Brought ice cream in their very expensive and hardly open closes early for summer, need todo better snacks foods ie hot dogs burgers pizza etc

Considering it's the kids holidays and a "community" venture, it's hardly open and the offer and service is terrible. Perhaps pass it on to someone with some enthusiasm and drive to make it a true community hub

Friendly staff, great banter and freshly made coffee.

I’d say check website or Facebook for openings. Google isn’t reliable for timings. We were there today July 3rd Monday. says 11am-2pm but it was closed.

It's a great place to hang out, I love their coffee and the mochas are just delicious.

Really great place to go for a basic menu but lovely staff and thoughtful touches like a community larder and children's play space.

We had a couple of cups of coffee from GO4 Cafe. The staff we met were absolutely lovely and we’ll make sure that when we go to the park, we’ll be buying another coffee (especially on these cold wintery days!)

Recently went to this cafe and ordered a mr whippy ice cream. I was served by a lady who was licking the ice cream as she was filling it in the cone and then went to give it to me! She didn't see a problem with this. Luckily another member of staff who was on break at the time came and sorted another one but there is a clear lack of hygiene as she used her teeth to open up the ice cream mix.

Nice place for coffee and cake, we were too early for lunch.

Did click and collect to pick up recycling bags from here as it said they were open until 4pm Saturday and Sunday and both days they were shut after I walked there in the rain.

Great place for tasting Hong Kong style hot bun, dumpling and milk tea, only available on every Tue, Wed & Fri, must try!

We visit Colchester twice a year as this park l played in as a child, at every gate entrance it said the cafe open at 11.00 but on the door it said 1200 so we went back at just after 1200 and it was still closed. Please set a true opening times

Great place just a tip if you are going there to pick up a parcel phone first to avoid disappointment as not always open.

Lovely little cafe, the owners are very friendly and keen community enthusiasts. We usually pop in for a coffee after Junior Parkrun.

Lovely little community cafe with delicious ice cream. Nice outdoor seating area too. Sited inside Old Heath Recreation Ground, so no bother with passing cars. Delicious dumplings on for brunch/lunch when I visited most recently.

Great oat milk latte, so nice to have somewhere local that serves alternate milk.

Not a lot of choice but very friendly staff and nice area

For an organisation that employs adults with additional needs (which is excellent) I think the (neurotypical) staff could do with a little training to allow them to empathise and therefore interact and assist when dealing with customers that have additional needs...

Noisy, no respect for customers experience and very greasy food. The owners or managers had, I assume, their family in, who had little to no respect for the fact that this was a cafe. Whilst one gentleman took a call on loud speaker, meaning all we could hear was him talking in a foreign language and disregarding our presence, the others let their children open and close the front door and use their scooter around the inside of the cafe. The meal was cheap but unfortunately not good enough for me to endure this type of environment again. Such a shame.

Best food always fresh, best price, always clean and tidy, always friendly helpful professional staff ready to help and smiling, my child loves this place, you may feel like special guest ! Highly recommended place

We popped in the cafe whilst on our little family random walk round the area, got some drinks and cupcakes (but did also have a nose at the sandwiches whilst there!) All reasonably priced and in ideal location on a hot day tonpick up drinks and ice creams!

Clean simple no frills park cafe with reasonable prices. Friendly staff, Pepi advised us to get one of her fresh fruit smoothies which went down a treat.

Friendly service. Good for cakes, snacks, ice creams or a full English. Reasonably priced. Plenty of outdoor seating in the summer.

Nice little cafe in the park..reasonably priced food/drinks.

Staffed by unemployed volunteers gaining valuable work and life experiences. GO4 are a social enterprise and are doing great work, they used to run the cafe in trinity street church. I only get coffee and ice-cream here. The coffee is OK.

We've come here for breakfast a couple times now. The prices are really reasonable and the cafe is clean, and the staff are lovely. They are really dog and family friendly! We ended up waiting a while because the size of our group both times but appreciate the effort of the staff, great cafe in a great park.
