Fantastic service and food is delicious! We live locally and will be returning soon! We had starters and main, really tasty

We ate here in 21st on the strength of Trip Advisor reviews and were not disappointed. In fact our everything was better than expected. The food was delicious, so fresh and full of flavour. We’ve never had a better side salad. The service was equally good and the restaurant itself is as pleasing on the eye as the food is tithe taste buds. Wish we lived locally, then we could dine there every week!

My husband and I visit effes very frequently we have never had a bad meal it is always so tasty and the staff are so friendly we previously have taken our children and they are very child friendly too, I would 100% recommend if anyone is thinking about going to this restaurant to go, we will continue tp return here, not had a take away from here though so we may try that over the weekend

Not bad. Was busy. Dropped in for lunch. Very very overpriced for what it is/isn't. How you charge £17 for a chicken doner and a coke is something for me to reflect on. Good thing was fast service. But in general hugely average and overpriced for what it was.

So I’m in the super vulnerable category but my daughter had promised me to a Christmas meal at her favourite restaurant efes. It did not disappoint! Covid wise it was fantastic and I felt extremely safe. Food wise - just WOW. ATMOSPHERE - AMAZING. What can I say? Sophie the owner knows her stuff, she was wonderful and the restaurant, staff and food were all equally brilliant. Hopefully she survives Covid so more and more people can visit this gem!

We ordered a couple dishes to try them all and they were all great. The staff were very attentive and service was super. Covid measures in place and we felt safe and comfortable Will definitely visit again - great job!

This has been our local favourite for years. Great to see the place to be back in business with new safety measures in place. Very secure, friendly and welcoming environment.

Nos sentamos en la mesa junto a la puerta, sin embargo, en dos ocasiones, el personal se inclinó desde atrás para tomar los menús que estaban colocados en la repisa de la mesa. Esto no es aceptable. Went here for my birthday and it was amazing! First proper night out after quarantine and they made this so special for me, the main course and desserts were so delicious. They service was fast and personable! High recommend for special events.

El personal era acogedor y atento sin ser agresivo, y nos sentimos muy relajados en todo momento. La comida era consistentemente buena y bien presentada. Tenga en cuenta que fue un domingo por la noche tranquilo, por lo que no podemos saber cómo es en momentos de mayor actividad, pero regresaríamos.

Fui con mi familia y logré tener dos platos principales diferentes en virtud de compartir.Probé el cordero iskender primero. Este es un buen plato pero el yogur fue un poco abrumador para mí. Estaba bien hecho y sabroso. Creo que otras personas pueden disfrutarlo más que yo.El segundo plato que tuve fue la mezcla de cordero y pollo shish. Preferí esto, principalmente debido a preferencias personales. Este plato estaba bien preparado, el pollo y el cordero suculentos y bien preparados. El arroz tampoco estaba mal, pero no el mejor que he probado. El personal era amable y acogedor, y lo hizo una experiencia agradable. La decoración también es agradable y muy turca, por lo que ayuda a crear el ambiente adecuado. This restaurant is local & comforting, as well as being in an area that is easily accessible. A friend & I had lahmacun, chicken wings & lamb ribs & were more than pleased. Sophie the owner made us feel at home, we will definitely be back !!!

Went with family for a quiet dinner after seeing good reviews. We booked in advance but Sunday evening so when we arrived it was quiet. Food was nice - we ordered hummus, spicy chicken livers and lahmacum for starters and then mixed grill, chicken wings and incik for mains. Service was a slight issue - we got some of the things much later than the rest. For example, the rice to go with the incik case a good 10 mins after. We found a hair on the mix grill which they took away and replaced the mix grill but obviously that took a while to arrive. Sometimes the bread was a bit later in arriving too. The chilli and garlic sauces arrived much later too. The food itself was delicious and although the service was a bit up and down, we put it down to a bad day rather than overall reflection of the place. They did offer some baklava (Turkish dessert) on the house - nice touch.

My wife and I have regularly patronised this great and fabulous restaurant for the past five years. Our expectations in every sense have always been exceedingly met. We are always greeted and welcomed by the staff wearing enviable smiles on faces.This is a restaurant that empowers you with luxury of good variety of meal choice. My wife is in favour of fish meals whilst I enjoy meat meals, typically kebabs! Food portions are generously good size coupled with great taste. Once seated, they start you off by way of presenting a basket of palatable slices of Turkish bread and olive / olive oil - free of charge!The cool, cosy and relaxed ambience of this place is electric and resonates with customers.The service is always executed in an expeditious fashion. Once seated, within a few minutes, your table is attended to, your order taken then drink and food served rapidly! The staff are courteous and well-mannered. Our favourite waitress is Delphie. The quality of her service stretches out to a gold standard!!!

