Fair Shot Cafe in City of London, Westminster

This cafe was awesome. The interior was very inviting and warm. I didn’t know the matcha came with cinnamon and when I asked about it, they refunded me for my drink and gave me a new one for free. The worker was so kind and made sure I had a good experience in this cafe. By far one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had!

We had here the first breakfast of our journey and we ended up in coming all the morning of our stay in London. The food is delicious, both sweet and savoury offers, there are plenty of beverages to choose and several tables to enjoy the breakfast inside. The staff is so nice, it was a cuddle to come back and be recognized and welcomed. So happy to don't feel strangers. Highly recommended.

Easily my favourite cafe in London! The food (salted caramel brownie) and coffee (iced vanilla latte) was incredible, and such a welcoming and accessible environment. I wear a mask because of my disability, and the barista saw and put a mask on to interact with me, which was the sweetest thing and made the experience a lot safer for me! Love this place so much!

This is a cafe working in a, worthy cause... but don't be lulled in to thinking you'll have make do and mend here, it's an excellent cafe and definitely worth a visit. Please go if you're in the Covent Garden area

I have not yet had the opportunity to visit the cafe in person. However, I am an autistic young adult who was interested in Fair Shot's traineeship/apprenticeship program for learning disabled and/or autistic young adults, as I would love to work in the hospitality industry (especially as I'm studying for a BSc in Nutrition & Health). I enquired in mid July, and the website says that you'd get back in touch when applications open with an invite to an open evening. I am aware of the possibility I simply enquired too late, but it seems you didn't even have the courtesy to reply to either the email I sent over a month ago (18th of July; I went through my entire spam too and nothing was there) or a follow up Instagram direcy message sent over a week ago (16th of August), even if it was to let me know that unfortunately I had had enquired too late and I should try again next year. In all honesty, it's really disappointing. Especially that, given your ethos, an EHCP is a requirement of the program. I understand if you're running a apprenticeship program specifically for autistic and learning disabled young people you need proof of disability. I just think requiring an EHCP is the wrong way to go about it when many autistic people, myself included, do not meet the criteria to have an EHCP. My local council will only issues EHCP's for people with exceptional special educational needs. My needs aren't super exceptional compared to profoundly autistic people who need more care and support than I do, but it doesn't mean I'm not autistic, and I should still be able to enquire about this program because I would find a mainstream learning environment difficult.

Had a great experience in the cafe today. Met some lovely staff and had beautiful coffee with croissants. A hidden gem with an ever better message behind it. Such a great idea 😊

An amazing cafe, flet so welcoming. It's really nice that they help people with learning difficulties get into paid employment. This I really appreciate having a family member who has autism. The food choice seemed limited bit I had the most delicious beetroot focachia which was surprisingly filling. There's a great choice of hot drinks. Definitely recommend the fresh mint tea!

Delicious pastries and cake and lovely atmosphere. Staff were very friendly too! We love the mission of the cafe as well. Maybe not the best place to work as the staff advised me to connect to the wifi at a nearby shop but I was unable to do so.

Had a bowl (salad) plus cappuccino & iced coffee. Everything was very tasty and great price. Great concept & nice staff!

Absolutely loved visiting @fairshotcafe today the whole ethos of the place is amazing, the team were brilliant and fun. Giving everyone “a fair shot” is the ethos and it is wonderful.

The fact that this place exists makes feel better about the world. Great food (toasted chorizo and roast potato focaccia) but with the benefit of trying to do something good for people who need it.

It's a great coffee shop. The staff take good care of people with disabilities. The food is also very good. I recommend everyone to come to Covent Garden shopping when you are tired.

Very cute space and of course, the intent/mission of this space is simply wonderful. I came in for just a quick coffee and pastry, but ended up lingering a bit longer to pass time because it was just that pleasant! Prices was very affordable.

NO WI-FI! Don’t come here hoping to work because they don’t have WiFi anymore - also sorry but food is pricey even for London and not so good. And I just spent 10£ thinking I could work here but gonna have to go elsewhere

A very disappointing experience. Unfortunately when we arrived the whole restaurant was very dirty and there was no clean place to sit. Unfortunately they had also run out of ice and therefore we couldn’t get a cold drink. There was a very small choice of pastries.

The courgette sandwich tastes amazing and has a generous amount, the focaccia was so crunchy and warm. The coffee was good enough. A homeless person came in and started to talk to me, but the staff dealt with the situation quite quickly.

A great cause, they should be very proud of all the good they are doing with thier training program helping people with disabilities get into the workplace. What a great way to teach hospitality in readiness for future jobs in the working world! The staff trainees all lovely, well managed, friendly and the food and beverages excellent too.

I ordered an iced chia latte with oat milk for £4.50, but it was mostly ice. Although it tasted good, I'm disappointed with the small amount of liquid for the price. I finished it in one sip!!!! Therefore, I'm leaving them a very low review.

Stumbled upon Fair Shot Café with my family and decided to give it a try as coffee looked good in a nice relaxed setting. Service was excellent with coffee arriving quickly. On reading a leaflet whilst enjoying my coffee I then started to understand the ethos behind the café - 95% of people with a disability are unemployed and that they are set to change that giving them the training and experience for a career in hospitality. All I can say is that it was the best coffee and service I’ve had in a cafe for a long time which speaks volumes…

I recently visited this cafe, hoping to support its good mission, but unfortunately my experience left much to be desired. Despite the high prices, the quality of the food fell short! I paid £8 for a salted beef bagel, only to find it severely lacking in beef!!! Also, please be aware that the cafe enforces a strict no-laptop and WiFi policy on weekends, which can be inconvenient for those who works in different patterns. Thus, the disconnection between the cafe’s name and its actual practices is totally disappointing. Never again!

