Gosfield Shopping Village in Braintree

I have been wanting to go here for such a long time. Today I got to go to this brilliant place. Lots of wonderful homemade crafts and beautiful antiques. Also yummy cakes in the cafe. I love that it's vegetarian and still has a very big menu. Looking forward to coming again.

We went here Sunday for the bootsale & visted the antique centre, we’ve come out with two beautiful pieces of furniture! They couldn’t have been more helpful & even helped arrange delivery! Thank you so much - will be back soon I’m sure for more amazing pieces!

Friendly staff, interesting stock!

Went to car show today and was turned away and told to drive round and comeback in 10 minutes as they were full even though there were spaces in carpark I had not driven very far but some had and we're less than impressed

My new favourite place. Really lovely cafe with an excellent veggie menu (I am fussy but there was a wide range of options that I would’ve liked). Part of the indoor antiques market is set up to look like a street of houses, which was fun to look around. Also: goats and chickens. Will be visiting again and again.

Arrived just after closing in the pouring rain. As i knew what i wanted a lovely staff member (didnt catch his name) opened the village back up so we could purchase what we were looking for. Have been coming for years and it is such a lovely community. Would definately recommend a visit 👍

A treasure trove of items both old and new. You can spend hours here just browsing the area. Don't forget to save time for coffee and cake

Lovely place. Many beautiful pieces. Note- closes at 4pm on a Sunday.

Some traders are somewhat ambitious with their prices, but others are quite realistic.

Fascinating antiques businesses and a lovely vegetarian cafe/tea room. Nice little outside area with outdoor games for children.

Formerly known as Gosfield Antiques centre, its now under new management with an expanded main room to display items for sale in the main building and the usual cabinet room for more curios, collectibles and bargains. I always find a little something on my visits here, and today was no exception. The staff are friendly and polite and the new manager /owner wasn't afraid to help out in the cafe on a busy Easter Monday. There's a petting zoo and pond behind the cafe also. For festive decorations one vendor even had huge Gnomes to buy (my umbrella next to it for scale). I will continue to visit this Essex gem. 😀

First time visiting today and we had a fantastic day! We didn't really know what to expect, but were lured in by the Christmas event. Plenty of shops to visit selling a variety of items. Everyone we met was so friendly and the staff were helpful and really made us feel welcome. The tearoom is a must visit - absolutely delicious food and a great atmosphere. We'll be back again soon!

Really worth a visit lots of items for all tastes. Lovely cafe with all vegetarian food at reasonable prices worth the trip for the cafe alone.

I really enjoy walking around all the little shops looking at all the antiques. The fact that there is a lovely tea room there is an absolute bonus!! The cabinet room is great to peruse at leisure- or you might miss the treasures! An enjoyable place to be if you like your antiques- whether buying or just looking. Would recommend.

Spent over an hour and a half here as so many antiques and curios to view and enjoy, all for sale and no stupid prices

Curios galore, many dealers trading from this complex, with added attraction of a cafe serving the usual beverages and food. Try it ,you shouldn't be disappointed. Peace and quiet.

Wonderful treasures to be found

I don't live near by, but visit often, and it's always worthwhile.

Some of the cabinets are a little bare which is to be expected after the restrictions of Covid lockdown. Plus the dining facility has disappeared. None the less, I purchased a couple of quality silver items.

Lots of little antique shops with a wide range of items, well worth a rummage! Topped off with a fantastic second hand tack shop with a huge selection, and a great little farm shop. Staffed by really friendly people.

One of a kind, could spend hours walking round in there. A lovely way to spend time on the weekend :)

Exactly how I expected lots and lots of curio's and collectibles, could have stayed there for hours reasonably priced to...

Always a good selection of items to find here. Farm shop with animal foods and fresh vegetables. Lots of different collectables, nice furniture, clothing, records and beer. In fact, just go to see what you can find. Everytime, something different appears. Very happy, friendly staff to help you out if you want something in particular. Away from the maddening crowd and off the beaten track. Enjoy the experience.

Run by very friendly people lots of interesting things for sale. Stock always changing. Well worth a visit.

So many things to see. An eclectic mix of antiques and memorabilia. So nice to be able to walk around this excellent venue. They have removed the small tea room which now sells furniture and other homewares. Expect to spend an hour or two to see all. Wrap up warm on a cold day thou!

Its an interesting place to look and buy things that people have collected and now want to sell. I have a display there myself, I am selling my collection of model buses as I don' t display them any more in the house.

