Enfield Art Cafe in City of London, Westminster

This place is our favourite ❤️I don't know how many times we have visited. Food is amazing here. The best coffee in town too. Service is so friendly and professional 💕highly recommended.

Went in for a nice breakfast with my child. Ordered eggs florentine. The spinach was thick with salt. it was inedible. I told the manager I couldn't eat it and it actually put me off ordering anything else. All I could taste was salt. She kept repeating no salt was added to the spinach. I asked if it was fresh or tinned. She implied it was fresh (which is what it seemed to be). I said if it was fresh, then salt must have been added. This isn't just a taste issue; a lot of people can't have salt in their diets for health reasons such as high blood pressure or heart conditions, hence why salt is on the table to add to taste after it is cooked. And these were really high levels of salt. I found this manager patronising. She didn't concede the point and it felt that it was turning into an argument. It took her a long time to actually apologise for this poor dining experience. She said she wouldn't charge me for the meal (which I would not expect her to). When I asked if she was going to offer a discount on the rest of the meal or a voucher as a good will gesture, she refused. When I went up to pay and leave, I asked for her to confirm that she was not going to offer any gesture of good will for this poor dining experience. She kept repeating that she couldn't. She was patronising and unhelpful; rather than acknowledging what had gone wrong and making an effort to correct it. When pushed, she said that she could have offered the coffee for free (but then didn't!). It started to feel like she was enjoying being unhelpful and dragging this incident into an argument. I asked again if she was the manager; apparently yes. I asked her for her directors' contact details and for her name. She gave me their email but not her name so I then had to ask her again for her name which she gave (Gemma). At this point I just wanted to pay and leave rather than feel I was in an endless back and forth with someone who just didn't have the right attitude or flexibility to be front of house. But still she seemed to want to repeat herself like a robot rather than do the right thing. Just as I'd paid, she said in a voice dripping with sarcasm and arrogance, Thank you for a lovely experience and have a lovely day. At which point, my patience was finally lost and I told her where to go. What a horrible individual. And what an appalling experience of customer service.

i love the ambience of this cafe, the food is alright but overall the experience is what really makes it special

For my family, this has become the place to take a coffee break from shopping or a meal from a fairly creative menu! The environment chilled, with jazz playing softly in the background and exceptionally friendly staff, it has an array of instruments for sale if you in the market for one.Breakfast was good and at a reasonable price. I have to say though (and I've been coming in here for a while), the cafe/restaurant must have had considerable remodelling since some of the pics here were taken.

Wide range of sandwiches, baguettes, toasties etc. Burgers are good. Only issue is that they sometimes let friends/family sit there taking up room and with phones/tablets on speaker

Have eaten lunch there several times and have been very happy with the food and service. Nice vibe, large area but cosy. Also my work held our Christmas Celebration there last December and it was a great night all round. It was a Thursday, restaurant was a little quiet and we were able to enjoy a 'private' little party with my colleagues at the far back which was most enjoyable. Prices good and location central. Definitely recommend.

Six of us went to the restaurant. I have visited the Art Cafe previously for lunch on a weekday. This visit was on a Sunday lunchtime. The service was excellent. Friendly, accommodating staff and a lovely atmosphere. We had starters, main and dessert. All the dishes were exceptional. The portions were big and tasty. My family enjoyed the experience and I have recommended the restaurant to our extended family and friends. Well done for creating something special in Enfield.

I’ve been meaning to come here for a while and on hearing they take tastecard I had a good reason to visit.The menu doesn’t really have a theme or definitive style.The selection is a bit mush mash. I had the prawns with the vegetable skewers, which were quite nice but the skewers were very short with the tiniest pieces of onion, pepper that I ever saw, a small bowl of rice and about 8 not very king size prawns.... it was ok, but not filling, and certainly not enough for a big appetite. My friend had salmon and she said it was nice. The portion size was better.We ordered a crumble which whilst described as traditional was anything but..... arrived in minutes of ordering confirmation that it was a microwaved pud that had probably been sitting around for days, tasted stale and was very dry....large portion..... no custard mentioned on menu, but when we asked they said we could have some...... they must think that their customers are The Borrowers as the jug was TINY..... probably meant as a milk jug for one cup...... we were so surprised at how tiny we asked if we could have some more as it was probably only a tablespoonful...... they returned with the same jugs with another tablespoons worth inside!,,,,,We had 2 for 1 on tastecard. We still would not return..... There was a young couple sitting next to us for an hour and a half mucking about just taking selfies..... they had a coffee when we came in and nothing else, they just wanted somewhere to hang out..... another 2 tables with 3 people on each having drinks.... this place needs to decide whether they want to be a cafe by day and restaurant by night, or a cafe by day and wine bar/cafe by night, there was zero atmosphere, staff had to be called if we wanted anything as they completely ignored us.... they need direction and identity and then they will by much busier during the weekday evenings.

