Small intimate restaurant with great service who really help guide you through the menu and help with the Korean BBQ side where it cooks at the table. Highly recommend the bulgogi BBQ and the ttbeoki not sure if spelt right.

The restaurant wasn't busy when I visited. The owners were nice and served me quickly, I ordered the spicy sundaeguk but flavour wise it's not authentic gukbap. I'd give it 6/10 for nostalgia but lacks in flavour 🥺 Price was reasonable for London.

The soft tofu stew and bibimbap I ate here while traveling in England were the most delicious!

Food was amazing!! We had Fried Squid & Hot Stone Bibimbap, which were both delicious, but so were the side dishes. Best Korean I've had in a long time.

My second time dining here and I am happy to say that I will be back yet again . Very friendly, and attentive staff The best dishes to opp for judging by a party of 10 Koreans celebrating an occasion is to go for fish and deep pot dishes sizzling as its brought to the table, To then shair I had to agree, A private side room is available if required Prices range from moderate to expensive but was very happy to pay for what was lovely food

Came. Ate. Left with what I couldn't eat. Finished for breakfast. Absolutely delicious. Recommend: the chicken wings. KFC can't best the crispy wings here at Gaya. All very affordable and excellent side dishes included in our order. Which were all finished very quickly and left us wanting more.

Reyes Park is located between Wimbledon Station and New Malden Station. It's a place I pass by unless visiting a Korean community center or a restaurant. If you want to eat any Korean food, I definitely recommend it. As I was visiting sporadically even before COVID-19, I tried a variety of foods, but I didn't take many pictures because I focused on tasting things like tripe hotpot, cold noodles, pork belly, etc. every time I visited. Today too, there is only one photo. If you're hungry for Korean food, Gaya is a great place to visit for a birthday party or with your loved ones. P.S Jajangmyeon, jjamppong, and udon are also delicious. 🤤 🤤

Very rush …staff always want to take away the dishes when your mouth or hand stop for a min … it is totally not enjoyable… Besides , it is amazing the kimchi of this Korean shop is not as good as I expected… it is totally not spicy at all …

We live locally to Gaya & love it so much we have been visiting every fortnight for over 6 months! The staff are so great, very welcoming, friendly and helpful. It's very cozy with a laid back atmosphere, even when busy. We have tried the BBQ with family before which is amazing, but as my partner is vegetarian we usually share some delicious veggie dishes and it all tastes absolutely amazing. Even the complimentary side dishes (반찬 banchan) are so tasty. Highly recommend the Korean pancakes (해물파전, haemul pajeon and 깻잎 부추전, kenip buchujeon), tofu with vegetables (야채잡탕 yache jabtang) with egg fried rice (계란밥 gyeran bab) and of course the classic Bibimbap (돌솥비빔밥, dolsot bibimbab). The Egg fried rice is the best rice I've EVER eaten. They also do Bring your own Wine for £7 corkage. We look forward to trying other tasty looking dishes on the menu on future visits, and bringing other friends & family. Highly recommended!

Delicious Korean, very tasty. Only negative - bulgogi came with Western lettuce, not Korean.

Food was not great - the sweet and sour sauce was tasting like pure honey - the squid was raw. The traditional drink I had a warm sort of wine was not tasty at all - very disappointing not to get even a sorry for not being satisfied from the staff - or a reduction as I didn’t drink the drink at all. The pork dish I had to tell them to pack it for me in a take away box but without the sauce. I would certainly not got back again.

The food was good for vegetarians! There still could be more choice but the service was excellent! They were able to change items for vegetarians and were very nice about it too!

This is an authentic Korean restaurant. The staff is really nice, the prices are reasonable, and we love the food very much. We spent four hours driving to get here. Highly recommended. Also, the staff recognized us. He said, 'Remember my partner.' The truth is, we had dinner a few months ago, and we came back 😂😂. We will definitely come back again and again.

Quite a nice local Korean restaurant. Have had better jajang noodles but the starters are very delicious! Staff are also very nice. Looking forward to trying more mains to find my fave!

