Frankie and Bennies in Birmingham

I come here every week for either breakfast or lunch with my husband, however with the current work going on with the car park we’ve given it a miss for a while. We went back yesterday and we won’t be coming back for our weekly visits. We usually do the two course which costs £14 and is a bargain, however, this has now been taken away and replaced with a lunch menu and you pay separate for each item. If a change in price is being made you should at least tweak the food you are providing to make it worth while. 3 pieces of chicken strips £7.95 and £9.95 for a wrap and chips, a wrap with a little bit of leaf, sauce and not even 2 chicken strips thrown in. It was not worth £18. Go next door to the harvester and have unlimited salad and the rotisserie chicken meal for £16 - much better!

Visited here for breakfast. Waitress serving me was very pleasant and welcoming. I ordered the Beef Brisket Hash (Potato tots loaded with beef brisket, fried red onions, topped with fried eggs & red chilli sauce) which cost £11.95 When it arrived the dish was a lot smaller than i imagined. Think starter size! The eggs looked good, but once i moved them to the side to see the beef brisket, it was literally equivalent to a small pinch. Whilst the food was hot and what i had tasted nice, the portion size and lack of beef brisket for £11.95 is seriously over priced.

The bolognese tasted nothing like any I’ve ever tasted before, no tomato flavour at all. The calzone had no tomato inside, instead we were given a small bowl of tomato for the top. We certainly won’t be back.

Visited on Wednesday 28th August around 9pm, family of 5. Fantastic server called Cameron. Would come back again because of him. Food was great. Shame about the work going on out front as you could think it's not open. Not many people inside.

Mum wanted to treat me to dinner and it had been a while since my last visit so I chose Frankie’s, it’s always a safe bet. Service from Ali was fantastic and the food was spot on. The only negative is seeing such a reduction in the menu, that being said, even as a fussy eater, I still managed to find something to suit my taste. They were short on staff at the time of our visit but that did not in any way affect our experience, so a big thank you to everyone.

The 2 for 1 deal was great value and the double bacon cheeseburger was really nice! The hot wings & sweet potato fries were also very good. Our lovely server Kymani was friendly and provided excellent service. Unfortunately the meat feast pizza was average, so I would recommend going for the other options.

Frankie & Benny’s has been one of our go-to restaurants for years, however from our most recent visit, it has gone downhill. I was very disappointed to see that the Spaghetti Pomodoro has been removed from the menu, and the Mac & Cheese is no longer vegetarian!! Those were my two favourite dishes and being a vegetarian, there is often such limited choice at most restaurants. F&Bs seem to be following in the same footsteps sadly. I now cannot have a vegetarian pasta dish at Frankie & Benny’s because the only option is Arrabiata, however I am unable to tolerate spice so this is a non-starter. I opted for sides instead, which wasn’t ideal. The mozzarella sticks were nice, but very overpriced at over £7 for 5 small pieces! Had to wait several minutes extra for the mashed potato to arrive - sadly, it was not worth the wait at all, being dry and tasteless. Sweet potato fries and fries we shared were nice and reasonably priced. Margherita pizzas tasted nice, but seem to have shrunk in size. Less desserts on the menu now which is a shame. All of the other deserts for the table were brought over together, whereas again I had to wait several extra minutes for mine (Biscoff milkshake). This was nice, but expensive at nearly £6 and not enough Biscoff flavour. Service was decent. Toilets were fine apart from poor-quality loo roll. The ambience in the restaurant was nice, which does make it a decent place overall for a family meal.

We've visited this place on 8-10 times. Love F&B's! Their meal choice is great and it's a lovely place for food. Margaretta Pizza, Chicken Burgers and Carbonara are spot on! The Biscoff Banaa Waffle is delicious! They allow Student discount but need to do more offers for regular customers. Real good value for money. 9/10

Had a great lunch in this Frankie’s . The food was delicious and a lot of it ! Nice atmosphere and very , friendly attentive staff . Our waiter Michael was very helpful and professional. Good value and Shiraz wine was very good . Will be back again for sure !

Came here a couple days ago with a few mates for a couple drinks and some food! Food was great and the service was fantastic. Shout out to I think my waitress named Aimee. She was lovely!

As always, a lovely visit. This time we took my nephew and the team were great with him, interacting and made him feel special. We only popped in for a quick bite, shared a pizza and some sides, Our server was Dan and he was very attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. Just a shame we didn’t have time for dessert. Thank you for your warm hospitality, we’ll be back again soon!

great girly catch up with friends, had great service from Samantha who kept the cocktails flowing and helped us choose some fab items from the menu. would reccomend

Came for some dinner with friends after shopping and it was such a lovely evening and we was quite surprised at how much we enjoyed ourselves. Your staff at this restaurant are incredible in a way where they make your experience so much better. From the moment we walked in we was greeted with a lovely big smile. Different servers and managers would come over all very chatty and friendly and a great team at this site. Food was lovely and fresh.

Really great authentic service. Had pizzas and a selection of sides and everyone really enjoyed it. Fab menu and the newly decorated restaurant looks great with a great atmosphere.

Another lovely visit, my mum has decided this is her new favourite for taking me out for a bite to eat. Yes, it’s expensive but we’ve never had a bad experience. On our most recent visit we were served by Cam who was friendly, attentive and very well mannered. Everything was served in perfect time with no wait for anything. My only disappointment was the Dough Balls are no longer on the menu 😢

Server was great. On reflection, the food portions were small, very low quality and therefore astoundingly expensive! That is the last time we will visit Frankie and Bennys.

Staff were nice and attentive but unfortunately most of the food was cold with one sent back, but tasty, even the kids pasta was cold. Did show my MOD card for the 20% discount but only valid on certain days, will not be returning.

