Frankie & Benny's New York Italian Restaurant & Bar - Stevenage in Stevenage

We went to Frankie and Benny’s after the cinema tonight.We had such a fantastic meal!Our server was really friendly,her name was Natasha and service was quick and prompt despite it being quite busy.The food was also really delicious too for starters I had the fully loaded potato skins bacon,cheese and spring onion and it tasted really delicious!Also piping hot,nicely presented and good portion size.For mains I decided to treat myself as it was the last day of half term,I went for the chicken,rib and bacon combo without the corn.It was all so so tasty and you can’t get a better combo!It also is extremely filling which is good if you’ve got a long drive home,if you’ve got a gruelling night shift as it sets you up ahead of you or you just want to treat yourself!The ribs were delicious,they tasted so delicious and meaty,the bbq sauce was tasty,The bacon was also really tasty too,loved the texture and that crispness to the taste it was so delicious too.Loved the cheese and bbq sauce on it too,really enhanced the flavour.The chicken was also tasty too.As I am gluten free I had the jacket potato which was really tasty and filling!Loved the butter packs it came with,was so cute.Nice atmosphere and music too.I also loved the breakfast poster too which looked lovely and made you feel hungry.Would highly recommend this Frankie and Benny’s.It Costs money but with the 30% off if you have visited the cinema (lucky you there is just a cineworld across the road)it makes it great value!Would highly recommend

Great wait service. Our waitress smiled the entire time and was really personable. Lovely experience, sad that menu has decreased heavily, we have not visited since before covid. Still good family grub though.

Staff were really nice but the Food was awful, wrong orders, cold food and some food was inedible. Avoid the Mac and Cheese, Adding bacon is a waste they give you almost nothing and the cheese sauce has no taste and zero flavour, one of the wost pasta meals I have ever eaten and I god dam love cheese. All pasta dishes are overdone and taste like rubber, DO NOT EAT HERE EVER... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Eight of us went for Breakfast. The place was very clean and tidy, and the waiting staff were polite and helpful. We were shown to a table and drinks were ordered. We explained that one of our party was coeliac, and the waiter explained that there was a gluten free menu. All good. Food was duly ordered and arrived in good time. However, the gluten-free meal had a pile of fried potatoes on the plate, which had NOT been on the gluten-free menu. We queried this and asked if the potatoes were indeed gluten free. The waiter looked shamefaced and admitted they were not. He took the plate away and promised to cook a fresh breakfast, as the rest of the ingredients on the plate could have been cross-contaminated. All fine. Mistakes happen. However....the new breakfast appeared suspiciously quickly. We queried whether this was freshly cooked and were assured it was. Then, thankfully before any of it had been eaten, we saw that there were still some potatoes left on the plate underneath some other ingredients. They'd clearly simply scraped the potatoes off the plate and represented it to us as a fresh breakfast. Now this may seem like a minor thing to anyone that has no experience of Coeliac Disease, but as any sufferer will know, one tiny molecule can cause immense problems to the sufferer. This would effectively have ruined our daughter's Christmas and set her back a long long way. It wasn't a mistake, it was a wilful attempt to mislead. And it shows a really scary lack of understanding on the part of the restaurant, who so proudly offer a "gluten free" menu. They clearly don't get it. Shame. Frankie and Bennies is a nice place to go - but now we simply can't risk it. Some urgent re-education of staff and procedures is needed. If you are gluten intolerant, please be careful.

