Had such a lovely dinner here, amazing food and wonderful staff! So welcoming from the very start the receptionist saw us in our heels and gave us a buggy ride to the Barn which was so kind of her, staff explained all the dishes and specials with lots of care. We have never tasted food like it! The sirloin was incredible definitely the stand out for us! We will 100% be back :)

I can’t believe this place exists and I didn’t know until I checked into the resort. If this restaurant was based in a city you’d never get a table. Everything from the food to cocktails and service from the knowledgeable staff was flawless. I’ve been in hospitality for many years and these guys are doing everything right. We loved the sharing concept because we got to try some more plates but would suggest some kind of chefs choice menu option maybe? I think that’s because we know having tried some of the food that everything on the menu is worthy of its place there and your team could have served us anything from the menu and I’m sure we would have loved it. Our favourite plate was the Chicken served with XO sauce, unbelievable. Great work Chef and the FoH team!

We stayed at Finn Lough for 2 nights and had booked in advance for the first night for dinner and after eating there once we booked in again for the next evening too! The food was excellent, super tasty, interesting and beautifully presented. The servers took a lot of time to explain the dishes and were passionate about the food and the chef’s vision for the dishes. The dining room was spacious and comfortable and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through or staying nearby even if you are not staying at Finn Lough.

Visited Finn Lough and had the pleasure of dining at "The Barn" recently. Pre booked the eat well experience online and was not disappointed. Really tasty food, beautifully presented and fantastic variety. Every part was a culinary delight and the staff were appropriately attentive but not overwhelming. Definitely worthwhile to add to the Finn Lough experience.

The Barn restaurant is set in a really beautiful space. Lovely place for an occasion dinner/night out. It’s formal while maintaining a cosy, welcoming atmosphere. The food is in a tapas/sharing plate style format and the plates are beautifully presented. Decent options for vegetarians/vegans too! One thing needed is more clarity on allergen contents, as there were a few mix ups regarding the food that was served to me and my allergies. Granted, we were in a large group which made plates harder to keep track of for our server, and she was very quick to bring me extra plates of safe food for me once I flagged it. But nonetheless, a clear allergen menu or some other contingency is definitely important to get installed, especially since the sharing plate format can be a risky/anxiety-inducing experience for allergy sufferers anyway (though of course it doesn’t have to be, and this can be fixed with menu clarity, staff knowledge of menu, serving individual plates to allergy sufferer, staff explaining what is on the plate, marking plate/changing presentation for identification of non-allergen portion etc. etc.). Bar that, lovely food, staff and space! Thanks so much for having us. Will definitely be back.

Went to this place for an unreal work outing And was absolutely shocked from the beginning are visit started in a beautiful bar/cinema area. We were greeted with such beautiful welcoming faces. The bar man greeted us with jokes and a welcoming smile, He made some crazy space cocktails which blew my mind and I’m not a cocktail guy but this place changed that! The food menu was so amazing we tried mostly everything on the menu and everything was so evenly fantastic, I’m so excited to go again hopefully can try the spa before hand next time

The Barn is special, a new player in Irish cuisine’s top tier. Tucked away in a lakeside forest, the woodland resonates throughout the stylish and spacious restaurant. The furnishings and lighting set a striking mood; natural, intimate, and full of anticipation. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and kindly. Our party were many wows in before we even saw the menu. And what a menu it is to behold. As we made our way through a generous selection of small plates, I was taken aback at the mix of memories of the homemade Irish cuisine of my childhood - traditional bread, champ and locally sourced mussels - and the exciting, experimental tastes that are usually the preserve of London and New York’s top food destinations. Fish tacos, bao buns, and burrata all told a story, flavours and textures unfolding and returning. The sirloin, the pumpkin, the mushroom toast… new Head Chef Farrel Hirsch has pulled off a great feat, with Finn Lough making a convincing play as an international standard bearer in luxury travel and dining experience. We will be rushing back to the perfect place for taking it slow.

We had a great experience visiting Finn Lough as part of a largish group. Initially the restaurant was a little hard to find but this made it all the more interesting. Little touches on a cold evening such as the restaurant having a cloakroom for our coats was impressive. Service was calm and capable with the waiter having great knowledge of the choices Food was brought directly to us, their iPad method of ordering was very efficient. Vegan options were great and I didn't have to query the ingredients in the way I normally do. This is a professional place where they know their food. Shortrib beef was a popular option with the meat eaters and it caused huge excitement being described as the best beef ever. Highly recommended, listen to the directions when they give them to you, a really precious place.

