Farz's in Wigan

Years ago this was a really good kebab shop but not now, got a tandoori box as never had it before, chicken that dry it’s flakey, cold frozen chips, bland flavourless curry sauce & cold gloopy brown rice. A big tray of lettuce to go with it, I think what they call Shawma chicken is not what I’d call shwama chicken, was like a yellow coloured mashed up dry chicken. Donna meat was actually best part of the box. For almost £20 would be a bargain for all that food if it was good food.

Ordered the Tandoori Mixed Grill as had read great reviews. Unfortunately it was late, (took 2 hours), cold and very dry. Shame really as we were expecting great things. Driver was very apologetic for the delay and it was payday weekend so they were busy. That wasn't an issue really it was the dry cold food that was disappointing. The curry sauce was so cold it had solidified and dropped out of the pot in one clump. Garlic bread with cheese was nice once we'd given it 30 seconds in the microwave.

Ordered from here most weekends for the past few years. For some reason though, the pizzas have started to go downhill. So tonight, we opted for a munchy box, and a mixed kebab. The munchy box was lovely, really nice. But, my kebab - for some reason, whoever assembled it seemed to think I wanted 2 dry kebabs. And by that, I mean, they put a spoonful of chilli sauce right in the middle of a small naan bread. Then, they put 5 large pieces of chicken on one side, and my kebab meat on the other side. Don't get me wrong, the meat was really nice - but when I order a mixed kebab, I want it mixed! Chop my chicken smaller, and mix with my kebab meat! Then, put my chilli sauce over that. Don't get me wrong, we'll order again, my favourite take away - but as Joey Swoll says - You need to do better!!

Donner Barm and the Donner meat is the best I've ever had 👍

We always go here. Gorgeous food and the owner is very polite and helpful. 10/10 can’t recommend enough.

Ordered from here previously and it’s always been great . Tonight however , the food was cold, the chicken was very rubbery, calzone was flat with no filling and very hard , overall not a great take away at all. You expect to eat what you pay for … this has really put us off ordering from here again. Disappointed .

AlwYs had great food till today. Contacted them after delivery today to complain not replied obviously they don't carenor would have responded. Food cold and soggy salad vile and soggy . Very disappointed used them for years

Was passing Called in ordered food for 4 didn't have along wait about 15 mins food was hot when reached home as I don't live in the same area food was tasty no issues would go back no issues.

Love the rice box and munch box

I wouldn’t even give it 1/5. Pizza undercooked, hard (stale) naan breads, curry sauce didn’t taste like curry. They ‘forgot’ the free garlic bread and the driver admitted they don’t check orders when they leave the shop. So to sum it up, terrible, tasteless, undercooked food the service is shocking and it’s overpriced so I strongly advise you go somewhere else!

Normally really good, delivery arrived cold (when I live 5mins away), small portion and without salad as ordered, very disappointing as normally 5 star kebabs

Ordered the munchies kebab box absoluteley terrible food lamb wasnt even lamb tasted like boiled beef . Naan bread not home made , mass produced rubbish at 25 quid for 2 kebabs definiteley not the quality i would expect . Smothered in garlic mayo and chilli sauce which was not advertised in the dish description . Meat piled on top of undercooked chips making them soggy and inedible all in all the worst experience ive had with takeaway food ever

Placed an order within two minutes walking distance and about an hour later l had to phone again. Received slightly warm food which indicated it was sitting on top the oven for long. I will never try this takeaway again.

Gone downhill, kebabs are not as good as they used to be and the pizzas are currently very salty. On the positive though, they always deliver quickly.

Surprised at the poor reviews: never buy anything really OTT generally a naan kebab, rice box etc, but it’s always been good , priced well and they deliver. Not sure if we’ve been lucky due by ordering quite run of the mill things, but no problems to date , will order again

We ordered first time tonight ,they said would be over 2 hour but was here before and food was excellent 👌. Can non fault there kebab and kids also enjoyed, definitely order again. My last post wast great but this one not so as we have ordered same every time and been good. Tonight was disappointing as sides weren't there and not so warm and breads were hard,my little girl was gutted 😢 as I was . You expect to get what you pay for and all so gave a tip as we all ways do .....

Just ordered the lamb shwarmer punjabi style..(not sure the correct spelling ) it arrived red hot and fresh. Its the best kebab iv jad in many years.and deserves recognition..thanks faz. Lets hope your on the inclimb..100000% recommended.

