Now trading as G. Astrologia we visited on a quiet evening earlier this month and - despite being the only guests on the evening - had a great time and would definitely recommend to anyone watching. The service was exceptional from, I believe, Angelika. My T-Bone was perfectly cooked, my companions also vouched for their meals and the dessert was sublime. Special mention for the Aires Andino Malbec - nectar at the price - perfect serving temperature - enhanced and complemented a good night out. Quality.

We visited Green's for the first time for our anniversary last June. From the moment we walked in the staff were tentative and friendly, the service we received was of high standard. The food was amazing from start to finish, the Calamari was cooked to perfection and my husband enjoyed his bone marrow starter. The steaks are to die for, the ribeye on the bone was cooked to perfection and the chateaubriand was just ultimate melt in your mouth. The homemade brownie with ice cream was the icing on the cake of such a lovely evening, worth every penny and we can't wait to go back for more.

I dined in Greens Southgate for the 1st time on a Thursday with some work friends & i was very pleasantry surprised. we had the Royal witch is a sharing platter & it was just Amazing........Mouth watering steak & delicious meaty ribs. The cocktails were also very good. The restaurant it self was warm cosy & welcoming. it was a very lovely evening & ill definitely be back soon :)

Amazing food and even better cocktails..... I had a very pleasant evening at Greens Southgate. We dined in the restaurant on a Thursday as a works night out the food was amazing we had the Royal and the cocktails were even better the ambience of the restaurant was warm cosy and welcoming thank you so much I will be back

Me and my wife booked here for valentines after hearing about this little hidden gem from some of our friends. We arrived a bit late but the manager (at least we presume she was the manager )quickly got a table set up for us. We had the ‘Special Valentines Day Cocktail’ which my wife loved. For the starters I had scallops from the regular menu and my wife was really curious about the cucumber carpaccio so we ordered it, and we were so glad we did it was really good. For the mains I had already preordered the lobster for myself and my wife had the serloin, both which were delicious. For dessert I ordered the sticky toffee pudding and my wife had the trio of sorbet, I wasn’t too keen on the sticky toffee pudding but my wife loved it so I had her sorbet. The only down side to the whole evening was the fact they had no soya milk but that is more than fine we both had hot drinks and 2 little chocolate cakes each which was a nice little treat. Even though the restaurant was busy we felt like the staff was really well organised and the service was 10/10 so overall our experience at Greens was really good. We will definitely be back soon this time with our children. Thank you to all the staff at Greens for making our Valentines Day a little more special.

We visit at least twice a year, this time we were advised to try the Rump Steak which did not disappoint. The best steak we’ve had here yet! Service as always was fab.

So we came here again,and it was fabulous as always,thanks to the Greens for such a good job,the steak i had it was out of this world,very good and warm service 10/10

The steak was burnt, not happy with the quality of food served. Service was okay but the price does not reflect the food, the starters were better than main courses. The fish some of us ordered was disgusting, I would avoid this place.

Used to go regularly and enjoyed the food. Haven’t been for ages and returned recently to see new menu. Was virtually empty. Halloumi starter was basic, insubstantial and bad value for money. Chicken wings sparse and overcooked. Onion rings rock hard and inedible. Chicken burger overcooked, dry and also very bland, couldn’t eat it. Found hair in chips. Lovely! Smoke burger average. Hard to get so much wrong. Was offered a desert to make up for it (had to assert we would not pay full bill under circumstances) which completely missed the point. The food was very poor... Lovely waitress, tried her best but the kitchen were clearly having an off day. Surprised that on weekend, the place was virtually empty yet the food took a long time. Expensive for what it is. Won’t be rushing back...