Great experience as always, can’t fault the place. The team are always very friendly and welcoming. Big thank you on this visit to Kate and Katie, they looked after us from start to finish and nothing was too much trouble. The food was great, even with the reduced menu! Glad to see the Chicken Parmigiana is back now, I’ll be having that on my next visit! Something to suit everyone and a great environment to enjoy a meal with friends or family.

Expensive for what it was, was basically a pub grub meal at twice the price. The burger (chicken and halloumi) the chicken was covered in black bits as if the grill hadn't been cleaned and the halloumi was so thin and deep fried you couldn't even tell it was cheese. Overall I would have had a better meal at a sizzler/hungry horse at half the price

The half rack of ribs not worth £15.90. Better off going next door to The Harvester for ribs, refillable soft drinks and salad bar.

Greated well, very attentive staff .... to begin with. We ordered drinks, ordered food and were served our half rack of ribs and chicken pasta dish in less than 10 minutes. The chicken was well cooked, very tender and well presented. The pasta was luke warm at best. The ribs were not worth the money. The rib meet tasted good and was presented well, but very dry and could almost be mistaken for a microwave meal. We used to love F&B and I know you need to go with the times but there was no atmosphere, no old school new York photos lining the wall giving a talking point - just plain chain restaurant. After asking us if we wanted anything else and replied no, we then waited for a further 25 minutes for the bill. No waiting staff made eye contact with is throughout this whole period and when I asked the waiter for the bill he told me to hang on a minute - as if 25 minutes wasn't enough? Lucky we didn't just walk out like some woild have! I didn't feel the need to read the reviews before as we have had many a good date night with F&B, but as said in other reviews the staff did like a good chat at the serving hatch/bar. Our first dates were at F&B so chose to go here and after travelling 30 minutes (bearing in mind how close Hickorys is!), we left dissatisfied and disappointed. We dont have child free nights very often, so needless to say we won't be having anymore at Frankie and Bennys!

Amazing! The team and food were fabulous. We don’t visit very often but we are always made to feel welcome. The new menu is much smaller but even as a fussy eater I found something that I thoroughly enjoys. Massive thank you to all and I wish you luck in the year to come. Poor slow service, the staff do like a good gossip at the bar , they did ask if we were ok but that’s about it . The food is ok but over priced .

We stopped for dinner on our way home after a day trip to Birmingham during October half term. Staff were very attentive & friendly. We took advantage of the “Adult eats free” half term offer so we only paid for one kids meal & one other adult meal. The food was great. We don’t have any Frankie & Benny’s near us any more so it was nice to have a treat to remind us of all of past memories of eating out there.

Not normally a fan of chain places, and was somewhat forced to come with my partner, however was pleasantly surprised food offered a great choice and proved tasty too. The best thing though by far was the service genuine hospitality, and not just our waitress but everyone we came into contact with was especially friendly and professional. No hesitation in recommending.

Great atmosphere and staff. Unfortunately we had an undercooked starter which we sent back and was replaced. The worse part was one of our mains (pizza) had a visible hair on it. When challenged, they replaced the pizza with a cold one which didn't solve our issue. We asked the manager why one of their chefs does not wear a hair net / covering on his beard and she replied that he was not required to (pretty sure he is). They did comp the food but I still don't think we will be coming back.

Popped into Frankie and Benny’s at the Fort Shopping Centre to try the new menu, while doing a bit of shopping. Being a mushroom fan I tried the Mushroom Alfredo and wasn’t disappointed. My waitress Lauren was pleasant and friendly.

Went for Lunch with a friend, I’m a coeliac so needed to order for the Gluten Free menu. Plenty of items to choose from, quick service and extremely friendly staff. Money was our waiter and he was great. Had to send my pasta back as it wasn’t cooked properly but staff were quick to put it right. Will be back. Also hygiene standards for allergy’s is best I’ve seen in any restaurant!

I previously came for breakfast and wasn't the greatest fan of the sausages to say the least a year or so ago but what a difference. I have to admit I reluctantly entered as the harvester was being refurbished but the service and food was excellent would certainly come back again.

We came here for our monthly catch up and it was so lovely! The food was amazing, 100% recommend the cannelloni!! It’s amazing for vegetarians as there is so much choice!

Always busy but I still always receive great service and lovely food! Servers are always friendly and happy to help, the cocktails always hit the spot - they do the best cosmopolitan! Love the variety of foods and it's one of my top places to go for breakfast!

The atmosphere was good with great music. The restaurant was busy, even on a Wednesday evening, but there was still plenty of tables free, so we weren't crammed in. The food was really good and the service was excellent. I feel that our waitress Sam deserves a special mention, she was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel very special.

Me and my husband went here for dinner and it's was lovely, food was perfect service was amazing thanks to Samantha, she was kind, always happy to help nothing was a problem and very friendly towards my 8 month old little one, Samantha has served me a few times and always makes the experience more enjoyable and makes us want to go back again. We have never had a bad meal here we love it here.

Food was absolutely brill! Freshly cooked and steak was cooked perfectly. Ally was absolutely brilliant, well mannered and very helpful looked after us our whole visit. Didnt wait long for food which is a bonus, all staff very friendly overall a great visit!

My daughter and I went here on 10th August for her 18th birthday food and cocktails. Service was excellent staff friendly and helpful food was amazing, will definitely come back.

First time we’ve have been to F&B; in a long time, but we will definitely be back soon! We were greeted and seated straight away and not long after, served by Sam. Nice ambience, decent food for the money, and Amy is the best waitress in Birmingham, no question :) I go there a few times a month, sometimes with customers, and get treated like a VIP. Always enjoy the experience.

We live local and get offers all the time, so we visit from time to time and the food is nearly always perfect and the staff are great too, any little issues you may have are sorted on the spot, very friendly and lovely food
