Flame Restaurant in Redbridge

This is a great expense, one that could be tried by anyone. There are some great choices available for starters, soups or mains and desserts, this place truly has something for everyone. From the outside it looks like a hotel lobby restaurant or something you'd find in central London. Inside is a nice looking banquet hall. The food is delicious and consistent, I've had 3 courses that I was equally pleased and impressed by. My favourite was ciorbă de burtă (tripe soup), although the sarmale (stuffed cabbage) was also really tasty. Don't forget about papanași (doughnuts?). 9/10 would go again, thoroughly recommended.

Had dinner here on a friend’s recommendation to celebrate Orthdox Easter and we had a fun night. They had organised music and the starters included the traditional “drob”. The starters, soups, chicken liver and desserts were like at home. The staff were very helpful and even offered extra telemea cheese with the starters - it was delicious! We danced sârbă and watched kids running around playing, it was a lively and enjoyable evening. Thanks to Aldo for hosting us!

Very expensive food compared to rivals. And you will see only faces and figures of bad taste, oh and underworld! Even if you have a meal with your family and want to eat quietly, the "fiddlers" and extremely loud music will disturb you. I would not go there again.

I'm sorry I can't give more than 5⭐️, atmosphere = score 10, food = score 10, ambience, services, kind staff = score 10. I highly recommend if you want to feel at least a little "at home". Well done Flame Restaurant

Am fost la petrecerea de Revelion iar mâncarea a fost foarte proasta, nici macar nu era ceea ce ne-au spus ca o sa fie, era fara gust si carnea foarte tare nu se putea mânca, iar fileul de somon era plin de spini,( deci nu era file)broccoli nu se putea mesteca. Am plătit £320 si nu se merita, nu mai pun piciorul acolo niciodată

Went there to get some info for a christening party. As soon as u enter there was a strong smell coming from the toilets. The guy that supposed to give us the info was talking to us and playing on the phone. There were no written menus or info on a paper. All the info given were forgotten by the time we left the avenue. Lacking professionalism!!! I did not get the restaurant wrong as per your reply. I was talking about Oasis restaurant in Ilford!!!

Mancarea foarte buna, nu am ce reprosa. In schimb, as vrea sa subliniez ca muzica este foarte foarte tare (volumul este mult prea mare pentru o incapere asa mica). Sincer, nu te poti intelege cu cei din jur iar cand baietii din formatie iau pauza, cred ca este cel mai placut moment, relax, poti comunica cu cei din jur ( este strict parerea mea). In ceea ce priveste service-ul cred ca mai au de lucrat la asta, sa fie mult mai atenti la detalii. Ca si concluzie, a fost o cina frumoasa intr-o seara de duminica.

Frumos ,relaxant ,recomand pentru o seara in familie sau cu prietenii.Ne-am simtit ca in Romania ! Felicitari celor care se ocupa de acest restaurant !

Locatia este una draguta, mancare a fost ok insa am fost profound dezamagita de organizare. Am avut un eveniment cu 82 de persoane plus copii; doar 2 ospătari pe toată sala, sampania a fost turnată in pahare de noi, iar cand s a terminat sticla, saracii doi ospătari erau de negasit, abia faceau fata sa puna mancarea pe masa, unii invitați care erau la dans nici nu au primit mâncare și in special tort, care s-a pus pe bar ca nu se mai știa unde s-a pus și unde nu; gheata era un lux din cauza asteptarii, multi din invitati au fost nemultumiti, inclusiv noi ce am ales locatia. Ne-a lipsit o masa iar invitatii au avut de asteptat in picoare la usa; cand am cerut Inca o masa mi s-a spus ca daca se mai pune o masa vor fi prea multe ca ei au pus exact numarul de scaune, (pentru 82 persoane insa copiii unde? 7 meniuri de copii care aveau sa stea in picioare ori in brate?? Dupa insistenta mi s a adus inca o masa la care au lipsit decoratiunile, (£1000 a costat aranjamentul sălii, șampania și cafeau). Este drept ca manager ul a sunat sa verifice numarul de mese, nu-mi amintesc conversatia, insa in scris eu am confirmat de 2 ori numarul corect, e clar ca nu s-a citit confirmarea. De ce ați cerut in scris dacă nu respectați cerințele? Pentru meniu am plătit £1 pentru roșie umplută iar la eveniment a fost coșuleț umplut, managerul a pus pe carnețelul lui coșuleț când eu am cerut roșie însă mi-a confirmat verbal £1 extra pentru rosia umplută. Meniul ar fi costat £64 fără roșie însă la final £65 ca am avut coșuleț umplut. Baiatul tanar de la security s-a luat de inviati (a intrebat o invitata in timp ce pleca acasa “copiii tai au tata, nu esti interesata?” Nu vom recomanda locatia. Numarul de chelneri trebuie crescut, organizarea trebuie imbunatatita iar Securitatea sa fie verificata cu alcool test inainte si dupa munca.

We went here for a Christening. It was a lovely place and had such a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and the waiter was just amazing at serving the food while weaving through the kids dancing! Food was delicious 😋

Absolutely fantastic, one of the best dining experiences you can have in London if you want to try some Romanian cuisine! I don't understand why people here will leave a bad review just because the staff was... Just rate the food, not your inability to get a reservation or handle a conversation/order with a waiter! I have been there many times and love the food! Also got food delivered/picked up if the restaurant was busy with some events. Keep up the good work guys!

