We had a fantastic experience at this bubble tea shop. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the bubble tea was the best we've ever had. The shop itself was also very cozy and inviting. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious and refreshing bubble tea.

It is one of the best milk teas. This store is actually not very close to where I live, but no matter what time of night I have to come and have a cup of milk tea to satisfy myself. My husband tried to buy milk tea from various other stores to change my obsession, but all ended in failure😹The boss is very nice, very kind and friendly. If it weren't for the boss, we would have missed the rare annual lion dance performance, which was very disappointing Coincidentally, as soon as we arrived in Chinatown, we saw a lion 🦁 in our favorite milk tea shop! What a fate... Unfortunately time was limited and we had to go to the airport so we didn't get to have the last drink, but we will be back soon! I will come back every time I come to the UK! P.S. The boss came to the UK when he was very young, so he recommends ordering in English (o^^o)

My wife likes this milk tea very much. She drank four cups in three days. The peach milk tea + grass jelly topping is very delicious. His boss is also very nice. If he hadn’t recommended it, we would have almost missed the Spring Festival lion dance. Thank you. I wish you a prosperous business! (^_^)v

There was a short queue, but generally quite fast service, I used the self-checkout machines. My order probably got lost in the process, but the staff was very nice and resolved it quickly (in fact, one of the noticed on his own that I've been waiting longer than usual and ask me himself and then checked my order), very pleasant experience.

Visited this shop today . Very disappointed indeed with the 2 unfriendly staff members. Management if your reading this give them some customer service training it’s free to smile in London . Ordered an oat milk chocolate bubble tea for £5.45 using the kiosk. Waited nearly 25mins for my order despite the shop not being busy ! When confronted one of the staff said ‘orders on the kiosk can take longer if shop is busy ‘. Liar liar liar ! Other than me no one else had placed an order as they were busy reading the menu . The tea was horrible and il be complaining for a refund .

poor service, my Chinese friend orders a drink with less sugar, the staff secretly mocked her in English, saying they had never seen anyone order less sugar in their bubble tea. This behavior is extremely rude, and the taste of the drink is quite average. I highly advise against coming here; there's a Heytea next door, so why endure the unreasonable judgment from the staff?

The tapioca pearls were old and the milk tea was too sweet even though I asked for 70% sweetness.

The man who serves is very friendly and the blended mango ice is very delicious, 100% recommended

I went to Chinatown for a school trip and bought some chocolate milk tea with regular tapioca pearls. The pearls were nice, but the tea was extremely watery.

Went into Cha time at China town. There were two girls, looks like they decided to close the shop even before the closing time which is 12.00 am. We walked from far to get boba and came here thinking they are open. Entered and they said the store was closed. I told them the poster says they are open until 12.00am and they continued to tell me that they had no pearls. I didn’t want to cause any trouble so told them I’ll let them close and not have anything. They didn’t even acknowledge what I said, absolutely worst customer service. I know it’s the end of the day but to not reply when someone’s being polite. It’s not about customer service it’s about the way they are. Worst ever.

I got a matcha bubble tea here, and it was incredible.The service is quite quick but unfortunately you can't pay with cash.

This bubble tea has to be chatime’s worst location, I am a big fan of them in general but give up with the Chinatown store. Every single time without fail the boba is clumped together in a big lump. They aren’t particularly friendly either, digital ordering only and they don’t offer QQ so you have to pay for two full price toppings if you want a mix and then end up with no tea! I watched them make it today and they just plonk the boba in and leave it there for ages before adding the tea which explains the constant clumping. £6.35 down the drain.

Went in today after 1pm - shop looked closed no customers. 2 ladies working didn’t even acknowledge customers. I worked out myself to order on the IPAD. Rude as hell if you want to make more money a basic hello would be nice - shameI won’t be coming back again.

