Ernie's Plaice in West Dunbartonshire

We ordered the food online, and when it came, I was disgusted to see the fish was soggy with very raw batter. The chips were undercooked and we found two flies in a portion of fish and chips. I will never ever order from there again, and I recommend to people in my opinion to find somewhere decent to eat as this this is like crap. I will be contacting trading standards regarding the standard of cooking and presentation. Stop give this one a miss

We were staying overnight up the road on our way to Mull and after 2 years of leaving Scotland were desperate for decent fish & chips, just can't find anything down South. We weren't disappointed the chips were chunky & juicy, the fish flaky & delicate. Fantastic value too, large & small fish supper + mushy peas under £15, amazing!! Portion size huge!! Two portions of fish for the large supper. Sitting here contently stuffed :)

Choice of food on the menu is great and portions are very good. Service is good, it is a popular eatery so you need to order as soon as you are feeling peckish

I have just had my first and last ever fish supper from Ernie's chippy in Alexandria the batter was soggy and so badly burnt it was almost unrecognisable the fish was very dry and hard it was most definitely not freshly made and tasted disgusting.my cat would not even touch it.How can a chippy make fish so badly.the chips tasted oily and also soggy. If I ever want another fish supper I know where not to go.definetly zero rating from me😝👎

I always order from here now. Good portions and plenty of choice. Hoagie Wrap or King Rib supper are my favourite. Cheaper if you order on there own online site than using just eat as well.

I'm not an expert writer. Just going to say it was the Best fish n chips we've had in over a decade and staff were very friendly and cheery. we will be back soon! Cheers George and family.

A good place for a fish supper or pizza as well as the normal chip shop favourites this shop has won many awards a good tradition fish and chip carry out

Nos superan un largo (más de lo que esperábamos!) Viaje entre Argyll y Glasgow Airport, y parado aquí para pescado y patatas fritas. El pescado y las patatas fritas son muy sabrosos y las porciones bien - es más pequeña y las patatas fritas fishcake, pescado y patatas medianas y cena con dos peces grandes (pescado).
