Found Hope Store in Lewisham

Love this place… the staff are always friendly welcoming, and know their products well (coffee beans to buy, especially!) - There are always some new delicious baked treats to try. The Apricot and Peanut flapjack was unexpectedly phenomenal! Also, there was a fair-haired lady barista working yesterday who made my oat flat-white, and dang… she’s got skill! - Best coffee I’ve had from there (and a lot of other places too). 10/10

A couple of days ago my husband bought a steak , sealed in vacuum bag , the date was hand written 04/12/2024 , so my husband decided to cook it now but when he opened the bag the awfully disgusting smell came out , so clearly the dating is wrong which I find very important if you sell food

This is a truly fantastic independent local deli that we are lucky to have on the local high-street. They have a very well curated range of products with some lovely fresh meats, amazing cheeses and a selection of cakes, pastries and fresh breads. They also make some amazing home-made sausage rolls, sandwiches and have daily specials of salads and soups / stews. Well done to Billy & team - love your shop!

This is a fantastic shop, and it's a great shop to have in the community. They sell a lot of fresh products. They have homemade things, and most importantly, they have good coffee. They have quite a lot of other businesses in the local area, including the pub. Just next door drink at bobs And also in ladywell Park I could carry on going on how fabulous this place is But I won't

So glad to have this shop/deli nearby. The lunch options are always interesting and made with great ingredients; and I love being able to get high-end Natoora produce without ordering online. Not to mention the well curated wine selection. Staff very helpful and friendly, too.

My partner bought two muffins earlier today. I'm afraid they were stale, not fluffy and not as nice as those we bought a while. Clearly they weren't fresh - and despite this, he paid full price for each. They should be reduced.

I've always liked the store but unfortunately lately, I've found it seems to be slipping down hill. Lately over the weekends the only time I can go in, unless you go in first thing half the stock runs out, the prices seem to be creeping up continuously and unfortunately there bread seems to be getting worse. I've been in a couple of times and each time it always seems to be either dry, so almost a few days old and dry or even stale.

This market/deli has a wonderful selection of food. The food is very high quality and mostly produced in the UK. The prices are good for the quality. I had two takeout meals and they were both delicious and house made. I had a potato and asparagus salad and a pesto, cheese, tomato sandwich. There are two tables outside. I had a latte there and it was excellent.

I do love this shop but when you pay 3 pounds for a bag of spinach only to find it’s full of half blackened, slimy leaves, it does annoy one somewhat. Rather conveniently there seems to be no best before on the bag either.

They really know how to make a good sandwich 😊

My absolute favourite gem in Hither Green. Amazing selection of food, coffee is superb and the staff are the friendliest.

Excellent quality products although many of them are at a premium price. However, I always feel like I have left with a good item. It's a great addition to the HG community.

Ridiculously overpriced. I popped down last Sunday to pick up some Veg for the soup. Paid 1£ for one medium parsnip and 1£ for two medium size carrots. The other day I was looking for a fennel bulb but when I say 10£ per kg price tag I decided to give it a miss. Yes, it is tasty. Yes, they have a nice selection but it is ridiculously overpriced.

Such an amazing place. Superb food and a deli offering of the best produce around. Must visit.

If anyone thought about getting the pre cooked lamb meal for Easter and didn’t, you missed a real treat. The lamb shank, with the most delicious gravy was full of flavour, the new potatoes and tomato relish were absolutely wonderful. Any chance of disclosing the recipe for that gravy guys? Will definitely be enjoying more food from you in future.

Had such a lovely evening at this Found Hope Spring wine tasting. It felt so special, and the wines lived up to the beautiful 'notes' promised. The food (also supplied and sold in Found Hope Store) was utterly delicious. The service and friendly banter of the staff made the evening. We will certainly be booking up for the next one!

Fantastic shop, with a great mix of local produce, some even made in store. We ended up getting some peach jam, some cinnamon and raisin peanut butter and some pastries, all of which were fabulous. I also had a coffee while I browsed, which out of nowhere happened to be some of the nicest coffee I've ever had. An absolute treasure of a shop, it came heartily recommended and I can only recommend it in turn.

Excellent fresh produce, sandwiches, stews, pastries etc. The fresh and cured meats in particular are very good.

