Popped into Dottys on a Saturday lunchtime, mainly for a milkshake for my step-daughter. There is a large choice of milkshakes for £2 each, cream and sprinkles can be added for £1.50p and a doughnut for 50p. We went for both choices. She was very excited and said the milkshake was lovely. The doughnut, when I picked it off the top of the milkshake, felt very stale. We decided to order food. There is a small selection of meals on the menu including breakfast, toasties, paninis, burgers and ham, egg and chips. Smaller portions can be made for younger children. We both ordered a bacon sandwich and a portion of chips. The bread was cheap, only 2 slices of bacon and the handful of chips we received for £2.50 for a portion was a disappointment. My step-daughter had a toastie which came with salad, coleslaw and tortilla chips which a pleasant surprise. When I went to pay, the lady who served us picked up our tab piece of paper which clearly had been totalled up but then proceeded to go through my entire order with me, writing down prices and adding it up again, only to reach the same price as the initial tab form said. I then attempted to pay by card which took forever to make a connection and then said payment not accepted. I was made to feel like this was my fault and that I didn’t have enough funds in my account which was certainly not the case. Luckily I had cash so was able to make a payment. Would I return again? Probably not, unless just popping in for a drink as a treat. Basic, overpriced food and milkshakes and average customer service.

We have been to Dottie's several times now and it probably is my children's favourite place to go for a treat. They have a varied selection of milkshake flavours, you can have a small or regular size also so perfect for younger children. Then you can go extreme, for an extra £1.00, you can add a doughnut, cream and your choice of chocolate or sweets on top. Believe me they are huge! The choice of the chocolate or sweets is amazing, you have around 20 options. They sell really lovely coffee also and their food menu is great, good sized portions at great prices. This shop is really a lovely hidden gem if your wanting some nice homemade food or a tasty treat, great customer service and a very clean store, you don't need to go any furthur.

My go to place, pun intended, for fish n chips when in the Tiverton area. Lunchtime specials of cod n chips, 2 jumbo sausage n chips or 6 cod bites n chips all at £7 are an absolute bargain. The sausages are huge, the 6 cod bites are merely a huge piece of cod, cut into 6 pieces, then battered and fried. The chips here are always superb, crispy on the outside, light n fluffy on the inside. On this visit I had the 6 cod bites n chips, it was piping hot as cooked as I waited, so in less than 10 mins I was served with the best lunches from a takeaway in not just Mid Devon, but far reaching. I took it back to the office, it was still hot as in a box, and well wrapped. Absolutely delicious, and great value for money. I have also dined here as well as used the takeaway, and the quality of food and service are always top notch. A great choice, and reasonably priced, so great value for money.

Stopped here in the evening when travelling home for a bite to eat. We ordered food to table service via the app which works great and its easy to do. Staff that brought over our food was pleasant. Food itself was nice, and the fries were surprisingly hot which is rare fir Mcdoanlds.
