Beautiful food and service 5star

We went in 20 minutes before closing time as visitors to Hull, here to watch the football. As we went in, we were told they didn't have much left. We left to try elsewhere and the people working there then shut and bolted the door in a man's face behind us. I can't comment on the food.

Wouldn't even give it one star the customer service is disgusting bad manners very rude russ is a lovely guy i dont think the customers wouldnt go in if it wasnt for him but the lady's are bad mannered and need to learn customer service skills were the food hygiene inspectors when you need them this place needs a good shake up of staff.shouting at customers is not the way forward...the full place is dirty and needs a good clean.. feel sorry for russ ordered a chip butty and got a burger bun with a few chips and shouted at you joking! Needs shutting down and reopening with more friendly nicer staff better going further down near the garage for a more friendly service

Hi rang up to place an order tomorrow for twenty fish and chips peas and 20 bread cakes a lady answered and said where to busy and put phone how rude 😠

Heard good things about the fish shop but unfortunately was left disappointed after our first visit. The portions both of the chips and Pattie where rather small and unfortunately the Pattie was bland with little seasoning.

Definitely one of the best in Hull . Consistently high quality haddock and chips .

The only decent thing about this dump is the patties, the rest of the menu is bland and flavourless but the worse part of this place is the two women working the counter, the non existent customer service and the stinking attitude on display makes this place somewhere you should avoid, go further down the avenue to find the better chippy near the garage where they actually cook your food proper.

I’ve been using this chippy since 2017 and it’s the best chippy in Hull. Their fish and patties are always perfection. The chips are always top notch. Very friendly staff, always a warm welcome.

What a joke this business is. Horrible staff, ridiculous operating times. Always closing early. A fish and chip shop that never seems to have any fish. Absolute waste of time going here

Proper old school fish and chip shop. Really good haddock freshly cooked, they ask you when you join the queue if you want fish putting in. Probably the best pattie I've eaten recently in Hull. Cash only. I had haddock, pattie, shared a portion of chips, mushy peas and a can of dandelion & burdock. It was delicious.

I reckon they are one of the best chippies in the area.

As a regular customer for over 20years, I think that says it all, always quality food and the fish is the best around, try it, you won't be disappointed.

Its our go to fish and chips shop in Hull, we have tried quite a few!. Haddock is good, patties good, peas really nice and everything is always freshly cooked, we like to eat it straight away, always tastes better that way.

Lovely..my other best chippy. Only have 2 in Hull that are the best....Dundee and Cave street. Beautiful fish and tasty chips..fabulous

We don't come here because it's quite far away, but we did try it recently and OMG, the portions weren't big, but the quality of the fish and chips, out of this world. And you know it's good when an hour later you don't have heart burn or the burps from dodgy oil or flour. The fish was meaty and the chips we're just right.

At last!! After visiting many local chippies (and being disappointed), we finally got round to trying Dundee Fisheries. Absolutely fabulous. The fish was delicious and everything was cooked perfectly. Appreciate the soaring costs that fish n chip shops are facing, but don't mind the higher prices when it's good. We'll definitely be back. Brilliant!!

The best chippy in the area! Russel and the ladies have been serving me ever since I moved to the city from the coast so I like to think I know a decent chip shop when I use one. A massive selection of items, all cooked to order and always with a smile and some friendly banter.

Delicious! Staff seem to know everyone that comes in and their orders. Fried in dripping so everything is extra tasty.

Always brilliant, very tasty and good value for money. I usually ask for a fish only because portions of chips tend to be too big for me but they put a few chips on anyway. Always good local based banter. Staff are good natured and the guy is always game for a laugh.

Excellent chippy... Food is fantastic only chippy where I will eat the fish.. Cooked well and the home made patties, gravy and peas are mouth watering. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the banter between customers and staff is a day brightner. Dundee all the way.

By far the best fish and chip shop not just in Hull, but in the business. I've been a loyal customer for years. Excellent light batter, beautiful flakes of fish. Lovely lightly seasoned and battered patties. Great chips. I've moved to Lincolnshire recently, but I still come back to visit my friends at Dundee. Russ, Mandy and Ange are great

Food was good but service was awful. They served 3 people I assume to be regulars and took their orders before mine even though I was next in line. They obviously don't care too much about new customers.