The food was not good, the helim cheese was super salty and three slices only for £5. The food was very mediocre the salad was lack lustre with no dressings or feta etc. Drinks took ages and our male waiter was very rude. Havet in Bromley is so much better. Will never go back, just not a nice eating out vibe or experience. It was like being in a rude cafe.

My parents came to London to visit for the weekend, I've heard good things about Efes Meze so gave it a go, we had a lovely meal! It was great atmosphere and the staff were friendly. I would definitely recommend the meat set meal! There was so much food for a very decent price. The only thing that is a slight complaint is that the dips came first for about 5 minutes without anything to dip into them or eat with them, we were a bit confused but apart from that, amazing!

I have been to Efes Meze lots of times and I plan to keep on eating there. They serve authentic Turkish food which is cooked to perfection.

Went there for lunch , poor service, small portions and expensive for what you get, a older female staff member made us feel we was a inconvience coming into resturant and she would rather be getting on with the cleaning she was doing when we entered restaurant as it was empty.

A group of us went out to this restaurant and it turned out to be much more than just a meal. The ambiance is truly amazing very relaxing, service was great, staff were friendly & respectful.

I have been a few times before my favourite is the mixed grill it come with chicken, lamb and Adana it’s always very well cooked and delicious and the service is really good and friendly. I like to bring my friends here and they always enjoy.

Run don’t walk to this incredible a Turkish restaurant and order the preset menu. You will be treated with love to a gorgeous platter of 6 cold appetizers, then hot appetizers of fried cheese and falafel, and filo wrapped cheese cigars all piping hot..., then a beautiful main dish of many grilled meats over two kinds of rice. On the side will be delectable sauces, a gorgeous salad, and the most attentive service.

This is the first time I have eaten in Efes for a long time. Our main came up as we was still eating our starters, which meant we had to leave the rest of our starter so our main didn’t get cold. The chicken guvec wasn’t very nice, the chicken wasn’t edible and very disappointing. My friend had the chicken Shish, again she had eaten far better chicken Shish else wear, the meat tasted and resembled horrible cheat meat. Sadly we won’t be returning again!

This was our first visit to Efes and we decided to go because the reviews seemed good. However our feelings are mixed. We were placed on a very cramped table for two despite having booked in advance. We had the mixed hot starter which was fine apart from the very overcooked squid which we sent back. It was replaced but still not good. Our main course arrived at the table before we had finished our starters so we had to rush into our main before it went cold. The chicken piri piri was nice but the lamb in my special mixed grill was tough and inedible. It was pointless complaining anymore because the grill chef was clearly overstretched and out of his depth. Sadly we won’t be returning as it’s not up to the standard of Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine we can get elsewhere.

This is a place where we have been many times for dinner, usually we have the mix platter. Food is always very good, decent atmosphere and service.

We relied on generally positive reviews as we wanted Turkish cuisine. The food was disappointing. Meat was tough, fish was not marinated and had no taste. We know many other places in London where same food tastes better and costs less. Also, the smell from the toilet was felt even in the middle of the restaurant.

Not been to Efes for a wile.... going for meal with family Efes was the first place I thought of and straight away recommended that we go there..... didn’t disappoint... always a lovely atmosphere & great food... and really friendly accommodating staff

Visited for lunch and we were not disappointed! We had the set lunch menu which is an absolute bargain. 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 beer, 1 very tasty cocktail and 2 coffees for £34! Wished we lived closer as we would be there on a weekly basis!

Went for the first time with some friends and was very impressed. The food was great and service was excellent. The staff looked after us so well and look forward to our next visit.

Discovered this late the night we arrived. Great food and lots of it. If you go with a group, get the family meal as it provides a taste of everything and is a great value. Lamahjan was great appetizer and the lamb chops were my favorite meat, but just by a little over all the others.

The staff had a family sense of feeling which was expressed towards us. The food was fantastic especially the lamb shish and the Turkish coffee.

I like this little restaurant at the bottom of my street. I did get it delivered and the presentation and portion size felt quite a bit smaller, so it's worth eating in instead. Great houmous and chicken skewers.

I had the most disappointing trip to this Turkish restaurant last night. My husband and I went for a date night, we live locally and I had wanted to go to Effes for a long time as word was it was good. We had the cold platter for two to start. It was basically a plate full of dips with some nice bread. The humous was tasteless, and the waitress did not even explain what was on the plate ,so we had no idea what was what. I had lamb Iskender for main , it was basically inedible. It consisted of a bowl full of over cooked lamb smothered in tomato pasata sauce. I ate about two mouthfuls and ended up just eating the bread. When our bill came someone else’s drinks were on our bill. The whole experience has put me off going back. I can see how some people might like lots of meat, but for me it was tasteless and full of salt ..... not for me!

We loved going to Efes mezze. Nice food and friendly atmosphere. I would have liked it more if the Turkish music was a little louder and more obvious as I went there for the Turkish vibe. Also the lighting towards the back of the restaurant could be improved. But in terms of food and atmosphere and customer service, I give it 5 stars and would definitely return again.

