Frankie & Benny's New York Italian Restaurant & Bar in Swindon

Went for a friends birthday meal, expected the worst as last time I was here was years ago back when I was little I’m now 21. I can gladly say it was really good! I ordered a cheeseburger with chips and every bit of the burger was delicious and the chips were spot on, ate the lot. Then for pudding I had brownie with ice cream and this was sickly but so good, didn’t manage to eat all of it due to how rich it was but still good. Overall I’d give this restaurant a 8.5/10

Absolutely shocking staff were rude to us from the moment we arrived whilst sat waiting we were made to feel very uncomfortable and then the food arrived which was not nice and when we asked for the bill we were asked cash or card which we replied cash and then the waitress was rude again and said are you paying or not sadly we won’t be eating here again

Food amazing, yummy as always but the companies biggest asset are their servers and Amy has been so lovely and nothing is too much trouble! Thank you Amy and head office need to give you a big bonus!!!!

Ordered a bird box delivery, chips were Luke warm, and the chicken burger was undercooked. Rang restaurant to complain and was told to complain through Uber eats or return the food?? Member of staff wasn’t particularly helpful.

Fantastic service ! Jenny is fantastic! As soon as we were seated Jenny came over and took our drinks order and let us gloss over the menu. Jenny advised me on the few questions I had on the menu. She even talked me into ups along the garlic bread to the cheese version omg it was awesome. The service throughout was outstanding and probably one of the most reasons I would return oh and the food was piping hot and delicious. I do however wish they made better desserts. The apple crumble was a little salty and soft no crunch. Well done Jenny and thank you so much again 👍🏻

Went here with a friend for dinner today. The service and food was excellent, as close as it gets to perfection. Our server and the other staff were welcoming, friendly, and attentive at all times. The staff were passionate about providing the the best dining experience, and that is certainly what we had today. For example, as one of our cokes happened to be a bit flat (which can happen anywhere), our server happily replaced it and apologised profusely. He made it not awkward in the slightest. The food was amazing, all 3 courses were delicious. Recommend the ribs, they tasted great and the portion size was very impressive and filling, much bigger than what you would get in other UK restaurants 9 times out of 10. Will definitely be returning soon and would recommend coming here for dinner, drinks, or both. You will not be disappointed.

My husband & I came here for breakfast. We haven’t visited this place in years, it used to be our favorite place, however over the years it went down hill, so we stopped coming. We decided to give breakfast a go & unfortunately it was a little disappointing- the pancakes weren’t very nice - neither was my hot chocolate. Years ago they did waffles which were delicious but unfortunately they weren’t on the menu. The waitress, ambiance & decor however all lovely. We may come for dinner one evening to see how that compares.

4 adults and 2 young children went here for the 1st time in a couple of years and the food was really really good. Pizza was amazing, bolognaise was good, dirty dog & chicken burger were all really tasty. Not sure why we stopped using this but the food was never this good, so may have won us back. Only 1 fault was the kids pasta was not good at all. Aleksandra our waitress was really helpful, attentive and worked very hard and is a credit to this restaurant.

Amy was fantastic and went above and beyond. We visited as a family and had a mixture of steaks to pasta to burgers. We had a few specific requirements and changes to one of the meals, Amy made a note of these and even came back a few moments later to make sure there were no other changes we hadn’t thought of (seasoning on the steak, mushrooms in a bowl on the side). The food came out perfect! My Nan can be a little bit particular at times and she even said that she was super impressed and loved every bite! We were celebrating my sisters birthday but didn’t mention this to the staff. Amy noticed she was opening gifts and bought out a pudding and everyone sang happy birthday, which was super thoughtful! 10/10 service, Amy honestly made our visit amazing!

We often visit F&B for breakfast and meals and always receive wonderful service, especially from Amy and Matt. The General Manager is also friendly, which is not always a factor in other eating places. All the staff, bar one young girl, always have a smile on their face. The food is very good and they will amend your order (within reason) as to what you would prefer, different potato type at breakfast, swap items, just ask them, it probably will not be a problem, if they can, they will. They will amend your main meal as well, burger without a bun no problem, corn and no coleslaw no problem. Just ask them.

Myself and a few other family members visited for a birthday this week and I definitely won't be rushing back... Overall the service was just very slow, although the servers were very good and knowledgeable when they did get to us. The food was pretty poor for somewhere that calls themselves a "New York Italian" because I've been to both countries and this food was something I'd expect served up in a local pub, it was just a pretty poor effort based on what they market themselves as and what they charge, so sadly I won't be going back.

Booking for a birthday party, large family 12+ a high chair, booked well in advance of the date, yet on arrival are told not a big enough table to accommodate us, the only one suitable is occupied!! Ended up sitting across 3 booths. Extremely poor response from the ‘manager’ who said they cannot guarantee everyone is sat together upon booking!! (Not stated at the time otherwise would have eaten elsewhere!) then with very little accountability repeatedly says ‘I didn’t take the booking!’ Poor show. Insincere and incompetent management.

Highly recommended for a great breakfast and customer service. Value for money ina relaxed and pleasant environment. Food tasty and beautifully presented

My daughter wanted to come here for her 11th birthday as it’s tradition to come here for her birthdays we had a lovely meal and our waitress Nikola was so warm and friendly. My daughters who are 8 and 11 remarked on how lovely she was they were really impressed. Thank you Nikola for making my girls evening ! Oh and mine for telling me I looked younger than I am 😄
