Dynasty in Rotherham

My own experience at this restaurant,it was my first visit. The food was nice but a bit dry,I like more sauce. My complaint is that I was very upset with how the owner treated his staff.He kept shouting at them in front of the whole restaurant and in my opinion, they were working very hard and were very efficient.They looked like they were close to tears and were afraid of him. This is not acceptable in my book,he should have taken them aside if he had an issue. I hope this doesn't happen again.

Fab place. Food was delicious, staff were lovely, owner very kind and a true gentleman. Would visit again, especially for the salt and pepper mushrooms!

Ordered a delivery one dish didn’t arrive phoned them up said they were too busy to do anything about it One of the dearest dishes they do came and it wasn’t as big as the starter we ordered To top it off most of it was cold never order from them again

First time trying out Dynasty, but based on reviews, We decided to give it a try, as we have been trying to find a good local Chinese takeaway that also delivers. Ordered over the phone, which was quick and easy. Our order was delivered within the time slot given. We were initially impressed by the presentation of delivery - no plastic bags, all neatly set out in a cardboard delivery box. We were really hoping that the food wouldn't disappoint either, and I am pleased to say that it didn't disappoint and would go so far as to say that it's the best Chinese takeaway we have had. This is now our number 1 for Chinese takeaway, and we will also be giving the restaurant a try. The portions are very generous, non-greasy, and great tasting - couldn't fault anything. Thank you Dynasty, we have now finally found a local great Chinese restaurant/takeaway 👍🏽

Went on a recommendation, the staff were very helpful and friendly will also show you how to use the chopsticks if you ask 😉, we had set menu A and the food was exceptionally good, really enjoyed the evening, wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will be going again 😊 👍

Absolutely appalling food and service, every food dish tasted like fish clearly using the same pan for prawns as the chicken/beef asked to speak to the so called manager TONY who was very rude and abrupt when asked why we had the bill slammed on the table followed by a rude waitress with the card machine when we hadn’t even finished our drinks never mind asked for the bill, yet let’s not forget to mention the 2 young male children who they have as staff saying from behind the bar on the way out as we left ‘bye we don’t care’ absolutely appalling restaurant with management & staff to match! Avoid at all costs wish I had read the reviews before we went especially as booked for a birthday too which was ignored from booking & mentioning weeks ago as they clearly just wanted your money and for you to leave the response was u can have some cake on your way out, seems a lot say the same about this place Avoid at all costs plenty of better places in Yorkshire to go!

After reading all the reviews and hearing good things we thought we would try this place out, but it was not great to.be honest very bland fried rice and beef fried rice no colour to it just white, curry was very average as was the blackbean just a very average place

I rarely complement / review Places however the food here is first class. Only once has something been missed off my order and after complaining I got told they would knock 20% off my next order. I rang up and ordered approx 1 month after this and without even asking for the discount they added it to my bill. Ever since then the food has been perfect and nothing has been missed off my order. Top Class!

Takeaway has gone down the pan . Curry sauce is very bland . Beef is sloppy mush chickin is sloppy mush . Fried rice is boiled flavourles rice no colour in there just white boiled rice spare ribs very small hardly any sauce . Not worth the 35 . Tasteless ...never again 3rd attempt . Stick with dragon city . !!!!Expensive but lots of flavour compared to this baby food mush!!

Still the best take away in Rotherham. So consistent - had one for whole family (5) last night - came in time and accurate! So consistently high quality

Great vfm staff excellent food great we asked for Buffett starters intermediate main pudding 2 main courses were hot so ask but the toilets are very clean for £22 ph cannot fault any part of our visit

Had the buffet Sunday for 4 adults, 2 kids and a toddler. Starters come put first, then buffet for mains which include some of the starters aswell. Staff were really nice and friendly and the total bill was only for 4 adults and no kids. Don't know if kids eat free or something as it was our first time there, but it was a nice surprise.