We went here this evening for a family dinner after the cinema.I thought it deserved nothing less a review on tripadvisor.We have received some of the best customer service we have ever received from Safet.We ordered a gluten free bbq chicken pizza however we had realised it had come round,usually gluten free pizzas come in a square shape in Frankie and Benny’s.We then raised our concerns with Safet,the rest of the people on my table tried it and weren't convinced it was gluten free.He reassured it with us that it was,we were 100% sure that it was but it didn’t taste like a gluten free pizza so we took it back.He was really friendly and understanding throughout the experience.I am now nervous of eating pizza if the gluten free base comes the same as the gluten containing pizza because it comes from an experience at another pizza restaurant that I won’t name that served the gluten containing and gluten free pizzas on the same base and even thigh I requested it to be gluten free,my pizza came out and I felt very unwell after eating it for a little while as the base did contain gluten.However I do like places that serve gluten free pizzas on different bases to the gluten containing pizzas so you could instantly tell.Places such as Pizza Hut and in the olden days Frankie and Benny’s.However ordered a gluten free cheeseburger instead,that was really delicious,beef tasted delicious,was well cooked and meaty.Also the bun was a nice texture and tasted nice same as the cheese.The jacket potato was really nice too.Love the little pattern on the butter,that was so cute.You wouldn’t get such amazing customer service in a situation like this in the savoy!1 Million out of 5 stars.However the service was quick,potato skins were delicious and I love the Christmas decs too.Also great choice of food on the festive menu and great gluten free menu.Also cinema ticket offer is great and food is amazing value and a meal you wouldn’t mind so much paying for.

Delicious food and really lovely friendly service on a Friday night. The mains came out fresh, hot and fast. Special shout out to Hannah our waitress who was a delight.

Haven't been to Frankie & Benny's in years for some reason and I can't really work out why. Anyway, today was fabulous. The service was excellent, food amazing and none of my family had any complaints which never happens when we go out! We had starters, steak, burgers and pizza between us and all were delicious. Will definitely be back soon.

The food was excellent, as it always is. We shared garlic bread and southern fried chicken for starters, and for main course we had a BBQ chicken pizza, cheeseburger and lasagne. All was delicious. What really stood out in this visit was the service from our waiter, who I think was called Kai - at least that’s what it says on the bill. He was super friendly and couldn’t do enough for us, in spite of suffering with a bad foot. He didn’t mention it, but he was limping a bit. Honestly, nicest guy ever. His manager needs to keep that lad close - he’s a huge asset.

Dinner was quite rushed (on my part) due to wanting to catch our film in time but Kai, our server, was absolutely fantastic. So polite and had a chat with my youngest child. Such a lovely waiter, he couldn’t do enough! Don’t normally review restaurants but had to for Kai. The food was amazing also! Never a complaint from me here!

We went to the restaurant on 12th April for dinner. We went in late, about 9.15pm and they were nearly closing. They served us. Kieran dealt with us. The food was delicious and served promptly. Kieran's service was second to none! He was friendly, helpful and professional througout. He had a nice, quiet, unassuming character but a good sense of humour. A delightful young man. To his credit, we would return there because of him. Thanks Kieran. The food was lovely, served hot and promptly. The music am was fantastic. Nostalgic and atmospheric of 1950's and 1960"s. Great! ±Not played too loudly. Just perfect. Very impressive.

Family of 10 Birthday meal. We were served by the manager (we think), and he was great looked after us. Food came quick, tasted great and was a good evening over all!

Visited last night, for my daughters 9th birthday, where 14 of us had dinner pre bowling opposite. Fantastic waitress service, and food was great. The staff were really attentive and checking in to see that everyone had everything they needed at all times. We all had a fabulous time, and thanks so much to Frankie and Bennys team Stevenage for making this a great experience for my daughter and her friends. Highly recommend the BBQ platter; was fab.

Myself and partner brought our hungry 2 boys here bank holiday Monday. Asked for a round booth which was cleaned and ready for us in minutes, the waitress was kind and polite and talked to my 4 year old which he loved. The food came quickly and tasted great, the bbq chicken pizza was amazing and the boys loved their cheese pizza. Had desert ice cream was good and cookie dough was ok but would still order it again. I like this f&b and always come back never fails us.

Poor quality food and flat coca cola. Really not good value and won't be going back even if I can get a voucher.

Visited with my friend on a Sunday lunchtime. We booked ahead, but there was plenty of space to sit anyway. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Would like to give a special mention to Hannah, who was so great and really put us at ease. She really made our visit special! The food was lovely too, and not too expensive. I had the macaroni cheese and my friend had a chicken burger, which she said was delicious. They didn’t rush us through our meal so it was really nice to sit and chat. Overall, a great visit! 😊

Kids choice for lunch. It was very quiet and we were seated quickly. We were not given the menu with the lunch specials until I asked, just the expensive full menu. Thats a bit naughty - a bit like trying to rip you off. Kids got italian style food and really enjoyed it. I got a burger - not so great. Fries were not far off cold and were anemic. Burger was a dull affair with little taste and a struggle to finish. Whole plate looked unimpressive with no flourish or dressing up, no trimmings. Service, apart from not giving us the lunch time menu or telling us about it until asked, was great and really friendly.