Went here recently with friends, we did not stay there, so were just there for dinner. The food was truly excellent, including great vegetarian options. The surroundings and setting are gorgeous and service was great. A few downsides however which would prevent me from rebooking. Firstly, we were advised when we went to pay that they really prefer cash payments, as they sometimes have trouble with their payment system. This is an absolute red warning alarm bell for me. I would expect this type of establishment to be able to process electronic payments, and to understand how this sounds to customers. It seems this was not a one off, and they regularly ask their external customers customers to do this. Secondly the food was served extremely quickly, I mean with 10 minutes of ordering our starter - it was on the table, and the second we finished our plates were whipped away and our mains placed in front of us. We joked it was like the Howard's magic table, with food and plates appearing and disappearing in front of our eyes. Finally and most importantly, at 945pm we were more or less the last people there. At that point we were asked if we wanted to order anything else as they were closing. I believe there is a bar for residents and that is not open to non residents, but it would haven't been nice to have somewhere to relax without being rushed out the door. In short if you are looking for very good food, served extremely extremely quickly and be home by 10pm, then this is the place for you.

This restaurant is located near the reception building of the Finn Lough Resort and is within a short walk of any of the rooms. It is beautifully decorated and warm and cosy. The staff were excellent and nothing was too much to ask. The food was really good too and of perfect proportions. While the menu choice isn't huge, it is more than adequate and should cover all tastes. We had that pleasant full-but-not-stuffed feeling at the end. Would highly recommend eating here, even if you are not staying at the resort.

From the moment I arrived at this restaurant I felt relaxed . The tables are well spaced and with the high ceiling and ventilation it felt like being back to pre Covid days . The staff although young are well trained and very friendly . The food menu was not extensive which I think is better as then they get everything right , we had the onion bhaji and prawn starter , the bhaji was slightly too salty for my taste but the prawns were delicious . We then had the sea bass and the wood fired pizza needless to say I couldn’t finish a whole pizza but was able to take it back to my villa for the next day in a pizza box . We shared a chocolate fondant dessert which was excellent all washed down with a bottle of red wine . Considering NIE had turned the electric off for most of the day , I was pleasantly surprised by the standard of food . In a time when so many restaurants are struggling with staff it is lovely to go out and have a positive experience .

First of all, staff were incredible! Also, the new restaurant building is perfect for space during Covid. Menu has changed since we were last there, so we were very disappointed not to see the “game” food that we experienced last time. We decided to have multiple starters in a tapas style dinner, but were not blown away by any. Desert was delicious! Breakfast was also disappointing - croissants were not fresh and pancakes were not homemade. Disappointing for a night away that costs over £500!

We drove 80 miles to Finn Lough and left disappointed with our experience. It is a beautiful setting. On our arrival, there was no signage to show us where to go, it is very secluded that you feel it is uninhabited. You park a long way from the main restaurant and have to climb many steps via a security gate. The restaurant is indeed very unique and does deliver on 'being in a forest'.Staff was unable to answer our question as to the name of the exact location saying it is Enniskillen but really it is over 1 hour from Enniskillen. It is situated at the very bottom of Lower Lough Erne close to the Donegal border. We later found out that this is known as 'Letter' and not far from Boa Island. The food is very expensive, the starter was okay but the main course did not live up to our expectations. The chef tries to create 'fine dining' but does not deliver. The portions are extremely small, my husband is still complaining about his meal, he ordered Erne Lamb which was so tasteless and so small on the plate that you would miss it, My steak was also tiny with a huge lump of fat on the side I had to ask for more. The chips had been cooked numerous times and were tough. The staff are very attentive. We felt this was very poor value for money and left disappointed having paid a hefty bill.

It’s 2 years since I last reviewed, and pleased that this restaurant is as good as before. The service is efficient and friendly. Dietary requirements are asked when booking. A good choice of wines, as well as the menu gives plenty of choice. I had the most delicious soup , full of flavour without being over seasoned. Followed by succulent chicken that was cooked to perfection. My dining companion had ham hock, followed by lamb. We both loved our food, served in very relaxing surroundings. My husband took me to Finn Lough recently to celebrate my birthday. We have eaten here before but it has been a while. The restaurant is quaint and seems to be a lot of people staying on the resort eat here rather than local people. The food was so tasty and well presented I enjoyed every tantalising mouthful! The resort now has a refurbished bar serving cocktails and a cinema with Netflix! The quality and taste of the food is on par with Nevin Maguire McNean Bistro’s cuisine. The presentation is amazing. Had dinner here with my husband after being gifted a stay in the bubble dome for my 30th birthday. A tremendous meal from start to finish. Service was perfect. Staff were so pleasant, polite and efficient. For starters my husband has the pumpkin veloute and I the wood pigeon-both were delicious and beautifully seasoned. For mains we opted for the steak and lamb. Both were cooked perfectly and so so tasty. The gravy was the best I've ever tasted. I could have literally licked the plate clean. Desserts finished the meal wonderfully. I had the poached pear and my husband a trio of chocolate mousses. You could really tell the produce used was homegrown/local.Staff were also very knowledgeable about wine choices. I really didn't expect such a stunning meal and the 30pounds a head for 3 courses was a total bargain! They could easily charge double that. I'd be back every week if the restaurant was local to us!

