Small friendly vegan restaurant whose only down side might be the upstairs toilet. I had a super toastie but was eyeing up my friend's Buddha salad, which also looked delicious! I'll definitely be bringing my vegan family members there whdn ghey vist

We had the pleasure of enjoying their afternoon tea earlier this year and it was amazing. We only wish we had taken a photo before we polished it all off. We had a quick look at their lunch board while we were waiting and I would be hard pressed to pick just one thing. Luckily, we had a fantastic selection of savoury and sweet treats in our afternoon tea and even the meat eaters amongst us, enjoyed it all. Exceptional food and attentive service, what more could you ask for!

We were fed like royalty - delicious roast dinners beautifully served and generous portions. We had eyes bigger than our tummies for delicious pudding. Such pleasant folk at the Deagonfly, we were spoilt and had a wonderful, memorable Mothering Sunday feast! Thank you so much we look forward to stopping by again xx

My recent visit to DragonFly Bistro for afternoon tea was exceptional. They offered a variety of sandwiches, quiche, cakes, and scones. All looked and tasted amazing. The attentive and wonderful service added to the experience, making it highly recommendable not only for vegans and vegetarians but for anyone in search of quality culinary experiences.

We came in today for lunch and had a great experience. They have a great assortiment of fresh drinks, tea etc. We ordered the hot dog with garlic mushrooms (yum!), the noodle bowl (yum!) and the potato and leek soup (yum!). One of the highlights is definitely their chips, which are some of the best I've had in the UK, especially with their vegan mayo. All large portions and absolutely delicious! Also super reasonably priced!! The staff are all super friendly :)

Even if you're not vegan, this place is an absolute gem. The food and coffee is delicious and the people serving you are so friendly. You can tell that the food is cooked by someone who loves food themselves. They are so passionate about keeping customers happy. 100% an absolute recommend for everyone.

Went here for the first time a few weeks ago and was super impressed. I went for the nut roast Sunday lunch which was gluten free and my mum went for the celeriac soup which could also be served with gluten free bread. Both were absolutely delicious and felt very comforting. When taking the order the waitress asked if there were any allergies to which I said I was coeliac. Very reassuring that she was aware of it and told the people in the kitchen. I felt safe eating here. Staff were very friendly too. As a local I will 100% be back here very soon!

The best food available in Aberystwyth, The owner is truly a goddess in the kitchen and balances every flavour in every meal perfectly. The menu caters for any food allergies, food is fresh, healthy and cooked with passion. I use this restaurant regularly and as yet have not found anything that I did not enjoy. All food is served with a relaxed friendly atmosphere. A must go to if you are thinking of eating out in Aberystwyth. Truly a gem of a restaurant.

We ate here whilst passing through Aberystwyth and it was great. We had a Buddha Bowl and a Lentil bake platter, followed by a Bakewell Tart and Flapjack, washed down with coffee and ginger beer. It was great value and would definitely recommend!

This cafe feels like a warm hug. The ladies that work here are always warm, friendly and outgoing. The fresh selection of cakes and snacks are delicious. My friends didn't even notice they were gluten free and vegan! Would definitely recommend.

Lovely place for a vegetarian meal.

Such an interesting and varied menu, and food delicious served by lovely, friendly staff. Having a place like this in Aberystwyth is like a breath of fresh air, just really sorry I didn't try it sooner! My husband is not vegetarian but thoroughly enjoyed his meal and we look forward to trying some of the other dishes next time. Oh, and the lemon poppy seed cake was to die for!

On a day trip we planned to go in due to good reviews and very glad we did. Very lovely and welcoming, our dog Moose got lots of cuddles and treats (even some to take away) and the food was incredible! So refreshing to find a hearty vegan place with amazing flavour and fresh food. Coffee was great but the ice cream was out of this world. Recommend the potato cake platter with a variety of salads and chutney but also the quesadilla was fantastic. Definitely planning to go back whenever we are in the area.

Came here on our day trip visit to Aberystwyth. Visited after seeing previous reviews and wasn't disappointed. My partner and I had the vegan seitan roast and my meat eating mum had the nut roast and said it was delicious. The oat milk chai latte was one of the nicest I've tasted. Great choice of food, lovely, friendly staff and a chilled out atmosphere. As a vegan it was lovely to have so much choice and would definitely recommend a visit. We wished we had room for dessert as the sweet stuff looked amazing too.

This place is a little gem and you might easily miss it as its tucked away behind the market. Its a great find for people who enjoy plant based foods. Tom, the young guy who served us, was a great host: informed, warm and always attentive. The coffee was good, the cakes gorgeous and the portions were very generous. They also do take outs. I good this place continues to thrive- good for Aberystwyth, good for you and good for the planet.

We popped in for a quick lunch the other day, lovely clean interior with a great welcome. The food was fantastic I'm not a vegetarian but trying to swap out more meat from my diet and this place is perfect as it tastes better than the meat equivalent.

One-of-a-kind place offering tasty vegan/vegetarian menu and broad selection of vegan cakes. Great coffee too. On Sundays they do 3 varieties of Sunday roast (Seitan Roast, Nut Roast and Meatless Loaf), all of which are amazing. Booking recommended, particularly at weekends.

Really lovely food and reasonable prices. The proprietors are lovely, even the chips were hand made and awesome! Definitely want to come here again.