Tuesday of last week we arrived in a group of five. From when we sat down, staff were attentive and very kind to my friend who bought a Birthday cake to hide until later. Extensive menu for all types of lifestyles, our gluten free vegan friend did struggle a little and ended up with sweet corn and a jacket spud, luckily she wasn't really hungry as pasta and pizza aren't her thing. To be fair, the menu still has so many options but she admitted she was really fussy!! We enjoyed our food, didn't get rushed out, and sat and chatted as is the norm in F&B's we've found. One thing to note. The cocktails need a stir. I always find them tasteless until i've mixed everything around a few times. Maybe look at that... it's a little thing, but the mixing maybe needs a change round. See you soon no doubt!

Popped in for lunch with my mum, staff friendly enough but not interested. I don't know who supply's there food but had a double bacon cheeseburger and.black pasta filled with crabmeat in a.garlic sauce. The burger was awful, economy burgers that are better than these i swear the burger pattie would have bounced on the floor, it was as if it was precooked off site and just heated up. The pasta was so tough it was laughable had to cut it open and take the crab meat out I wouldn't recommend going to Frankie and Benny's This was the Stevenage branch

Wow where do I start! First of all the service was extremely poor it was really quiet and all your workers were just staring at us making me and my friends feel uncomfortable and then the woman who served us was very belittling and came across like she didn't know what she was doing or wanted to be there. Now where do I start on the food! My friend has a burger which looked like it had come out of the microwave and was soggy, undercooked and cold. My pasta was very average and the meatballs were cold. The food came out quick but could this be the reason why our food was so cold and undercooked. My friend asked for a burger without the burger sauce but it came with it anyway resulting in her not eating her meal. Futhermore the mocktail I got was an absolute rip off I payed £4 for a glass the size of my toe. Horrible service and horrible food.

walking into frankie and bennys today with my friend i was very shocked to not have been asked if we were in the same house hold... of course we would’ve said yes but the face we was never asked worries me that you’re not complying with COVID rules...when ordering drinks my friend asked for a minute to decide what she would have to drink, she was then told “no i’m busy you have to tell me now”. With me and my friend both being in the hospitality industry i found this to be very unprofessional, i mean telling someone they can’t think about what they want it’s pretty much now or never?? Disgusting!The food came out quick and efficient, we had a wrap and carbonara, the carbonara was amazing tasted very nice however, the wrap was cold and the chips were undercooked, it was awful! Luckily my friend wasn’t overly hungry anyway so she decided to leave it and not cause a fuss by getting a new one. When we told our waitress about the issue with the food she did not respond to us and no form of compensation was given to us. Not a sorry or a slight discount for the inconvenience. i feel mistreated and discriminated against as we are both young girls and that our complaint wasn’t taken on the chin it was ignored. Maybe train your staff in customer service?? will never ever return

The spaghetti bolognaise was absolutely amazing! My friends and I absolutely loved the food, and the customer service was excellent. I will definitely be coming back !

My friend and I went there for lunch today, we have been there lots of times before because it’s our favourite restaurant in the leisure centre.The staff are lovely, the food arrives quite quickly, we both had our favourite meal in there, the signature dish of pasta and meatballs,a lovely hot cappuchino and a fruity mocktail, and lemon tart for dessert. I also enjoy the ambience in there, and the swing style music playing in the background. The staff are friendly and efficient. Definitely recommend this restaurant, and they are going to remain open for takeaways during lockdown, which is good to hear, it would be bad news if they were forced to close.An altogether lovely lunch experience.

Very clean and felt very safe. Excellent distancing and a one way system in place. Staff very friendly and service was very good. Food was lovely and great value for money. With a new lock down about to happen we wish them all the best and will be visiting when lock down is over.

