Really enjoyed the roast dinner. Very reasonable price very tasty and good portions. Staff very helpful and friendly

Popped in for lunch with my daughter and it was amazing, the prices are so good, the quality of food is fantastic and the lady serving us was so friendly and kind, we will definitely be returning and also highly recommend.

Misleading use of the word dog friendly on the website, leads you to believe there's a section at least inside that is dog friendly, when in actual fact it's just the beer garden, suppose not an issue during the summer but not the most desirable place to sit this time of year. I'd advise updating your website as not to mislead anyone else.

30/07/24 The second time eating here. I had the macaroni cheese with garlic bread and salad. For pudding, I had Jam roly poly pudding with custard. Both were absolutely amazing. The lady behind the bar was very friendly x

Excellent in all aspects Sunday roast outstanding

A great carpark right outside which is very handy , ans then on the walk up to the door there is 2 stunning gentleman painted on the windows which gives you a warm welcome , inside the service was great and the food even better. I would highly recommend

Normally not a bad little boozer with not bad food but I think the barmaid was having a bad day when we were in yesterday. Her sarcastic " your welcome" reply to a thank you as we were going to the beer garden was unnecessary. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt that she was having a bad day.

Went in to try out the new menu.I went for the salt and Pepper chicken and the other half had the flat bread. Both were piping hot and tasty. Then tried out the desserts lava cookie, the blondie and caramelised cheese cake again desserts were tasty and finished the lot. This all washed down with some Guinnes. Get yourself down to try out the new dishes on the menu.

New menu and still the same quality of lovely food, always great service.

A wee hidden gem. Food was great and Theresa was tremendous! Would come back a second time just to see Theresa. She really makes you feel welcome and is so friendly with a great sense if humour. Will definitely return to this place!

Got refused for a cola as we didn’t have ID which is fair enough for alcohol but for a soft drink? Woman in charge clearly had an issue from when we walked in as she asked if we were in for food or drink and we said drinks and she just turned around in and ignored us in a huff. Woman in charge clearly just looking to have an issue. Our group were 25+ absolute joke

Came in after my baby shower with my friends and was refused water and a coke because we didn’t have ID? Never heard this rule before and went to the lord of the isles where we were all served without ID. My mum works in a pub and also said that this isn’t a rule. Was told we were allowed a soft drink if we ordered food? So ordering a bowl of chips made us over 18? Never heard anything so stupid in my life. A woman with short haired stood at the bar staring at us the full time we were in. First and last time I’ll be in there. It was four in the afternoon and we were refused SOFT DRINKS despite being 25 years old. Didn’t take ID out as we weren’t drinking and didn’t think it would matter and it hasn’t mattered with Wetherspoons. Worst pub in Renfrew

is this pub ever opened. my friend phoned up to book a table and got told she would have to go into the pub to do so when she went she got told we don't open up till 12.30pm and the person on the phone was really rood to her. this place used to be great to go to and always open

Need ID to come for dinner apparently despite both being way over 21. With our child. Woman on the front nothing but rude, wont ever be back here

So angry about the way my niece and great niece were treated last night. They were refused service for 2 hot chocolates and a portion of chips for the wee one!!! The back of 5pm, place quite, they were refused head office details and shunned. The customers in the place tried to back them up but to no avail. My great niece is autistic and has a limited palate!! This was explained, but had to leave as they were not being accommodating to them. I have been in hospitality all my days and I would never treat a customer like that!!! Raging as my great niece was crying. Hope yer proud of yourselves.

Incredibly awful experience during my first visit here last night. Went in at around 5pm with my 10 year-old to get out out the cold. Tried to order hot chocolates and chips and was told my daughter couldn't stay while having just chips. Explained my daughter was autistic and was really limited with food, and there was nowhere else open nearby, but we were refused service. They said chips alone did not constitute a meal and she'd have to order from the kids menu. The manager and employee were Incredibly unhelpful and unaccommodating. I would have even appreciated them offering to ring it up as a sausage and chips or whatever but no alternative was offered. Just downright refusal of service. A group of lovely men even offered to pay for us and questioned the employee on their policies on my behalf. My daughter and I left quite upset and embarrassed. Later posted on our local fb group and all the comments were filled with identical stories of them refusing to serve families, even those with babies who could not even eat solids! So this definitely isn't a one-off. Manager refused to show me licensing laws which would specify what constituted a "meal" and refused to give me anything with the company name on or write it down for me when I asked the complaints procedure. AVOID AT ALL COST!

