Ordered a takeout here as haven’t been in ages as we had a bad experience last time but thought we’d give it another try absolutely vile and disgusting will definitely not be back the place had just opened and our chips looked and tasted like they were the nights before we ordered black bean chicken as I can only describe as tasteless watery gloop disgusting also sweet and sour which was absolutely stone cold the rice had big hard stuck together mush balls awful over £30 we spent the lot went in the bin BE AWARE DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! Waste of money there’s better Chineses down the street only wish I had of done that awful place

Beef is disgusting, you know it's bad when your dogs won't even eat it. Vile Have had some nice chicken dishes here before but this was shocking, won't be rushing back, rice hard to..

i once called in for delivery but they never answered, and then when i went in, the staff were rude and called me a bit fat. Absolutey terrible service, and dont even get me started on the food, whem i bought it, it was piping hot, and then when i drove home it was cold. Definitely recommend other chinese chains.

Golden Golden was the best Chinese restaurant in lisburn I'm not happy that they don't open the restaurant its a shame to lisburn no Chinese restaurant lisburn needs one

Reliably great food - been using here for years

They are no longer a restaurant and will not take card anymore. There are no prices on their wall menu and portion sizes are small. Still though, good EuroChinese food and swift service.

I had honey chilli chicken with rice and chips last night, and while it tasted okay at the time, afterward I had mild food poisoning. Disappointing as the food from here is usually good. Won’t be going back.

Staff who answer phone to orders are cheeky probably need to sort them out before you loose business

Got a mixed meat curry the meat was absolutely disgusting chicken was like rubber the beef did didint taste like beef there was other meat that was slimy this place needs inspected absolutely vile

You always need a good local Chinese restaurant and takeaway, and this one is the best in Lisburn. It’s food has given us many great Friday night takeaways and hangover recovery Sundays. The food is tasty, the service and delivery is quick. Brilliant place!

Very disappointed. I've been a customer for many years without any problems. The meal was rather expensive & not great. Standards have definitely declined. Also no longer can the customer pay by card, CASH ONLY. Why? Is this for tax purposes? I'm afraid it's time for a new Chinese takeaway. Sorry.

I ordered 9 meals to be delivered 6pm on Monday. At exactly 6pm the meal was delivered. The food was brilliant and very much enjoyed. One extra person arrived and there was plenty for everyone. Well done to the staff in Golden Garden. I will definitely order in this Chinese takeaway again.👍

The last few times we have used this Chinese the food has not been as good as it used to be. The Chinese ribs are overdone and tough and the meat in the chow mein was very dry with overcooked noodles.

Just had a lovely diner delivered by this local Chinese, each dish tasted wonderful and importantly as described on the menu! I challenge all to find a better Chinese in the lisburn area.

Has this been tkn over..used to luv their food..was closed for few weeks just got chicken black bean sauce n cudnt eat it..texture of rice was horrible. Chicken was tough like road kill..black bean sauce was like gravy u wud put on ur spuds..was £7:80 few weeks ago..now £9:40..not be back unfortunately..pity cause I luved their food

By far the BEST Chinese food in the region! I have travelled from Dollingstown passing 8 Chinese Takeaways to go to The Golden Garden for a guaranteed beautiful meal. Linda, Helena & the others giving friendly helpful service with Big Ryan providing local speedy delivery. Great Grub!

Great Chinese restaurant in Lisburn. We get a takeaway from here quite a lot, probably too often lol, but the food is always great. Have never had a bad meal from here. The staff are friendly too and service is quick. Food always ready when we collect and it is still hot by the time it gets home, packed well. Probably the best Chinese around in the area.

Visited here for takeaway. The food was just okay, nothing special. Nothing to differentiate it from any other local Chinese restaurants. But I'd specifically like to point out the general unfriendliness of the lady behind the counter. She will ensure we do not go back.

Use golden garden regularly. Family get together Saturday night. Ordered 10 meals. All meals beautiful. Haven't been let down on quality of the food.

It's been absolutely amazing anytime I've been in. Foods always lovely, the staff are always lovely too. A bit dearer but worth every penny.

Good people of Lisburn, give yourselves a treat and order your favorite dish from THE GOLDEN GARDEN Longstone. Sunday night I ordered Salt n chilli Ribs and Beef Green Pepper in Black Bean with a little bit of fresh chilli cooked in with fried rice. BEAUTIFUL, DELICIOUS, FANTASTIC food. Fresh, warm beautifully prepared and cooked to perfection. Forget all other eateries and their false reviews. GOLDEN GARDEN is the REAL DEAL Thank you Linda and the team, well done.

Honestly the best Chinese IV ever had. Not only is there food amazing Linda ( sorry if spelt wrong) is the most please t and amazing person who has taken my order. Beautiful food portions are too large (not often we say this)

Used to be my favourite takeaway in Lisburn but the chicken peking is like eating hard stale bread. Not enjoyable anymore. Gave it a by ball a couple of times, but third time is probably the last now :(

My wife ordered from this Takeaway but the quality has gone down massively will not order anymore because not quality of food all all plus staff not friendly over phone 📞 .

Forgot my fried rice soni rang the person taking orders ask "did I really need it" well yes obviously. Then said my driver has to go the other direction so I can I owe you?! Well no because I won't order from here again chicken balls are hard as a rock as well.

The food has always been so good when we've got something from here, the satay chicken is amazing!

Sat on Saturday after I phoned an order Told on phone come down about 25 mins to collect Went to store after the 25min sat and waited an addional 40 mins in store on my order...