We had a beautiful vegan Sunday lunch at the Dragonfly Bistro. I had a nut roast which was homemade and absolutely stunning. The service was friendly, fast and the price was good too. The menu is extensive with lots of vegan treats to try along with a nice selection of drinks including a very tasty local cider 😊 We can highly recommend a visit 😊

We've been to this lovely little bistro a few times now and we are never disappointed. Fantastic selections. We've tried their pies, buddha bowls, sunday lunches and amazing cakes. And it is all vegan with great glutenfree options. Both our vegetarian and meat eater friends love coming to this place as well. Let's not forget the staff. So so lovely :)

Delicious homemade ice cream and the best cakes (all vegan and always at least one is gluten free). Chef is very happy to swap things out to meet dietary needs (and fussiness) where possible.

The food, service and cakes are great. The hard part is deciding which flavour is my favourite...so far the chocolate and marshmallow with chocolate ice-cream is up there but that could change! Has to be the best place for cakes in town.

Wow! This place is truly amazing. So much choice for vegans and all made from scratch. The best vegan cheesecake I've ever eaten. The mains were delicious too. Vegan cakes and desserts, its like heaven for vegans here. Literally can't fault this place. So very welcoming too. Thank you, we will be back from Haverfordwest to see you again :)

This gorgeous little cafe does fantastic home cooked vegan and gluten free options. The lovely owner and chef will endeavour to accommodate and dietary requirements and allergies. The cakes were also scrumptious! You are guaranteed a friendly welcome and great service.

Really lovely, healthy food. I've just moved to Aber and I was thrilled to pieces to find this brilliant little place was my nearest foody bolt hole. I do hope they manage to battle through lockdown and come out the other side because the staff are friendly and the food is great.

This is a very friendly place with delicious food prepared and cooked on the premises. Worth visiting whenever you are in Aberystwyth.

Dragonfly is a lovely simple place. It's the perfect oasis if you are looking for freshly made vegan- and gluten-free options. Not an easy thing to find around!Besides the delicious organic dishes, the place offers a very authentic vibe. You feel like you're welcomed in somebody's home, everything is relaxed and you can just sit down and enjoy with calm whatever you have ordered.Being very attentive around the safety regulations, the owner decided to cut down the seating to a minimum, a difficult choice, especially for a small place when the business is hard in the first place. Very rarely I give 5-stars on TripAdvisor, but Dragonfly really deserves it. Please, go there NOW and support this little gem in the heart of Aberystwyth!

This little bistro is a MUST visit for anyone visiting Aberystwyth. My family are all vegetarians and we had an scrumptious lunch here on 14th August. Our visit was made all the more delightful by meeting the lovely lady who cooked all the food. Since we could not persuade her to relocate to Durham we will just have to pay more visits to Aber.

So glad to have found this place. We are new to Aberystwyth and found this cute little bistro on Happy Cow - it had so many five star reviews we decided to try it out. We were not able to have a sit down meal due to the lockdown rules in Wales so we had out food to go. The seitan burger was so good. We also bought some cake and they were unbelievably good. Hard to believe it was all vegan. Can't fault the service, so very friendly. We will pop in again soon.

Found this place by chance when we passed by the market hall. So glad we did, it was a lovely little bistro with a big range of vegan food and cakes. We have never been disappointed and that includes the meat eaters amongst us. Love the buddha bowls and the cakes.

We visited shortly before this bistro opened in March 2019 and resolved to return when next in Aber. We had frequented the restaurant on many occasions under its previous owners when it was known as Gannets and offered an omnivorous menu. The new approach is very welcome. The decor was bright and cheerful (love the lime green tables!) and the enthusiasm of the staff was a joy. The menu was very comprehensive, and even the ice-creams (four flavours) were all home-made and could be had in veggie or vegan versions. We ate a primarily veggie lunch from the daily specials board and were not disappointed with portion size, quality of presentation, flavour, and service. We will be very happy to return on another occasion.

We've been here a few times and we are never disappointed. It was a little hard to find but we are so pleased we did. It's great to know that they take allergies/intolerances seriously. There were a few meat eaters in our group and they were very happy with their food. My favourite thing about visiting this bistro is definitely their cakes and desserts. The last time I was there we tried their caramel tart and it was so good!! It's hard to believe it was vegan and glutenfree. We are always surprised at how reasonably priced their food and drinks are... Look forward to popping in again soon :)

Lovely fresh meals everytime we visit with a specials board that's constantly changing! Large portion sizes and a range of dessert- Best desserts we have ever had! My daughter and I had spent the day at Aberystwyth University Open Event and were staying overnight in the town. We’d looked around for different places to eat and noticed Dragonfly Bistro as we were walking round the day before. It was very quiet when we went in, but the staff were friendly and welcoming. This is a vegetarian cafe, which serves vegetarian and vegan food, including a variety of daily specials from a board. We both ordered a green pepper and aubergine curry, which came with rice and chips. It might sound odd to have rice and chips. However, the chips were delicious and so was the curry. We were too full for any dessert, but enjoyed a glass of wine and some local pear cider with our dinner. I think this cafe deserves to do well, despite being tucked away. I remember it many years ago as a smart restaurant and am glad we returned.

Fantastic staff, and equally fantastic food! The cakes are absolutely amazing, and the water comes with fruit in it to add some flavour, very classy. A vegan must-visit.