First time having proper authentic Korean food and absolutely loved. Had steamed bean sprouts and kimchi for starters and they gave 2 complimentary bowls of food as well. For mains, we had the BBQ, with thinly sliced beef and chicken, bean sprouts, mushrooms and lettuce. And it was absolutely delicious!! Well-priced, great vibe and very friendly staff! I've been going to Korean restaurants for the last 20 years in the area with my Korean wife. This is the best we've been to.

Korean people get a very different service. Staff do not want you in there if you are not Korean . Very grumpy staff, overpriced (if you’re not Korean) and badly ventilated. Be ready to need a shower afterwards.

Extremely delicious food and lovely atmosphere. Made a special journey all the way from Harpenden darling and it was well worth it. I'll be eating the sundae stir fry thingy with rice in my dreams for months to come. BYO corkage only £7 which is brilliant. Loved the puddings too. Thanks for a wonderful evening!

We had a great supper - we wanted to try Korean food and they helped us choose a good variety - we had a mix of barbecue and casserole but they ensured both were cooked at the table. Wonderful food, a warm welcome and reasonable price - I definitely recommend this restaurant!

Nice place with good atmosphere, tasty food, and efficient staff.

Tiny Korean restaurant that packs a punch. Having tried the majority of New Malden offering, this is one of best out there for traditional dishes. The seafood pancake was our highlight (flavour, thickness and texture to perfection). We saw many tables ordering the tempura prawn, possibly good, but batter lacked colour. The Kim Chi stew was sharp and tasty. Service a little lacking, with some staff refusing to make eye contact for fear of having to address you. Conveniently lots of parking available on the residential road outside.

I like to come here during the winter months when it gets dark early and maybe raining. This restaurant is tucked away in a nice quiet road and the warm light from inside invites you to come in from the cold to eat kimchi jjigae (김치찌개). If you are lucky, they might be playing Korean music. I could sit in here all evening listening to Taeyeon singing, whilst I eat kimchi jjigae.

An excellent experience. Had a mix of people some who'd had Korean before some who hadn't, some vegan, some not. Everyone was provided for and looked after. Food was sensational and beautifully presented. Excellent service.

Stopped by here after an exhausting day when I was in quite a sour mood and came out smiling and relaxed, asking my husband if he wanted to move to the neighbourhood. Prompt service and excellent food with a taste of home; perfect portions, nothing overseasoned or overcooked, and dishes advertised as spicy are ACTUALLY spicy, which made my Indian heart sing. I kept wiggling in my seat from how happy I was. Lovely multigrain rice accompanied my stir-fried squid, and the yukgaejang (tender shredded beef and vegetable soup) had a really pleasant kick and an aroma of fresh veggies. The free banchan provided added the right sweet and sour elements, and my ginseng tea came in a beautiful porcelain cup that stayed warm for the full hour we ate. Despite the quick service and late hour, we weren't ushered out. A truly comforting experience. I don't live anywhere near London, but I will return just to eat here.

Gaya is truly outstanding. Every dish I've ordered (and I've been back several times now) has been fresh, tasty, and made with obvious care. If you're familiar with Korean food, every dish is beautifully authentic. If you're not, this is a great place to try it for the first time. It's a small restaurant, so it's cozy and intimate enough for a date, but also excellent for a group of friends who want to do Korean Barbecue. There's also a nice selection of drinks. I highly recommend it!

Gaya is a popular Korean restaurant. The menu is incredibly extensive. So far, I have tried their bibimbap, various BBQ meats, and pajeon to takeaway. All have been delicious. I hope to eat in one day as it looks great inside too with some tables having a BBQ. An added bonus is that they have parking space outside.

One of my favourites in Raynes Park. It's small, but there's so much choice for food. The bibimbab is amazing.

My favorite restaurant in New Malden. Friendly staff with toddlers . they have toddler's cutlery anf plate (plastis so i can be calm) and amazing and attentive staff . Very authentic/clean/delicious and great service. Price is also very reasonable.