Isn't even a star.We paid nearly 80 pounds for our undercooked dinner even so we sent a burger back because the lettuce was sandy. It cracked Under my teeth while I was chewing on it.Ohh yeah and I won the blossom tomato end.They took it off from the the bill but I left hungry.Thank you for this experience very appreciated!

Was absolutely nightmare,very disappointing Way overpriced,the quality of the food was terrible.Cold and tasteless.The burgers we ordered is reminded me of School canteen food.,pre cooked .it was just horrible.Waitress was not rude but I felt rushed. Never again.

Terrible racist experience, we called and booked a table and got shown sitting area and drink order taken as we where waiting on food the manager came out and told us we had to leave due to covid and fully booked for two days, when I questioned the two days fully booked due to the place being empty she said we have bad experience with you people, I said I would pay upfront she said no you need to leave and wouldn’t provide name. I have never Been to the restaurant before and have never experienced this behaviour before only read on newspaper and am utter shocked at racism still here 2020. Anyone from a ethnic background will not be welcome.

Very good food, I come here regularly with my girlfriend and it never disappoints. service is good never takes long for our food to get to our table. Used to go the the branch in Hemel Hempstead but unfortunately it closed down lucky enough this one is near by and their is a waiter I know called Kyle which is very helpful and is always making sure we have had a good experience at the restaurant

Difficult times may explain tonight, but just had a very poor meal. All 4 dishes looked cobbled together & reminded me of food you may get in a grotty cafe. Cheese not melted over food, just slapped on & chicken was luke warm & greasy. Should of complained but maybe is due to COVID struggles, do didn’t bother. Only plus was the waiter was quick so got out of there quickly. F&B’s have never been the height of fine dining, but I don’t recall them being this bad, but again probably down to the current situation.

I know these are extremely hard times but the menu and food quality is poor the fish I had was tasteless and dryI would not come again unless things greatly improve.If you can’t afford fish then serve cod fish fingers because for the £11 I paid its over priced the service was ok but very stressed

I came here a couple of days ago with some friends, this is our first time back after lockdown. We were served by Kyle and the service was fantastic, he kept coming back to check on us and our food and constantly made sure our drinks were topped up. Tables were kept socially distanced, and once we were seated “out of use” signs were put on the tables next to us! Lovely evening, lovely food, will definitely be back in the future!!

Myself and a friend had booked a table for 6;30pm, we arrived 10 minutes early and was able to get in straight away, no queue at all. The service was quick and the waitresses were lovely. The food was delicious ;) and really good price. Despite the current situation this was a lovely evening out and I would go back next week!

We have had few meals in last few weeks and both staff and food were amazing. Even when extremely busy they have worked so hard and serve hungry people!We were served by few servers over last few visits and can honestly say all servers and other staff members were so helpful and welcoming. We saw a person going around and cleaning all the time, they sit every other table so people can keep their distance, all seem to be working fantastic!We will be back very soon.Thank you Frankie and Benny's Stevenage

We just recently visited the restaurant for informal dinner. Restaurant was clean and follow all Government Guidance, waiters who was looking after us was really lovely, I did captured her name but she was petite blond speaking with Italian accent, she proper look after us, and her customer skill are up to perfection. Food was fresh and lovely. My praw pasta, was delicious and my boyfriend even decided to go for dessert - warm cookie with ice cream. Good choice.

We were so distraught when Frankie's closed and even sadder when we heard some sites were closing which made our delight and enjoyment of coming in for the first time after reopening. Lovely to see all the amazing staff there and meet those I havent seen before (social distancing of course) Brody, thankyou for being so courteous and Avni thankyou for making the meal even more maaz9ng with your charm. See you all soon!

Was greeted by a man in a pink shirt with a beard who was very charming and amusing. Eda who served us was lovely and smiling throughout. I also noticed there was someone cleaning the restaurant constantly which is a nice thing to see and something I’ve not seen in other restaurants. Will definitely be back soon!

My relationship with Frankie and bennys has been a rough one. I have eaten there around 10 times and I kick myself every time I go in . Ok tHis time was dead due to corona virus and the service was a bit slow as there was only one staff member serving but the food was really good. In the past the food has been barely edible but this time I really enjoyed it. Mushrooms Alfredo was tasty and hot, the pizza was light and thin and tasty. I will always be dubious of dining in a Frankie and bennys but this experience is a step in the right detection.

