Absolutely the most attentive service and the food was fabulous. Always will be a no.1 restaurant for family and friends.

We had a great evening at Fabios tonight for my granddaughters 9th birthday! The food was excellent and the staff were amazing too! A very busy restaurant but no decline in service or attention! It’s such a good idea to have main pasta dishes as starter sizes especially if you have a starter aswell ! Delicious food and great fast service! Can’t wait to return

The best food I've had for a long time in an incredible little gem. Was asked when booking if a table downstairs would be ok and agreed as we didn't know the layout. Was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere although quite loud at times (a few well-oiled female patrons) but all relaxed. The owner and stay were warm, thoughtful and attentive. I loved the impressionist artwork Fabio has produced on the walls in his restaurant and it was lovely to meet another Sardinian who was as lovely as our Sardinian friends back home on cambridge.the food was fabulous and made with good ingredients. I only wish we had such a good Italian near us, although I'd be in it all the time! Thanks for the great effort you made, it rounded our day off deliciously. X

Can't fault this place at all. Very busy, all tables were full when we visited, but the space contained the noise and we could talk easily without having to shout. Food was exceptionally good, I had vegetarian lasagne, and it was the best I've ever had, so tasty and well presented. Dessert was also very enjoyable. Waiting staff were very attentive even though they were incredibly busy. They were all very friendly, helpful, and professional. If you visit or are passing Swindon old town, make sure you go to Fabios!

What a great restaurant. A friend and I came upon it by chance whilst visiting Swindon from Yorkshire and having a night out in the Old Town on Friday 20th September. Looks like a small shop from outside but dining area is surprisingly large. Friendly staff, great speedy service, delicious food and good value. It was also nice to see the owner walking around checking everything was okay and chatting to guests, the sign of a well managed operation, exactly how it should be done. We will definitely go again next time we are in Swindon.

Atmosphere off the Rictor scale. Food was more than amazing Service was excellent,staff friendly and informative. Good choice of wine along with good advice. Menu was lovely the choice was more than imaginative. Puddings so tempting only a saint would refuse. The Pope would dine at Fabio’s.

Came here for a family birthday meal at the weekend. As always, the service is great, you’re not left hanging, drinks are regularly checked and the food is so good. Man sized portions. Even though we’d all had starters and a main, you cannot leave without tasting the homemade tiramisu, so we all shared some and look forward to eating here again, sooner rather than later.

Absolutely delicious! Had the mozzarella starter, arabbiata main and tiramisu for dessert, and it was all incredible. The staff were also very very lovely. Quick service but you don’t feel like you’re being rushed at all.

Very average food. They provide large side portions to compensate for bland mains but the sides are not particularly nice; think dry potatoes and frozen vegetables. Major issue is the service. Waiter expected a large tip and was very rude when offered a smaller tip. Even though the meal was standard and service was nothing over the minimal level required. Would not recommend

Visited Fabio’s on early Saturday night and it was busy as always with lots of family group and friends, so a buzz and quite noisy. The staff were attentive and quick; we ordered the Mozzarella and Funghi Fritti for starters which were good; then we went for the Spaghetti Bolognaise and Mushroom, Pea and Asparagus Risotto which was really delicious and was so filling I couldn’t finish it and we took the leftovers home. That went down a treat the next day. We did order garlic bread with cheese but unfortunately that was underwhelming and soggy, but everything else was good, service was quick and the staff are all super friendly. This is definitely recommended for good food, quick service and a nice family feel.

While the food at Fabio’s was delightful, my experience was compromised by the unprofessional behavior of one of their waitresses. Despite the delicious dishes and prompt service from the rest of the staff, the demeanor of this waitress detracted significantly from the overall enjoyment of the meal. Throughout our meal, she displayed a blatant disregard for customer service, rolling her eyes and treating us with disrespect. It's disheartening that her behavior overshadowed the otherwise enjoyable dining experience provided by the other dedicated staff members. I highly commend the chefs for their culinary skills and the remaining staff for their attentive service. However, until the management addresses the issue of poor customer treatment by designated staff members, I cannot recommend dining here.

We came here for a company function, with 23 people. The team at Fabio's were brilliant, providing us with a pre-order form, and were happy to cater for gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian diners, making sure that they spoke to each individual, assuring them of the changes made to their orders. Food was delivered quickly, with a smile, and they were able to give us 6 different bills because we had given them the info in advance. The food was delicious, and I would thoroughly recommend them.

Having recently visited Fabio's for our work Xmas meal, I felt it imperative to leave a review! From booking through to the actual event, everything was flawless. Prior to our visit Gianni answered all my questions promptly, accommodated all our needs and happily accepted several changes to the booking along the way. Thank you Gianni! On the night, the restaurant was packed and understandably so. The organisation for our party of approx 30 was seamless, the staff friendly and attentive and the food was absolutely superb. Hot, prompt and excellent quality. A special thanks to Emily who took great care of us when we were first seated, amidst the chaos of our rabble you managed to take control and ensure we all had our starters in no time! We all had a really enjoyable night, shall book again and will be sure to recommend your restaurant to others. Thank you to the whole Team.

After not being able to get to a pre booked restaurant because of floods we had to make some quick decisions as to where to try for an 85th birthday celebration. The first we tried was Fabios in Old Town Swindon and much to our surprise they said they would try their best to fit us in but we might have to wait a while after we arrived. It was a very busy Friday evening but the wait was only for a very short time and we were shown to a large table downstairs. This was in a very good position slightly away from the rest of the tables and suited the 6 of us extremely well. A really lovely menu with plenty of choices which suited all of us. The food was delicious, the staff extremely efficient and very friendly which made it a really great evening. There was even small cake with candle presented which made the occasion really special. We will certainly be returning, not necessarily as a group but perhaps individually as it was a really great experience. Well done to all who helped make this a special evening.

Fabio’s Restaurant in Old Town has been a family favourite for nigh on thirty years, since my parents first took me there as a kid. Every experience was a special moment, it was always a treat to dine there. Gianni, and his attentive team, treats us as royalty and still gives us attention despite their regular, enormous amount of covers. Always an ‘on-the-house’ aperitif offered to close the meal. As for the food, I recommend sticking close to the traditional structure for Italian dining: • Antipasti: a couple of small shared dishes, such as: ≈ insalata di mozzarella e pomodori ≈ insalata di mare ≈ trio fritti • Followed by Primo (1° course): pasta dishes served as starter portions especially, the fettuccine: ≈ fettuccine al salmone ≈ fettuccine all’ortolana • Secondo (2°): go for a special if possible, the fish is usually a standout, or: ≈ pollo alla’cacciatora ≈ filetto rossini / filetto alla boscaiola • Contorno (sides): usually comes with the main so no need to order separately • Dolce (dessert): panna cotta or banana di fabio followed by espresso/latte + digestivo, limoncello being a personal favourite Suitable for: ≈ Romantic meals, family, parties, solo dining ≈ IBS-friendly, just ask for alternatives and they’ll accommodate ≈ Portion sizes appropriate to Italian meal structures ≈ Vegetarians

The ambience in this restaurant was just superb. Tuesday evening and packed! That tells you something! My food wasn’t exceptional yet tasty enough. The service was truly excellent. Engaging, personable and with a smile at all times. All 12 of us enjoyed our visit.