Tonights order was the last I make from Farzs. Was once a fantastic pizza and kebab shop...Now they are careless. Cold and uncooked food, pizza dough wasn't even warm and chips were hard and pale.. Had my doubts when the food turned up 14 mins after ordering and I live 10 mins away.

Ordered loads of times from here and loved it but ordered today and pizza's were awful cheese was so thick it was sickening I rang to complain and feedback I get is well done over 200 pizza's today same chef for years now and had no complaints well you have now!!!! I suggested to come and collect them to see for themselves and they said well we shut in 29 minutes and got other deliveries to do. Thanks for that won't order again EVER standard's dropped maybe covid effected them !!!!!

I ordered a kebab with no salad & chilli sauce, it arrived 45 mins later in a broken (split) tray, was cold & loaded with salad. I rang up to complain & was given numerous excuses but no replacement. I will only be ripped-off once & won't be ordering from this dump again.

Waste of space ordered and asked for no sauce and ended up coming with sauce we clearly asked for no sauce and they were saying no won’t be ordering from there again useless and waste of money

Ordered at 8.30pm via the website rang at 10pm asking where our food was, they promised it would be 10 mins max which is still a horrendous time to wait for food ( 2hrs 10 mins!!! ) still no food at 10.40pm so rang to cancel, hopefully will get a refund. This isn't the first time the delivery has been bad. Wont be ordering again.

What a joke we placed our order at 7:45 I phoned at 8:35 said they were busy it then turned up at 9:20 half the order was missing Phoned when the driver was here they told me they realised that they had missed half the order and sent another driver out with the rest 2 munch boxes were on the waysecond driver shows up with only one phoned b ack 3rd time not happy at this point now sending a second munch box its a shame coz it's really nice food Update its now 10:32 and still no second munch box

ordered kebab donner chk tikka and donner meat and chips on thursday 7th of may made a mistake when ordering for collection and they rang me to confirm and kindly delivered the food even though they was very busy !!! was told to give delivery driver the extra for delivery which was fine and when it was delivered the boss farz personally delivered it and refused the del charge he was driving to help out as they was busy the food was great nice to see farz also thanks again buddy

Ordered large Donna kebab with hot chilli sauce. Came was very small, tasted horrible and the chilli sauce was sweet. Won't be ordering again.

Overall I guess its OK. The indian bread products let it down the most along with sometimes stringy or gristle-laden chicken and especially lamb. The sauces are actually very good. Very very good, perfect spice balance. Too many curry houses over-whelm their sauces with chilli powder trying to cater to "British taste" thinking all we want is heat. Farz' can be guilty of this sometimes but usually you get sauces that are very well balanced and you are able to taste the nuonces of the dish. The bread issue may just be a moisture or oven temp thing but we often find the naans/paratha/roti to be too doughy

I use these guys a lot and they always deliver hot tasty food (almost) on time. Its cheap and cheerful but that's what you want from a takeaway. Shame they stopped doing the Indian food.

Every time we have ordered it's taken over an hour. This time 1hr 15mins (hence the review) We live less than a mile away, but always the same...warm soggy food. They need better management! No one should have to wait that long. Won't order again.

Just rang with a big order as ive had a few drinks so cant drive to be told on phone they dont deliver to Hindley even though they delivered to friends of ours in hindley last week and it says they do on the menu....... Just can't be arsed. WONT BE USING AGAIN. shame because the food is spot on.

Have had 2 Home delivery’s from this takeaway now. Both ordered online. Both took 1 hr 30 mins to arrive and both times the food was just about warm. Last time I paid cash on delivery and took the driver about 15 Mins to count out £4 ish in change. Think he thought I was going to let him off. Not impressed at all. Won’t be ordering from them again.

We have been ordering from Farz's quite a bit recently. We really enjoy all the things we order, inc. kebabs and burgers and pizzas (the garlic cheese pizza is amazing!) coleslaw is also great! Some things can be a bit hotter than expected (that's from a chili lover!) delivery is always prompt and the delivery people are always friendly. Will continue with them.

Eat here weekly. 14" chicken and sweetcorn with a bbq base for ben with 2 cans of rubicon, one passionfruit and one guava. The pizza is always on top form. Those guys nail it every time. And they're all really friendly. Excellent service. Highly recommend! 👌

The food was just short of 2 hours late, and only just warm, the ribs are absolutely atrocious, looked in the box to see what looked like dog chew. The smell was discusting too. Definitely not ordering from here again and I would not recommend it. Not worth the money at all.