It’s unfortunate that majority of the staff in Cha Time like BASIC customer service/people skills. Every encounter I’ve had with different employees has been lack luster to say the least. They pick and choose who’s drink to put effort in making and the Lady serving today sealed the deal for me. The drinks are quite nice but the poor service has driven my family and I away from cha time. Will NOT be spending my money here anymore.

it gets worse every time i come there, i ordered through app and when i got to the shop they told me they swapped out mango pp to lychee pp but i don’t even like lychee, they couldve waited for me to cone to pick it up and then ask. Not to mention they didnt seal the cup properly and everything spilled on me…. never coming back

One of the best bubble tea in town. The iconic/best selling flavours are recommended after having tried other indie bubble tea shops nearby in China Town. Queuing can be up to 10 -15 mins. Be careful with pick pockets while waiting in shop in the evening⛔️

The shops window are so pretty but the inside is a little shabby. I didn't take anything because nothing got me. I hope to get better!

Me and my friend came in for bubbletea, upon getting the order we noticed that my friends phone was taken out of her pocket by another customer in the store, there was only one offer customer in the store at the time and for the full duration of the visit. Her description has been given to the police already. The lady working in the shop gave us an email to contact the head office about security footage information. As a retail manager myself, I understand that CCTV can not be given out due to GDPR, but to get absolutely no response at all from the email was a disgrace to the companies name. The bubbletea itself was only OK. Please actually look at communication from your customers, like every other business does because due to your lack of respect I will never go to this cafe again, or any other Chatime.

A very good place for boba although it's based in an East Asian area, Chinatown, one thing about the Chinese, they don't know manners they give you looks the push in line or get pissed because you're ordering and they are impatient. It's a sickness.

The atmosphere was hectic which made sense as it’s a boba shop in London’s, Chinatown, but the reason that I’m rating this place one star is because of the servers that I encountered had a bratty attitude upon her. She gave rude stares and when I was waiting for my receipt she abruptly told me to “move” in a miserable tone. Another thing to mention was it was rush hour and only two staff members seemed to be working, the other two were in the back having a laugh. The drink wasn’t worth the wait either so for that I wouldn’t recommend coming to this place.

Waited 30 mins for them to make my drink. The staff work so slow its like watching paint dry. They then made my drink wrong and forgot to put sugar and refused to remake it and gave me some sugar instead which i was made to put in by myself and got my hands all sticky…The girl did not even apologise for completely messing up my order either even though I was understanding of the situation.

Visited here yesterday and waited ONE HOUR for 2 drinks. This branch is understaffed (one member of staff with a trail of tickets on the floor during a busy Saturday afternoon in Soho). Hugely disappointed considering this is an international chain and well established branch in Soho. Rather baffling the lack of staff during peak operating hours. 1* for service is reflective of the ridiculous wait- the staff were doing their best to deal with the backlog and apologetic for the wait. Only reason I waited was because of the BT21 merch- won't be returning or recommending until Chatime Management do something for the sake of their staff and customers. Plenty other better choices down the road!

boba good but the service is horrible waited 30 mins for my boba cause there was one barista and it was overcrowded. there was 2 other workers that were on their phones and didn’t care there was such a big line of people waiting for their drink.

Most horrible experience. First, they had run out of everything and then, they gave the order of everybody in arbitrary order, and then, they ran out of green tea in that much time too. And they refused to refund the money and forced me to take black tea instead. Everybody was complaining about them giving order of people who came way after them. Most disgusting

There is a really big menu selection and if you aren't a bubble tea fan there are lots of other options! They only have one small screen to place your order so sometimes there is quite a long wait to place the order but once made, there isn't a particularly long wait for drinks. I've been here a couple of times and ordered the same thing both times and there was a vast difference in the drinks so I guess it depends on who makes them! With this said, the drinks were good both times. I would come here again!

Me and my partner came here and ordered two drinks and we waited over 30 minutes for two drinks. It was very busy and there was only one barista there, so orders were coming at a slow pace. It’s completely understandable, however, another barista who joined in didn’t seem to realise the importance of customers coming. Instead of helping efficiently, they started chatting and laughing, slowing down orders even more. When I asked about my order after waiting 30 minutes, all I got was a simple “it’s coming”. No apology at all, just that phrase in a passive tone. I found that to be extremely rude and disappointing. When we got our drinks, they were okay. I recommend other places definitely though. I do not recommend here.

Worst bubble tea I’ve ever had. Firstly I waited in a queue for 15 minutes to order, and another 25 minutes I waited for my order - the stuff is slow and doesn’t seem to care. Finally I got my bubble tea (which I don’t get that often, only when I really crave it), and I couldn’t even drink it - all the pearls are apparently so old, they got glued together which makes it unreal to make even one sip - it just all gets stuck in a straw…. If you want to ruin your day with the help of a terrible drink - this is the place for you.

