No really a restaurant, just a few tables at which you can eat cakes and such with a cup of tea or coffee. Does not justify being called a restaurant.

A lovely shop, very pleasant and helpful staff. It has a small area with a few table and chairs where you can enjoy refreshments. This was handy as The Carlton a few doors down closed it coffee shop at 3.30pm.

My daughter and I popped in here yesterday during a day out in the area. This shop really is a mix of everything - and I mean that in a good way. It is a fairly large grocery store, Post Office, takeaway, and there is a small seating area too, amongst other things within the store. To give some examples, they offer Fisher and Donaldson's bakery items, Jannettas Gelateria, and Costa Coffee. We were not quite sure what the ordering set up was for sitting in, and decided to order what we wanted at the takeaway section, this appeared to be the correct way of doing it, and our order was later brought over to us at the seating section. The seating section is small with three tables and chairs, but is quite a nice little setting of its own within the store. The area is segmented off from the rest of the store by painted pallets! Unusual and different. The section is named 'food' which is spelled out by an F, a hanging bicycle with the two wheels representing the O's, and then a D. Our food order arrived and was enjoyed. My daughter had a barbequed pulled pork wrap, whilst I had a Prawn Marie Rose filled roll, and an orangey type of Danish pastry. To sum up - This was an enjoyable, different experience, good food, and in our opinion represented very good value for money especially as there is no extra charge for sitting in. We would definitely make a return visit here.

When the weather turns cold, shops closed, you don’t want a restaurant, just a cuppa, Alexander and George will make you welcome. Enticed by the chips! Feel much better now. Thanks guys!

Had afternoon Tea today(Sunday). The view is stunning, overlooking the golf course and the Forth. We had to wait around 10 minutes and received 4 types of sandwiches, a plain scone and fruit scone and a variety of cakes. The scones were some of the best I’ve ever had- warm from the oven, the cakes were light. We received a bottle of water and large pot of tea but had to ask for glasses. The toilets were a bit more dated than the restaurant but clean

Tasty.... My friend and I visited here fir the 1st time. Very pleasant surroundings, equally pleasant staff. We sat through the back which was very nice. The coffee was really nice but the Rhubarb Loaf.....well!! It was amazing! I'll definitely be going again

Went for steak night but extremely disappointed. Asked for medium steak but was more rare.Few soggy chips, hard peas and two underdone soggy onion rings. No salad as advertsed. Food was also cold. Asked for a prosecco and was told had no cold ones . Was given small one off top shelf behind bar but when I opened it it was completely flat and very yellow so I think it must have been on the shelf a long while! Lady opened big bottle which again came from top shelf so was not cold but was bubbly. Can't believe there was no bottles in wine fridge. Sticky toffee pudding was good though. Seeing as there was just one other couple in the restaurant there really was no excuse for steak meal being so poor as kitchen not rushed. Won't be rushing back!!!
