Tasty enough, but for £5 this portion size of a saveloy and chips is shameful.

Have you wondered why there aren’t that many photos to see this place’s food. See below…. I cannot emphasise how much this is one of the worst fish and chips I have ever had. If the fish was half the price considering the size, that would be fair. But for a fish the size of my hand for about £10? Nah And to top it off there was a dead fly in my fish. If you want actual fish and chips go Georges in town (next to Tesco).

Traditional Fish & Chips shops are now rare - this one has been open for over 36 years and the quality is unmatched.

Absolutely amazing. Thick chunky pure white fish and not a bit of grease on the plate 10/10. Chips was lovely.

4 cod roe not cooked properly, all soggy and stuck together, chips swimming in oil. Absolutely disgusting. Don’t know how they had the audacity to send out food like that. All thrown in the bin.

Great food at a reasonable price given the current climate

This has been our go to fish shop for almost 30 years, and when we're abroad no matter how exotic and delicious the cuisine is, I know it's time to come back when I start hankering for a nice portion of cod and chips.

Paid £14.95 for large cod and chips, fish was small and very poor value for money and chip portion wasn't much better. First and last time ordering from here.

My Dad opened this Fish and Chip shop back in the very early 70's and again it was a family run business with my mum and uncles. I grew up in the flat on top... that was my home and I still remember the telephone number off by heart, it hasn't changed I see :). I had my first new born while living there, It was a great family run business back then and it was awarded the best fish and chip shop in the area too!! So happy to see that the reviews are still great for this shop. I loved it and had great memories there. I Wish it to continue to thrive. would love to visit one day...I wonder if the new owners will allow me to see my home once again...<3

Really, really good traditional family run fish shop. They don't stretch themselves like others and are open sensible hours so they can deliver on great fish and chips