Quiero decir, el desayuno mediterráneo en sí era diferente, sin embargo, no cumple con el contenido de dicha categoría. Aunque el plato requería comer con pan (miel, etc.) el plato llegó con solo 2 pequeñas rebanadas de pan. Luego pedimos 4 rebanadas más. Sólo 2 pequeñas rebanadas llegaron. En realidad, fue 1 rebanada cortada por la mitad! ! ! No disfrutar del desayuno en absoluto! Le recomendaría visitar cualquier otro lugar para desayunar.

what a lovely venue the r&b band that played was very good. the service and food was very good . I would definitely be coming back again on a Friday night.

Had an amazing time here. Staff lovely always get a friendly welcome. Food is delicious with a varied menu. The music is great too. Have been back a few times.

Art town is a very good cafe as it has a good variety of food on it's menu and plays good music. Service is good. A small thing - I would like bigger coffee cups. Friday evening blues/ jazz band is great!

having said we would not visit here again after our first experience, we relented and gave this place one more try. Unfortunately, this was a mistake as their idea of customer service is very poor and the prices are not justified by either the quality of the food and drink or by the atmosphere and service. We will not be visiting again as we have now found a far better alternative just around the corner.

We visited this place 6-7 times last 3 months and can say, that the food is good. We like to eat our breakfast near the piano. It is a very relaxed and cozy place. We love the smooth and calming music there. The staff is always friendly and helpful, even today, when by mistake we ordered meat burger instead of vegetarian. They replaced it without charging us. The place is a little gem.

Our friends booked this restaurant based on Tripadvisor ratings, and what a great find. Ambience, food, service and price all excellent. So much so, we have booked again on a night they have live music. Check out their website.

Wow great place to eat meet and have a great night food was great staff very friendly .No rushing to order there ready when you are . Nice to have a drink before your meal and chat with friends with no pressure staff lovely and friendly . the band was a added bonus which is on fridays and saturdays . They include all the restaurant and everyone enjoyed it .very reasonably priced and a great menu . That holiday feel to the evening and very relaxed. So id recommend to anyone to give this place a try i will certainly be going back .Perfect for couples and friends a night to remember .

Ha sido un mes celebramos el cumpleaños de 60 de mi hermano en el arte de la ciudad y muy agradecido por su servicio. Hicimos las reservas y el gerente Ehlif trabajó con nosotros en nuestro plan y ¡oh! La noche fue una gozada! Mesas ur eran hermosos listo para nuestros clientes. La comida, música y servicio a través de la noche era de primera categoría. Tarta de crema y fruta fresca era delicioso Bien hecho Arte Ciudad Bistro. Un día inolvidable.

How difficult is it to make a toasted cheese sandwich? Or should I say how easy is it to ruin one? Possibly the worst lunch I have ever had. Would never return.

The best cafe in Enfield, with a varied menu, enjoyable atmosphere and friendly staff (hello, Suzy). The town needed this type of European yet unpretentious place to eat and relax. It's popular, too: the joint was jammed during lunchtime in the week. Hooray.

The art cafe sells good food and is reasonably quick at serving food - although drinks are not also so quick, they often arrive with the food. The food is good but it isn’t the cheapest - not always sure if it’s worth the price.

It’s just the best place in Enfield!thats what Enfield needs . staff very friendly always smiling and very welcoming .food very delicious we definitely be back again! Love the guitars on the wall and the decorations !