Dined here when staying in Finn Lough. Food was absolutely fantastic, for such a small resort, to have such a standard of food and service is a real achievement. Well thought through dishes, with great flavours, matched with excellent friendly service. Was thoroughly surprised, food easily exceeded that of their much larger neighbouring competitors in Fermanagh and Donegal. This restaurant would pack a punch if it was in Belfast, and I would be a regular. Look forward to returning.

We were staying close by this restaurant and we were delighted to find it so close to our holiday home. We had planned to breakfast there and perhaps eat our evening meal there as well. They operate a very strange system - the breakfast menu is only available for a short while, then they close for one hour and open with a lunch menu. We normally have 'brunch' while away on holidays so this didn't suit at all. There were six people in our group and one of us did not want a burger or a main meal for breakfast and asked if they could have an omelette from the breakfast menu instead. The chef said 'no'. The rest of the group considered going elsewhere, but instead, the person that wanted the omelette made do with a plain scone instead. Of course, after this experience, we did not consider returning for a meal that evening. It takes 3 eggs and approx 3 mins to make an omelette. What was the big deal? We won't be returning.

Having stayed previously at the Waterside Cottages self-catering, we decided to return and stay in the Bubbledome. Breakfast is provided when staying in the Bubbledome. We chose also to eat dinner here. The food is of exceptional high quality and good presentation. What I particularly loved was that the food is not over-seasoned, and the ingredients are locally sourced. For example, walking around the forest there is an abundance of wild garlic in bloom all over the place. Soup at night had its main ingredient as wild garlic- the flavour not being pungent at all as you'd expect- but rather delicate and intricate- not at all what I expected, it was a complete delight. There is a good range of fish and the most beautiful potato Rossi cake I have ever tasted- full of flavour crushed potato and lots of Irish butter! I'd recommend eating here if staying in the bubbledomes or suites, as neither have self catering facilities. You'd travel a very long way to get any comparable food. Service is unfussy, relaxed, friendly. Five stars Finn Lough!

Food was gorgeous, kids were accommodated with slight change by our kids to their order and overall service was excellent. Well done to Michael and all the staff, keep up the hard work, we will definitely be back!

I spent 3 nights here with my son in the petrichor suite. First off the friendliness of the staff really made a difference, particularly their willingness to engage with my hyperactive and inquisitive son. Food was excellent, the room was immaculate and very nicely decorated and the activities we undertook with a minimum of fuss or hassle, and when it suited us. We enjoyed immensely the Hobie kayaks, torrential downpour notwithstanding! Id recommend this haven for any family, I shall definitely be back.

I was very excited to come here having heard wonderful things from several people. And we weren't disappointed! The setting is just stunning and the restaurent is intimate, well kept and excellently designed. The food was out of this world, especially the duck with pesto mash. If I had to criticise one aspect it would be that the choice for dessert was a bit limited (I know I'm being picky!) But the cheesecake was gorgeous. The service was also a really nice touch- attentive and welcoming. We were never left wanting... only to come back again some time soon!

Was really looking forward to trying here for some time and was not disappointed, food was very good and well presented. Only thing I can be critical of was the service which I excused as the waiter was apologetic as he was new, very friendly and all an all a good experience.

We recently visited Finn Lough for the al a carte menu. This restaurant has the most amazing location between Pettigo and Belleek. The starters were beautifully presented and delicious. The mains were fabulous. I had the hake and the homemade tartare sauce was unreal! Desserts were homemade and tasty. My only criticism is the menu is slightly limited thus limiting the times I can visit as I can only eat two of the main course choices but when I fancy another piece of wonderful hake this is where I'll go. We will definitely be back and will also try the bistro menu which is served until 6:30pm and the Sunday lunch menu. It was my husbands birthday and when the staff heard us say this they gave his drinks complimentary...lovely touch. Looking forward to calling again soon!

