We ate here on bank holiday Sunday so was very busy. But the staff were very attentive and got us a table quickly. The food was lovely and the staff were great. We will definitely eat here again.

Best Italian food. Casual dining so great for a midweek option! Always my go to. They only do reservations for large groups, and don’t take small group bookings- just turn up (I would recommend 20mins before u want to be seated as there can sometimes be a wait) Plenty of space at the bar to grab a drink when you arrive!

Very impressed. We arrived late on a Bank Holiday Monday but still the staff were friendly and relaxed, the food excellent and good value. Will be back when next in the area 😊

100% well over rated Service is totally unperfeshanaul rude lady on phone. To start they don't take booking for 8 people..... advised me to just come down and there won't be any problems for all of us to stand in a cramped bar area with 37 other more customers with no seats we all may had well be sat on each other knees or gone should of gone to a pub to sit in a bar wile everyone drinks beer for then to wait an hour, to still not get a table was just unaccessible ended up leaving going to Marino's what run a amazing service staff are over welcoming really need to take notice couldn't compare in the slightest keep away!!!!!!...... I'll pay your bill if you dnt get a better experience and food that's how confident I am...

We visit quite often and it never disappoints! Staff always very pleasant and friendly, it seems they haven't really changed for ages as I always see the same faces which is nice and proves the place treats the staff well which probably contributes greatly to the amazing atmosphere they always create. :) Food always spot on at reasonable prices. 5* for everything, if I could I would give even more ;) especially that we have been regularly visiting since at least 2016/2017 and they have never left us disappointed.

Lovely little italian, loads of character with beam lined ceilings, and a cottage vibe. Ordered drinks at the bar upon entering and were told our table was ready after 5 mins. We weren't shown to our table, we were just left to guess which table was ours.. little unprofessional.. we sat at wrong table and were told to move to another table. It was quite cramped as it's not a huge place but it felt authentic being in a cottage style building. We had the 3 course set menu. Garlic bread and cheese was really good, stuffed mushrooms I found to be bland and earthy. Main I had was mushroom tortellini in a Bolognese and cream sauce. It was very rich, couldn't eat too much of it. Ice cream for dessert was very refreshing and light, excellent ice cream. All in all a good visit, nothing blew me away but it was pleasant and a reasonable price.

I booked Francos for my 40th birthday celebrations with over 50 guests. Francos opened 2 hours early to accommodate our party and were brilliant from start to finish. The food and service were fantastic and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is also reasonably priced.

This is a great place to come for a pizza or any Italian food, the quality is high, you may have to wait a short while to get a table but it’s well worth the wait. They have nice staff too and the food is very good I would definitely recommend this place to have something to eat.

We dined here at 5pm on a Sunday to celebrate my grandson’s second birthday. There were 9 of us consisting of 7 adults, a 2 year old and a 3 year old. The wait to be seated was minimal but they had no high chairs. We eventually did get a couple about half hour later but they obviously need to buy some more…after all it is a family restaurant! The waiting time between courses was reasonable given how busy it was and we were always topped up with drinks. Some of our family had been here before but it was my first time. I found the prices to be reasonable except for the different garlic bread’s which can be as much as £6.10. The food was piping hot and of a very good quality, and the service was great too. Overall I would recommend this restaurant and no doubt we will all be returning soon

Busy on a Friday night, lots of big parties, birthdays and families. Yet the orders were collected and delivered promptly by very patient and personable servers. The Garlic Tiger Prawns were fab and I absolutely adored the Montanaro pizza... Speck, Stilton and Rocket. "Francos for dinner on Friday?" "Yes Please"!!! Be prepared to join in with all the Happy Birthdays 👍🏾

Really accommodating staff with our young child. Excellent food and speed of service. Excellent value for money. Going early on a Sunday was good timing for lunch as it filled up by 1.30. Also let us take one of our puddings home so win win.

Great pizza at good value! This place is the best gluten free pizza in Preston & surrounding areas so says my girlfriend so it’s great we can get something that suits us both. The chicken wings and sweet chilli sauce hit the spot too 👌

Been a few times for takeaway. Always a friendly experience. The food is made while I wait and come out hot. The pizzas are stone baked and amazing. Chips are also very good. Would recommend it to anyone. They also have a good selection of drinks while i wait. 10/10

Great place to have an authentic Italian Meal. Barbara, Luigu and staff are all very friendly . We think their Garlic Bread is the best ! This week I had a fabulous Pescatore Pizza and my friend had Chicken Diane. We had a good bottle of Pinot Grigio. The food is always tasty and is great value. My adult children who live away always want to visit when home!