We like the cafe because of the hanging guitars on the walls and visit mainly for brunch. The food is nice if you are into modern Turkish cuisine. Other than that the experience is overshadowed by loud music and rather unfriendly staff - they take your order, bring the food but never tell you that you need to pay at the bar whenever you are ready to leave, so you could be stuck there waiting until you figure it out on your own. No smile or politeness either which leaves you kind of feeling you are an intruder at the place.

If you want to have a meal and be able to hear each other speak then this cafe is a no no, the music is far too loud. Service is not particularly good, serve the meal across you rather than around you, meals do not arrive together. We had a mixed starter that we shared which was far superior to the main of king prawns that were over cooked and were more like king shrimps. i would not go back in the evening again but may go during the day. Shame had all the possibilities of being a great venue

Had light lunch here before and enjoyed if. A quick sandwich and a glass of wine. comfortable seating and clean toilets. reasonable.

I have been here for both breakfast and coffee. I thought it was a little expensive but the veggie breakfast was fine with a good choice. Coffee and cake is good but did not do almond milk which I prefer.

An excellent set up to enjoy an enthralling all night escapade if you want to experience a great casino atmosphere. The food is really nice, and the staff are also very accommodating. All areas of this venue, is on point with their service.

Was recommended this by a friend.Living local I pass by this venue on a daily basis.Of a daytime it seems to be some mums and their babies and others who want a different atmosphere to the chain brand coffee shops. My wife booked a reservation earlier in the week for us to attend on the Friday. Upon arrival the waitress didn't have our reservation,despite quickly looking round for a name card on a table.The venue wasn't totally full so a table was found.Luck was on their side then ! (About 4 tables left).Therefore ,of an evening, it's possibly not a walk-in-off-the-street-take-your-chance type of place. It's not a cheap experience.The food is fairly reasonably priced but the drinks are way over. £4.00 for a small bottle of Kronenburg, £4.50 for others.Cheapest wine (from memory) was about £14. The music, at the far end of the resuarant, could be a little loud if you were sat close.Obviously really ! Elsewhere in the restaurant it was ok.Wherever you are sat you can hear yourself talk to your companions ! It's not (and I'd imagine never is) a rowdy youth type atmosphere.It has a 'cosy' / mellow feeling and is an ideal glass-of-wine-chat type place.This is something that i think Enfield lacks.The venue isn't a pub nor a branded cafe as you'd know it. It's somewhere in between.Would I go again ? Yes, but maybe not for a while.Despite my mixed views, I'd like a second visit for a second opinion.

Food quality was good, but very disappointed with service. Waiting time was appalling never have I waited so long for my food to come! Very disappointing!

I've been a few times solo and family. Cappucinos delicious although a little smaller than the chain cafes. They do a tasty hot choolate...not too sweet. Love the music theme and the fact they have cosy seating for larger groups if uou want it and lots of local info on offer. A lovely community cafe.

We had a lovely evening,good food,drinks pricey, great staff apart from a guy in a red sweatshirt who spent the whole evening walking on /off the stage as the band were performing,filming on his phone,standing in front of the stage blocking customers view of the band,getting in the way of other staff.Running back & forward like an over excited kid for no apparent reason.The band,Kindela mi son,were fantastic but clearly irritated by Mr Red Sweatshirt.Please can the owners of the café reign in this young man as he is bad for business

The place itself was nice and comfortable in terms of seating area and environment. However, staff were not friendly and we did not feel welcomed. The coffe was Ok, did not want to stay for food.

Having been for a lengthy run in the nearby park with my partner I was looking forward to something hearty to eat afterwards. We have been to this cafe before and throughly enjoyed the unique music inspired decor. The staff are always polite and friendly and it is very family friendly also. Today however, I was disappointed with the English breakfast I ordered. The hash browns had no taste and were very greasy, in fact, not that I am by any means adverse to oily foods because, let's face it, cooked breakfasts fall squarely into that category, but the whole meal was overly greasy and I couldn't eat it all. The bacon was mostly fat and I throughly regret ordering it. The freshly made smoothies however were a redeeming factor. Very refreshing after a long run in the heat.