Driving through Southgate, Greens looked very nice from the outside if not a little dark. I must say it did look like it was closed until we got closer. Inside the decor was very nice but the restaurant is rather small, meaning a number of the tables were very small (later this did prove an issue). Was greeted nicely by the manager but I got the impression that if you wish to eat here you may be wise to book in advance as only a few tables were available to those who hadn't booked (it was a Saturday evening though, so fair enough). The waitresses who served us (2 different girls) were both very nice. I did feel though the restaurant is trying to be a bit like a fine dining restaurant but it is very far away from this level, even though the prices are quite expensive for what you get. Silly little things like not giving us steak knives or condiments until we asked, I mean it's not a big deal but it's little things that sometimes make for a better experience. We ordered the sharing platter for our mains (The Nobleman) & I personally was a little disappointed. Probably more so because I'm not sure it was value for the money it cost. The meal consisted of the following; Sirloin Steak, Half Rack Ribs, Chicken Wings, Mac & Cheese, Onion Rings, Slaw & thick cut chips (steak fries). The steak was ok. A bit fatty but cooked nicely. The ribs & wings were plastered in BBQ sauce & for us that made them very sweet. Not the worst, but I have had better. The onion rings were certainly not to our tastes as the were essentially a ring of thick greasy batter. The slaw was fine & the mac and cheese unfortunately had blue cheese in it (this is obviously just a personal dislike of ours, I'm sure many others would love this as even I have to admit it was ok). Also wasn't told we could change the thick cut fries for skinny ones, which was a shame but again not a massive issue. Back to the table sizes... the dish we were served was so big we couldn't get two plates on the table to put the food on. Also both our drinks were on the same side of the table (see picture) because of the lack of space. Just found this a little strange. The biggest issue for us was that it took 50 minutes for the food to arrive. I personally have a rule that if I'm not served within an hour I leave & they came close! Two other tables that arrived after us were served food before us which I found strange & the other pet annoyance of mine is that staff were eating while customers were waiting. Of course this is all just personal opinion & speaking with other customers on the night others enjoyed their food & said they would return. I would probably give them another go as the whole experience was ok. The home made sticky toffee pudding for afters certainly left us feeling a lot more happy with the whole experience as that was delicious. So yes we reserve our judgement and I think 3 stars with a "give it another chance" attitude is a fair reflection on Greens.

We eat here for all our big family birthdays and are rarely disappointed. Last night the food was great. The service however left something to be desired. Drinks were ordered and took an age to arrive It was over an hour for main courses and when they did arrive we had no correct cutlery on the table and were told they had run out of fries. I had a tiny portion, the remainder took over 15 minutes to arrive. The staff here are lovely but for a restaurant of this price bracket who add 10% service charge you would be in your rights to expect more. I might return but may be tempted to try alternatives after this visit.

Have been to this place plenty before and the food is always consistent. Always friendly service and the food is always amazing, we get all the starters and share everything, as it’s all so good it’s to hard to just pick 1. steaks are always cooked as they are requested. Burgers are a little too big, is probably the only complaint. Sticky toffee pudding is great and the warm brownie is amazing. Staff are alway very friendly and ready to answer questions and requests.

So its our 2nd visit here and i have to say it was fabulous,there is a new menu,we had skewers,and Lamb i have to say it was 10/10 service was warm and welcoming we will be back soon Greens...

food and service very good. But this comment is about the honesty of the staff after I payed the bill I went outside for a smoke the waitress come out to till me I give her 50£ to much and give me the money back what a team at Southgate restaurant definitely see you again. 👍👍

I don’t usually leave reviews but this place deserves a review. The service was warm and friendly and the food was amazing. They were busy but they still got our starters (bone marrow and calamari) out quickly and they were delicious. Our main was a T-bone steak cooked medium-rare and a 310g fillet medium which were cooked to perfection, we are meat lovers so this was exceptional, we had red wine sauce and the reccomended peppercream sauce. We also had the butter fried mushrooms with the seasonal vegetable’ which was Savoy cabbage, it was also amazing! We were so full but we noticed the cheese board so we had to order!

Me and my Girlfriend had a lovley time in here,syeaks cooked so well,i had Medium rare ribeye it was absolutely perfect we will be back with friends in the feture

I can't believe how much this place has changed since I last wrote a review. It was my partners birthday and he really fancied a "nice juicy steak" so we went to Greens. I ordered the smaller fillet medium and he ordered the larger fillet medium rare. He didn't get a larger steak but what appeared to be 2 smaller ones placed on top of each other one was medium the other cooked a lot more and mine was so well done I had to complain. there wasn't any other customers in the restaurant at the time so how could it be so wrong. Yes we weren't charged for my steak and did get dessert on the house but quite honestly we had been looking forward to our lovely steaks and I don't think we will be going again

Took my mother and wife here for Sunday Lunch. The portions were too large for them. I managed now problem. Typical Sunday lunch roast beef with yorkshires potatoes and veg. Very tasty indeed.