Favourite Chinese in Lisburn! Food is delicious and the portion sizes are big!

Don’t like the salty food especially on a bland taste curry sauce mixed , it even made it worse honestly the quantity was no bad , but tasteless ! Keep away just not my cup tea sorry wouldn’t be ordering anymore as many decent Chinese around But never 👎 this one again wasting on money .

There is no sitting in at the moment,but the carry out is great, phone your order in and then pick it up or you can have it delivered great service very friendly staff.

Lovely food and rude staff! Lady on the phone who took order was very rude, abrupt and not listening to calls explanations. Trying to come to an arrangement for payment as family are self isolating, staff member was rude outlying that she could not understand how regular customers are not aware of this by now. Not happy with service, manners are free!!!

Very nice. Had salted chilli chicken, no complaints. Big portions, worth the money. Only thing was I ordered and said it would be 30 minutes, ended up waiting another 15 minutes but that's normal seeing it was a weekend.

Sorry to say I've no picture of my food i was so hungry I ate the lot in 10 minutes flat. Wasn't anything exciting just a kids sausage an chips with gravy but it went down a treat.. I've akways enjoy there food.

I'm from Cookstown, and have ate in this Chinese since I was a child (mid 30s now). Any time I pass through Lisburn this is a must go. Their 2 person set meal is hands down the best chinese in the province, and I've ate in a lot of Chinese restaurants! Great staff, great value, great food.

Hit and miss for me. One takeaway session was phenomenal and the other average. Great noodles are a constant.

We were having a family event last night and had arranged with Golden Garden to preorder the choices a day in advance. The delivery came on time and everyone said how lovely the food was. We would definitely use Golden Garden again for family events as it took all the stress out of catering for us.

Very poor attitude after phoning for a home delivery, unable to take credit card payment over the phone, get with the times. Would not recommend a phone order.

Always good food but wasn’t impressed when the collection is late, I’m waiting in the rain and the staff come outside to hand everyone their food. The Perspex is pointless, just call people’s names out.

So glad Golden Garden is back open - even though they are so busy cos of lockdown delivery/collection only ...the food was still bang on quality! Never had a bad meal from there, ever!

The staff here are so friendly and chatty while you wait for the meal, so it doesnt seem long. The food is piping hot and it wasnt till i got home i realised that the take away dishes are deeper than most and were still packed to capacity. The food was also lovely and very well done!!!

Grabbed a take out from here and it was absolutely lovely. I had chicken in spring mushrooms while the girlfriend had salted chilli chicken, they were both really nice and the prawn crackers were the best I've had in a long long time, I highly recommend this restaurant for either sit in or take out.

Been a while since I was here. It has new owners but same staff.And redecorated.The 13stg special was well priced.I choose chicken and sweet corn soup for starter.Then beef curry with boiled rice and asked for mushroom with it.The soup was big and fine.Like wise a big portion of curry was also fine.And I asked also for a coffee extra.Now overall it was fine. But did lack any wow factor.The lady serving is pleasant and I will go back.

Just had my first takeaway from Golden Garden after a friend recommended. All dishes were very enjoyable. The photos on the website don’t do them justice. All delicious. I got the beef in black bean with green peppers and asked for fresh chilli to be added which was happily provided. Beef was great. Lovely nice big pieces which were tender. The Others had veg chow mein, lemon chx, chx fried rice and honey chilli chx - all very tasty. Big portions so loads left over for tomorrow! Complimentary bottle of coke and prawn crackers. Will definitely be back.

take out in past has been consistent and good Recently food watery and very bland, chips taste cooked n dirty oil- not nice at all. Will be looking for new take out from now on. When you look forward to a weekend treat that lets face it, is not cheap eats anymore, very disappointing to have to throw in bin.

Best Chinese in Lisburn. Sit in or takeaway you are spoilt for choice and quality. Staff are lovely and the food is brilliant. Portion sizes are massive and always get some free prawn crackers thrown in.

We found this place by accident while looking for somewhere to eat. The restaurant is small and cozy, staff are friendly and welcoming. We went for the weekday special, starter and main for a set price. The meal was ready quickly and was piping hot and delicious, I would certainly come here again!.

I have been going to Golden Garden for over 10 years now. Never had a bad meal. All the staff are helpful and kind. Menu is varied. Love the aromatic duck yum

Good food..waited forever for deep fried Ice-cream.. waitress told us it not be long, so we ordered another drink.. fifteen minutes later she said they to buzy and can't do our desert.. didn't even knock anything of our bill..,🤔

Clean, friendly restaurant. Good food, a little on the more expensive side but good quality food. Great choice on the menu, sit in, take away or delivery available. Special sit in menu available Sunday to Friday 5pm to 9pm is two courses for £12.50 which is great value. It is a limited menu for the sit in special but still enough variety to give a number of choices. Only negative is can be cold in winter and lacks atmosphere.

Not sure what Golden Garden have done to their beef over the last year, guessing a new meat supplier? Beef is tough and gristly, and to boot they've raised their prices over the last year again! Have gave it a few tries but this definately isn't a one off. Used to be one of my favourite chinese restaurants but when you're paying 50% more than anywhere else in Lisburn, for a poor quality product, I can't see myself going back again.

Have been here on a few occasions and have always had a nice meal so called in again this evening with my husband. Great service and food as always.

The quality and large portion size of the food here was second to none. It is not posh but has recently been refurbished and is a nice place to eat. It was very busy but the food was served quite quickly and was piping hot. The staff were friendly and helpful. It also does take away food.
