I was recently introduced to this establishment, I absolutely love it....everytime i visit staff and manager are very professional, friendly and genuinely look after you. When they close there is a night club just across the street until 3am....if you last long enough as the alcohol is pennies 😆

Dive!! Absolute dive bar. No toilet roll. Toilets doors didn't lock. Bad service. Dirty.

I have discovered this place just recently and really like it, always good prices and friendly staff

Been in a few times it’s always dead. I often walk past on my way to the bus station and many a time I’ve seen a young girl working on her own even late at night I think this quite concerning

Went in on Tuesday evening with my family and kids for food, we ended up leaving as the bar maid was rude, argumentative and sarcastic! I would not recommend going here. The place was empty! I think your business would do better if you get new staff!

Staff absolutely no customer service skills at all apart from rude and judgemental, very rude no time and abrupt to customers a very picky who you want service. No knowledge on bladder conditions, in which your staff made this very embarrassing for an individual with bladder problems. Would not recommend at all.

The best place for you and your mates to unwind and have a great time. The service is top notch 100 percent. Met a few good folks.

Really nice food and lovely staff

Popped in around 5.30pm yesterday. Great bartender who gave us great advice on the wide range of cocktails available. Amazing cocktails at an even better price. As Arnie says, "I'll be back!"

Friendly service both at the bar and in the restaurant. The food was absolutely AMAZING! Cooked to perfection and tasty. We had the festive menu and I would absolutely recommend. Thank you to all at The Lounge!

Takes way too long to get drinks

Wonderful staff, very attentive, best cocktails ever available.

Booked the up stairs area for part of a stag do. Great space where you can basically do what you want with, has plenty seating a pool table. staff are super accomodating, helpful and did a great job looking after what we needed. 100% recommend this for parties etc!

Exceptional service, cocktails done to an extremely high standard. Cocktail mixologist Richard prepared wonderful concoctions - would highly recommend.

Fish and chips were lovely WHEN we finally got them! My dining companion had to wait 20 mins for his Guinness while I had 10 min wait for cola and jug of water and as for fair service, well, 4 other tables were served before us even though we were actually 3rd table in restaurant. Eventually after an hour I got told it was cooking now. Sorry, not good enough and you need to either get more staff or at least get trained staff in who are not running around like headless chickens (not their fault) though I doubt we will be back either with a Groupon voucher or not. This place has potential but only if it is run properly, which at present it is not.

Met some friends for lunch on 21st. Food was really good and great value. Not rushed and pleasant service. Only one critisism the music was quite loud and we all wanted to chat but missed some of the conversations. Would highly recommend a visit great central location😊

Waiter was nice and friendly restaurant was clean. However, it took over 30 minutes for food to arrive considering there was only 3 tables of 2 I thought this excessive. My food was tasty however, my friends burger was dry and un palatable.

Food was good and plenty of it. I enjoyed the meal and would go back. Very handy location just off Union Street. A little bit on the chilly side. I would choose to sit at the other side of the venue nearer the heaters. The lady waitress was lovely and helpful. The man asked if everything was ok but didn't stop walking to wait for our reply.

Lovely cocktails (when the machine is working) staff go out their way to make your order when it's not working though. We always pop in when in town

Went on a Thursday with a voucher. It was dead. At one point only people there. With voucher food was good value -wouldn't pay full price. If it's like that during week feels like it's not got long left. Bit tired. Ok but certainly nothing more. Staff were pleasant enough but no-one there and Can t see that changing. Food ok tho.

Good food Lovely homemade chutney with the homemade burgers. Staff very attentive. Mandy made me very comfortable with cushion at my back to ease my joint pain. Definitely go back. Good night.

Understaffed. Waiting 15 minutes at bar but no staff. Went upstairs again no staff. Man appeared from bottom floor, maybe toilet? Ordered food but low on stock. My brother, wife and myself where only ones there, so was expecting food to be quickly served but must have taken over an hour to get food. Won't be back until changes are made or training for staff is supplied.

This bar/restaurant is definitely worth a visit.Menu good, service maybe a little slow but the food is made to order. It is not a fast food joint

Really relaxed atmosphere. Great food & fantastic cocktails. Amanda the waitress was so friendly, helpful and she makes wonderful cocktails. She is a credit to the company. Will definitely return.

Went in for food with a Groupon, bar is quiet enough, food id really good with very big helpings, we both struggled with to finish our mains. The guy working was friendly tough enough task to wait on the tables upstairs and run the bar downstairs but he was coping. Booked a meal for a group of 12 next week so I'll see what everybody thinks!

Seemed like a nice and friendly bar when we went in.. was quiet though as at one point was just me and my partner however drinks were amazing! Staff were friendly too

Understaffed and undertrained staff. No one to greet us at the restaurant. We had to chase down a member of staff to show us to a table. We had a Groupon voucher for a steak dinner which was good value but no-one asked if we wanted a drink before dinner, or a starter, or a dessert. We ended up not having any of them. Lost revenue! A couple on the next table to us decided that enough was enough and upped and left before they got their mains. They were in before us but had still not received their mains by the time we had finished ours. This place is in a prime location and has so much potential but unless they get their act in gear they won’t be in business for much longer. The owner needs a kick up the *rse!

Overall I really enjoyed The Lounge. We had steak with a bottle of wine and the food was cooked really well, so very pleased.

This place once had potential, but after their unfair dismissal of the chef the quality of the food has seriously gone down hill. The place is always empty and the staff leave much to be desired.

Had the most delicious food here last night, I had lasagne salad and garlic bread with side of coleslaw and hubby had the lounge burger both meals stunningly presented to us and so delicious our plates were cleared of every morsel of food, drinks were nice and no hefty bill so an added bonus. We were served by Ben who on both occasions has made us feel welcomed and nothing was too much bother for him - top class venue and will definitely be back, dying to try their sharing starter of chicken wings and onions rights with dip