Visited to celebrate a family birthday after a having a very nice meal a couple of weeks before - thought we would use again. Totally different experience this time. The service was dreadful. No effort at all made to look after us. Wrong steaks delivered with no apology . Waitress didn’t know the difference between ribeye and sirloin. A Lemon Posset was served up in a glass without the berry compote on the menu and no plate underneath so the spoon was put straight on the table. Also the menus are very stained and shabby and need changing. We spent nearly £300 on a very poor experience. Disappointing - won’t be back. Would not recommend.

Visited here with my Girlfreind, as soon as you open the door you know it's going to be mor expensive than you had planned. However the food is amazing !

Had a lovely meal here on thursday and have really enjoyed every minute. Nothing was to much trouble for any of the staff they were all lovely, pleasant and friendly

Have been waiting to try this restaurant for sometime and I finally got to do this early Saturday evening. We walked in and were greeted quit warmly show to a table and then given two rather Grubby menu’s this was rather off putting then ask if we would like a drink my partner order a beer and myself just a water they arrived fairly quickly the waitress had clearly never been shown how to pour a beer out as the glass was full of Froth and had to wait a while till he could drink it this happened again on his next beer , we both order burgers which I have to say were delicious full of flavour. We also had French fries and dirty fries the dirty fries were ok but the Canine pepper was overdone on them we then had a cookie and ice cream nothing special at all just a cookie which could have been brought at any Supermarket and stocked in the microwave to warm up there was only a few other customers in the restaurant and it truly lacks atmosphere which is such a disappointment So over all a superb burger but staff training in certain aspects need to be addressed and the Cleanliness of menus

This used to be my favourite local restaurant, sadly not anymore. We visited early Friday evening, the place felt grubby, tables were sticky etc. I ordered a fillet steak - it is a steakhouse afterall! However, was informed they didnt have any fillet steak ! It seems impossible that a steakhouse wouldn't have fillet on a friday night. We later ordered the cheese board with 'homemade apple chutney' - we were given a curried chutney with lumps of carrots in, clearly bought from asda in a jar. And to top this, we were given just four crackers!! I feel so disappointed to write this review as I loved it here. Greens, please sort this out and go back to providing the quality of food from a year ago.

Hay mucho esfuerzo en la decoración de Green's, aunque el trabajo de ladrillos a la vista y los asientos de cuero marrón pulido no flotan en mi bote. La iluminación es un poco demasiado brillante para ser romántica (aunque quizás sea buena para una primera cita), pero con paredes oscuras, mesas oscuras, sillas oscuras, ¡se necesita un poco de iluminación!

Two of us visited Greens tonight and we will not be going back anytime soon ,apart from paying 75 pounds for one course (sirloin steak), 2 glasses of wine and a cider ,which I consider to be top end pricewise, I understand that the 10% discretionary service charge does not go to the staff (if bill is paid by card) ,instead this goes to the business account of Greens and does not go to the people who are serving you.

Ate here today 26/5/2019 and was extremely disappointed the waiter came to us and asked if we would like drinks which were duly served then if we wanted to order, the food arrived one crispy pork belly NOT crispy colcannon mash NO cabbage red win jus 1/2 a jug of oil and a foul tasting liquid under it awful . Chicken burger was overcooked and very dry. There was no sign of the waiter all through our meal.Paid and left.

Our party of 4 traveling in London from the US found this great steak restaraunt. The food was amazing and the service impeccable. Highly recommend it!

Uno de mis favoritos ir a lugares para bistec. Tienen algunos tipos, mis favoritos son T - Bone o Solomillo. La comida es absolutamente deliciosa. Bistec siempre medio. Desde los laterales hasta los entrantes. Lo hacen, hacen una variedad de comidas y su salmón es simplemente para morirse. El servicio al cliente está más allá y por encima.

