Don Gelato's Ice Cream Parlour in Ceredigion

When you’re by the seaside, having an ice cream is almost inevitable! Mine was from the Pier Ice Cream Parlour, a street facing kiosk which is part of the Royal Pier. It serves a range of interesting flavoured ice creams, along with a choice of cones or tub. My Smartie waffle cone with honey flavoured ice cream was tasty…and the round wafer was so cute!

This place is the stuff of legend, and so welcome on a beautiful summers day. Great staff, amazing vanilla ice cream and superb waffle cones. Seriously, those waffle cones are very easily the best either of us have ever had anywhere, and we've done the research! We got one on the first day to walk north along the prom, and another on the next day while walking south on the prom! Don't take our word for it, give them a go.

Nice variety of flavours yet portion size was meagre. Would go elsewhere next time due to stingy size.

£4 well spent. Two large scoops in chocolate covered waffle cone. Great choice of flavours. Seating nearby to people watch.

We enjoyed a chocolate chip ice cream from the Pier ice cream parlour which was delicious. Many other choices of ice cream.

Ice-cream is Ice-cream but it is who and how its served,cant say to much more except it was most refreshing and took a bit of edge of the few Beers I had have

Had lovely ice creams here over the Bank Holiday. Not sure how one of our party managed to eat a double cone, though, as it was enormous !!!! Great range of flavours, and my chocolate dipped, honeycomb cone, was absolutely delicious. Really beautiful ice cream. Perfect any day of the year !!!

Can here recently had the best ice cream ever I had banoffee and my partner had the vanilla it was amazing and very good value for money the people were so friendly

We had a meal round the corner at the excellent Port of Call then decided to have 'pudding' ( we're from Yorkshire so it's pudding not dessert) from Don Gelato's. Great decision as the choice of flavours was mouth watering at the choice of cones equally enticing. The portions are very good and we would recommend a single scoop to satisfy most appetites. Taking the time to eat our gelato on the benches overlooking the harbour completed a lovely day in New a Quay.

This is the place that we as a family choose to visit for our ice cream. We live in the town and walk the prom a lot during the summer months so we stop here often with our children. Ice is cream is good and they offer sauce for free which is great. They have replaced ice creams that have dropped off the cones more than once for us. We reward their good service by being returning customers. I love the fact that they have seperate Entrance and Exit doors to the small outlet although many customers don't seem to realise this and will try and push back past you and the rest of the queue with their ice creams!

Stopped here for an ice-cream as it was hot--the lovely staff were very helpful, polite and friendly, the main thing is the gorgeous ice-cream. Very clean and tidy

We recently spent a week in Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire. We took several trips to Aberystwyth, either as our destination of choice or stopping on the way through - in the space of 8 days, we visited Don Gelato 4 times! We knew it was good after visiting twice on the same sort of holiday last year. I would really recommend this ice cream parlour. Friendly and speedy service with gorgeous ice cream and lots of variety. I would especially recommend the fruits of the forest. It's amazing. You won't be disappointed

A quick pit stop on a family day trip. Great selection and delicious tasting ice cream. Nice setting on the pier and plenty of seating.

We all had a different flavour and they were lovely. Very small outlet but well worth it. Good service.

THE BEST ice cream, we make a point of going there when in Aberystwyth. Huge ice creams, lovely sauce, nuts. Yummy! And reasonably priced!

The choice of flavours and cones is superb. I had a rum and rasien waffle cone which comes with 2 scoops of ice cream. just wonderful