Went here yesterday to buy a Bubble Tea (it had become our go to place to get it from) There was a family of 3 hogging the 1 screen provided to make your order from, they were taking ages to decide what they wanted. We asked the member of staff at the til if we could place our order with them only to be told if we were paying by card we had to use the screen to do it (if we'd been paying cash they could have taken our order) we waited a bit longer and said family were still faffing about so we left and went to Happy Lemon instead where the staff were super helpful, took our order straight away and didn't care what our payment method was so this will now be our new go to place. If you do want to go to Chatime and don't want to be hindered by other peoples inability to make a decision / have any awareness of other customers TAKE CASH !!

Coming to chatime many time is so slow service, I try to understand cause it too many people BUT today I visited wait for only one milk tea for 30 minutes+ very disappointed ☹️

Great bubble tea. Lots of flavours. Though there was a long line. Automated order system via an iPad. Nice vibes. I recommend normal pearls as brown sugar ones are very very sweet.

Authentic Chinese food in the heart of the city. Really friendly staff and facilities. The mixed meat and rice combinations can't be found anywhere else in London. Such unusual flavours coming together in a unique way. Reminded me on the food I would have in Hong Kong and China growing up. Really nostalgic feel to the place.

Straw was unusable. I couldn't drink from it. It collapses when you try drink.

Warm milk tea was disappointing. The boba were stuck together in a large clump at the bottom of the cup and were impossible to separate with the paper straw.

I loved their taro bubble tea, it's great.

I tried the peach tea with popping pearls it was nice but the other one which I tried passion fruit with tapioca pearls, I only liked the passion fruit tea as the tapioca pearls were very hard and not chewy at all.

I should’ve had a look at the reviews before queueing in. This is possibly the worst outlet for Chatime, ruining the franchise name. The bubble teas we had were awful, and the service was just poor and slow, making people leave after they'd already wasted half an hour waiting in line. Chinatown has many other good options for having decent bubble tea so steer clear of this place at any cost. It's just not worth it.

Firstly it was crowded and took a long time. I got brown sugar pearl milk tea. The tea was good but the bubbles were little hard.

Should have read the reviews before I go. I added toppings for the tea. They use the paper straws which would not work at all for the toppings. They all stay on the bottom of the cup and I ended up throwing them away after trying for minutes. Totally a waste of money. Milk tea was very watery. One of the worst bubble tea experiences. They should offer a refund if you can't even drink what's in the cup.

I should have read the reviews before going. Worst bubble tea I have ever had. We got taro milk tea with the regular tapioca toppings. The tapioca weren't cooked properly so they had a very hard center and the taro milk tea was very powdery. The powder just would bot dissolve no matter how much we stirred. Also had no taro flavour. Very clearly using the cheapest ingredients possible....This is in no way traditional Taiwanese bubble tea.

The place is located in the China Town district of London and is overcrowded. You have to wait for a simple bubble tea in a little and unclimatized room with many other people like you. It looks that the waitress did not understand my order, refused to admit she made a mistake and refused to add the missing ingredient as 'I had already hold the plastic glass' she said (glass was still unopened when I asked her). It was really not the best Chatime where I came in the world.

I bought a chocolate milk tea and ordered it with strawberry pearls. The cashier did explain how to do the order well but then as I gave him my money, he asks the girl making the orders how to check for counterfeit money out loud in the shop for everyone to hear then the other work comes along to see I guess "the show." Extremely poor customer service and lack of respect for some buying from your establishment. If you felt that you needed to check it, then do a quick check and be done. I was taken aback by the action. THEN after that interaction of paying, he comes to tell me they have no strawberry pearls, they don't have lychee and they only have mango. One should have checked (and it is all right beside him), but they did have the strawberry jelly. That was horrible, I couldn't chew it. I had to keep spitting it out. I gave a two stars for food because the chocolate milk tea tasted nice (but probably other bubble tea places can make it just as good). Not a pleasant experience at all.