Went to greens steakhouse in Southgate for the first time last night and it certainly won't be the last. 4adults and a 2 year old. Good choice for my grandson.he started off with peppers and carrots with dips and then devoured his very tasty mac and cheese and chips while the adults all plumped for steaks. 1ribeye and 3 fillets all cooked to perfection with a choice of skinny or steak chips. The fillets came in a choice of 2 sizes and the small one was perfect for us . The waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. She was a delight. Really looking forward to going again. Well done to everyone involved.

Midweek lunch, very quiet as you would expect so no pressure on the one very friendly waitress and the chef. Friend and I both had the quarter ribs to start, followed by the bone in rib eye steak. It’s personal taste I guess but I’m prefer a thicker steak, what came was a large but thin piece of meat which in my case was in part nearly raw when asked for medium rare. Asked for it to be be cooked a little longer and it came back with freshly made steak chips which were excellent. If I wasn’t using my Tastecard, I would have found paying £29 far too much for that. So I would go again, it’s a nice place, but definitely not paying full price.

Bradley Green has certainly got this right! Had a very nice lunchtime meal in there, to meet my son and give the restaurant a try. We weren’t disappointed, the food was tasty. I had a burger and my son had a steak, all nicely presented, it is a classy venue. Our young lady server was polite and answered very well our questions about the company. Will certainly pay the Loughton restaurant a visit when it’s up and running as my other son lives near there. Another visit to this one wouldn’t go amiss either.

This is our third trip here and it's always really good quality food and lovely service. It's not the cheapest place to eat but the standards never change.

Came here and tried the Tomahawk steak! Absolutely amazing food and service. The starter of calamari and some pork crackling strips was so fresh and tasty and the steak was seriously good. I am a big foodie and cannot fault this restaurant, food and its service. Nice ambience too. Would definitely return for food if ever in the area again.

On arriving we were told there would be a delay in serving the meals as they had two large parties in. ( we feel they should of warned us when booking, as these were long standing bookings)

It says on this website that this restaurant closes at 22:00 - 23:00.....I ordered at 21:00 from Palmers green 5-10 minutes away. ....my order was ACCEPTED so clearly it wasn't too late, but my delivery was late. When the food came the chips were soggy and cold, burger was cold too. It took long for the driver to be confirmed so Deliveroo phoned me saying that the order was cancelled but it still came. I said hello to the driver , he just looked at me and ignored me then walked away as if I done something wrong. My Whatsapp told me the drivers name was Salih. Tell Salih to fix his attitude and grow up. I wasn't going to complain until he showed up.

We were in this repair shop with my boyfriend. Nice atmosphere, good service, excellent steaks and wine. We will come there again. Recommend

We have been to Greens a few times now since moving nearby and have enjoyed it every time. Excellent service and staff and the food is always delicious. We and our friends or family have always left very happy and impressed. Looking forward to our next meal already! My favourite so far is the fillet steak with the colcannon mash and salad. It's all nice!

Went to Greens on Sunday, The food was great, cooked perfectly, good size portions and really tasty. The best meal I have had anywhere in the area for a long time.

I had no complaints really - everything was fast and on point. Portions were big and tasty for a good price. Staff was also very friendly and I will definitely come back.

We had a very nice lunch at Greens in Southgate today. My sirloin steak was cooked to perfection and presentation was just right.

It's the size of the portions that marks this place out. Very generous sides and all tastes quite good. Service is ok and price is very reasonable for what you get. Worth a try.

Very good steak with delicious trimmings. We went on Sunday as a family of four. All were happy with their food.Three of us had steak which was beautifully cooked. The other one had ribs with coleslaw, which looked and tasted great The service was good too!

The steaks here are always lovely, served with a variety of sauces or completely bare. The roasted garlic is just a perfect accompaniment. Nice atmosphere and a better location than before as the area is more buzzing.

One of the most annoying things is waiting ages for food, especially when you’re hungry. When we popped our head through the door, there were only two other tables so we thought it would be quick.