We like to go to Efes when we want to go out with friends and family. We love sharing the set meals. We think the food is very good but be warned even when we share six set meals between eight we find it difficult to finish everything. The bread and the meze are so delicious that we hardly have room for the main course but it is all so good we prefer to share than order individual dishes.

No need to write a review as it has all been said but we had no cash for a tip so thought I would write a review instead. Went for a ‘date night’ with my husband on a rainy Sunday evening and it was lovely. Really tasty olives etc as a free appetiser and then enjoyable food with friendly service. Thank you!

We used to come here all the time, we hadn’t been here in a while we visited yesterday & we had the prawn starter & I only had 2 prawns in my dish which I don’t think is enough for how much your paying. Other than that everything else was ok

There are another of Turkish restaurants on Trafalgar Road, but this one has been there longest so it felt only right to give it a go and it did not disappoint. The waitress was working alone and even though the place seemed quite busy for a Wednesday eve, she handled it brilliantly! The food was delicious, especially the mixed meze platters to start. Only downside was my lamb was a little chewy, but never mind! We will definitely be back!

Now, me and my husband have been regular customers for the last 2 years. We usually love coming to Efes, prices are good, food is always delicious. However, recently we came and the service from one particular waitress was not as expected. In the past, we have had a delightful young student who would chat to us, recommend to us food, and add little touches like try the wine. On this latest occassion, it was not exceptionally busy (We were suprised normally it is quite busy), however the waitress rushed our drinks. We came on a Monday day time despite normally coming Saturday night. Never the less, she did not even say hello. This girl must quite new because we hadnt seen her before (Although we havent been for 2 months). I must say, this was very disappointing as her attitude began to get worse as the meal went on.

We visited here on a recommendation, it did not disappoint at all. We came in the evening so parked outside, we were welcomed on our entrance, the restaurant was already busy but we had booked so sat straight down.

4 of us shared a fish meze for 2 and a meat meze for 2. A good selection of food, very tasty and well presented. We had the house wine which was lovely and also Efes bottled beer which was ace.

I’ve been to a lot of resturants in most parts of london. However this has to be the best Turkish one of them all. The spices and herbs put into meats and salads are delicious. I really enjoyed lamb shish it’s one of Efes Meze top dishes. The prices are very reasonable.

A group of six ladies enjoyed a pleasant, relaxed lunch here. Three of us shared the meat meze, which was very generous and delicious. The others ordered from the extensive menu. We all enjoyed our meals and the service was very friendly and attentive. Definitely be back.

We were looking to meet up in Greenwich for a family reunion and found Efes on TripAdvisor. The food was great and the atmosphere warm and friendly. There was a good menu selection of food and drink including a vegetarian option which suited my daughter. We will definitely be visiting Efes again.

La decisión de último minuto de visitar este restaurante en lugar de nuestro habitual restaurante turco (Hattusa) resultó ser una buena elección. . . Los entrantes fueron excelentes en cuanto a los principales. . Mi pollo kofta fue sublime. . no recocido y con la cantidad justa de especias. . . El servicio fue bueno aunque un poco rudimentario, pero no hay nada de qué quejarse. . . . Todo rematado a un precio razonable. . . volveré a visitar

I’ve been here twice now, and recommend it wholeheartedly. Great atmosphere, lovely staff, interesting drinks, and, above all, really great food. The meze are delicious, beautifully presented, and amazingly good value at less than twenty pounds a head. An excellent choice if you’re in the area, and fully deserves its TA certificate of excellence.

I was looking for a healthy-ish options in Greenwich and found this Turkish restaurant - Efes Meze. The decor was pretty, the service was excellent throughout and our waitress was friendly. I went for the shish kebab which came with rice and salad and my boyfriend had the mixed grill.

Went here with my son and his partner yesterday evening as it is close to his home. The staff were so helpful and friendly. We had the Meat Meze which was great value for money and absolutely delicious. Would certainly go again.

I've never eaten fish with their heads still on before but the picture did have that, so I shouldn't have been surprised. It didn't matter, because the fish were nice enough to get past it. They were also super duper quick.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. Found it on TripAdvisor and it was quite convenient for our visit to the O2 arena. So glad we went! All the food was excellent. The quality of the feta and baklava were just as you would get in Turkey. In a nutshell I can't wait to go back next time we're in London.

booked this for Saturday lunch, after seeing other reviews, and glad we did. Nice staff, good service, had the delicious, varied and plentiful 3 course meat meze (I guess around 18 different items including 5 different meat items). Ten minute walk up the main road from Greenwich Naval College and the Cutty Sark.

Partner and I came on a very busy evening. The lovely waitstaff were so accommodating and polite even though they were bustling about everywhere. Atmosphere was wonderful and unpretentious, and the food was bloody amazing!
