Had lunch on Friday and went for the breaded fish and chips. Good portion size and very tasty. Will be back.

When we were on our way back to the train station from our day out in Dundee we found this great deli on the way. I love finding new places to indulge in one if my favourite snacks - pies ! I was excited to buy Scotch style mince pies and a couple of Rhubarb and Apple pies. On getting home and trying them out however my disappointment was enormous !! The "meat" filling which would normally be tasty mince and perhaps onions or at least something that had the flavour of beef or lamb was instead a bland tasteless mixture of what looked like oatmeal and wallpaper paste combined. Maybe I chose the wrong pastry and should have tried the quiche or pork pies. By the way the fruit pies were better but not by much !! A waste of £4.50

Located in one of the side streets within the city centre, Gazeley's Delicatessen is a locally owned family owned business. There is delicious and fresh products available to purchases and a popular place for locals. If you are looking to buy fresh tasting food for making a meal, this is a great stop if you are in the city centre.

Great selection of fishandcold cuts in a very stylish setting. Experienced knowledgable staff who will give advice on how to cook your purchase. Treat yourself .

Its hard to find a good fishmonger these days ... supermarkets full of cling wrapped, not very fresh seafood. Here there is a wise range of scottish caught fish and national and international seafood specialities. A chat with the staff informed me that things change seasonally based on availability and quality. Really nice shop ... good customer service... award winning store ... but most importantly a super delicious "hot-smoked" salmon that was a lunch treat.

On coming out of the Overgate Shopping Centre we crossed the road into Castle Street and came across this marvellous delicatessan and fishmongers The place is a delight of cakes baking ,pies and pastries with a very knowledgeable fishmonger on the other side of the shop where else but Dundee would you find Spam fritters and Stovie Pies. We came away with more products than we intended to buy , we will be back