I was in the area so I decided to dine (solo) at Green's Steakhouse, they had a fab lunch time deal on, so opted for that. I chose the the bbq chicken wing starter and steak main - both courses were delicious!

El personal era atento y educado. Sin duda volveré de nuevo.

This place is perfectly ok, the food is fine, service good but just didn’t wow me and £60 for two mains and a bottle of water just not great value.

Desgraciadamente me sirve el bistec mal, un chuletón en vez de un solomillo, y por alguna razón que no me puedo quejar y yo comimos. Fuimos de nuevo el jueves, el servicio era perfecto, nos dieron la comida correcta, que puede añadir estaban muy bien presentado y no sólo nos dieron un descuento, pero también nos dieron vasos de vino de cortesía y postres. No se puede conseguir algo mejor que eso. Mi amigo realmente disfrutamos de su carne, pero probablemente estoy un poco más molesto de lo que él es, y me pareció que la carne era normalito, era bastante duro y negro, pero como ya he dicho que puede ser me ser demasiado particular. así que recomiendo este restaurante para pasar una agradable velada.

Este es un gran lugar. El servicio era bueno. Pero muerto deja en mi plato para una guarnición luego no poner una ensalada con mi carne deje la comida. También cobran 2 libras pot pequeño de bearnesa me parecía caro. Yo pensé que esos pequeños detalles defraudarlos. Pero estaba bien preparado carne éramos las únicas personas allí así que sí esperaba. Servimos una ensalada. agradable con la comida y volveré! !

The place was a little "too British" for me. We barley touched our dinners, skipped dessert and ran out of there! I know this restaurant is a big deal in London, but Americans beware...

Having looked at previous mixed reviews for both Greens and other local competition we decided to give it a try.

No estaba realmente buzy pero creo que no había suficiente personal, sin embargo le pedí al camarero si podía sentarse en la parte de atrás donde había una mesa para dos, pero dijo lo siento, no tenemos ninguna mesas pequeñas, así que me dio una mesa en el frente, que era para 5 personas, 'Cómo funciona".

Como entré en el restaurante me saludó el personal amable y me senté. Yo estaba fascinado por el menú y pedimos la XO burger. La hamburguesa llegó más rápido de lo que esperaba y sabía bien que estaba perfectamente cocinado y jugoso y yo disfrutamos de su salsa de hamburguesa. En general, mi experiencia en el restaurante era agradable y recomendaría que la gente visite y yo volveré.

I could say a lot about this place on several different issues. First time visiting the new location since it moved and straight away felt that there was no atmosphere in the restaurant. The small, dark, low ceiling unit has no charm and is very noisy. It is nothing like the old building which was very nice and had character.

Este es un nuevo restaurante en Southgate con un menú limitado que debe suficientemente para permitir calidad. El servicio es bastante bueno y atento y la decoración agradable y limpia. El problema es que la comida está bien pero no es fabulosa, ocupa un poco de un nicho en el área local, sin embargo si que es sobrevivir y atraer a la gente más de una vez: la calidad necesita para subir. El menú principal es de categoría hamburguesas, filetes con un pequeño menú para niños y una sola opción para vegetarianos, hay peces, pero es bastante caro. Los aperitivos son la muy aburrida regular o calamares que ofrece sólo un poco demasiado inteligente para el restaurante - evitar el huevo frito amigas.

Very recently visited here, perfect place to take your partner to a romantic dinner date.The food was absolutely delicious especially "The XO" burger!! Customer service was brilliant especially Lawerence who was very enthusiastic ( pay rise needed). The owner was also very friendly and took the time to thank me for visiting.

Overpriced, poor quality and tasteless food. Went here for a 40th birthday party in a group of 8 and not one us had a good meal. Hang your heads in shame if you call yourself a steakhouse and cannot cook meat in line with your customer's orders and you main product, the steak, is sub-standard, cheap supermarket style meat The staff did acknowledge our meal had been really bad and reduced the food bill by 50%. Read the other reviews, this place is consistently bad and at £29 for a rib-eye is dreadful value.