Divers antiques one of my favourite vintage and antique shops

I'd wanted to visit here for a long time and, when I finally made it, I wasn't disappointed. Due to my physical limitations I couldn't spend as long as I would have liked but a "normal" person could spend hours there. They have a really sweet cafe and so many antiques & collectables, at reasonable prices, that you'd be hard pressed not to find something you love.

Interesting items. Lots to see, even a piano to play. Records, cds, antiques - small and large items etc. to buy. Lovely cafe, and a sweet shop! All in little shops on ground floor! Very easy for wheelchairs etc.

Since new ownership saddlers is now called The Little Goose Tea Room and such an impressive addition. Visited little goose tea room on route back from holiday with family and friends, 7 of us in total we were very warmly welcomed and they quickly accomodated us all. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food which was definately needed after a long journey. This was our 3rd visit to the little goose and the staff, service and food was impeccable. Certainly encourage anyone to visit. Thankyou all at the little goose, see you next time. Ps The homemade LARGE sausage rolls are amazing.

Great place for some Antique shopping, really helpful staff and a phenomenal second hand tack shop. Cafe wasn't open as some work being carried out. Highly recommended a visit.

No heating; cafe was closed on a Bank Holiday weekend; very few dealers to help look at stuff; items inaccurately labelled. How NOT to do an antiques centre

Located down a country lane, just off the A131 Braintree to Halstead road. Big signs at each end of the lane. CO91PU in your satnav takes you to the front entrance. Lots of antiques and collectables in shops and 100+ cabinets. Styles to suit all tastes and prices to suit all pockets. Farm shop, animal feed barn and tack shop. Flat easy parking, toilets and small cafe. Dogs should be kept on a lead, nearby public footpath for a nice walk. Can be a tad chilly on colder days, as it's in old farm buildings.

Had a brief visit, some very interesting little shops encompassed in a barn setting, ideal if you like hunting down an interesting antique piece. Food and drink also available, and animal food etc. Small cafe on site.

Interesting and eclectic place to visit as there are different little craft shops and a small art gallery but the place I found most interesting was the cabinet room where people can rent an attractive glass cabinet to sell there own items. There are interesting collections that people have obviously collected over years and items that people want to sell ( perhaps they are downsizing). It is easy to spend an hour browsing the cabinets. Then there is a very nice and friendly cafe to complete the visit. The whole is set in a rural environment.

We decided to take a drive out today with elderly parents, to Gosfield Shopping Village, we looked around a good variety of antiques, a lovely selection of memories in cabinets. We then decided to try the tea room, where we were warmly welcomed by a charming lady, that offered a good selection of food and drinks at a very reasonable price. The BLT was to die for as was the cake we had too. We defiantly be back !Well done to all and the Shopping Village.

Cold and bleak with very few real antiques and non existent staff. The 'open 7 days a week' cafe was closed. The farm shop was a huge tented area selling animal feed. Dark and unmanned. Will not be returning. Depressing place.

I have been visiting the tea rooms since Sue took over last year and my family and I love the cake choices and great selection. Friendly and very welcoming this tea room is a must if you find yourself in Gosfield

Went to visit the shopping village and have a cup of tea and a coffee .The shopping village is very quaint and full of everything antique (and other things too .it was lovely .This is our review on the tea rooms..Oh my goodness came across this tearoom (it is more than a tea room ) ...by accident on Tuesday the 22nd of January. What a lovely friendly environment not ONLY THAT AMAZINGLY they had home mafe GLUTEN FREE chocolate slice which they warmed it was really really delicious and oh my goodness I wished I had bought an extra bit home. it was so lovely to walk into place that they care for their customers needs .I nearly didn't ask for cake because it is so unusual to get gluten free cakes at the best of times but my goodness it was not only the the other customers had lunch and Wow it looked gorgeous. Friendly staff and owner she herself served us and so lovely .thank you do much we shall be back again hopefully soon .we live in central Bedfordshire so will take a trip out especially. ..first checking if you have any of the chocolate slice ....X x.and then a little later (after walking round the little village) we will have some lunch there as well .Thank you for making us feel very welcome x x

Very good for antiques but wrap up warm as there is no heating in the antique section the food there was good had a prawn jacket very nice friendly staff too.

A collection of small outlets with a variety of collectable so, antiques and quite a bit of junk.OK for a couple of hours browsing,you may find something you want.

Lovely ..different...old England .. The record shop has many varied Cds, and vinyl records at low cost ..open weekends...often pop in for a look see in the many antique shops , with a pleasant cafe too .
