Just ate the worst meal ever. Special fried rice, without the fried rice basically. Stodgy boiled rice and you could've literally counted the grains, there was so little of it. Full of vegetables,in a single carton, barely any thing else. The Peking ribs tasted nothing like it, very sharp taste of vinegar, practically no meat just fat.Basic spring rolls,no flavour, literally bland. Nothing nice about any of this food. The only positive was the lady that served is was very nice.

Over priced mediocre food, will get better elsewhere for cheaper, over hyped for what it is

The food is hit or miss. Ive given the two star rating due too it being the most expensive Chinese in ballymena. Another issue I've had is getting the food home to find out i haven't got all my order which has happened on several occasions.

Incredibly warm friendly and efficient service. The food is distinctly tasty, fresh and vibrant! Whilst slightly more expensive you can be guaranteed your getting the best Chinese food in Ballymena. A wee tip: it's quicker to go and order than phone in advance.

If your looking an affordable traditional Chinese, you’re on the wrong page! Tried this out for first time. Meals about £10 and rice/chips not included (extra £4.30 each). Honey chilli chicken was grand, Peking sauce was like burnt gravy (disgusting). Rice was not great but edible. Chicken fried rice was basically a rice slightly bigger with little/no chicken and cost tenner! Was expecting 25ish, shocked at £46! Turns out to be the most expensive worst Chinese I’ve ever had.

Chinese takeaway is a purely personal thing but this place is way over priced for what it offers in my opinion. The majority of my meal went to the bin, nearly £36 worth. Will not be back.

I would only go here for our Chinese takeaway as it is always tasty. Have only sat in once because upstairs is small so get a takeaway often.

Ordered Chicken Chop suey on phone for collection. Arrived and was charged a chicken stir fry as they don't have Chop Suey on their menu. Stir fry diesnt invlude rice so this was charged in addition. Total bill £9.60 for a chop suey! Avoid. Mediocre food.

Took the family to New Manley to celebrate my daughters birthday. On walking in, you are in a takeaway situation. You need to go through another door and upstairs to the restaurant. You will pass a set table for about 8 people under the stairs (very interesting). The restaurant itself is smaller than an average restaurant and the setting is very basic. The restaurant could seat approximately 20 and that is full capacity. There was five starters ordered, BBQ Spare Ribs, Peking Spare Ribs, Genius Chicken Wings, Prawn Toast and Cream of Mushroom Soup. The starters were large portions; the ribs were nice and juicy, the wings were a little dry they needed some form of sauce, I kept pinching my husbands!. The Prawn Toast was ok, but the Cream of Mushroom Soup, although tasty and full of sliced mushroom, was just a tad floury. The mains that we ordered were Chicken and Prawn dish, Crystal King Prawn dish, two Honey Chili Crispy Chicken and Sweet and Sour Chicken, 3 Fried Rice, 1 Soft Noodle and 1 Chips of which were large portions and very tasty indeed. The wine is a little pricey at £15.00 for a bottle of house wine (Sauvgnion Blanc) very nice. However, we never saw the sweet menu as this was not offered; they do give you a plate of complimentary fruit to cleanse your palette which is nice. On asking for the bill, however, which was handed to me, I put my card on the plate and ask would I have to come up to the front of the restaurant, you know, to key in my card details. I was met with, 'Oh sorry, we only take cash!!'. Well, could you imagine the shock and may be embarrassment!! I asked where was the nearest cash point and sent my husband the get the cash. So just a word of warning, when you visit this restaurant, take cash with you. However, the staff were very friendly and polite and because two of my children have nut allergies, I advised them of this and I was asked what meals they had ordered and she was straight down to the kitchen advising the chef of this, which I thought was brilliant. Oh, this restaurant opening times all week is 16.30 - 22.00

Okay firstly there's one big problem with this restaurant - it you don't know where it is you won't be able to find it!!!!! We were stopping here with friends on our way back to Newtownards from Bushmills. We rang ahead and booked. We should have been there in 20 minutes but when we got to Ballymena it took us another 20 minutes to find it. It is NOT on 6-10 Ballymoney road as stated on T.A. It has moved to Fountain Place / Springwell St and it moved after a fire 15 years ago! Also when you enter you do so through the takeaway bit so the restaurant door is not obvious at first. We spoke to the Chinese guy that looked in charge and told him the address is wrong but it didn't seem to gel with him. His waitress who was local and really lovely said she would amend the address but I see it's not done yet. Anyway, when you do find it and I highly recommend that you do.... It will be worth it.... here comes my recommendation - Best Chinese EVER!!! We had a selection of dishes all excellent. We will drive up there for that again!

Had a meal in here recently and it was very good. The service was very good an the fresh fruit after the meal was a nice touch. My only complaint was that there is not a lot of privacy as the tables are very close together owing to the size of the restaurant. It's a pity this restaurant isn't open during the week and not just weekends.

I wouldn't go anywhere else for chinese food! Chips are home cooked, fried rice is fluffy (not brown like other places) and the flavours of the dishes are something else. The chefs are very accommodating as well if you want any changes made to a meal. The restaurant is a little small but the food definitely makes up for it. Great wine list too!

Excellent Chinese food - good portion size, well presented & very tasty! Rib starter just fell off the bone, delicious. Staff very attentive and helpful. As others have said, very small, tables close together, cash only & only access I could see is up a flight of stairs.

Last-minute decision to eat out after a music lesson. Busy enough for a Thursday evening. Stanley, the propieter, greeted and seated us and produced the menus. Service was good and the food wven better. Extenaive menu. First time ever I ate and enjoyed bamboo shoots; usually, they are hard and tasteless. Not so in the Go Sun. Enjoyed the meal and interaction with Stanley ensures a return visit. Recommend.
