Cute little cafe within 4C Community centre. It's so cute and the food is lovely. You can park on the church car park that's next door.

Had my first visit to Eclectic Avenue with my mum & friends for the Afternoon Tea Saturday Serenades. What a lovely place a hidden gem in Ashton-under-Lyne. The sandwiches, pastries, scones & cakes were all delicious. The singer was amazing & the atmosphere great, we all had a fabulous afternoon. Very reasonably priced too. Highly recommended.

Had a delicious afternoon tea here this afternoon. Food was lovely and plenty of it. Great place for a catch up with friends. It's moved from the address above and is now in 4C Community Centre, next to Christchurch, off Taunton Road, behind IKEA in Ashton.

Had a great breakfast prepared by the new chef. It was busy for a Tuesday morning so I d say if you are in a rush go to a fast food restaurant but if you want a leisurely meal or snack with friendly service come here. The atmosphere created is fabulous and even the visitors and customers seem bouyed by experience. Choice of food and drinks is good . Proof is in the rating though and a great choice of bakery. Everything hot and service attentive. Well done!

Popped into 4C for a cake and coffee and was delighted to see the usual choice of home bake on display. The lovely Rachel discussed my options with me and I plumped for the Cherry chocolate cheesecake. Wow! A gastronomical delight. Now I love cake, all cake but this is special. I asked for Sal the baker so I could compliment her personally. Its her own recipe but I didn t even know cherry chocolate cheesecake was a thing. There’s a saying “Life is possible without cake, but pointless “ I ve never been let down at Eclectic Avenue and its an asset to our community. The staff are so friendly. Is it the coffee that perks me up on my visit or the “bon ami” provided by this neighbourhood cafe? Pop in and see for yourself.

It was my 5th visit here today. I ve waited to review it and I can tell you Eclectic Avenue is consistently good. Run by Jodie and staff you will be well looked after here. I only dine in cafes and restaurants where staff are friendly and welcoming and they have that in abundance at 4C. Eclectic suggests it is diverse and that’s its best feature. In a positively diverse community like ours it’s important that everyone is welcome . The centre’s not called 4C for nothing either it’s a community cafe ( For the community ) It would be unfair to single individual staff out for praise because they work as a team. I must n t leave our the chef though. I recognise him from the Dog and Partridge during its golden age. The food is always wonderful and the red coleslaw is delicious. I had full breakfast today and it was cooked to perfection. If you made me walk the plank and forced me to make a criticism I d prefer butter on my toast instead of spread but hey! It tasted delicious and my pants still fit. Ha!! Samantha is always busy in this popular cafe but still finds time for a chat, a joke or a smile. My son flys in from Baltimore USA on 4th December, and Eclectic Avenue will be his first breakfast in England for over a year. I never even thought of taking him anywhere else. It’s closed Sunday ☹️ but they deserve a day off for their excellent work. Don t take my word for it get yourself down there . My recommendation is BLT followed by one of the delicious home baked cakes for afters.

This is a review of the café at the 4C Community Centre on Taunton Road. Great breakfasts and hot drinks all to our liking. Nice atmosphere with decent music being played. I have only given three stars as they are wedging open the fire doors either side of the counter, one of which is to the kitchen (see photos), which is totally unacceptable and could result in a serious situation. Do they hide the wedges when the Fire Officer makes their inspection I wonder?

Lovely, comfortable and welcoming Cafe. The food is great with numerous choices including paninis, sandwiches and teacakes. The background music is excellent which adds to the warm atmosphere. The hot chocolate and strawberry milkshakes are delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There's also an area which is nicely decorated with lovely gift items to purchase.

The cafe was lovely and warm which was a welcome relief from the freezing temperature outside. The staff were very accommodating when little girl didn't want brown bread, and were all really friendly. The food was delicious and the prices reasonable. The hot chocolate was a huge hit!