Best deli lunches for miles around. The shop is good for boozy, meaty, cheesy or sweet treats too.

This is a great looking shop, with some good bread, but it’s hard to imagine why it’s so expensive.. lovely staff, mind, so the whole experience isn’t too bad!

Bought a coffee from here and got dirty look from the manager and rudely told wait outside the shop. First experience as a black person feeling what segregation was like. Also the ginger cake and banana were awful imitations from my home country. Like the already expensive ginger beer is just sugar water with something that tastes almost like ginger inside it. Other than that all the other staff members were lovely.

Great shop serving high quality products and a good range given the size. It’s evident that they go the extra mile to source high quality products. This shop is very complementary to the existing shops in the area.

Great coffee, nice selection of pastries and breads. Lots of craft beer and cocktails. The pantry section is also well stocked and good quality.

Reaaaally good coffee! Friendly service and quality produce. As for the prices, they are no higher than a similar type of shop in London. Will return!

Some of the products are great (deluxe hot chocolate) some are average (my pastry didn't taste fresh) but the owner/manager is very responsive to feedback. He got in touch and offered a refund and apologised for the pastry not tasting fresh. They are keen to get feedback and improve. I still think the products are expensive otherwise would rate it higher.

Just popped in here and brought the vegetable dhal and vegan hot chocolate. Oh my gosh so glad I stopped!!! So delicious! Will definitely return!

I love this place. It is expensive but the quality is worth it and I go for treats whenever I want to feel like I live in a great little community because this place works hard for good causes, the owners and staff rock and I just appreciate their hard work and tasty items sticking the shelves.

Don't get me wrong - I LOVE a bit of bouji shop action, but be on your A-game to make sure you get good value for money on the items in this shop - it's a real mixed bag in terms of how they price stuff - I don't think a lot of the items represent value (value here meaning 'worth what they cost', as opposed to generally expensive). The fresh meats are really good, and good value for money - BUT a of of other dry goods are literally double what you will pay two minutes up the road. I'm all for shopping locally, and not lining "the corps" pockets, but when for example, a bottle of Tobasco is £2.50 in other shops, and a FIVER (a 100% mark up) in this place, they make it very hard to make that choice. The prices can be very over inflated for certain things, to the point I can't rationalise it. I like the products in the shop, but tend to select what I buy carefully, or I feel ripped off. So, generally a good selection, nice staff and good coffee - but product mark ups defy fairness.

Well stocked shop for cooks and foodies.

I wandered in this morning, like so many other lost soles; pockets jangling with excess cash accumulated in the bread vacuum since Good Food has closed for 3 weeks. The bread was excellent but then it better be for £5.50. The wine guy was out on a break and so I had to self serve, couldn't work out how it was organised (don't think it was) but found a decent white burgundy in the end. They had me for 26 quid there. I drew the line at getting myself a beer as well after the unpriced can I selected turned out to be £5. For one. Cinnamon buns were the best I've had locally, better than Arlo and Mo's and better than Good Food. Service was solid (apart from the wine thing) and they were nice to my kid. Not bad, 3 woofs.

Some good produce but unbelievably overpriced (£5 for half a slice of watermelon = £60 for a whole melon 😂) Also scrutinise your receipt. If I hadn't asked for it and checked it I would have walked out paying £8 too much and being none the wiser. Let's hope it was just an honest mistake eh?

This is my local, I go in all the time. Staff are 10/10. The food+coffee they serve is delicious, seasonal and really varied.

This place is a gem. Built on a true passion for food and the community. From incredible deli counter, Neil’s yard cheese, coffee beans, amazing butcher meet , bakery, local cocktails, beer and wine .. I could go on but I just say go and enjoy. Their freshly made soups and stews are a working from home treat, and the icing on the cake is as a coeliac family they sell THE BEST gluten free sour dough we have ever tasted. Oh and did I mention how lovely all the staff are ?! Go explore you won’t be disappointed 🌟

I am learning to how to become a Chef in the kitchen. I am still doing nice coffees for the most gentle and polite customers who are really hopeful while greeting. Especially my colleagues and managers who helped me even more and makes me so happy and cheerful. I am good at body language and have good communication skills, speaking and listening as loud as you can hear the customers. I enjoyed working at the café because it's my passion and it helps me grow even stronger as I have good comment on my relationship.
