Lovely restaurant, friendly attentive staff. Starter of chilli chicken, plentiful and delicious, starter of dosa was lovely but not enough filling. The two curries that we had both sauces were delicious however 4 very small pieces of chicken in each curry which was not only disappointing but definitely not value for money. The rice very well cooked and tasty but again the portion size was small the price of the rice was high for the portion size. Parotta bread was the size of a saucer that you use if you are posh and drink tea from a cup and saucer again reflection of the price was not value for money. So just to conclude I have give 4/5 stars, it would have been 5/5 if the chicken was a little more plentiful and the rice and bread larger along with more filling in the dosa

Great Indian food. Lots of options to choose from. Vegetarian friendly as well. Liked their Sunday buffet menu too. This is my go to place now in Altrincham.

1st visit and we are totally blown away! Really lucky to get in at short notice (2 people) and so glad we tried our luck. Phoned and were given a time, sat down within 5 minutes of arriving and the place was packed. Staff were 1st class, took the time to explain some items on the menu which were new to us, asked our preferences and helped us choose, drinks without delay and food followed soon afterwards with perfect timing between courses - and every mouthful was delightful, very recommended!! As authentic as it gets , if you want to eat authentic Tamil food , then this is the place , i ordered the mini tiffin and was pleasantly surprised with flavors and portions . I will most certainly be coming back.

Had an excellent experience with extremely good hospitality in service & quality food. The food is Authentic South Indian cuisine. The menu has a good variety of vegetarian & Gluten Free options. I’d recommend anyone who’d like to have authentic South Indian cuisine to try out Dosa Kingss - you won’t be disappointed!

First visit here definitely won't be the last. Pappads we're freshly cooked, Pani puri and Samosa Chat were rather yummy as we're the dosas washed down with Mango lassi and ended with Masala chai

Group of 14 to celebrate a birthday. They don’t do a banquet but went through the menu with me to bring together a mixture of starters, mains and sides for everyone to share. The food was delicious and enjoyed by everyone - the absolute star of the show was gobi Manchurian. The service before, during and after was brilliant- they couldn’t have been more accommodating. We had a really great experience and they helped us make it a very special celebration 🥳

A good place to dine in with friends and family. Food was good and tasty. But the only thing we felt was the quantity was less for the amount they are charged for. Bill will contain 10% service charge too.

We mainly went here for dosas and were very happy and satisfied with the food. From the starters we tried Paneer 65 and Chicken Chukka. Both were tasty. Then we ordered a Podi Dosa, Onion Utappam, Chicken Karo Dosa and again a Podi Dosa cos we couldn't resist. The staff is very humble. They even informed us about their weekend buffet. The service was a bit slow as the restaurant got occupied and they had less staff. Otherwise, good experience, can't complain. And not to forget the detailing in their ambience, I fell in love with every little piece of work they have done. Transported me to India. Good job team.

We count ourselves extremely fortunate to have the best South Indian cuisine restaurant in Manchester on our doorstep. Here the food is consistently excellent and the staff are friendly and just the right amount of attentive. We bring friends from out of town here as a treat, and they always come away super impressed with the authenticity of the food and envious of our proximity to it. Yesterday me and my friends eating lunch buffet all dishes are empty that service is not good Iam felling bad yesterday buffet

We visited Dosa Kings for their buffet yesterday, and it was by far the most disappointing experience we've had. The staff seemed completely uninterested in maintaining the buffet. The dishes were either unavailable or not ready to eat, with the buffet trays intentionally left unfilled for long periods. There were only a handful of items offered, and even those were not readily available. Overall, a very frustrating and unsatisfactory experience.

Very disappointed with ur service..yesterday i came for the buffet with my friends...when we went to get the food there is no starters and chapatis.we requested them they said we will get it we will get it like that..For every item we need to ask them and wait for 10-15 mints.for every item they did like dat.chickn they served which is smelling bad....we paid 14 pounds per person,it's not worth it...very happy mood we came there and with very disappoinment we went back...

Food was great overall, high quality, a shout out to the methu vada in particular as they were soft, warm and fluffy. Probably one of the best methu vada I've had. Only slight critique is that portion sizes for some of the dishes like tangy mushroom and chilli paneer were a little small when there was enough room on the plates to be added. However they did taste nice alongside dosas and oothapam.

Enjoyed the authentic food, quick service and the house specials. Everything was very enjoyable and our kids liked the deserts and lemonade. Planning to comeback with friends and family soon.

Best Indian Food We’ve Ever Had! This restaurant serves the most authentic and delicious Indian cuisine we’ve ever tasted. Every dish was bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked, from the fragrant curries to the soft, fresh naan. Staff is incredibly nice! If you’re craving genuine Indian food, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

After 2 years in UK, first time we had proper authentic Tamil restaurant tasty food. What a taste, no words to explain how much we enjoyed the food. Loved it so much, even the filter coffee took us to kumbakonam...well done team...