Five of us fancied a pudding and hot drink after bowling so popped into F&B. It was almost empty. We ordered 3 waffles, a chocolate brownie and a cheesecake. The waffles (not even a whole one) were like shoe leather and cold as was the brownie. We sent them back to be heated and they weren’t much better when they came back. The cheesecake portion was tiny and given all the desserts were nearly £6 each, very poor value for money. The hot drinks weren’t hot either. Shockingly bad quality of food and service, especially when they were so quiet.

Went here for dinner last night and left really unimpressed. The menu at Frankie's always looks appetising, but everything falls short. Few issues we had below:1) the restaurant was FREEZING. Keep-your-coat-on cold, and it always seems to be whenever we go there, so was not a one off. It's as though they never turn the heating on.2) It took 45 minutes for a waiter to come to our table. When he finally did, he was very abrasive and not friendly at all.3) When we were finally able to order—one of us from the vegan menu—we were told they had hardly anything left on that menu as they were going to be getting rid of it soon. All that was available for starters were dough balls or garlic bread, and for mains I got the last lasagne they had. Disappointing to not be told this when we first walked in and having to settle for whatever they had left as we'd already waited that long. So, to all vegans, no point coming here as they are going backwards instead of forwards by removing vegan food.4) When the food came it was SUPER greasy to the point where the garlic bread was wet. Not good. The main was okay, but a small portion and only just warmed. It was clearly not cooked fresh and had been poorly reheated. Not what you expect to pay for in a restaurant - if I wanted to reheat an old meal, I'd do it at home.All in all, not a great experience in a cold restaurant with a borderline rude waiter and hardly any food available. And the food that was available being greasy/not fresh.We won't be returning unfortunately.

We have eaten regularly here in the last few years as decent choices for kids but we now only eat there due to 2 for 1 through compare the market.the food is fine but massively overpriced for what it is, and I fear this greed is going to cost them dear. It’s not as if the standard of food is that high to justify those prices. We have also noticed the dining experience has worsened, lot of screaming families ( and we are not snobs we have kids who aren’t angels) but it ends up being not enjoyableThe waiting staff try their best, can’t fault them but I think it’s going to end badly unless they either cut prices or Improve quality of food

Food was very bland and staff was very lifeless. I had the pizza which was basically just cheesy bread. I couldn't even taste the sauce. I wasn't given a pizza cutter and when I asked for one they gave me a steak knife stating staff can't give the cutters to us. Our waiter was a man we spoke to twice. A woman who wasn't even our server had more interaction with us than him, however when it came to payment he was right there, I had to make a point of asking for the tip to go towards our female server who was actually really friendly. On a plus note. The Female on the bar was more than happy to make a drink that wasn't on their menu and seemed really friendly. Food and atmosphere however very poor and I won't be back anytime soon

We arrived at this restaurant after picking up my son and his partner from the airport, we got here first,explaining the would be another 20 mins,we were then shown to our table given a menu and there we sat for at least 15 mins no one asked if we would like a drink while we were waiting , in the end i got up and went to the bar and ordered a bottle of wine not a good start, when the waitress arrived with the wine and four glasses we were shocked to see they still had dirty washing up water in them these went straight back to the bar and replaced with clean ones problem number 2, the food was ok and really that's sums up our experience of this restaurant.

Poor service, greasy tasteless food. The restaurant wasn't that busy but waiters walking around like zombies, you call them over and they don't even hear you. Our starters arrived before our drinks. Starters were very nice we had the plant balls and mushroom ravioli. Both cooked beautifully. Mushroom Bianca totally tasteless was like a supermarket ready meal that had been heated up and plonked in a bowl! Vegetable calzone with 'soy pieces' had ONE soy piece in the whole dish. Sweet potato fries so greasy and swimming in oil! Poorly run and a waste of money!

Nice ambiance, if a little loud. Good food. Reasonably priced. Buzzy so good for families or pre-night out.

Had a quick meal here with family and it was ok. Seemed empty which was worrying but food was ok and service quite quick , not much of a smile but just ok.We had 2 for 1 meerkat meals so it was cheap .Would go back for a quick cheap meal but not a special occasion.