Took my daughter prior to her Halloween party for something to eat and a couple hot chocolates. Asked if we could get a portion of chips, my daughter being autistic she is really picky with food and anywhere else isn't a problem to order a portion of chips. Staff refused to give us a portion of chips as it wasn't on their kids menu. Asked the reason and they brought up a silly licensing rule that they refused to show us when prompted. My daughter ended up crying as she was expecting a meal before her party and staff couldn't honestly be more unhelpful.

Great value lunch with the girls, staff are always lovely especially Theresa who made us feel really welcome. We always come here for our girls luncheons and have never had a bad meal. Good beer garden too for those summer days

Beautiful little pub restaurant wheelchair accessible parking very delicious food from burgers to fish teas staff very friendly and reasonable prices across from Tesco Renfrew after doing some shopping went across for some delicious food and a refreshments I would highly recommend the Flying Scotsman

Food was lovely, well cooked and lovely and hot, only reason I didn't put a 5 for atmosphere was due to being mid afternoon and there was only another 6 or 7 people in

We are here in Glasgow on vacation and were so glad to have a nice delicious meal after driving here from England! We especially enjoyed the chicken, bacon and leek pie and the steak and ale pie, and the service was great!

Very decent place to be. Outside looks good, gardens nicely maintained, inside was nice and clean. Staff were friendly and honestly couldn't fault the food. Will defo be back.

Staff nice food very poor. Had mac and cheese. Watery consistency with a mushy gluggy consistency in the middle, no taste. Added salt and pepper, didn't make much difference. I could not eat it. Staff did offer to provide something else which I declined Hubby had hunters chicken, chicken was dry and very over cooked plus missing the onion rings as stated on the menu

Just a fantastic bar/meals, staff excellent meals delicious, place very friendly, everything is clean and has 2 beer gardens, disable toilet was clean and good to be see staff reminding customers that it was for disabled only

One of the nicest and easiest experiences I could've hoped for for my partner's 24th. Came in from a rainstorm and got seen to immediately, server running the bar and sorting our food was incredibly helpful and regularly checked us all the time for our food. Chicken, lasagne, curry were all delicious and the desserts were great too. An incredibly chill atmosphere for a pub-like place, and our second time of going here. Will regularly come here again!

Came in and had lunch with my wife. Can't fault it at all. Service, staff, food quality, portion size, cleanliness, atmosphere.....everything. This place is an absolute gem. Thank you......we will certainly be back.

Decided to visit our local for lazy Sunday dinner. Highly recommended the Sunday roast - chicken today and the Hunter's Chicken. Both meals cooked fresh, attentive staff, good value for money.

Had a quick lunch with my partner today. He’s Gluten intolerant, ordered gammon with baby potatoes and loved it. Portion was brilliant! I had an American burger and was absolutely delicious! Service is brilliant as well. Been there already few times and never disappointed.

Had to send back. gravey was that much like jelly it wouldn't come of my fork ended up putting me off all together. Still got charged full price.

First time I've visited any pub post lockdown and must say really enjoyed being here. Great service in spotlessly clean surroundings, busy but not overly, with a friendly atmosphere. Food was first class and well priced.. Would recommend the fish... Just nice to get a cold pint again. Give it a try

Went for a wee night out in the Flying Scotsman, we ordered our drinks and sat down at a table shortly after around 19.45pm we asked a member of staff if there was any entertainment and was told that there was a singer starting shortly, we were looking forward to it starting, 3 hours about 22.40pm and a few drinks later still no entertainment then when we asked a member of staff again, we were told the singer contacted them at 21.20pm and was not coming and was due to covid19 what a disappointment we only stayed for the entertainment otherwise we would have gone else where, very poor communication ☹

Really modern and nice place. Good food and drinks. Enjoyable environment with music and plenty of tvs. Good service too with friendly staff

First time having the Sunday roast beef which was thick and tough. The rest of the meal was fine

Dont have the hunters chicken if going for dinner here. The chicken and the bacon was pre cooked then put under the grill to heat and melt the cheese. It was hard around the edge and the whole thing was swimming in bbq sauce. Have to say we chewed our way through it, we were hungry and waited to get our food although only one other table in restaurant.