I made order via mobile app. 2 drinks with “balls”. They didn’t have any of the balls we paid for on the app. They didn’t have Mango flavour so they had to give me Passion fruit. Terrible. And as a bonus, we got our two little plain drinks later than a few people who made order after us. I definitely ask for my money back. I got absolutely nothing I paid for.

Prepare to queue for over half an hour for bubble tea that's mediocre at best

After a painful 20 minute wait with no queue, they were just laughing and chatting away. Such horrible service, they are usually very fast and I can see that they are busy. This time they were laughing away in the back and had to ask for my drink twice. Just no.

My brother bought me Bubble Tea as a surprise and for the first time I didn't like it. It was with regular sugar but way too sweet for me. I think it's the molasses and the flavor is way too strong. Also the drink was very watery/milky and not rich in flavour.

I recently had the most disappointing experience at this bubble tea shop in Chinatown. I've been a regular customer and always order their milk tea, but today was a complete letdown. The bubble tea they served me was unbelievably watery. It lacked the creamy and flavorful consistency that I had come to expect. When I gave my feedback to the three ladies working there, hoping they would rectify the situation, they barely seemed to care. Their response was utterly dismissive, as if they couldn't be bothered. They simply shrugged it off and told me that's just how it is. I couldn't believe their lack of customer service. Feeling frustrated and unsatisfied, I decided to pour the bubble tea straight into the trash can and walked out. This experience has left me extremely disappointed, and I can confidently say that I will never set foot in that place again. It's disheartening when a once-favorite spot falls so far from its previous standards.

it took so long to get my drink yesterday. also this store is so much more overpriced than the other stores i’ve been too. the jelly in my drink was quite stiff rather than soft which I was very surprised about. won’t be coming to this chatime again

please please please DO NOT get their matcha milk latte!! It tasted like water loaded with a terrible aftertaste, I was so disappointed because their other drinks are usually pretty decent

Meine Freundin und ich haben uns Winter Melon Latte und Winter Melon Lemon Cooler bestellt. Winter Melon Latte war nicht so lecker und hatte kaum Geschmack. Winter Melon Lemon Cooler hat schon besser geschmeckt. Einrichtung war schön.

I am way too generous with the two starsz incredibly slow, I waited more than 20mins when there weren’t many people, bizarre experience, horrible taste. Pls can you hire more people on Sat night!! You might need a more efficient way to make drinks or hire more staff. One barista is not enough

This place used to have lines but I can understand why they didn’t have customers. The service wasn’t bad but the place looked rundown. When I received my drink, the pearls were clumped up and I barely had any pearls

Waited in a queue for 15 mins because there was only one barista serving and taking orders all by himself. He was still friendly and trying his best. Amazing quality. Would recommend.

Went into Chatime around 22:00 to order Brown Sugar fresh milk however there were barely any brown sugar sauce and the tapioca pearls were 60% full. This meant that there were barely any milk. Also, the tapioca pearls were all stuck together like a one big squished ball therefore I wasn't able to drink them out. Overall really not good for a drink that costs £4.90.

There's always a cue and it is almost always busy, the reason being because it is one of the best around the area... I go there frequently. When around go there and grab a tea, I love it and recommend it.

Conveniently located Chatime branch in the middle of Chinatown. It has the standard selection although I have to say that, over the years, competitors have crept in and there are places that make better milk tea. That is not to say that the reader won't find something they like here. Do give it a try as the menu is varied and there is lots on offer. Beware of long queues at times. There must be a better way to serve customers faster...

The bubble tea is good and there is an infinite amount of options to choose from. You can create the bubble tea to your taste. However the wait in line is long... We may have waiting 30-45mins in line to place our order.

The taro milk tea was GROSS. It tasted like stale cereal. Absolutely inedible. I had to throw my £7.50 drink away. They also charge 80p extra for tapioca pearls. Service was also incredibly slow. I ordered 1 drink and there was 1 order with 4 drinks in front of me. I waited about 10 minutes in line and another 15-20 for the drink. Very, very disappointed

The shop became so busy with about 15 people. Was waiting for about 15 minutes for 1 drink with only 4 drinks infront of me. Only one guy actually making the drinks whilst another girl was on the cash desk and another simply walked up and down the Center of the kitchen area going on her phone and exclaiming to the other works «  you have tried a cherry drop ». Very average tea.