Decided to visit and was a bit disappointed. Food was quick and hot but my husband had the pork chop and it was very dry and overcooked. Was also made to feel second best as there was a party of 45 and the person who served us commented that the reason that our order of two waters was a bit slow was because of this party -he weren’t even serving that area.

We visited on a Saturday for a pre cinema lunch . It was ok . My 12 year old daughter found her garlic pizza bread greasy . My starter was ok . My daughter enjoyed her Chicken burger . My prawn pasta was quite bland very few prawns and weak tomato sauce . The service was ok, food was not particularly hot . It was just mediocre really

Frankie and Bennies used to be my wife and 11 year old sons go to breakfast spot. After our experience on Sunday 22 December, no more.

The waiting staff were polite- Thats the end of good parts.

Their Menus have changed several times in the last 12 months each time they have reduced the amount of options for food to the extent where there are only a small handful if meals I would order.

Visited with my partner and 2 year old girl. My partners seat was all lumpy and when we asked to change seats to one of the waiters, he said that's fine and pointed at another waiter and said speak to him, he can move you. We waited but the other waiter was too busy with other customers so we just stayed put. After waiting a long while a waiter walked past and we asked if we could order. She said its not her job and said she will get someone to come. After a while, another waiter came and took our order. The food that came was not to a very good standard. The corn on the cob was all soggy. I assumed it would have been grilled nicely with some butter on it. There was only a small amount of chips on my plate, undercooked with mild warm coleslaw and the ribs were not nice, seemed boiled rather with a splodge of bbq sauce on it. It tasted like Iceland frozen food or something you get from ready made meals.The toilets were filthy and smelt bad. Dread to think what the kitchen is like. Not worth the time or money.

It has been a few years since coming to Frankie and Benny's, and it hasn't changed a bit. Which is nostalgic, but the venue does look very tired.

Visited with wife and 4 grandchildren (ages 10-14) for mid-week lunch. Booked beforehand but there was no need. Nobody was on desk to greet us and I had to wander in the restaurant to gain attention! This indifferent service continued throughout the whole meal. Having ordered both drinks and food, the drinks came relatively quickly but we had finished all these by the time the food came some 15 minutes afterwards.There was nothing special about the food and in the environment, I had hoped the children would have been entertained. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Disappointing!

Stepping into the restaurant, the first thing you’ll notice is that it’s often ver busy, especially in the evenings. This is understandable, but despite this, the staff is always on top of every situation and handle newcomers with upmost efficiency. Allergies are seen as a priority (which I well-respect), and seating is always brilliant.

Way overpriced, for what it is. Underwhelming "Italian" food. I've had better from discount food stores, that I've taken home and heated up myself! Not worth the trip.

Came her for my birthday and it was an absolute nightmare... when we turned up there were only 4 tables full so it was not busy AT ALL! ... I had a table prebooked and when i turned up, there was no cutlery and the table wasnt even made, no menus nothing. Te waitress didnt come over to us to even lay table/give menus until i had to walk up to her after 10-15 mins of being sat down. they took ages to take our food order. They got it wrong because i asked for garlic bread on the side (i was theonly one out of 7) and then they order it as a starter so it came out before anything else and i told them we wanted it togehter... so it sat on the side for about half hour (they clearly were then cooking the rest of the food cos they had forgotten). The food sat on the counter side for 15 minutes before it came over and the food was extremely cold. some of the order was wrong. when we spoke to the manager, his attitude was disgusting, and not helpful.

We had actually come to Stevenage to try Wagamamas but the queue was so long we came here as somewhere we had been before and enjoyed. We just had three burgers and drinks and even using my Meerkat meals buy one get one free app it came to £41.15 for the three of us. Food was okay but not worth nearly £15 each main course. Service okay.

Visited here today for evening meal which was lovely. I ordered the salmon jacket potato and greens, my partner had the pizza. However was very noisy and then they come out to sing happy birthday to someone. Far to loud I even had to put my fingers in my ears it was that loud. Please turn it down. Also on arriving I saw the waiter talking to my partner and I asked him after ordering our meals what he had said to him as I didn't hear and he said he asked if he had any food allergies which they now have to ask everyone. I said he didn't ask me, if he's meant to ask everyone he should of asked us both at the table so we both heard him. I'm not sure if I will visit here again because it's way to loud when they play the happy birthday song which is a shame as food was nice.