We came here for an a la carte dinner during a stay in the lodges. The resort staff organised a baby sitter for us to enjoy our anniversary dinner. The setting is very cosy and with only 24 covers in each sitting it feels very personal. The food was fantastic and the it was clear they have grand ambitions, small touches like the garnishes, plate art and the settings all feel very very high end. The lighting was perhaps a little bright, all though it was June, that aside I really couldn't fault the place. We've already planned our return later in the year.

Snuggled away in natures paradise is this amazing little restaurant. Part of the Finn Lough Resort, Finn Lough Kitchen is open to the general public and not just guests. Popped down and sampled a taster menu with my husband. Each bite was full of flavoursome deliciousness cooked to perfection only using the finest ingredients. Despite the growing lack of room left from the generous servings I still wanted more and more of the decadent courses in front of me, each outdoing the previous and surprising me when I thought I had tasted the best yet! My guess is whether you pop down for a quick coffee and sweet treat or a full blown 3 courses you will be treated to the most amazing dining experience. As for the surroundings, the restaurant is stylish and modern making good use of every inch of the space. The beauty inside only but compliments the beauty of nature outside! Only advice is don't pop down in a rush, give yourself plenty of time to soak in the beauty around you and leave relaxed and certain you have found a little bit of heaven nestled away in beautiful Northern Ireland!

Beautiful decor with mouthwatering food and great service. I went for Sunday lunch with my grandmother who wouldnt take big portions and they graciously gave us the rest of hers to take home. The service was brilliant, very attentive staff and had a constant flow of drinks. The menu made it hard for us to choose what we wanted due to the range of tasty dishes, granny settled on the Pan Fried Hake and she loved it which is a big accomplishment! I choise the Turkey and Ham and can guarante to be returing after the beautiful meal, hats off to the chef and staff, brilliant place for Sunday lunch and wilk be back to taste the amazing a la carte and bistro menu.

We enjoyed a three course dinner here as part of a package staying in the Finn Lough catered suites, and it was beautiful. The restaurant is set out in a lovely way (I would have liked some of the furniture at home!) and the food was delicious. The staff were very attentive, many of whom had only started recently but were a credit to themselves and Finn Lough. My only slight reserve (and by no means a negative, just a possible improvement!) was the limited choice of drinks, with only one red and white wine, and a small selection of soft drinks on offer with your meal, then hot drinks for after; more variety including beers and after dinner drinks would have been welcome.

Called into Finn Lough after a day trip to Belleek, just for coffee and a nosey! What we found was a lovely haven of peace and tranquility. We sat on the balcony overlooking the lough and kiddies play park, there was no pressure for us to move once our coffee was done - I really would love to come back for a meal next time. Have a wee walk around the site once you have finished your meal, the Fermanagh Lakeland Lodges are beautiful lodges dotted around the Lough which look amazing, there are forest trails, boats for hire and countless other activities to keep you busy.

We were passing this place on our way up the wild atlantic way and were so glad we stopped in. The staff were really helpful and the food was fantastic. I had the steak which was amazing and my wife had the hake which she said was cooked perfectly. The setting is great and you can have a lovely walk before or after your meal.

We came here during a visit to family in Belleek, who highly recommended it. We've been to the area many times before and have struggled to find good vegetarian option for my wife. We now have a new go to option as the food here was fantastic. The staff were friendly and attentive and there seems to be a nice mix of local and international accents floating around. We'll be back

We had a delicious Sunday Lunch in this peaceful kithen restaurant followed by a short walk around the marina to admire the views over the Lough. The delicious range of starters made it difficult to choose and the food was tasty and well presented. The mains were traditional Sunday roasts with a good variety of vegetables and tasty meats. There was no room for pudding! Staff were pleasant and friendly. The price was very reasonable. More people should discover this delightful hidden gem on one of Fermanagh's less well known loughshores.

A good place to eat, in an unexpected location. We had lamb shank which was very good, nice and pink, would have liked a bit more fire on the outside. The menu said it came with local black pudding (mine didn't) and a red wine jus (confident mine was just normal gravy) but I enjoyed it very much. My wife had spaghetti carbonara, made with cream which might upset the purists. Bizzarely, this was served with a side of chips. I also got a side of chips in spite of my meal already coming with champ. The portion of pasta was insane, we couldn't have eaten it between us. I was amused at the double carbs but the chips are amazing, the best chips I've had in ages. If I made chips that good I'd serve them with everything too. Decent little wine list, and really reasonable prices on the wine, which I was surprised by because so many restauraunts overcharge on wine. Dessert portions are very generous, as are the portions of everything else. It's big proper plates of food. It's a nice place, with no pretenses, the service is good and the dining room was full of familes and couples enjoying themselves. We left very full and glad we made the trip. Give it a go, but arrive hungry becasue you're having chips as well.
