Galgorm House Happy Villa in Ballymena

Ordered for 5 people last night and portions were very small compared to other places. The majority of the beef in the beef black bean was so tough that it never could've been swallowed if it was chewed to next week! Disappointed and certainly won't be ordering beef again if I return

Food seems to be all ready made, cold by the time you get it to Ahoghill, had noodles -and some of them were burnt to a crisp all stuck together, fried rice is the same. Forgot part of our order and when we phoned down we were told it was our fault for not listening to what the staff called out, even though the staff didn’t call out the whole order called out part of it and said that’s yours, they did tell us it was ordered and paid for but weren’t going to give us the missing the food they had forgot to bag up for some unknown reason, customer service was appalling, not from counter staff but from owner or manager I’m not quite sure who he is. I’d expect better for the price too. Never used to have an issue with here, always used to be great food, used to be roasting by the time you got it home and customer service was always fab even if there was something forgotten was always sorted on the phone or was added on free of charge the next time we made a order. Haven’t and won’t be back.

Apparently used to be good but our experience was that that is no longer the case. Strange tasting below average food. Definitely wouldn't recommend you'd be better to walk across the road to the chippy or indian

My favourite Chinese! Haven’t found one as good. My favourites are the salt & chilli chips, half & half with curry and salt & chilli chicken! I haven’t had salt & chilli chips or a half & half with curry that I love more than Happy Villa!

Portion is surprisely small. The meat are so dry. The staff at the counter is very nice tho.

Called in today The chef treated the staff like s##t Had to walk out ! Disrespectful wee …. Open your eyes !! The counter staff were great, Get a job where you’ll be respected Won’t be back 😡

When the place is very busy the can struggle to keep up with the orders. On a couple of occasions i have had missed items like a portion of fried rice or chips. Apart from that it's normally very good.

An absolute disgrace. Bought chilli chips got home to open a plastic rectangle tub that you'd normally get a curry in and it wasn't even half full. I wasn't driving 3 miles there and three miles back to complain and give it back. So annoyed I threw it in the bin. Never ever will I go there again.

Used to really like this takeaway but had such a bad experience tonight, we were given a completely wrong order due to incompetent staff who took our order down wrong despite me repeating it three times over the phone to ensure that they understood, when we went back they charged us more money and acted as if it was our fault and as if we placed the wrong order which didn’t happen at all. Won’t be rushing back, didn’t get any apology

The best choice for Chinese in Ballymena

Chinese messed up order and did not send a meal but sent side that was supposed to be with the meal, so rang them back to say lady said come down to collect when i did the man behind the counter came over the counter shouting at me infront of other customers telling me his staff did not mess up it was me. waved his hand in my face etc. Customer service is pathetic will not be back here would give no stars if i could!!

The best Chinese around and very speedy service. Never had a bad meal out of The Happy Villa. I don't live local so I travel 20min to this Chinese and it's still warm and delicious when I get home.

Great Chinese food prices cheap for how good the food is. Great staff have had about just over 20 times couldn't complain about the staff or the food overall great Chinese.

Whilst the food is nice , the portion size seems to got smaller . To be honest I think most Chinese takeaway outlets in Ballymena area are similar, fairly miserable to be honest yet they charge a lot. I will not be back !!!

Really good Chinese restaurant, all the usual dishes youd expect. Recommend the shredded crispy honey chilli beef or the smoked chicken 👌

Nice Chinese but isn't anything special. Can be overpriced but I don't find I have to wait long to get my food.

Saw a video circulating on Facebook showing rats running around here.

Doesn't taste like traditional Chinese food... wouldn't even let my worst enemy go there. Seriously overpriced and waiting times are surreal... I might aswell go to the moon and back. The one saving grace is that the rice is pretty good. Would only recommend to someone I don't like however not the worst place in the world.

Absolute rip off. The portion sizes are that small it makes a McDonald's happy meal look 3 course meal

The restaurant and take away here are amazing. We had the early evening meal and it did not disappoint. Chicken curry here is second to none! Looking forward to my next visit!

