Only open Thursday evening and Friday lunch, best to book in advance. We had two courses, cauliflower soup and fish cake starters and roast pork and rainbow trout mains. Cost was exceptional value at £21. Was delicious and professionally served by the students. Would highly recommend.

Excellent concept, students learning restaurant management, service and preparing food in a real restaurant setting to paying public. Absolutely lovely meal with a licensed bar and the atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed, we felt unrushed and service was fantastic. Young students aged between around 16 - 20 managed the whole experience under supervision of a front of house college tutor who remained low key and let the students experience all aspects of a restaurant service but stepped in when needed. The menu and introduction encourages customers to treat this as a full learning experience for students and to be varied and realistic with our requests..to test their experience and knowledge. It was French night when we dined and we enjoyed every course, coffee a bottle of wine and petis fours. Absolutely full to bursting with great quality authentic French meals. I rang ahead and they were even offering to adapt a main course and starter to be vegetarian if needed. We are booked in for a future Italian and Indian evening and very much looking forward to returning. A lovely evening and highly recommended

Elwell's is part of Easr Riding College and operates to give the next generation of hospitality staff the experience the need. We went on Thursday night, the only night they open, and enjoyed the 3 course set menu. The service was good and very friendly, with a little nervous edge to the young team. The food was 1st class and excellent value, £19.95 for 3 courses and coffee. We will return many times

A lovely evening. The food is first rate and the service is great. It's fantastic to see young people learning skills that they can use in the future as they do the cooking and the serving. Having to wear face coverings didn't seem to affect their enthusiasm. Fantastic value for money coupled with fresh clean surroundings and really tasty food along with the knowledge that young people are getting a real life experience made this an evening to remember. Thanks very much!

8 friends went for an evening meal and wow what a meal! We are certainly in for a real treat when the young people working last night are fully qualified! A varied menu, something for everyone. Three courses and coffee for less than £18.

This is the training restaurant for East Riding College. The food is often the best in Beverley and generally the best value. Service can sometimes be wobbly because the students are learning. Open only on Thursday evening (set menu, 3 courses about £17) and Thursday and Friday lunchtimes (starter and sweets about £3, main course £4). Must book, and times are rigid.Theme nights once a month (menu about £17.95). There is usually a choice of about 4 items per course. Decent wine list and a full bar.

First time visited here and not disappointed. While not a vegetarian, I did not miss meat in this super tasty and freshly made wrap. While they don't have gluten free options (I asked for a co-worker) anything in a wrap can be served as a salad box. Great food, friendly server and well worth the money. Update...came back again with the husband...still excellent... Card payment accepted but pay cash if you can....doesn't cost small businesses!