Went teatime Sunday. Very busy but fit us in after a 10 minute wait. Had 2 great meals off the a la Carte but they do a great 3 course option on Sunday for £17.95. Good choices. Great value. 2 large birthday parties in but no problems. This has got to be one of the best family orientated restaurants around. 👍

Really great authentic Italian. We went on a Sunday evening and it was very busy but we got a table within half an hour. They do a three course Sunday menu for £20.95 which is such good value and the food was excellent. Mushrooms are delicious. The salmon with prawns in a tomato sauce was so good with a generous portion of vegetables. We couldn’t manage dessert but took it home. Will definitely be back.

Extremely good food at reasonable prices. Authentic Italian cooking at it's best. If you are in the area and looking for somewhere to eat, you would be mad not to try Francos. Get there early for a full choice off the specials board. I can recommend the crevettes !!

First of all got to be one of the worst Italian restaurants been in this year and i have been in some bad ones around blackpool/ Preston area !!! Ordered the Mexican garlic bread 😂 probably best thing i had that night , antipasti was like a 5 year old had mafe with raw chunks of onion, bread Will stale and just absolutely dry with cured meat hard in some places due to not being properly stored, main meal was just shocking both got tortellini pasta was so overcooked with no taste whatsoever I have to be honest if you got serve this food in Italy, it would probably be shot if I were you. Stay well clear cuz it's absolutely shocking and that's an honest review

We do like this place, prefer to park on the road though further down as it’s very hard to see when coming out of the car park Staff are all lovely and friendly and nice atmosphere We had the pate which comes with a full size garlic bread which we shared and the 2 main course pasta dishes were huge I didn’t actually like mine as it was far too hot with chilli but that was my fault for choosing it Traditional Italian style inside and prices average Will return when in the area again

Franco’s is a very popular place on the outskirts of Preston… we needed to go to see what the fuss was about, they don’t take bookings unless it’s large party so we turned up anyhow, expected to wait but didn’t quite expect it to 65 minutes until we were seated. We were starving, luckily the food and drinks didn’t take as long but it was very off putting having to wait that long, therefore glad we tried it but would not return based on wait times for seating. Food was average, nothing I couldn’t get at another Italian nearby for the same price and quality.

Food: Focus is more around quantity than quality. Pasta sauces were very bland, saving grace was the garlic bread which was very good. Service: Waiting staff seemed to have tables they were serving constantly and we were inevitably ignored. I had to raise my hand or get their attention every time to order more dinks or food. Place was at 1/4 capacity at most so I'm not sure if this was intentional. Atmosphere: Beautiful place, with a real authentic Italian feel, pizza oven central to the restaurant where you can watch them being made fresh.

We visited here for a family gathering of 18 of us and Francos accommodated us with no problems. As we were such a large party there was a request from Francos that we attend our booking at 17:30 which we were happy to accommodate. Upon arrival we were seated and ordered drinks and ordered food not long after. The service was excellent and we wasn't waiting long for our drinks and meals. In fact, we didn't really notice any time passing between courses the staff were super efficient. Every dish was complimented on as being tasty, fresh and hot. The only negative, and it is a very rare observation, was that the pasta meals were quite large. Not everyone could finish thier meals due to the size but it meant that everyone left fulfilled. My only niggle with the Pollo Crema was the chicken was a little dry but the sauce sorted that out. Excellent restaurant and we look forward to coming back. Thanks!

Small but friendly. The service was 100% friendly staff and very attentive. We went as a party of 11 and everything food wise was on point. No complaints from us and will definitely be going back. This has to be one of my favourite Italian restaurants.

Chicken livers were awful😖 veg was even worse not edible,Peppercorn and Diane sauce awful 😢 The attitude of the owner when trying to explain why was also shocking 😲 £200 spent the food that some couldn't be eaten 😡used to be my favourite Italian restaurant 😢Won't ever go back now

This place is fantastic. Simple. Second to none in the area for gluten free pizza and pizza. Also serve GF peroni which is always a bonus!