Visited this restaurant with my granddaughter for a treat. Service was good but food was only average. I thought the menu needs updating. I don’t think I would go again, but my granddaughter enjoyed her meal. The experience for me was disappointing.

I used to love Frankie and Bennys. But since they changed the menu there is no more philly cheese stack burger which was my fav especially the chilli cheese sauce. Its lost its charm and atmosphere.

You don’t expect much from a chain in a leisure park but this was a complete disappointment. I had a salad which was ok, but my friend’s chicken was over cooked, the fries were almost raw. Service was below average. The wirst however were the flies. They were around the table but especially in the toilet. The facilities were a disgrace and hadn’t been cleaned in a while. My coke glass had old lipstick marks and was generally not clean. The place is very tired. I certainly won’t return.

Double charged for order and been waiting 2 weeks since they were last in contact. Have sent them the proof they were after but they don't even have the decency to acknowledge or resolve the issue

Having been coming here for yours it seemed like a good idea to take my grandson here for a bite to eat. Never again after the appalling attitude from the waiter and unbelievable length of time to wait for our meals even though the place was practically empty. We were greeted by a young waitress who have to say was very friendly at very attentive. Ordered starters and main meals. The starters arrived,no problem and then she collected our plates. And then we waited. And waited. And waited. The bearded waiter could see I was getting perplexed so he approached me and asked if there was a problem. Yes mate,the problem is we were STILL waiting for our meals. He then told me the order only went in 11 minutes prior to him coming over!! I told him that's nonsense as our plates for our starters were collected at least 20 minutes ago!! He then said he'll ask the waitress if I didn't believe him which you dont need me to tell you that's an indirect way of saying I'm a liar. Now I'm not one for the saying "the customer is always right " but on this occasion this customer was right and this guy was an unapologetic, arrogant and unprofessional excuse of a waiter!! The meals finally arrived but by now the experience was ruined which was a huge disappointment seeing as this was going to be the last time my wife and I would spend with our grandson before he moves to Australia.

Carbonara pasta was good, however our experience was made by Eda, a great waitress!!! She paid attention to our customized requests about drinks ("exactly 2 ice cubes"), had super-chilled, funny and friendly approach. We're definitely gonna be back!

Hi all, I visited frankies today for a spot of afternoon lunch with my partner, we chose frankies due to a recommendation from a friend (this was our first ever visit) and on entry to said restaurant the first thing we noticed was lots of finger marks on windows and doors and the tables and seating appearing particulary grimey yet we still thought we would give it a try.

Brendan was great, excellent service! Very quick service and food was lovely :) Will be coming back!

Came with my boys for lunch between a cinema to and trampolining session. The kids menu was misleading - ordered corn on the cob as a side, only to find it was an inch, cut off a big cob. The fries were really too fat to be called that, and my 'skinny' pizza was, in fact, half a pizza.

Loving the new menu and new music. And the service was great. We used to go to this one then managers changed and moved around and wasn’t as good. But now the old manager is back you can see the difference. Amazing food and service. Thank you everyone. Love the pepperdrew pizza and the meatball starts

We visited last night, the service was excellent, the food tasted good and there was a wide variety of food for my 6year old son who has coeliac disease so is gluten free. He was so excited to see chocolate brownies and ice cream on the GF menu in his words “this is legendary!”

Popped in before a film , food was served prompt as we told them we were on a time scale . Great value and kids loved it ! Happy kids = happy parents

Went here as a last minute thing to save cooking too late at home. With two young kids it’s hard to go somewhere we can be quick and feel comfortable. They were really quick with the service. Amazing deal for family’s 3 pasta dishes and a pizza for £25 which is so good for family’s like us. Really good experience and happy to go back again at another time with the kids it wasn’t stressful like usual!!

