Fratello's in Swindon

Brilliant place. I went to this restaurant hoping for some good food and was not disappointed. As soon as we sat, we where offered a drink. Shortly afterwards we ordered food. We took the pollo de fungi and the vegetarian pizza. When I tell you that it was amazing I was not lying. The pasta was creamy and just perfectly cooked while the pizza was brilliant. The dough was nice and light while also fluffy. The staff were insanely polite and were great. The gelato was nice and creamy while also not to sweet but not to sour. Overall this was a outstanding place and I will definitely come to here again one day.

Have just been here for a family meal to celebrate a special birthday. First if you have a group or 6 or more and it’s someone’s birthday meal. You can print a voucher on their site for a £50 credit. This can be used for the birthday person against food only. It’s a great deal if I’m honest so get printing. They didn’t even ask for proof and brought a slice of cake at the end. Very nice touch. We tried a wide range of food to steak pizzas and fish. The food on the whole is quite good and downstairs is a good atmosphere. Typical loud and fun, I like it although a few in the group didn’t. I ordered the selection of fish as a main. Whitebait prawns and squid dusted in egg and breadcrumb and fried. Unfortunately this was not the best as the fish came out very dark very overcooked and in places burnt. The quality of the food I had was very poor. I would expect a good restaurant to cook fresh squid not brought in frozen crap I had the food taken away and asked if i wanted a replacement but after the bitter taste in my mouth decided against it. The food was deducted from the bill and even the waiter said the food was cooked really bad. Mixed bag here and a shame the sandwich deep fry things correctly. I would go back but for a pizza only and would avoid anything fish related or deep fried.

We ate here before going to Wyvern Theatre. The atmosphere was great very busy for a week night. The food was so Yummy, my friend said her chicken was the best she ever had. Think is was Petto Di Pollo. And the puddings were to die for. Definitely will be going back

Fratellos is the most delicious Italian restaurant I have found. The steak is so tender you could cut it with a spoon , and the sauce … the only place I’ve never had to ask for more sauce with my steak !! All the food is cooked to the absolute best standard . This is my go to place , the food is gorgeous , the decor is cute and boujee and the atmosphere is always happy. Staff cannot do enough for you , the limoncello is always a welcomed treat.

Fratello’s is located in a delightful spot in the heart of Swindon , for those seeking something special Fratellos’s consistently performs , from there wood fired pizza , succulent steaks and perfectly cooked pastas , each dish we have ever had has been mouthwatering , always a go to for us when visiting friends in Swindon , keep up the good work.

Food was great but the staff was absolutely dreadful. They were dismissive and horrible. Giving us rude stares and mean comments. In my opinion, it screamed racism. It’s the fact one staff member commented that we need to “quiet” down otherwise we will scare his customers away…😕…be for real. This was just one comment he made…among many! Bad service, they need to be more kind or otherwise find another job/hobby.

Been there last time on Wednesday 6th of December, but till today I’m outraged by the situation happened with me and my partner. We were here lots of times before, between lockdowns, had celebrations with friends here and everything was okay. Except this situation ⬇️ So we came at 8 pm on Wednesday (this fact is important) to have a great desert with drinks. But on time we were paying our bill, the waiter said: “ Next time if you will come here just for deserts we wouldn’t serve you” Excuse me???! What do you mean by this??? I’m your guest! And even if I would come for glass of water, you’d have to serve me. We wasn’t drunk or something, we were wearing clean and nice clothes. I had hair style, make up and dress on. So there is no reason to reject to serve us. We came here to have a coffee with a desert, not for rudeness or anything like that. Our bill was about £20, so what’s the difference between pizza and coke and tiramisu with coffee??? It was so rude, that we have nothing to say at this time because of shock 😳 But till now, 3 month later this situation didn’t leave us. Really disappointed.

Our combined family birthday treat was spoiled by the dreadful service that we received. Not until the gold credit card appeared were we given any respect. From the very first moment we were largely ignored. It took nearly 30 minutes to receive the wine we ordered. Food arrived haphazardly and of very poor quality. I ordered Lemon Sole. The sauce was so overpowering that the fish was lost. Other members of our group received similarly poor fare including a Bolognaise that could have come from Poundland. Our waiter was arrogant and treated us as if he were doing us a favour by allowing us in. Lattes were delivered with no coffee in and begrudgingly changed. This seemed a deliberate joke from their point of view. My family and I have eaten at this venue over the years and were one of their first customers when it opened. None of us will ever return.

My daughter and I are both gluten free and loved that Fratellos have so many GF options. My daughter LOVED her GF pasta and I LOVED my GF Tropicale pizza, plus a cheeky GF cheesy garlic bread to share…. Delicious

Was in town on business and the boss wanted to take me somewhere descent , and he made a great choice I opted for seafood pizza ( I generally go seafood pizza or pasta and it’s a good benchmark) and hands down it’s the best seafood pizza I ever had. Lots of Octopus , squid, mussels , prawns , anchovies (added extra) and other wonderful delights on a super thin base of tomato with a hint of chilli….. unreal Service was nice , not rushed, drinks flowed nicely…. There are cheaper options around the doors but I’d imagine it’s a “gotta pay for quality” situation

I was really excited to try a gluten free pizza from an Italian takeaway but was terribly disappointed. The pizza had hardly any mozzarella cheese or the toppings which was ham and pineapple. The ham that was on there was whole pieces of ham just chucked on the top. The edge of the pizza was about 2inch's away from the edge and they were too hard to eat, even the dog struggled to eat them. Wouldn't recommend or go back there. Also although the trillion Aries tart was alright I think £6.95 for a tiny slice is a total rip off.

Disappointed, i have given a average score because food is good but for some reason the service last few times seems rushed and not like it used to be but I am also amazed that when I received my bill I was charged for asking for some mayonnaise for my son never at any restaurant I have ever been to have I been charged for this, £1.50 good job all of us didn’t want some sort of sauce so on principle now I shall try a couple of other Italian restaurants in Swindon have always eaten here but time for change I think, not a happy customer

This was a great find by one of my colleagues while away working in Swindon. We was a group of 10 and all of us had such a great meal, that we went back the following day for dinner too. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Will definitely be back if in Swindon again.

The food was delicious, they did sizeable portions, and lots of delicious options. The service is wonderful. The waitresses were super friendly and helpful. If I lived round then corner and not sheffield, this would be my regular Italian.

Visited Fratellos while in Swindon with work. Waited an age for a table that I had booked. Waitress was rude beyond belief and talked to us like we owed her a living. Service was slow and food was average at best. Table was dirty too. Won't be going back.

My daughter lived in Swindon for 3 years whist doing her degree at Wilkes Academy so we drove from Birmingham on many occasions to see her. i booked a table for me and my partner tonight, neither of us have ever been before. the hospitality was amazing, everyone was extremely polite. we were seated in the cellar which was beautiful. i ordered the carbonara, my partner had Penne Alla Genovese, the portions defeated us, you definitely get MORE than what you pay for, and both meals, we agreed were delicious! the food came out quick, and was piping hot 👌🏻 we’re both exited to return!

I had booked and received confirmation three weeks previous but they wasn’t expecting us and made us feel unwelcome. The starter was a shared garlic bread but despite the on-site wood fired oven, was no better than a frozen shop bought effort. My main of spaghetti bolognese was bland with no fresh herbs and the pasta was dried pasta - not fresh as I was expecting from an authentic Italian restaurant. Really substandard and not worth the expensive bill!