A delightful venue in the heart of Enfield Town, a place to meet friends for coffee, cake or something more adventurous from the day's menu. If you are lucky in the timing of your visit you may also get to enjoy live music and song. Found the staff to be attentive and helpful during our visit. Highly recommend this location.

I went out with my friends to go for my music lesson at the art cafe whilst they went down to the cafe and after when I went to order, the thing I ordered was great but the person serving was not friendly at all.

I stayed in Enfield for a week visiting relatives this March, I live in California. I went to the Art cafe almost every day and the staff there were very friendly and helpful. There was one woman I thought was a bit cold but sometimes that can simply be language difficulties, her first language was not English. After a short while it turned out she was fine. I also liked the food there. I liked my Salmon salad and it was reasonably priced. I had a lot of fun with the staff, not stuffy at all.

I met up with 4 other middle aged men for lunch in the Art Cafe. I very much enjoyed my lunch, which comprised a goat cheese and beetroot salad and a smoothie. The salad was substantial and reasonable value (£5:70 I think). The smoothie was expensive for a fairly small glass (£3:60 I think), but I realise smoothies are always quite expensive.The waiter was very helpful and friendly. I think we will go back.

I have visited this cafe almost every week since it opened. I find the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The salads are great value and generous portions. There is always a great atmosphere and I enjoy seeing the families who come here so their children can enjoy the play area. I would love it if they could have musical evenings here too!!

Came here with my friend on Saturday morning, I asked for 2 boiled eggs (what can be easier???!!!) and my friend asked for a toast with jam for her baby daughter to munch on smth while we have our coffees .... They brought us a big plate with sliced eggs in the middle and four pieces of toasted bread covered by jam were placed around the eggs... Eggs party covered by jam ... eggeggs around

It's unfortunate that other people have had bad experiences here, because I had a great experience the first time I went. Service was good - although staff seemed very busy! The food was great, it was all very fresh. You get a lot for your money. I will definitely be back again! Hopefully I will not be disappointed.

We had drinks here recently and s slim girl with a plait was terrible- had to be asked to provide a glass and ice for my expensive juice and made us wait at the counter while coffee was made. On second round a lovely man with a beard served us impeccably , and brought coffee to table. The young lady needs some training

When this cafe first opened, I was so pleased that a new 'child-friendly' cafe has opened in Enfield. We were in desperate need for a place like this in the local area, where mums & dads can take their kids to play, while we can sit back and enjoy a coffee and some lunch. This place has such potential to be brilliant, but unfortunately it has not lived up to my high hopes and expectations. Over the past few months, I have come here often, taking my child to play, but I always feel very unwelcome by the staff and they are not very friendly. This should be a lovely, warm and welcoming environment that can be enjoyed by everyone, but instead its not welcoming or child-friendly at all, and some staff are actually quite rude. Sadly, this is not the kind of place I will be coming to for much longer, if it does not improve a great deal. The play area could be a really lovely space, but instead its always dirty and full of broken toys and chairs. Such a shame, as I had high hopes for this place and it could be such a gem. If only the management and staff cared a little more.

First time we went there the place was new with great price,great food,great service plus play area for kids which is big advantage if you want to drink your coffee in peace. However after few months the staffs became unpleasant and the place bacame dirty. Not even mention the play area for kids where you suppose to take your shoes off but your shoes are cleaner than the play area. Play area for the kids not safe and dirty. I wouldn't recomend the place based on my experience

The Art Cafe is a great place for lunch, a coffee or tea and cake. It's really relaxed atmosphere with plenty of seating and a play area too. Reasonably priced, generally good staff and the food is decent. It's kept very clean and tidy, with enough servers clearing tables (makes a nice change to your chain coffee shops). I really like the Art cafe and meet friends here regularly. It's the best independent style cafe in the area, would highly recommend.

Music Shop & Art Cafe really is a great place to drink coffee and snack on very tasty light meals while being immersed in very warm and welcoming rustic surroundings.As the name suggests they also sell all sorts of musical instruments and sheet music. I loved being surrounded by hanging guitars, violins and the odd piano while being served by very friendly staff.I stumbled across this oasis in Enfield while looking for a place to drink coffee and work on my laptop. The internet connection was readily available and very usable. If you are in Enfield this a such a great place to "hang out".