I generally avoid Frankie and Bennys as I have been to several of their restaurants in the last 18 months and had a bad experience in each. We only went to the Stevenage restaurant as we were going to watch a film and all other restaurants were full. I ordered potato skins that were cold, tasted like they were filled with smash and yet had melted cheese on top. Main was a chicken wrap that was also cold. Got home and had a sick feeling all over for 24hrs a after. Won't be back. Will avoid the chain at all costs now.

We enjoyed a meal with our college group as part of their end of term activities. The food was great and the staff friendly and helpful.

Visited this Frankie & Bennys on Saturday for a get together with some family. It was a lovely occasion and the food was really tasty and the service was brilliant. It was very busy, kids parties, lots of families like us but couples too! The Happy Birthday song came on x3 times and it was deafeningly loud the first time it scared everyone half to death but it was genuinely hilarious and everyone was laughing! Great vegan/veggie options aswell on the menu (viva la vegan burger was the best!), no complaints from our table! Thanks again for taking pictures for us aswell!

Excellent food and service, especially from our waiter brendon who was very attentive and funny. Would recommend this place to friends and family. Definitely will return!

Went to Frankie and Bennys for dinner , was a very warm welcome and the waiter Olly was Amazing so friendly and chatty even to our daughter. They was a section for vegan on both children’s menu and our menu

We were local so stopped here after booking a table in advance. We were seated straight away, it took a while for the orders to be taken, but we could see how busy they were. The food and drinks came out in good time and we were pleased with the meals, we both had steak and chips and enjoyed it. The staff were helpful and friendly and the price was reasonable.

Breakfast here used to be good but when we went a couple of months ago it was awful. The food was very very greasy and not well cooked and the loos were terrible. Sinks were filthy and one of the toilets had sick all over it. Don't really fancy going back now. Only good thing was the service.

Out with friends for a lovely catch up and had a lovely waitress called chantell looking after us . Very polite and helpful young lady .

I recently visited Frankie and Bennys with a couple of friends after years of not going and it will definitely be many years before I return. When we arrived the place was practically empty ( this was strange considering it was lunchtime).we were promptly shown to are table , given menus and ordered are drinks and food.when the drinks arrived they were not what we ordered , our lemonades were replaced with sparkling water and after much debate with are waiter these were changed.My friend ordered a £4 milkshake which consisted of mainly squirty cream and little milkshake.The food was of poor quality with pizza so salty it was virtually inedible with no sauce and a absurd amount of cheese.The burger I ordered was fairly bland and stingy with garnish. Overall it was poor value , poor quality and poor service , I will not be returning!

Visited here for dinner after spending the day out with friends and our children. Service was good but can’t say the same about the food. Very quick to come out which is brilliant but I ordered my daughter a small eaters plate of meatballs and as you can see from the picture I received a huge plate (which is very off putting for a two year old who isn’t a big eater) Firstly it came out as spaghetti bolognaise which I hadn’t ordered so when her meatballs came out they had just been splatted on top of what was previously on her plate. Very disappointing.

Came here for dinner and was served by Brendon, it was very busy but our waiter was very accommodating and nothing was ever an issue. All of the staff were very friendly especially Brendon, we was unsure which starters what to order and he gave us recommendations which were delicious! We will be returning very soon and ask for Brendon to serve us if possible!

We were seated very quickly considering we hadn’t booked on a Friday night, food was out quickly and was very good! Brendon our waiter was attentive and made sure everything was ok!

Came here for dinner before bowling and it was quite busy but they were very accommodating and couldn’t do enough for us. The staff were very friendly, we couldn’t decide on what to order and they gave us their recommendations which were amazing!! Can’t praise the staff and food enough!

Popped in for dinner on a sunday evening with work friends, after bowling. We had booked a table but were squished into a booth that was too small so one person had to perch on the end, which was disappointing given that we'd booked. Main menu says "gluten free options available" and when I asked the waiter which menu items were gluten free he went off and got a whole new menu, which I was pleased and suprised about. Food was nice, i had potato skins to start and steak for main. Others in the group seemed pleased with their food. We were able to use Tastecards so made it good value for money

Thought we would give them ago as hadn’t visited one of their restaurants in a number of years, well wish we hadn’t. The food was terrible, the starters were cold and tastless. Two of us had the the potato skins they were hardly even warm mainly potato with two tiny bits of bacon, not at all crispy and no cheese.