We were fortunate enough to be invited for the opening night in July by Brad Green and had a wonderful evening. As I was a coeliac a steak was cooked for me to try, also tasters of ribs and chips. Steak was fab along with ribs and chips cooked to perfection. Decided to visit again on Halloween night. The service was excellent. We both had steak, fillet and rib eye. I asked for medium rare and when I got to the middle it was raw. The chips were also lukewarm. I complained about the steak and showed it to the waiter and he offered us complimentary sweets. I had lost my appetite by that time and just wanted to settle the bill and leave. Very unlikely to return.

Went to Greens with the family for my birthday. Wonderful atmosphere as soon as you walk in. The staff were very welcoming especially Adella. The food was fabulous and there wasn't a clean plate left. Dessert went down so well and the portions were huge, which the kids loved. Adella took care of all evening and at the end of the meal she presented us with a bottle of prosecco on the house for my birthday. I've already booked to go for a Christmas meal with friends. Couldn't recommend a better place to eat.

A midweek visit with the family for a birthday celebration. We'd been to Green's a number of times in it's old location, this was our first visit since the move. It's quite small but beautifully decorated, staff were lovely, asking us if we were visiting for a special occasion. There's a good value kids menu, with the main menu being small but enough choice for all. Between us we tried out the ribs, burgers and steaks, all cooked to perfection, there's also veggie options. The staff bought out some ice cream with a candle and a free bottle of birthday bubbly which was a lovely touch. We weren't at all rushed and there was plenty of customers even midweek. We'll be back for sure.

very good food and service would recommend best stakes in town, very good service could not fault. I will certainly be returning.

Visited the new place on the High Street twice in September. Despite being virtually empty it took nearly half an hour to give drinks order, a further 15 minutes to get them. Took 45 minutes to order food and when it arrived the meat was already lukewarm.Ordered the XO burger and asked for it to be well done. It was rare in the middle and lacked any real flavours. Within seconds the grease had turned the bun to mush and it became impossible to eat, Two course meal for two with one round of drinks cost upwards of £55. That's £50 too much in my opinion.Veggies are considered in passing and the menu is limited.The place is devoid of atmosphere.

Absolutely loved our meal here. The bar staff were great and very knowledgeable.The menu was varied and the food was incredible. I would highly recommend Chateaubriand to anyone who hasn't tried it.

so we booked a table for 8 a few weeks back for 7:30 PM. My friend called yesterday to see if we could move it to 8 PM, firstly they couldn't find the booking and then they said it would be okay. So we turned up last night and were told to wait. Now this place is quite small and tight for space. Then we watched us they started moving people and tables around. They had put a few tables right by the door, sorry but if you expect people to pay the prices you charge then do not expect adults to sit on small tables and chairs by the shop front it would be okay if it was some mid range restaurant/cafe. I would expect better service the employees were not very organised and professional. They looked bewildered when we arrived. We left the premises. Went to buckle and vaughan and had a lovely dinner. I had also emailed a few weeks ago to ask whether there were any gluten free options for Coeliacs to which i still have not had a response.

We visited Greens on their opening week in their new location on Southgate High Street. We had visited several times in their previous location and enjoyed it a lot. We left so disappointed this time and have not returned since despite being locals and crave food eating venues in our doorstep. For the prices paid which are central London prices I would expect a far better experience. It is way too cramped inside. Elbow to elbow, waitresses with no room to manoeuvre - exemplified by first my wife having a knife dropped onto her back from a tray and also a glass as they tried to squeeze past. My starter which was calamari was frankly a rip off - six spindly rings with hardly any meat on them and fried with an inch of their scrawny lives. Skip the starters. They are over priced nonsense. However I did enjoy my steak which was cooked as I wanted and was a good size. However one our party ordered a larger steak and was served the smaller one and on querying this it was taken back to kitchen for verification which was somewhat offensive. The reply was we will charge you the lower price - what you mean the correct price for something he didn’t order? We were asked how it was going and we gave balanced feedback and the manager (I presume) who asked seemed offended by the feedback. After all the mistakes and things being tipped on my wife we were offered free deserts but it was so so slow we gave up. Took ages to pay and no farewell on departure. So disappointed. What happened? Too expensive for lack lustre service and good accuracy.

