Great Scotts Bar in West Dunbartonshire

We have been here more than a couple of times and I just love the warm and cosy feeling the interiors have got, the seating outside has got heaters, but I prefer it only during summers or when its not windy. The service can be a hit or a miss, our first experience was very smooth, we were attended and explained very well, whilst our second visit wasn't as quick and took more than 20-30 minutes for us to be attended, the staff is sweet but hopefully can work on the wait times. I would love to see a few more vegetarian options to nibble with the drinks, nevertheless we opted for Gyoza which was the only vegetarian option but was great and perfectly presented.

Even with the bar less than half full we waited 30 minutes and drinks never came, a nice view but not worth waiting that long for a glass of whisky

Hit and miss. Went in for drinks one evening and couldn’t have had more attentive service. Atmosphere was good and welcoming. Went in at an afternoon 2 days later and after waiting 15/20 minutes for a Diet Coke and black coffee had to ask them to cancel as wouldn’t have had enough time to make it to sea plane - bar was not busy at all and another couple that overheard said they’d waited similar time and not been served yet.

Terrible atmosphere, understaffed, dirty with 30+ empty glasses on the bar. Extremely disappointed considering that the hotel professes to be 5*. Hopefully I’ll never be back.

For the first time I visit here, atmosphere is really cosy and nice. There’s a lot of historic moments setting on the walls. Too classy tbh. The best part is sitting on the couch and enjoying the beauty of loch. Outstanding place. Quite huge and amazing decoration.

Great location with a huge whiskey list but staff was not friendly and never offered to assist or explain any options for whiskey. We came here several times and ate once. The food was ok but surprisingly the corn nibbles were absolutely delicious. The steak sandwich was difficult to eat as it was open faced. This bar would be so much better if the staff was engaging and offered to discuss/explain the whiskey.

Not so great... Been in twice in last year or so waited on being served for twenty plus minutes on each occasion and eventually walked out, despite being a member and the bar being nearly empty. I wouldn't waste your time

A wonderfully traditional Scots bar based in the Cameron House Hotel. Amazing place
