Gourmet 4 Liverpool Bromborough in Wirral

We both ordered the burger meals one a build your own and the other their Cheese Burger. Patties were very tasty and sauce was akin to a McDonald's "secret burger sauce" but it was delicious nonetheless. Fries that came with the meal however were a tad overcooked and I couldn't finish them. Their Habenero cheese bites were not enjoyed, fried outer crumb with a very thick cream cheese inner which just were odd in texture and lacked flavour sadly. In addition, the music being played in the restaurant felt like I was more in a night club not somewhere I came to eat food. Granted its not luxury or a "premier marque" eatery I didn't feel it was appropriate and was unexpected.

They advertise two drink sizes 16oz and 22oz. 16oz is 450 ml and 22oz is 650ml. We ordered a 22oz Fanta and a 22oz Diet Coke. They were not 22oz. At most 450 but more like 350! We were charged for the 22oz. Not on. Drinks were flat and very watered down - especially the Fanta. I ordered whole chicken to be told they only had half chickens. I said that was fine but was left wondering why they couldn’t give me two halves. It seemed so obvious that I thought there must have been a reason why they couldn’t do that. The half chicken was actually quite big and very flavoursome and I did enjoy it. Which I should for £10 with no sides. I ordered a side salad as well which was nice and came with loads of delicious Caesar dressing which luckily came on the side. My son ordered pork nachos and chilli fries (quite big portions). He enjoyed both and we both enjoyed our food but agreed it wasn’t ‘going out for tea’ food. £29 for both of us which was reasonable however false advertising with the drinks left a sour taste in my mouth. Sort out the drinks…. Size, flavour and fizz and this would easy be a 3 or 4 out of 5. Understaffed. The two girls did their best but if it were busy (which it wasn’t) the wait would have been unbearable.

Me and my colleague visited last week for a quick bite to eat. We parked up and checked their website there was a date night deal a free dessert with main meal, we where sold by this. On entering the restaurant there was no one to greet us so we picked our table as it was empty. A member of staff brought us menu and explained that we order via the QR code on the table, whilst ordering we could see the offer so I asked the member of staff and was told that the website had only put it on that day and the offer was not live to the following week. Told my colleague and thought we would give it a try, ordering food and drink via the website was quick and easy with no problem. Our drink came was Fanta and Diet Coke, the Fanta was so pale and you can tell it tasted like a splash of orange squash with lemonade, the Diet Coke was very flat even though it had a bit of a fizz. Then the food came and both looks it was nice to eat, but once you bite in the beef burrito there was hardly any rice, the beef where little dry strips of beef the menu stated that it should have lettuce, cheese, salsa, sour cream and guacamole but I had non of this apart from the cheese sauce which I paid extra. My colleague had the stack burger which it was nice for them had no problem with it, but the following day they told me that once they got home they could stop vomiting and diarrhoea throughout that following morning, didn’t start to feel better till few days later. There was hardly any customer service, even though we where the only customers in there. Overall we won’t be returning again.

Nothing positive to say - had to wait 35+ minutes for a pile of overpriced rubbish. As a business they are focusing on delivery and takeaway. The tables were sticky and food was below average.

Awful cheap food at an expensive price. Butgers tasteless and loaded with fat, reminded me of a rubbish kebab shop style burger. Chips were something like asda smart price fries in oil. Presentation was shocking. Go somewhere else.

Few tables when we arrived 22-09-21 at Gourmet 4 in Bromborough, placed still looked same as previous occupants Pizza Hut, Food was OK and came out in a speedy manner. The criticism is for one of the Waitress, only 2 on the night, the tall one, took our drinks order and took 15 mins before they arrived, didn't seem very knowledgeable about the menu, could have explained or suggested compliment with the mains, as we never visited before. and she didn't know how to take our order properly and came across quite rude. We tried to avoid her coming back to our table and kept asking the other waitress the little short one for extra drinks and so on. Food prices are reasonable

This place has potential, but the atmosphere is not very personal. Ordering is easy through the App, but it means there’s not much interaction with staff members- they literally serve you then you don’t see them again unless you call for attention. I ordered a bottomless drink but it was hardly worth it as it was difficult to get someone’s attention to refill. Most of the food was ok. We ordered from the Mexican menu mostly. Tacos were good, jalapeño poppers were fine. I was asked if I wanted any sauces, I asked for either salsa or sour cream, but the waitress came back with a pot of some kind of hot sauce saying they didn’t have sour cream (yet the Tacos we ordered were full of sour cream!) We ordered loaded chicken fries, the chicken was so dry it was inedible. Told the waiter when he collected our dishes. He didn’t care! He just walked off with the plates and we didn’t see him again. There were colouring books and crayons for children, but it’s a shared colouring book so some of the pages were coloured from previous children. They weren’t offered to us, we had to ask. Limited options for desserts (3 options), but we didn’t have much room for dessert anyway! If the customer service improved then I feel my review wouldn’t be as negative. Hopefully just teething problems and it will improve with time.

Restaurant is empty and after visiting I understand why. The food was absolutely awful, the chips tasted like they had been soaking in fat for days. The chicken was tougher than an old welly. One of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. Will not be going back and I would advise anyone thinking about visiting to go elsewhere.
