New to area first time user .. chips superb sausage lovely .. but steak n kidney pie rank rotten no taste certainly no a pukka pie .. will still go back just not get the pies .. wasted my Saturday night meal

I have used this fish&chicken shop for years - don’t know if they have changed staff - but last night received a cod in batter which was totally uncooked - fish was practically raw batter was yellow inside and just a cream covering - totally unacceptable- this happened also a couple of weeks ago and I just thought it was a once off - obviously not -also the grease was running out of the box with the fish and chips were in so much it had also gone through the carrier bag - the least you expect is the food is cooked not thrown in the dustbin

I am an American, so I'm surely not an expert on fish and chips, but I did open a few of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants in Las Vegas and work for the guy for a while. So I do know a bit. I have to say that hands down, these are the best fish and chips I have ever eaten. The golden crispy shell is a thing of wonder. The light taste of the cod is fresh and delightful, the chips are delightful. The man behind the counter was fun, friendly, kind and professional. Fantastic service. The kids were great too, lots of fun. I would go so far as to say it's the best food I have ever eaten. My whole (large) group agreed. A wonderful establishment that clearly has it all figured out. I did not expect that in this small town. Absoultely Delicious.

Always a reliable place for quality fish & chips, as well as spit roasted chicken. Quick service, but you can order ahead and just pick up. I think they do delivery as well, but I've never tried it.

absolutely ridiculously expensive for extremely small portions. I swear if they could charge £1 per chip they would. the food is nice enough, but four and a half quid for a large chips which is honestly about two large potatoes is appalling. Either increase your portion sizes (by about 3 times) or slash your prices (preferably both). Cannot recommend this place to anyone but only because it’s a rip off

Everything was cold apart from the curry sauce the chips were dry and tasteless and also some had been re cooked, I have pictures where you can clearly see the chips have been redone probably from lunchtime. I will never use this place again this is the second time from there they have been inedible.

Best fish and chip shop in Bishops Stortford! The staff are so friendly and efficient. The ribs are just glorious and the chips are delicious. The curry sauce is Irish and soo sooo good. Would 100% recommend to anyone!

Update 3 pieces of sfc were pretty poor. One piece had fairly good amount of meat, but was dry. The other 2 pieces were like road kill, and mostly bones which you had to rip apart to find any meat. Will update review if it improves next time

I think charging £4.50 for a larger bag a chips is outrageous. .it takes 3 potatoes which costs 20p what a markup

Great fsh and chips, but if ordering fish, girls stop getting out fish and putting it in a box, those 8 minutes made my fish cold and wasn't cheap either. Would recommend as been to this place for years. Love chips.

I thoroughly enjoyed my fish n chicken experience. This saturday, i walked into the store and was welcomed by a guy called toby i believe this store is inclusive as this was portrayed by the mannerism of toby. I asked for 1 peice of sfc and chips howevee he suggested that i went for the 3sfc and chips meal. What a score! He was so helpful and made my day . What a day, what a meal. Five stars!!!

Usually the food is really good but disappointed tonight as the chips were cold. And for one meal that cost almost £19, I’d have hoped for better.

Stellar performance from a worker there called Toby. I went in there Thursday and got a portion of chips and a sausage (it did get rubbed up my finger tho). I would've given the atmosphere 1 star but because Toby was there it really boosted my mood and mad the rest of it enjoyable. The food was a bit mid tho icl. (Didn't get any photos from Thursday but here are my chips from today) Nowhere near as good. :)

I am used to the regular service from Toby, however today I went for the deep fried pasta with a mariana sauce, it was quite nice however I don't think the pasta was cooked quite well as it was very crunchy overall 8/10

Great service and quality food, although from historical orders I was expecting a Pukka Pie vs Pete’s Pie.

Order was late and took 1 hour 20 to arrive and had to be re heated. No communication until I called regarding late delivery. Driver was friendly and apologetic. Won’t order again.

Payed for large chips, received a tiny portion (I’ve ordered medium chips here many times, these were not large!) still waiting on large chips to be delivered as they said they would! Sauce tub was half empty too! Maybe they have reduced the sizes, but no where near up to the usual good standards! Disappointed

Just the best Fish and Chips place, hands down

Fish and chips were lovely as always, but was disappointed with the ice cream as it had obviously been defrosted and refrozen so was all crystallised. But will be getting the fish and chips again. Thank you.

Chips were ok, quite skinny and not crispy at all. Very expensive for a chip shop. The main issue was the grease you could have poured it off the chips couldn’t believe it.

2 weeks ago could count chips hidden under fish same again today but less chips fish cold chips hard , when I commented about size of portion I was given less , my wife rang to complain young person who answered was very nice suggested to complain to head office for a refund ,and they had been told to reduce size of portions because of price increases on food I feel very cheated by this company Fish Chicken Tomorrow big complaint not happy customer.

Fast delivery, fresh hot and delicious food

Hi twice this month we have had haddock and chips, It has been so greasy and the portions are getting so small, after last nights meal we are stopping going there, We used to love this fish n chip shop!!!

We’re regular customers, we usually order for the food to be delivered to the house. Yesterday we took our family. They’ve never had fish and chips before and wanted to try this delicious dish. They had come all the way from the US to the UK for the first time. The staff there were so welcoming they cooked everything fresh and ensured that we had everything that we needed. Our family LOVED the food and comments were “that was so worth the wait! We’ll visit there again when we come back!” Thank you to all the sweet staff for the delicious food, your time and effort. We’ll be back!!

Chips? More like mash potato. The thin chips which you cannot call a chip shop chip were undercooked, crammed in a box to and steamed. Not once but twice. Do yourself a favoured and order from Churchill in Stansted 110% quality fish and chips.

Visited here to get a portion of chips recently, £4.25 for a large potion of chips, I would actually have considered this a medium-small portion myself. The chips were tasty, more on the soggy side than crispy side which is nice sometimes. But wouldn’t return due to the pricing for the small portions

It was tasty but the large chips were tiny a child's portion I understand how expensive things are now but it was £27 for a medium haddock and chips and a battered sausage and large chips The large chips where smaller than what I got with my fish Come on guys spuds don't cost that much !!!!

Paid £20 for a very small fish and chips x 2, small amount of chips and the batter on the small piece of fish was not properly cooked, very disappointed as I am a regular customer, had I had more time it would of gone back

Exceeded our expectations. Nervous to try as we previously used Shekos fish but discovered they’d closed down !! Team at Thorley are now the same group as Churchills we were told in Stansted and the food and service are much improved as a result 👍 excellent food, pack and a great delivery too ! Thanks

Food was ordered at 19:41 and arrived at 21:19. It was cold on arrival. Won’t be ordering from here again.
