Best Chinese food in kirriemuir.

First time back since the remodel, rebrand and new menu, and was excellent. We had the wings, ribs and corn ribs as starters, all very good. The garlic chicken rice was wow! The peanut udon noodles were amazing, and the deconstructed katsui chicken was also totally scoffed. Looking forward to trying more dishes soon. Used the App, would have been nice to have some kind of feedback on the order as all I knew was I had paid for it, but no order number or meal history or anything but sure that can be tweaked. We travel 30 mins for the best chinese in Angus, would definitely recommend 👌

Chef Dan and his team prepared our large order for the office Christmas party. It was exceptional as it always is. We as a family often order from the Golden Palace and the food is always bang on! I had suggested to my manager to try the Golden Palace for the office party and everyone enjoyed the food. You are given a time slot when ordering on the app, and despite this being a huge order, all was ready on time and piping hot. I simply can’t recommend the Golden Palace enough.

I had a chicken and mushroom curry from the Golden Palace last night. The curry sauce was dark, like mud, mouthfeel was powdery, bland. £11.50 I could have had a Birdseye boil-in-the-bag for £2.50 and enjoyed it more.

Absolute gem of a find while holidaying in the area. Food was excellent quality and really tasty. The kitchen area is visible and is very clean and tidy.

Never had a bad meal, food and service is outstanding.

Amazing local Chinese takeaway, the food from here tends to be on the money, the Honey garlic chicken is the talk of the town and is highly recommended, the honey sriracha is also brilliant most of the noodle dishes are good and the app makes things easy to order although delivery is not an option. The monthly specials can be a hit or a miss with the gourmet prawn crackers being at the lower end of the quality ladder this month consistency can sometimes be a problem depending on how busy the evening is.

Recently moved into the area and tried the Golden Place tonight. Really quality good food, especially the large spring rolls. Will definitely be ordering again.

I have tried many chinese takeaways, like at least 30 different takeaways and in many UK cities and this is 100% the best Chinese takeaway I've had. Every time I'm home seeing family I order and it's just bang on, I can't resist it. I love super spicy food, and when I ask for it to be xxxxxtra spicy and most takeaways don't give me what I need but Golden Palace definitely delivered on my preference for spice whilst still having the fresh, authentic flavour. Order from here and no other Chinese takeaway will ever match it.. You've been warned Edit: still a bunch of heros, that stuff is crazy hot! Bang on 💪🌶️

Truly the BEST takeaway food I've ever had. In fact getting served this in a sit in restaurant would be a brilliant experience too. Not the cheapest but great value portions, great choice of traditional and innovative dishes, plus always ready on time and friendly staff. An amazing find when on holiday - wish I lived nearer! Order placed online, simple, easy and effective. There is a huge selection of meals from starters to mains and sides. Pick up within half hour when I ordered but a time slot is given so no waiting, just arrive and pick up. Food ordered was really delicious and of a decent quantity, not hungry after, we even had some left over for a small lunch next day. I can recommend this place for quality food at a reasonable price.

Friday night takeaway. The place was going like a fair which is a good sign. I would recommend phoning in advance. Menu is online. Typical Scottish Cantonese food options but a bit more adventurous. Food is cooked fresh and open kitchen gives you piece of mind that hygiene is perfect. Service is polite and friendly. Overall, delicious food. Highly recommended and definitely best in the local area.

This was honestly one of the best chinease meals I have ever had. My parter and I were in the area visiting and decided on a takeaway. One bite of the chilly chips and were were gobsmacked. Next the special chow mein was out of this world. My mrs had one of the best meals she has ever had period and frankly I have to agree. Can't wait till the next time we are up to get another meal.

Decided to go off route and try golden Palace. Sadly was left dissapointed. Food was ok but nothing wow. Also thought it was very expensive. I appreciate things are going up however. Can't see me being back.

Best Chinese in the area. Food is always hot when we get home to Finavon and everything tastes great.