Went today for first time they was 7 of us we really really enjoyed it food was spot on wasn't anything we didnt like, atmosphere and restaurant was lovely and cosy and chilling and the staff was so nice couldn't do enough for us, the older lady was lovely was so nice and welcoming and so was the others thank you

Nice food, service needs to wait until everyone is finish or ask if they can take the plates as some are still eating. Buffet needs more variety as some of the food was greasy and my niece could eat her noodles. Atmosphere was poor.

Visiting family in Rotherham, we sometimes have takeaways from this popular restaurant which have invariably been enjoyable but this week we had the chance to dine in and went with two grand-children for the Sunday buffet. A varied, table-full of starters was served before we were able to help ourselves to the main courses from a wide choice; all were enjoyable. Various desserts were then available to choose from, including warm cookies and brownies - most pleasant! This is an especially good value meal so it was disappointing to find one large group trying to take advantage of the 'under-10' offer ("But I'm eleven, Dad") then stealing most of the cookies by wrapping them in serviettes to sneak out with them. This must be dispiriting for the genial owner and staff of what is, after all, a small, local business and will only lead to all customers losing out as well. We were particularly grateful to the owner who was extremely kind to one of our grandchildren who had celebrated his birthday the previous day. It was much appreciated. The restaurant deserves its popularity and deserves continued support.

They do a lot of gluten-free options, and it does seem to be really be gf. I've not been sick yet. They could do with getting someone else to answer the phone on a weekend, though, cos that lad sounds like he could not care less and / or wants to die!

Great food and service. Went for the buffet on a Thursday evening and they worked very hard to specially cater for our vegan and vegetarian diets. I even got a birthday cake 🎂

Tonight was the second visit to Dynasty, again the food was excellent, very friendly staff and very good with my nut allergy, having separate dishes for me, they were very careful to explain which dishes I could eat and which ones to stay clear of.

10 of us went here on Saturday night, the food was sublime the staff were absolutely fantastic we had a conversation about the BBC and table tennis with the owner who was delightful 😊 decor was lovely and the atmosphere very welcoming 10/10

Great meal, great atmosphere. The food was extremely good having chosen the buffet meal. Starters were all served at the table and copious amounts of lovely Starters arrived. Duck in pancakes, spring rolls, satay's, bbq ribs and all the rest. Help yourself to the main and puddings. The lettuce leaves with pork mince were great as were the large mussels with a lovely garlic and soy sauce. All in all a great place for excellent Chinese food.

Absolutely beautiful food, all family really enjoyed it, age ranged from 2 to 55. All staff were very good and friendly they were especially good with the children in the party.

Had an amazing experience here. We opted for the buffet menu, although a variety of 'starters' are brought to your table, and to be honest, the amount and choice of these were much more than I expected. The food is fresh cooked and delicious, the serving staff are extremely helpful and very efficient at removing empty plates. There was plenty of choice at the buffet too, and it's all you can eat. The desserts are gorgeous, although the problem is making sure you're not to full to appreciate them. I would definitely recommend Dynasty to anyone, and we will certainly be going back.

Ordered our food at 7. They said it it would be an hour for delivery. 1 hour and 50 mins later it turned up. I asked the delivery driver why it had taken so long and I was going to suggest a discount. But he just said we are busy ill take it back and so he did. I phoned Dynasty up and they wasn't interested at all. Obviously too busy and wasn't bothered at at all. I don't think nearly 2 hours is acceptable to wait for a delivery.

Visited for our grandsons 18th birthday and had a brilliant time! The food was excellent as was the service. The staff were very friendly and efficient and even brought our grandson a surprise birthday cake and everyone sang to him. Thanks for a great evening. Would we visit again? DEFINITELY

We've visited Dynasty many times always being impressed with the service and food but the way one male member of staff who I assume is the manager/owner speaks to the staff is appalling. Firstly, to speak to anyone in the way we witnessed is out of order and secondly, to do this in front of customers made us so uncomfortable and was enough to put me off my meal. Unfortunately this isn't the first time this has happened when we have been there & I can see from other reviews that others have seen this too. The young team have always impressed us and we have always highlighted this when paying the bill but this last visit has really made me consider if I want to return.

