Terrible service. In the morning, they forgot to bring me breakfast - had to wait for an hour. In the evening - they forgot to bring me drink with dinner - had to take it to my room afterwards. Unpleasant to say the least.

The room that we were in for a gathering was attractive. The service was good. This hotel is about twenty minutes from a train station. A good venue for a smallish gathering.

I arranged a surprise meal and invited two special friends for my son’s 50th birthday last night. The room was perfect. If he didn’t realise he was 50 before, he certainly did when he entered the room … the ‘50’ balloon arrangement was huge and the flowers were wonderful. All organised by the staff. Gill and her team are so kind, friendly, welcoming with attention to detail. The food as always, was amazing. You made his memories very special. Thank you guys.

The staff were very helpful, pleasant, and polite. Lovely room, one towel between two people and one packet of biscuits. Breakfast was really nice except for the toast came about 5+ minutes before the breakfast. Lovely setting, ideal for weddings.

Lovely dog-friendly hotel literally 15 minutes from NEC. Access via busy dual carriageway and SatNav said we were there about 200m before we actually were (so don't worry). Plenty of parking at the front and overflow carpark up ramp to the rear of the hotel. Rooms are spotless, large and well maintained. Have kettle, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits (ask at reception for milk). There are also toiletries in the shower. There is a note to say to allow for the hot water to come through, but when it did it was glorious and plenty of pressure too. Blackout curtains are effective. There is a fold down table, ironing board, and a small table with chairs for morning drinks. We had booked a table for 6.30, but the restuarant doesn't actually open until 7pm, we were taken to our table at 7.10, but didn't receive starter until gone 7.30. Service was slow with a long pause between courses, especially between main and dessert. The team serving were fabulous - friendly, smiley and attentive but not overly fussy. The food itself was tasty and reasonable sized portions giving value for money. Bed comfortable, two pillows of different softness. Our room was to the rear of the hotel above the kitchen and the extractor fan can be heard (went off around 10ish; on at 6.30). Breakfast can be pre-ordered (useful if attending event at NEC) and you can also order sandwiches to go too which is a nice touch. Breakfast is ordered, but there is a good range to choose from including vegetarian and for cooked breakfast choice of eggs. Only "negative" was only having one standard size mushroom, which looked a little lonely (but I'm being pedantic). The wait was totally acceptable for breakfast and the coffee was lovely. All in all, great value B&B that is dog-friendly and a stones throw from the NEC and one that I will most definitely recommend and stay at again.

What a wonderful little gem of a place! Have visited twice now in two weeks for tea and cake and a stroll around the garden. Cakes are amazing, staff are lovely and bring food out to your table. The walled garden is full of lovely plants, some unusual and the insect life and especially the dragonflies just a wonder to watch. Thank you 😊
