Greggs in Camden

Sadly the filthiest takeaway I have ever come across. Lots of staff but none were allocated to clean or tidy. Lots of customers and all of us too desperate to eat quickly to challenge the dirt. Ashamed to say that I joined them as I had another 5 hours journey ahead of me. The tables were loaded with hours of leftovers. The bins stacked with overflowing disposables. The grime and bacteria is completely avoidable. Greggs justs needs to allocate staff to solely clean. Greggs has become a dirty but cheap place to eat everywhere, but Kings Cross is the worst I've seen.

It was just so good to get back to a Greggs’ breakfast roll! We had had a long flight from Australia with rubbish plane food … train/taxi to Kings X for our journey north to home. Greggs’ food may not be exciting but it is very reliable and good value for money … especially with the two breakfast rolls and coffee deal! It was certainly busy with a constant line at the counter. However, they seem to have the supply process running very efficiently … the wait to be served was short.

In short a great place for an economic breakfast to eat in or takeaway. My longer review disappeared when I changed from US to UK in the settings

got some teas and a sausage roll for our breakfast and took back to hotel.nice and hot and a great flavour.

Somebody took my place when it was my turn to be served and swore at me when I challenged him about it. Staff said that has nothing to do with them and that they have to serve him anyway. Their manager said I should report it to Network Rail because they are the owners of the business... I told him I wouldn't buy anything from Greggs again and he said that's ok. So, if he is ok with people ditching Greggs for good, this is what I would advise everyone to do. The pizza slice and soup I bought were not great and went cold by the time I got back to the office. They were lukewarm to start with but consuming them on the spot was not an option due to the filthy state of the tables. The manager had just been hanging around laughing and joking with the staff when I spoke to him. Presumably, he didn't see anything wrong with the rubbish and breadcrumbs left on the tables either. I will stick with Pret next time. Never such issues there, even though I have used them a lot more often. Don't make the same mistake I made.

I went to get some pastries for lunch. Service was good and prompt and product is of standard Greggs quality. Good value.

Placed a clicking collect order with this branch of Gregg's, received confirmation the order was ready to collect. Made my way to the store to collect, to be told that they had run out of most of the items earlier in the day and would I like to pick something else, though there was next to nothing left. I opted instead to have a refund to be told, they couldn't do that.I would need to contact customers services for a refund, which I did, and the reply was on this occasion we are happy to refund your payment, which anyone would expect if you take an order you can't fulfil. With this in mind, I can only provide this branch 1 rating due to lack of products throughout the opening times, and also customer services at Gregg's failed to win back for them by genuinely sounding like they wanted to try and resolve the issue. I always have been a big fan of Gregg's, but maybe they need to step back and get back to what they do well at most of their stores, great customer service, wide range of fresh products, and putting their customers first.