There are very few places in Preston I feel that I can recommend for a great meal as many places are inconsistent. Francos has always been 5 star and I often highly recommend it. The last couple of visits however have been slightly disappointing. I don't want this to be a complaint but an honest review and feedback for the restaurant. On calling ahead to book a table we've been told on 2 occasions now just to walk in and that they don't take reservations, under a certain number (9 I think) but this time there were 8 of us. We walked in at 6.30 and the place was mobbed, we just about got through the door. I didn't know if people were waiting to enter or leave. We were told it would be about 20-30 mins. This was quite a wait and my party weren't happy but were willing to wait hoping it would only be 20 mins. I won't breakdown the whole evening into time slots but my point is I don't think it works for staff nor customers not being able to book a table as nobody was happy, my party were complaining the whole way through- constantly waiting for orders to be taken, starters to come, mains to come. We had to ask 3 times for water which came towards end of the meal. Our mains were served at 8.30 which was honestly too late for me to want to be eating, we took the pizza orders home. The food on this occasion was just okay, not quite to the usual standard, the staff rushed off their feet, some cutlery was dirty. I feel the staff and level if customer service was good, they were doing their best but i dont think it helps having a system in place where they dont know how many people are due at any one time. All in all, it was a stressful, rushed experience.

The best pizza in longridge and still at affordable prices. Been coming here since I was a tolder and I would say francos is the Gold standard for small town family run Italian restaurants. It's cheap and cheerful and doesn't disappoint.

Visited for my boyfriend’s birthday with him and his family. His parents are vegetarian and I am a coeliac, and we were all catered for well. Gluten free garlic bread was amazing. Service great, especially from one of the girls Nicole, who brought out a birthday plate for my boyfriend 😊

The menu and specials and Also the Sunday specials are extensive and offer a vast variety of choices. The minestrone soup and garlic bread are superb. Polo and Filetto and vegetables excellent food. The strawberry meringue ice cream dessert was delicious. On the second visit the Sunday lunch was extremely reasonable in price for the courses. The Apple pie gets a 10 ! The roast beef gets a 10! Very good service genuinely happy smiling staff to go with delicious food and prices. You can't book unless it's for a larger group and it does get busy but ample car parking to the rear. I think it's the best Italian restaurant in which I have eaten, from a food point of view. It possibly needs a little updating but that's minor in comparison with the atmosphere.

Yeah, alright, I was surprised. Absolutely brilliant. Great food, proper portions... What's not to like? And still brilliant.

Our first time here and what a pleasant experience. Four of us arrived on a Saturday at around 1800 and were seated almost immediately. Greeted by amazingly friendly staff and looked after very well by the bar person. We had two kids meals, Calzone and Cannelloni... plus the biggest bowl of olives we have ever seen!! 🫒 We will definitely be returning again soon 🍕🍝🍷

First time here this Sunday lunchtime. Good car parking off road. This establishment is much bigger inside than it appears from the outside. We received a warm welcome and the service that we received from everyone was excellent. Good pint of Peroni on draught. Garlic breaded mushrooms and a minestrone soup for starters were good. The mushroom pizza was excellent, the lasagne was plentiful, full of flavour and plenty of meat in it, delicious. Finished off with a tasty apple pie and tiramisu, truly stuffed. We don't really do three courses nowadays but we took advantage of the three course special for £21 a head, but had to pace ourselves but we were not rushed at all. We will certainly return when next in the area.

My favourite restaurant in Lancashire. Very relaxed atmosphere yes extremely professional on the service level. The food is simply delightful and I would recommend the Calamari starter and the cannelloni and lasagna for magnificent authentic Italian food. Oh and the peroni is spot on too 👌

Love this restaurant. The food is always spot on, service always good (even in busy times) and all the staff make you feel welcome. We go probably once a month and would recommend the Tortellini Barbara, cheese garlic bread, tomato garlic bread, salami pizza, spaghetti Bolognese, and stuffed mushrooms to name a few. My only gripe is that you cannot book in advance so I recommend going early to avoid waiting for a table.

Shocking. Ordered a couple of pizzas. Was told would be ready in 1 hour to pick up. Got there after 1 hour. Had to wait for another 1 hour until ready. 2 hours for 2 pizzas. Shocking as was a treat for my sins birthday. Never go here

New to the area so thought we’d try the local Italian. Heard mixed reviews about the place, told it can be hit and miss. Food was disappointing, pizza was ok. Service was good, lots of staff to boss out meals. Atmosphere was a bit pub like with a mixed bag of people. Despite it being reasonably priced, I personally would not return because the food was so bad.

Family run Italian, can't recommend this place enough. Never had a bad experience, always friendly, always as helpful as can be. Only down side is because they are so good they are very popular. 💯 %
