Five Rivers Coffee Co in Sheffield

Solía ser uno de mis lugares favoritos para comer en Sheffield. La comida sigue siendo agradable, pero la capacidad de personalizar completamente tu banh mi se ha eliminado y esto fue lo que hizo que el lugar fuera tan bueno. Y cuando visitamos hace unas semanas, esperamos unos 20 minutos para que nos tomaran el pedido después de sentarnos. Podría haber sido un mal día, pero esto combinado con el cambio de menú fue una experiencia decepcionante: (Todavía recomendaría Five Rivers como un lugar favorito para comer en Broomhill, pero donde lo hubiera calificado como 'excelente' antes de que sea ahora desafortunadamente 'promedio'.

Different to anything else Broomhill has to offer. A warm atmosphere and interesting decor, with great food to boot! The service is good, and the food comes reasonably fast. The baguettes are good value for money at less than £8, however the pho noodles are a bit more pricey. Both taste great, packed with flavour. We would give five stars for atmosphere if we could. However, charging restaurant prices for a cafe meal leaves Five Rivers with some room for improvement, and so we feel four stars is fair. Would definitely still visit again!

Una cafetería acogedora y encantadora, pero la comida es decepcionante y los precios son bastante altos para los estándares del café, la comida estaba llena de especias y chiles, aunque lo habíamos pedido sin él y mi amigo no pudo terminarlo a pesar de que habíamos hecho una solicitud especial. para que sea sin ellos no se ofrecieron a hacerlo de nuevo o darle algo más para comer que no era realmente aceptable, pero no pudimos hacer mucho al respecto, excepto pagar nuestra factura e ir a otro lugar, ya que con un lugar independiente es difícil para saber qué hacer si el personal no reconoce sus errores o los rectifica, por lo tanto, espero que mi revisión lo vea y tome las medidas apropiadas

Linda cafetería de inspiración vietnamita, solo llegué a comprar un americano rápido, pero el café era excelente y tenía un precio razonable.

Totalmente diferente a cualquier otro café o restaurante de comida tailandesa en Sheffield. Ambiente encantador y comida con las linternas adentro haciendo una sensación totalmente diferente a cualquier otro lugar en Sheffield.

As we had been for a walk at lady bower reservoir and were passing back through Sheffield we fancied stopping off for a coffee. Being a mainly vegan family costa is a safe bet but I prefer to support small businesses and spotted 5 rivers across the road. When we walked in the aromas of spices made us hungry so we ordered some food. Baguettes and summer rolls. For the baguettes you get to choose your main part (we had tofu, one siracha and one curry then we added a spread then up to 4 ‘salad’ items, and lastly a sauce. They were really yummy! Coffees were good too and the fresh orange delicious, cold and necessary with the heat of the food. Would definitely return! Lovely vibe and great food.

Popped in for lunch on a thoroughly miserable, grey, rainy, Monday lunchtime - lifted my spirits immeasurably! Service was swift and friendly. Good choice of coffees and teas. Stunning food - we had a banh mi (baguette) each which was quite delicious! I like the way you create your own concoction! Plenty of choices for veggies / vegans but I’m not sure how those with coeliac disease / GF would manage? I guess they have GF bread but I forgot to ask (daughter in law is coeliac). Nice eclectic mix of customers - students, parents with their teens, yummy mummies and daddies! Even like the music! Will def return when / if we are in the Sheffield area again.

The Broomhill outlet is appealing in decor & atmosphere. The bowls of pho we had were excellent fresh flavours & quite spicy if you have the chillies. We had the chicken & prawn & although i was expecting bigger prawns i would still recommend. The cocktails are good as well.

Five rivers is my favourite cafe in Sheffield. It has a great atmosphere, with lovely staff and is a good spot to go for a coffee or to eat. Would 100% recommend!!

Loved the traditional coffee, the vibe and the food. Din like summer role much but definitely work a try!!

This is a gem of a place. The atmosphere is great, the staff are really friendly, the food is delicious and the coffee is second to none.

I have come here for the second time today despite having a bad experience with the service the last time. Reason being the restaurant itself is so wonderful and I just love Vietnam and the food so much , and to come and experience the level of authenticity that 5 rivers has is totally refreshing for a little corner of Sheffield. Which is why it's a huge shame that the staff don't match up. When we got there today it was very quiet- only a few tables with people on yet we were sat waiting for 20 minutes with no one coming to take our order? My friend eventually had to go up to ask if we could order , so we both ordered at the bar even though it's meant to be table service. The staff didn't smile and really didn't care about us , sauntering around wiping tables , or chatting to each other , doing anything but paying us attention really ! The restaurant had almost emptied by the time we had finished eating and I believe they were turning people away for food orders ( at 3 30 in the day ?) We waited about 20 minutes again for them to come and clear the plates because I wanted to get it boxed up, but ended up having to take my own plate up to the bar and ask for it to be boxed and to pay . I realised we were just getting completely ignored ! Little things like warm smiles and general checks on the table could have made such a huge difference to the experience, and its just a shame we've experienced this twice now. The rug in the floor seating area could also do with a clean and hoover, just throwing it out there. Hope the owners can change the attitude of the staff before a reputation is built !

Went to Cutlery works with work colleagues on afternoon during the heat wave, we were struggling quite a bit with the heat so we got some food and went somewhere cooler with ventilation. As it was so warm, I went for the Vietnamese salad which consisted of vermicelli noodles, fresh salad, pickled vege and your choice of toppings. I went for double fried tofu which has sirarcha seasoning and it was absolutely delicious. A very generous portion for £6.95. I might be giving cutlery works a miss in the heat wave but will definitely be back when it is cooler.

Had popped in for coffee a few times. But had not eaten in as didn’t realise I could bring my dog. However about a month ago they told me we can sit in with our dog (my fault for not asking.) So where to begin. The Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk is amazing, not sure if I prefer it hot or iced. The chicken wings are to die for. We had wings elsewhere the other day and we just yearned for the Five Rivers version. The pho noodles and Bahn mi sandwiches are fab. Oh and the veggie Vietnamese brekkie is fabulous. So not much to complain about. My only even better comment is that I so wish they served authentic Vietnamese ginger tea. (They sell it everywhere in Vietnam.) As you may tell, am a real vietnamophile, (if that is a word). So if I can’t be there Five Rivers gives a real taste close to home.

Really enjoyed eating here. It's just something different in all ways. For one the interior is exotic and bright, and there's an area where you can sit on the floor, Asian-style. And this area was more full than the standard tables when we were there....