Was here on Friday (27 feb) I ordered a small meal I noticed they had done up my chips and left them sitting on the counter for a while before bringing the rest of my food. when i open up my chips they are stone cold. wasn't a good experience.

Whilst taking in the walking track from Cullybacky to Galgorm, we stopped at Galgorm Spa for lunch, and found the experience very enjoyable - pleasant venue, courteous and helpful staff, and great food.

Booked this restaurant for a special birthday and the service was excellent. Food excellent and speedy service. Not rushed to order or to clear tables etc. Restaurant was full as it was weekend but the atmosphere was nice. Excellent food and good value for money.

Soy un son dados chino regular de comida, este lugar lo tiene tan lejos como el entorno es afectado, el interior es precioso, si tienes suerte de conseguir un asiento junto a la ventana, entonces es una ventaja. La comida estaba buena no es la mejor que he visto, pero no tengo quejas. El personal es servicial y el servicio muy bueno.

We have only ever used the take away option from Happy Villa as we live near by, the food here is so tasty and unlikey other take aways it feels like there is alot of effort put into the food as I myself am not a massive fast food lover I would deffently recommend the Happy Villa.

Lovely food great service , early bird great value for money . Great wine list busy resturant will hopefully return someday . Clean and airy ! Great find .

tuvimos una cena maravillosa aquí la noche pasada. Teníamos la £12,95 menú fijo y la una variedad en fue muy bueno. El servicio también era muy bueno. Sin duda recomendaría aquí como mi costumbre china Red Melocotones parece ser cerrado en el minuto por alguna razón.

Mi amiga y yo fuimos a comer en almuerzo de hoy. He comido aquí muchas veces. personalmente me han dicho, este es el mejor/restaurante chino para llevar en toda Irlanda del Norte. Me paro por esto! galletas de gambas dieron fuera gratis y mi amigo tenía una plato sopa. Ambos tuvimos unas (Hong Kong pollo dulce y amarga de estilo) chips principales y arroz cada una, Fanta y el desierto más increíble - parfait caramelo (es para morirse!!!!!) viniendo a un fantástico precio de £30,25 . Éramos los únicos en el restaurante. El servicio fue Rapidísima, y agradable. La comida cocinada a la perfección y nos sentimos increíblemente bien cuidado. las mejores Estrellas de clase y se lo recomiendo a cualquiera que busque un buen restaurante chino que sin duda aquí!!!

Have eaten this restaurant very nice and clean, the food are excellent but the service are not really effusive most especially the big round face. If anything that they can do with the staff it would be perfect.

No he estado aquí muy a menudo, pero fue tomado por un amigo. Me comer comida china por lo menos una vez cada semana, así que sé lo que me gusta y donde considero que lo mejor de la comida. Mientras que el entorno es mejor como es el servicio, que el restaurante I frecuente que no considera la comida tan buena.

I stayed at the Tullyglass hotel and they recommended the happy villa and thanks to them my son and I enjoyed a well cooked and beautifully presented meal we both thoroughly enjoyed.....try the special chow mein it trully is.....

Called in on May Day Bank Holiday around tea time, very nice restaurant, clean and tidy, service and food excellent. Will definately return.

Love going to this place - get nice treatment from the staff and very attentive to our 2 year old child!Food is good too - we always have aromatic duck for starter, my fave is the prawn in a birds nest and my wife loves the sizzling chicken Szechuan. Desserts are good if you have room after the meal -- recommend the Chock Fudge Cake - not very authentic chinese, but delicious all the same!For those on a budget - the early bird menu does the same courses as the normal menu at a discount price!

I live not far from this Chinese so sometimes I would go for lunch at it. The food is always very nice, even though I'm not a huge fan of Chinese food, I still like it. The waitresses can be slightly off putting sometimes, as you notice them watching you at times, which can make it seem a bit like they don't really want you there.The restaurant is quite expensive so better suited to a treat every once in a while.Overall a pretty good place.

Happy Villa's food is of a really good standard - the service is not exactly effusive, but the food is A1 and that's what's important - I recommend it very highly.