Green's Steakhouse is newly located on Southgate high street. Open from Midday to around midnight. Green's moved from a spot between Southgate high street and Southgate Green and I think its now better located. Its a little smaller, opened around July 2017 and makes great steaks, burgers, ribs, grilled fish and a really good beef sunday lunch. The interior is also tastefully designed with a cosy welcoming feel. The leather bench seating is comfy, music is at a nice level and the ambience is just right for smart casual dining.We have been several times now and its normally fairly busy. Service is very friendly and the food arrives quickly. Steaks start at around £21 with a variety of sides at £4 and a selection of Red, White wines, beers and cocktails are available.We just had Sunday lunch and the Beef was excellent. Cooked medium rare with roast potatoes, peas and carrots in a lovely butter sauce. You get a selection of sauces accompanying the gravy which was rich and tasty. We eat out for Sunday lunch around once a month and this is one of the best we've had in North London.We tried one of the Mojito mocktails last time and perhaps not the best I've had certainly worth a try if you want a soft drink. They have a nice selection of red and white wines that work well with the mains.Save room for the desert! We had a brownie with ice cream which was delicious and a nice end to the meal. We will definitely return.Green's steakhouse is a great addition to the Southgate and North London dining experience. Well done.

Recently moved premises, although well decorated i do feel they have tried to cram in too many tables, felt a little cramped if honest. Totally understand why they have moved and makes good business sense, but personally the previous buiding had loads more space and character. Strange dining experience as felt the starter (calamari) was poor value and portion too small £6.95 for 6 rings of calamari and the main for me rib eye steak was too big, i have never before taken steak home to the hound !, it was huge and the quality ok rather than melt in your mouth yummy. The wifes ribs were scrummy and the burgers looked good so although a steakhouse that is the route i would go down on my next visit.

Food okay, tables close together, staff not customer friendly. Won't be returning! More atmosphere at the old premises.

Sat down to be told we have 2 hours limit . Never a good start especially when you have reserved a table for a birthday celebration. Steaks arrived, 2 of which were still cold and practically still raw . Don't bother going , highland Angus is a far better steak house locally .

We stayed there for 3 days. It would not be a problem to eat there 6 times ! Best restaurant in town (but noisy).

I used to come to this restaurant a lot when it was in its old location so decided to try the new one. The food has not dropped in standard, still excellent.But it has now become so crowded almost claustrophobic when full. The tables are so close together and if youre near the door you have people waiting with their bodies practically touching your food. Service was very slow albeit friendly.

Even though this is a newly opened Green's Steakhouse it is already my second visit. I had the Tiger Prawns this time which were excellent and also tried the mac cheese side which was great too. However, the brownies are exquisite so even if you have the chateau Briand you should still try a dessert!The staff were also as friendly, helpful and knowledgeable as last time. I highly recommend a meal here, you can now get a good steak in Southgate without a commute to central London!

I've been hearing a lot about Greens from all my friends that live nearby so i thought I'd give it a try but this restaurant has brought top service to Southgate and having amazing food just round the corner of my house is all you could ever dream of when you want to treat your friends with an awesome meal.So I've visited them on a Wednesday and the place was packed as people were waiting outside for a table to be free and having cocktails on the terrace. The waiters were very courteous and attentive and explained the menu in detail to us, making sure we get the right type of steakes we want. The steakes came cooked to perfection according to our requirements and everything was delicious. My partner asked for a Black&Blue fillet and it was the best he ever had!! And he does know what he talks about as we always had dinner downtown before when we want to have a decent steak, but that's about to change thanks to Greens comprehensive menu!! Should i also mention the desserts, cause if you want to hear about that I'd say they have the best brownie i had in years! The bartender lady made our cocktails so tasty and she decorated them so lovely! Not to forget the music which was adding to the atmosphere although the place being packed got a bit noisy with all the people talking and laughing. We saw another table had some small issues about their food but guess they were the extra fussy type of people that just want to show off to their table colleagues that they are posher than the other customers. We had a wonderful time and we HIGHLY recommend the venue to anyone having a celebration or a discrete dinner with family or friends.Thanks to all the staff at Greens for going the extra mile with us and being so friendly and indeed I'd reccomend booking first as it's crowded every evening.We will be back more than often, as we have a pretty busy business schedule and we love dining out, having more time for us and leave the cooking to the experts!!