Lovely place with swift service. You always get water and some side dishes included in your meal. What's best is you can book a table which is sometime impossible in New Malden. We had mackerel, seafood pancake, ox bone soup, spicy seafood/tofu soup, bbq pork belly, beef ribs and some salad leaves. All for around £68. Enough for 3 people. Would go again. And they do the BBQor you!

Excellent, traditional Korean bbq with a wide selection of classic Korean dishes. Everything was well prepared, the side dishes, the appetisers and the bbq itself were all full of flavour and authentically made. The waitress was happy to explain the different options and give some recommendations as well as suggest extras to complete the experience. The adlay tea and citron honey tea were nice options to have and round out a great Korean lunch. Come hungry, as the portions are generous but delicious.

Lovely place, cosy and good service, Incredible food. I come here often with my family and its hard to choose anywhere else when we choose to dine out!

Delicious!! A must if you are in Raynes Park. Walking past the restaurant you are greeted with a nice smell of food that makes you want to come in. Once you do, you are welcomed by really friendly staff who are helpful for people who have never been to a Korean BBQ, even helping you with the cooking. We had pork belly and marinated beef and it was soooo delicious. You get plenty of toppings and you could also get sides to complete the experience. Good value for money. Highly recommended. We will be coming back.

Excellent food and service. For starters we ordered kimchi pancake, fried dumplings, korean fried chicken and selection of pickles. Everything cooked to perfection and tasted superb. Mains we had the chicken, steak and marinated pork bbq, with a large selection of kimchi, radish, and other pickles......absolutely delicious!!! service was very attentive. With alcoholic drinks for 4 was £150 inc service charge. Will definitely be returning, fantastic little find.

It was a recommendation from our Korean hairdressers. Now it’s our favourite Korean restaurant of all time. Every dish we have tried was just perfect and NOT pricey at all. I really like their rice too — is it red bean or mixed grain rice? The staff are super super super friendly too. They always come to provide just-right service when you need it. It’s baby/children friendly too. The lady always came to remind us which dish baby can try which might be too spicy. So nice. Really like this restaurant.

We tried BBQ tonight, the sirloin beef is excellent, while the pork is ok. The kimchee pancake tastes very good and crispy. The seafood tofu soup is also very tasty and thick, the purple rice tastes very nice. I wish they can provide better free appetizers though. Generally very good food, and good service.

Really tasty Korean food, got the pork and chicken bulgogi, kimchi fried rice, udon and gyoza. Not the cheapest but good quality, nice flavours, will be ordering again.

Loved the kimtchi fritters and the BBQ beef. Very extensive menu and restaurant is frequented by a lot of Koreans so I conclude it must be genuine. Pleasant atmosphere despite the smoke from all the table top BBQs.

테이크아웃했는데 10분걸린다고해서 놀랐지만 리뷰믿고 기대했는데.... 오징어볶음과 찐만두는 그럭저럭 먹을만했지만 순댓국은....진짜 너무했어요. 10분도 안되서 픽업해갔는데 이미 순댓국은 미지근하게 식은 상태였고 냉동된 순대를 제대로 끓이지도 않은 것처럼 딱딱했어요.... 한국음식이라면 웬만하면 좋다고먹는 영국인 남자친구인데 지금까지 먹어본 한국음식 중에 제일 별로라고 남기기까지 했네요. 오랜만에 기대하고간 한국인분들과 처음 가보는 외국인분들이 실망하지않도록 조금 오래걸더라도 제대로 요리해주셨으면 좋겠네요. 너무 아쉬운 식사였어요. I should have known that it is not gonna be good when we heard it would take only 10 mins to be collected. Soondea-guk wasn't cooked enough, hard and cold. As if they didn't boil it enough. I guess it's cooked for about 5 mins or a bit more. It was probably worse Korean food i have ever had in my life in Korea and in other countries. Hope you serve better dishes for Korean people who haven't had Korean food for a long time and for someone tries Korean food for the first time with excitment.

so many beautiful memories in this restaurant!! I used to go with a friend with serious allergies who struggled to go out to eat, he always felt safe here as everything was fresh and well prepared. everyone super lovely : ) I miss this place
