Dr Gelato in Bath and North East Somerset

Excellent homemade ice-cream, you know its a great place as there is always a queue. The owner was very pleasant and his apprentice (son) was very funny. I’m sure this shop will do well as the service and quality was great.

Superb service from bryn and kieran. Again. Superb portions. They always let me try flavours before choosing. They are passionate about ice cream and give personal recommendations. The only place I know where you can get a 5 scoop ice cream.

I visited here several times during my trip to Bath as they offer the biggest selection of gluten free ice creams that I’ve ever seen. The flavours that I tried were delicious and I even got the option of having a gluten free cone which is a rare treat. I’ll definitely return the next time that I’m in Bath!

Perfectly situated in the heart of the city. It may seem expensive but the scoops are HUGE. They also catered well to those with allergies and each flavour ice cream/sorbet has its own scoop so there is no risk of cross contamination. I explained my allergies and the staff were well informed and explained what was safe for me and that they kept allergens such as nuts at one end of the counter. There were also a lot of vegan options.

I’m so pleased I came across this place with my children. Far superior than Swoon that seems to have the reputation but for us didn’t deliver the goods. Really unfriendly as opposed to these guys at Dr Gelato who couldn’t do enough for us. The ice team was to die for. Great range of Vegan options too. I opted for the mango...mmmm so exotic. Waiting the warmer weather and we’ll be back. Customer service is everything, well done boys!

Despite the rather tacky signage the ice cream is first class with delicious vegan options, not just sorbets for cruelty free choices. Great cones and service. Yummy

Our family's experience at this small and sweet gelato shop was fun and delicious. There were a lot of options for flavors, a lot of options for those with dietary restrictions, and doable prices. We had a nice conversation with the friendly server working there, and highly recommend checking out this establishment. We also personally recommend the Armeno Cherry flavor with Dark Chocolate, and the Fresh Mint Chocolate 😊

With such a wide variety of flavours, it was hard to choose so I went for 5! Was pleasantly surprised by the blue cheese and fig flavour and the mint choc-chip was delicious and tasted very oragnic! The staff were very knowledge about the gelato and the coffee and were very professional and safe regarding covid-19. Will happily return again!

The blue cheese and fig flavour was amazing! So was the hazelnut. Came back the next day with my daughter, who had the fresh raspberry and she loved that too. I can’t believe you would get better anywhere else.
