Granvilles in Stafford

Not open on Thursday night 2 weeks before Christmas!! Wanted to book for six people, very disappointing. I like granvilles service and food very good. But sometimes Friday, Saturdays not convenient 😒

My friend and I were invited to join in a wedding anniversary and combined birthday for two lovely people. The whole venue had been booked for this event . My main issues and those that determined my very poor experience were: 1. We were overcharged for our drinks and when I queried it I was me with an aggressive unhelpful attitude …. I doubt customer service is a mandatory training module for the staff 2. Empty glasses and plates were left uncleared on tables despite an abundance of staff who hovered around the bar . 3. The tables were haphazardly arranged and the seating was cramped 4. There was no interaction by staff with the customers 5. No hot water available in the ladies toilet 6. Toilet roll dispensers were empty and extra supplies were placed on the sanitary bins 7. There was black mold on the walls which had obviously been there for sometime. 8. The buffet was basic and not presented in an attractive way . I would not recommend this as a party venue … I would also strongly advise that the staff receive customer care training and that they focus on shift leadership . Poor show guys . I won’t be back

Came in looking for somewhere that was serving breakfast. We have the oat cakes and small breakfast. Highly recommended. Fabulous Food (Espically the oatcakes) very fresh. Staff were fab. Thank you Amber 🌟

We visited Granvilles to taste their new menu! As a family we tried the Braised Ox cheek which was delicious and melted in your mouth. The hot beef & gravy ciabatta also delicious, the Parma ham wrapped cod was mouth watering good and finally our youngest ordered the pancakes from the brunch menu which he cleaned the plate! Great service and atmosphere- we would recommend all dishes.

Family lunch yesterday. The water bottle for the table had black mould spots in. This was changed. My meal included chips in a small metal pot, which when I got towards the bottom, I could see was caked with something that looked like dried cheese. My meal and our drinks were taken off the bill. The young waitresses were lovely but the lady who I presume was the manager had an unpleasant demeanor. We definitely won't be going back.

First time visit midweek, lovely venue, great service and could not fault the food. Great selection of different meals on the menu, will definitely visit again.

Granvilles is located in the centre of the canal town of Stone, with plenty of nearby parking. We went on a Saturday evening, as there was a band we wanted to see. The band was great. Having booked in advance, we were shown to a table right next to an open door to a smoking area. It was cold, draughty and smelly, so we requested and were given another table. I ordered haddock & chips, my wife chose sea bass with spinach. The haddock was truly disgusting, a small, frozen fish portion, with soggy batter and overcooked inside. The chips were delicious, and I would have happily traded everything else for a few more chips. The sea bass, again was a very small portion, bulked out with mounds of potatoes, and a few pieces of spinach - no more than a garnish, swimming for it's life in a tasteless concoction which, I think, was supposed to be a veloute (savoury) sauce. Then, to add insult to injury, a SERVICE CHARGE was applied, which was never mentioned verbally or on a menu. So, effectively, the prices on the menus are untrue - simply a lie. I give Granvilles 2 stars, because we did enjoy the band, although to be honest, it was something of a rabble. Not the best, I'm afraid.

My family and I are regular visitors to Granvilles, so it was an easy choice when going out for lunch on a rainy saturday afternoon. The team were brilliant, especially Charlotte, making sure we had everything we needed and providing brilliant service. The food was amazing, and there was so much choice on the menu. Never disappointed when it comes to this place! Thankyou to the whole team 😊

We have not been to Granville's for a few years, and were amazed by the re-styling. Food was great, and the service from Steph was excellent.

Called in to collect my umbrella I'd left a few weeks ago when seeing a band at Granville's. Debs on front of house was super friendly and welcoming. I noticed that they'd started doing breakfast so popped in after shopping on way back to the car. Was not disappointed by my beautifully cooked full English sitting by the window enjoying a peaceful morning off. Would really recommend as a lovely brunch location.

Good food with plenty of choice at reasonable price. Decor and furnishing relaxing with plenty of room. Staff very attentive and helpful.

Food very basic would not recommend very small portions. after ordering fish and chips and a veg curry we we were starving. The veg curry was just like a starter and we had to order extra chips 3:50 and 2 rounds of bread for which they charged 3:00 which is daylight robbery. Spoke to the staff about the charges for 2 rounds of bread and they agreed but can't do anything about it. You can get better and more quantity food at weatherspoons accross the road Definitely won't be eating there again or recommending to anyone.

This place was supposed to be a great location for a work's Christmas do and our second time here. Meal was o.k., although the service was actually pretty good. Unfortunately the night was spoilt by a young lad barging into ladies in our group. Door staff were informed and refused to eject him. The meant two of our party left out of disgust. Shortly afterwards the same male tried assaulting another member of our party. This time the door staff ejected the member of our party! We are all middle aged people who were enjoying a catch up with colleagues and partners. it was completely destroyed by this individual and the door staff's inept behaviour and inaction. What on earth are they there for?? I'm going to make an assumption that the lad was a regular as I can't think of any reason why they would have taken this stance. Or perhaps they were just afraid of doing their job? Needless to say we won't be going back won't be recommended this as a safe place to go to. If the management wish to speak to me about this I am more than happy to.

Just returned from having breakfast, best breakfast I have had for a long while, service was attentive, price was reasonable too. Will be returning very soon, would recommend.

We had a really good brunch at Granvilles today - meeting up with friends we hadn't seen for 3 years, so that was great too. Excellent Sunday roast. Family of 6 dined today, great choice of starters, roasts and other main meals. Excellent dessert menu. Quality and quantity we all enjoyed our meals. I have eaten at Granville’s now on several different occasions and couldn’t recommend it more. Their food is always absolutely delicious, whether it be the Sunday dinner or their beautiful homemade pie. Definitely worth a trip for a delicious meal.

Had a fabulous lunch today with a friend here in Granvilles. Server Debi is friendly, welcoming and really helpful adding that personal touch. Would highly recommend, the atmosphere here is warm, cosy and intimate, very relaxing.