I tried the golden Palace last night for the first time, my only complaints were unfortunately the egg fried rice has to come with a sauce, I thought this would come separately when I ordered online however it does not and It ruined my egg fried rice. Don't get me wrong the rest of the food was tasty but if your order the egg fried rice request sauce separately as I didn't even eat the rice. Luckily i order chips and egg fried rice for my daughter and this was as expected with no sauce so i had some of that, I also ordered the apetizer box with mini samosa and spring rolls and unfortunately they were bought in so not really expected for the price you pay!!! None the less I will return here again because like I say it was tasty, the noodles and crispy beef were very good 👍

Large portions and good food altogether. Nothing special but in order to fill your Chinese needs they are quick, effective and tasty.

Staying near Kirremuir and decided we fancied a Chinese takeaway - Found Golden Palace and read the reviews - Well - if it wasn't 517 miles from my house I'd be here every week - Used the App which worked brilliantly and the food was to die for - 6 of us age so much food and loved every dish - honey soy crispy beef was amazing as were the peanut noodles but every dish was superb and every one of us ate like royalty - Wish we had The Golden Palace in East Sussex - Cheers

I haven't ordered from here yet. But I stopped by to look at what you as available to order and it's is fantastic. The best Chinese in Kerriemuir to be honest. Looking forward to trying it on my next visit up.

Disappointing meal tonight 😪😪😪 I requested a reduced amount of soya sauce in my fried rice and that is not what I got. I am also confused as to why the chicken in my curry was finely sliced instead of chunks and was very bland Not your usual standard 😪😪😪😪😪

Had a great meal from here last night to celebrate my father's 80th birthday, food was fantastic, well above the "normal" Chinese. Black pudding spring rolls were a big hit !

Just had the crispy beef ribs with honey and chilli, they are fantastic, the right amount of chilli heat (spicy) food here is always great

Really nice food, prices are reasonable too. Staff are friendly. Like how you can phone in your orders for easier collection. Especially just now with the covid restrictions

Amazing vegan options (tofu ribs/skewers, tofu toast) and options a bit different to the run of the mill (bao buns, pineapple & coconut rice). Highly recommended!

we had a chinese from this Place other day & was disappointing chips are Ok but bit dry chow mein is watery Curry with rice was mushy Katsu isn’t great my mum was annoyed it cost her £30 all together for food that looks horrible wouldn’t recommend to anybody sorry 👎🤢

Having read previous reviews I was sceptical to try. We are on holiday here so no local knowledge of what’s good food in area. Our food was amazing. Best Chinese take away I’ve ever had. All fresh and beautifully cooked. I have eaten a lot of Chinese food on my travels including Soho in London and this meal was up there. Not sure if this place is now under new ownership?? I highly recommend.

The worst Chinese I have ever had. The salt and pepper chicken wings were edible but the rest of the meal tasted awful. Was just salty and gloopy.

Just ordered crispy chicken in lemon sauce with boiled rice plus chicken sweet and sour with fried rice. Nothing crispy about the chicken soggy batter plus my husbands fried rice was brown as too much soya sauce. Chicken is now in the dog.

The great thing about this Chinese Takeaway is you can watch them cook the food. It's all very open and frankly somewhat reassuring to receive freshly prepared dishes you have watched being nade.

What a fantastic chinese take away! Excellent service, family run. Very professional. Tried one of their specials, simple gorgeous. Party of 4, tried different meals. All hot and tasty, and great value. Will visit again.

So. First of all we went to the Tin On for our takeaway but looking at their menu we thought is was quite limited (no salt and spicy chicken wings for a start) so decided to check out the Golden Palace. A far better menu! We had salt and spicy chicken wings and also the Hoisin ones they advertised on the counter as an after thought. Glad we did. They were delicious. Spring roll too. Very nice. For main course chicken and black bean and a beef with fresh chilli. Both were again delicious. The sauce with the beef dish was to die for. Lastly they gave us thin prawn crackers. It's always a disappointment when the prawn crackers are those thick ones instead of the thin ones that just melt in the mouth. So glad we headed back out of town. (Shame they don't do crispy seaweed).