Just ordered a Chinese from this place. Female delivery driver refused to deliver food to my door, I called the restaurant to ask why. It had never been a problem before and I'm a regular. I overheard the manager call the delivery driver on the other line and insist she brought my food to my door as I couldn't get out and I very clearly heard her call me a COW,. When I tried to make a direct complaint about the name calling, to the manager, I was then told he was too busy to speak to me. I cannot believe how this is acceptable and I am absolutely disguisted with the abusive tone. Its fair to say I will never order from here again. Extremely upset regular !

Went for buffett ok if you like chicken as that's all the dishes we're apart from mince pork to put in a lettuce leaf . No vegetarian dishes at all very limited menu

The food is absolutely beautiful and most of the staff are really polite and helpful, however one of the male staff members (possibly owner) seems to be aggressive towards the other staff both times when me and my family were trying to enjoy the meal and for the discomfort of that, I would not recommend

WOOWW!! We’ve been going for years - it is THE BEST restaurant in the area! You have to go! Make sure the book thought to guarantee a table. But if you can’t get a table the take aways are just as excellent!!

The food was awful. I was looking forward to mince and lettuce starter. All I could taste was old burnt oil !! No other tastes came through, normally this dish is spicy and moreish. Followed by a beef curry that was impossible to water down anymore, not one taste remained in my mouth. The missis had the special noodles, again burnt oil is what came through. £25.00 in the bin !!!! We where booked in for a sit-down meal, but we won't be going.

The best takeaway I’ve ever eaten

Nice food but missing items on order after waiting over 1 hour to be told oh well next time wel knock a bit off your bill.

Ordered a meal Sunday evening to be delivered. The telephone operator took my order and payment details quickly with no fuss. Hot foot arrived within 30 minutes. Kids say they were the best noodles ever. Chicken balls were large with crispy batter and a lovely sweet and sour sauce. Sorry, forgot to take a photo before so here's an after photo.

We’ve not eaten here since before the pandemic so thought we would return for a Friday night treat. It was an a la carte night rather than a buffet night. We ordered a half crispy duck and salt chilli chicken for starter. We then shared a selection of dishes plus rice for our main course. We all enjoyed the food which was hot and tasty. Friendly service and food is brought out quickly. Also the table was cleared quickly between courses. Definitely one of the best places in town for Chinese food.

Went with my family today kids eat free with every paying adult . Absolutely brilliant service throughout . Lovely and welcoming staff who were very helpful polite and went the extra mile . All good tasted delicious and puddings were amazing ! Under new owners I think ? Definitely will be returning ! A lot better then before . Thankyou

Had a really good night, food lovely and a good variety, the staff and management were really professional and nothing too was much trouble, our family evening was made special with lovely finishing touches.

The food was interesting, starters for the buffet brilliant, tasty and good value for money, but do wonder if there were higher up restrictions on spending for the buffet section, as very little food was put out, there were only 3-4 dishes topped up in the 1.5hrs we were there, and felt fairly dangerous having to chase the meals around the bain marie containers bobbing around the tray in the boiling water. Maybe I didn't order the right thing off the menu.... All things said I wouldn't come back here again as witnessed the manager on two occasions shouting and berating his staff very publicly, which was unpleasant and quite sad to see. I hope something changes for this place (namely management and budget) , as so much potential!!

Just had a delivery of sweet and sour chicken and prawns. The sweet and sour sauce was tasteless. Won't be ordering from there again.

Many many return visits to the Dynasty Chinese. Excellent food with wide selection. Set menu B our all time favourite. Restaurant spotlessly clean & modern. Tables well spaced out. Attentive staff. Owner & his Wife ensures everything runs smoothly. Would highly recommend.