It's a very nice Romanian restaurant. If you are not from Romania and you want to try Romanian dishes, I do recommend this restaurant. Nice atmosphere, food, very nice red wine. Also, there is live music too, not always but you can ask them when. You have to book in advance if you want to go, special for the weekend's days.

Perfect place for weddings, birthdays party, all kind of events

Very expensive. The service is not great but you are charged 10% on the bill whether you were happy or not, it's not your choice to give a tip, it is basically taken from you. You are also brought items that you did not order and obviously you are charged for it. There is no paper/hard menu. You have to scan a QR code to see the menu online. If you don't have a QR scanner app, a smartphone or you are not tech savvy enough, well, tough, there's no other choice. Even if you were able to check the menu online, many items are missing. Some of the food is not too fresh . Sarmale is not made with sour pickled cabbage, but some replacement (reckon boiled cabbage leaves in some sour-ish liquid) All in all, the service is of much lower quality than it was pre-covid but the prices are muck higher. Unjustified. Decided that we will not be visiting/dining here again.

Food is fine. It is very clean. I don't particularly like how it looks. It's more appropriate for small events, rather than having lunch/dinner.

Traditional dishes with decent portion sizes. Recommend if you want to eat good Romanian food. Clever use of digitial menus due to covid with everything clear and lots of choice. Good size rooms that are available for parties, wedding celebrations. Good staff and service.

Nice place, good staff a good diversities of food. Prices are okay and the waiting time for having the food in the plates it's okay. Free parking at the back of the restaurant, if it's too busy you can ask the staff about wher e you can park and they will guide you. Clean toilets as well. Overall, very pleased.

Been to Oasis before,couple of parties few years back and the food was good so we decided to book one of the venues for my daughter's Christening. As we where here we decided to have something to eat and it was amazing,really didn't have something that good in a while,it was the pork 'ambasador'..really good..definatly coming here again

Nice and lovely place, suitable for events with up to 50 guests. They usualy have a live band as well so you can have a lovely time here serving your dinner.

Been there on a Friday evening. Not the best night to go for diner. It was a private party with live music, still serving customers on top of that, felt like we had to chase the waiter every time we needed something and the wait was unbearable so we end up having the desert to go

Restaurant elegant, cu un personal foarte politicos. Recomand cu drag!

Unul din cele mai bune restaurante romanesti, dar va rog eu, scapati de muzica (live) de camin cultural... e un stil foarte invechit si mult prea tare... nu ne mai intelegeam cu oamenii la masa si in afara de asta, mai vin si oameni cu copiii mici. V-as sugera sa sunati inainte sa intrebati daca au eveniment (caz in care nu se serveste mancare, nici macar comanda) si sa va inarmati cu rabdare. Pentru felul 1, felul 2 si desert veti sta acolo cel putin 2 ore. Mancarea este foarte gustoasa si aici gasesc cei mai buni papanasi din Londra.

Motocicliştii români au avut o seară de neuitat, alături de acel grup de tineri moldoveni de peste Prut! "Prea frumos, prea ca la mama acasă!" ;)

Am fost recent la o cumatrie...legat de organizare.In .primu rand la primu fel de mâncare erau puse tacamurile direct pe masa fara servetel...niste pahare de pe timpu lui ceausescu.iar despre mancare niste sarmale ocne de sarate.felul 2 piure cu branza si fleica de porc iar primu fel acceptabil.(pastrama,frigarui cu branza gorgozonala si rosii chery,rulouri umplute cu diverse,) si Paine Feliata!!!

Nice and pleasant, did enjoyed the food which was exactly what I was expecting, moderate prices, good atmosphere and music. I wasn't bordered with tipical Romanian gipsy's music and thank you for that, surprised by the fact they didn't played not even single gipsy song the whole time spent in there👍👌👍! The only downside was the whole room filled with noisy talkative sounds which will wake up memorys of moments spent in Romanian country side bufet... Happy Days! Did enjoyed, do recommend!

Tried to book a table for this evening as I had heard good things about this restaurant from my Romanian friends, but found the staff very off hand and rude. They ignored the phone so had to ring several times before finally getting answered member of staff who answered stated in an off hand and rude manner that they were very busy so they ignored the phone. Because of this attitude the food may be wonderful and the restaurant may be great but I will not be considering booking a table or entering this restaurant if that is how they treat potential customers on the phone

We just have a simple request this traditional dessert was actually not hot and is not having the same taste cold and the papanasi that we do have in Romanian are having more cheese this are more like donuts; please chef can u just add more cheese and transform the donuts in papanasi 🙏🏻

Curat personal serviabil mîncare bună

Mâncarea foarte buna! Dar personalul trebuie înlocuit, se jignesc ca la ușă cortului. Am cerut felul 2 la pachet și personalul din bucătărie a început să înjure și sa vb foarte urat (auzind totul fiind la masa de lângă tejghea)plus că mi-a adus punga cu comanda și era mozolită de ulei.. și pe final eu comandasem o porție de papanași și m.am trezit că a uitat ospătarul sa le zică la bucătărese...deci mâncarea foarte buna dar poate pe alta tura de personal... Clean, great food, friendly staff who would go an extra mile to have a happy customer. I like it that they adapt the order to your needs, you can take away food (they even ask you if you want it hot or cold). Well done!