The service is awful, I was told I had to wait for the waitress to take other people's orders before she could bring me ketchup for my burger which we had to ask for three times. There was a hair in one of the jacket potatoes to start. They didn't bring the coleslaw we ordered. We asked for the jacket potato to be taken off of the bill which they couldn't do for some reason. They gave us a £10 voucher instead which won't be used again. Let me start on the burgers, the patty was burnt and crunchy, it was disgusting. This isn't how a burger should be cooked. Stated it had lettuce served with it which I didn't receive.Do yourselves a favour and go to McDonald's it's opposite, you're welcome x

Where do I start?! My brother and I took my dad here for his birthday as we thought it would be nice to try a new local restaurant. We ordered our starters and main course together, wings, sliders and the calamari. The wings and sliders arrived, both mediocre, but the calamari didn't. When we asked for the calamari and it eventually arrived, we were disgusted at the plate before us. 6 pieces of the most unappealing calamari I have ever seen. It was 100% not fresh and tasted like cardboard. Not off to a good start. We waiting 45mins for our mains...I ordered the rib on bone medium rare, my dad rib-eye medium and my brother the ribs. When my order came the skinniest steak ever seen was on my plate, and it was so overcooked you could see how dry it was, I had to send it back. My dad's rib-eye was so tough he struggled to cut it with a steak knife and couldn't finish it, and the ribs were extremely fatty. My new steak arrived and it was raw. Not rare, but RAW!!! The chef obviously doesn't know what he is doing because any decent chef knows you have to rest your steak for at least 10minutes! Sent the steak back and it came back raw again. At this point I was so disgusted at the food I lost my appetite. The sides were also awful, the mushrooms were swimming in oil and the sugar snap peas were so overcooked they were mushy. Do yourself a favour and never visit this restaurant. I would get a better steak in a Wetherspoons! And they call themselves a steakhouse?! They should be embarrassed.

Pouring rain. Needed a quick decision and stumbled across this delightful place. Staff were really good with the recommendations. Both steaks cooked to perfection. Was in and out quickly. Go and enjoy!

We had terrible service here. We had a booking, and it took 2 different ladies to both approach us & leave us waiting before eventually being seated. Slow service all evening. The steaks were nice but for nearly £100 for steaks, drinks & 1 dessert, over priced. We had to ask 4 times for the bill. Wouldn't go back. Very average.

This was my first visit and as I understand it a relatively new venue for a well established steak house. We pre booked which was just as well as it was fairly crowded. We were seated in a row of two seat tables running up the middle, with waitresses and people brushing past on both sides. It took a long time before they took our order but the food, when served, was excellent, although the table became very cramped.The major downside was the noise. It was difficult to have a proper conversation and it did mar the evening. The restaurant really should consider soundproofing what appears to be a painted concrete ceiling.If you like a good steak, and you like to eat off-peak then I would recommend it.

Thoroughly enjoyed my evening at Green's with good friends!! Staff were very good & helpful with recommended choices & questions we had on ordering... service was great & well the food... fantastic presentation & the best burger I have ever had, Calamari & battered pickles were also very very good indeed! Will definitely be coming back with the husband & family/friends!

On arrival at Greens the staff were extremely friendly. The food was all fantastic and fresh! I Had a wonderful evening with friends there and I would definitely be returning again with others!! Overall the service was brilliant!

Have visited Greens several times when it was not on the high street and it felt more upmarket. New location feels like a diner. Visited on opening night and had to wait 45 mins before food delivered and while the steaks were excellent, they were only warm. I informed the manager who apologised but really should have made an offer of a drink on the house or a discount if we returned or something. Instead, just an apology and promise that it would improve. Won't be returning in a hurry.