I’ve always loved this restaurant and recommended it to everyone because of the amazing food and great experience. Unfortunately, this visit was quite disappointing. First, the table I was given wasn’t comfortable, so I requested a table for four with a sofa chair on one side, but since we were only two people, I understood they couldn’t accommodate that. I then asked if I could simply switch the chairs, as the ones we were given didn’t feel comfortable for me due to some health issues, but the staff member was very stubborn and refused to make the change, which was frustrating. As for the food, it wasn’t up to the usual standard. The chicken chukka, which is usually melt-in-the-mouth delicious, tasted very different this time—much less flavorful. The plain vechu paratha was tough and hard, though the egg vechu paratha was better. The chicken chettinad was also disappointing, lacking the depth of flavor it usually has. The only dish I truly enjoyed was the rawa dosa, which was still as good as always. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but the combination of poor customer service and subpar food this time really stood out. I hope they take this feedback into consideration and improve in the future.

Unfriendly & rude staff, after waiting , they offered a table next to door, as it was very cold, we requested to change our table, despite of having other tables, they didnt let us change. Disappointing experience. Staff showed no respect towards the request. We felt unwelcomes and not valued. We didnt order food, and left feeling humilated.

Great flavours and really tasty dosa and curry. Wide choice of dishes on the menu, so I'm sure more visits will follow! Staff are friendly and helpful but not obtrusive.

I saw a review elsewhere which peaked my interest and I’m so glad we went. It is a welcoming place and they’re more than happy to explain the food if you’re not familiar (we weren’t). We had a masala dosa, cauliflower and mushroom to start, followed by 2 curries, rice and parotta. Everything was very tasty, like really tasty! They manage to achieve a depth of flavour in the curries I’ve not experienced before. We will be back! It was a Thursday evening and the place was busy, so it may be best to book.

I recently had the opportunity to dine at Dosa Kingss Restaurant and wanted to share my experience. We ordered a variety of dishes including the Thalapakattu Lamb Biryani, Masala Dosa, Ghee Roast Dosa, Crab Curry, along with some refreshing drinks and a Kulfi scoop for dessert. Let me start by saying that the Masala Dosa and Ghee Roast Dosa were absolutely delicious. The dosas were perfectly cooked with a crisp texture on the outside and a soft, flavorful filling inside. The accompanying chutneys and sambar complemented the dosas wonderfully. I thoroughly enjoyed the flavors and spices in both of these dishes. The Crab Curry was another standout dish. It had a rich and spicy flavor profile that perfectly complemented the tender crab meat. The spices were well balanced, and the curry had a depth of flavor that left me wanting more. It was definitely a highlight of the meal. As for the Thalapakattu Lamb Biryani, while the taste was commendable, I did find the rice to be a bit dry. The flavors of the biryani were spot on, with the aromatic blend of spices and the tender pieces of lamb, but the rice lacked the desired moisture that would have taken it to the next level. Nonetheless, it was still a tasty dish overall. To end the meal on a sweet note, we indulged in a Kulfi scoop. The Kulfi was creamy, smooth, and had a perfect balance of sweetness. It was a delightful way to conclude the dining experience. Overall, my visit to Dosa Kingss Restaurant was enjoyable. The Masala Dosa and Ghee Roast Dosa were delicious, the Crab Curry packed a flavorful punch, and the Kulfi scoop was a satisfying dessert. While the Thalapakattu Lamb Biryani could have had moister rice, the taste was still great. The service was attentive, and the ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant. I would recommend Dosa Kingss to anyone looking for tasty South Indian cuisine with a variety of flavorful options.

Had a top food experience here. All the breads were great and the flavours/spices of everything we had were very authentic (southern Indian), non standard, and full of flavour. Eating at this restaurant made me emotional! The food here is exceptionally good. We had Hyderabadi masala dosa, ghee dosa and veg koruma, everything was supremely delicious. I was forced to change my review based on the experience after having food especially the following few hours at night! Very authentic south Indian Dosa and dishes masqueraded with unhealthy tasteners or ingradiants ! The fraudulent tactics on food is normal in India and the same is used here from the experience. After having Dosa extensive thirst and bloating experienced at night which indicates some ingradiants used to make it authentic in an unhealthy way. Horrible food and it's wise to avoid.

If you are an Indian and would love to try some authentic food this is the place that you need to come to.💯 We went there for an Onam Sadhya and they had the most authentic food I ever tasted. The Inji Puli and Kadala kootu kari was beyond expectations.😍 If I had a chance I would definitely rate above five stars for their heartfelt service.❤️ They are committed to serving the best food which feels so homemade. Been 3 times now and impressed every time. Much better than your regular westernised Indian in my opinion. The regular menu is great for a longer sit down, and the weekend buffet is insane value - and perfect for when eating with our 2 year old who doesn't like to sit in one place for too long!