I absolutely loved visiting Fair Shot for the first time last week. The setting is beautiful and all the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. I ordered a coffee then a salad and both were delicious. I look forward to coming back soon!

I recently read an article about this cafe & knew it was one to check out. What an incredibly lovely experience 🙌🏻 The staff were friendly, timely, and very professional. The food (tomato soup/sourdough) & coffee were wonderful. The atmosphere is so welcoming- a perfect place to meet friends, take a break, have a chat, read a book, do some work. I will definitely be back.

Love reading about this cafe, and how it supports young adults with learning disabilities, it’s wonderful such places exist! However I was a bit disappointed with my pistachio croissant, as it was not freshly made, and tasted like it was a few days old. The latte I had was made with care by the barista, it wasn’t strong coffee, but I didn’t mind. Note: I visited on a Saturday morning The atmosphere is nice and peaceful with lots of tables to choose from. I hope to give the pastries another try.

The dedication of the staff is truly inspiring, and it's evident that they take immense pride in their work. Overall, I can't recommend this cafe highly enough. Truly worthwhile costs.

Great food. Lots of vegan pastry options and non-vegan. The music is wonderful and the WiFi is decent. Service is very friendly. Toilet are clean, and have some really lovely smelling hand lotion.

What a lovely cafe and a gem of a find. I had a black Americano and huge pistachio croissant (came to around £8) which was delicious. They have a good selection of small cakes and cookies as well as pastries and savoury items like croissants with cheese and ham and smoked salmon bagels. The atmosphere is gorgeous and I can't get over the blush pink ceramics and marble tabletops. It also has a ethos where they support people with learning disabilities so all the more reason to stop by this particular coffee shop if you're in the area.

A cute side-street cafe with really good coffee and coffee alternatives! The service can be a little jarring at first, but everyone is friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable for London and profit goes to a good cause. There’s plenty of seating, especially when the upstairs area is open.

I was on a trip to London with my friend and we were originally travelling to a different cafe when we passed by Fair Shot and thought we would give it a go. We had no knowledge of this place or its background before entering, but finding out through all of the little statistics and writing on the walls was so heartwarming!!! Anytime you look around this place, there’s a little joke or fact hidden away, it’s like you discover a new secret part every time!! The staff were honestly so helpful and sweet, after discovering the fact that they were all people with learning disabilities, it made their helpfulness even sweeter in our hearts. It’s so nice to see them putting themselves out there, and its even nicer to see that there’s a place giving people the opportunities that they deserve! Food was honestly so amazing, and shockingly cheap for london prices! My friend ordered this big sandwich (?) thing of which he assumed would be about £14… it was £8.50!? Also, oh my gosh!!!! The vanilla latte I ordered was honestly the best I’ve ever had, and I promise you - that’s no lie whatsoever!! Perfect for my tastes 😁 In conclusion, the food, service, and the overall sweetness of the place was gorgeous! Honestly made my final morning in London 10000x better! Such a cute little cozy place with amazing staff and food! You’ll definitely be seeing me again! xx

Great café! Smoked salmon bagel and blueberry cardamom bun are amazing! And the idea behind this cafe is to support individuals with learning disabilities with providing training and paid employment to them. So I would definitely recommend to go there.

Never mind all the good they're doing here, the coffee, sandwiches, cakes and service are incredible! Very quick service, and they bring it to your table after you've ordered it. A large selection and very tasty. Add to that the fact that they're helping the unemployed, and it's altogether a feel good trip:)

Great concept and lovely food and desserts!

We used the meeting space upstairs for a networking event & it was so amazing to have our own personal private area away from the café downstairs. Rachel was amazing in organising, making it super breezy and we were really grateful to have her share a few words on Fair Shot and the incredible work they’re doing. Keep it up.

Great tasting coffee, super staff, and table service in a clean and welcoming space. Fair Shot Cafe became our favourite coffee place after our first visit! We ended up making several visits during our holiday in London, it's just a shame we live over 200 miles away :( I did buy some of the coffee beans though so at least I'll be able to try and replicate the coffees if not the place itself :)

Just went in for a hot drink, so I can't make any comments on the food. Had a beetroot and Ginger latte, it was great! Had not tried that before. I love that they are giving people with disabilities the opportunity to prove that they are just as capable as anyone else to hold a proper job. I hope to see more places like this in the near future. Thank you for making this happen!

A lovely quiet spot with friendly helpful staff 💗

The boardroom upstairs is a secret gem! Right in the heart of Covent Garden and super easy for all our team to get to. We used the space for a brainstorming session, and the flat-screen TV and whiteboard were extremely useful for our presentations. Plus, the catering options were a great add-on making it a hassle-free event.

We placed a large order for a corporate lunch and it all arrived on time and was delicious. Staff kept coming back for more! A wonderful company.

We held our In Good Company launch event at Fair Shot recently and could not have asked for a more perfect event venue. The team were so helpful in the planning and in running things on the night. The space was perfect for our 45+ attendees having drinks and nibbles and socialising. The space feels professional whilst also being warm and inviting. We really couldn't have asked for better. We'll certainly return for future events and are keen to use their board room for smaller work-day events. A huge thank you to the team!!!
