He estado en muchos restaurantes en Ormskirk, pero tengo que decir que me dejaron preguntando por qué nunca había estado en Deli Sabrosa antes! La comida era excelente, el servicio era genial también! Música moderna, aunque no demasiado alto que sería secuestrar su conversación. El restaurante está bien iluminado, y no demasiado oscuro que no podía ver claramente el menú! Un lugar de moda, este lugar sin duda atrae a los más jóvenes, pero elegante y acogedor de diners 30 a través de 60.

Nice place if you like tapas lots of choice and good atmosphere

Primera visita a Deli sabrosa mi mujer y fuimos para nuestro almuerzo allí alrededor de las 23:00 1:30 y eran los únicos, camarera fue muy agradable y servicial, y la comida estaba muy bien, tenía albóndigas españolas con las costillas y fueron muy sabroso. Volvería otra vez!

Went with family and was treated very rude was told to move when we hadn't even finish are drinks after we had ate we where then told to move to another part of the bar whilst the manger talked and laughed with her friend and both turned to look at us leaving my 65 year old mum to feel embarrassed and walk out so would rather sit and wait in the cold

Absolutely wonderful food & atmosphere. Very friendly place with excellent service. Also had live music on at a volume it could be enjoyed whilst eating. If you haven't been here then you need to check it out. Best restaurant around!!

Went here on recommendation, what a disappointment. We didn't book but we were found a table no the less. The staff were very helpful but the food lets it down. Not freshly cooked, very much like a type of harvester establishment , would not return to this one.

Mi padre me trajeron aquí para su cumpleaños, leer algunos comentarios antes de regresar y él fue quitado pero yo estaba seguro de que lo están a la altura de nuestro pasado genial visitas. Nos recibió un muy amable, servicial y atenta camarera. Subimos a la orden había muchas opciones! La comida vinieron todos juntos- todo era muy bien y era muy sabroso. Me han impresionado con todo lo que contenía chorizo que era delicioso! El ambiente del restaurante es muy agradable, bien decorada y con una buena selección de música de fondo. En general, mi padre y el resto de la familia disfrutó mucho de la visita y volveremos pronto!

Came here for New Year's Eve was £75 for night with 3 course & live music. Arrived at 7 to be greeted with champagne & capes which were delicious, starter & main were also amazing ( scallops & veal ) only thing let it down was the chocolate fondant was very very dry, the table next to us warned us before hand, but did offer to swap it but I didn't fancy anything else, but had a very good night apart from the the singer was great

I have visited the Deli on quite a few occasions now with friends & family, for the life of me, I cannot understand some of the negativity posted on Trip Adviser, I have always found the food to be of high quality & service on a par to any quality establishment I have ever eaten in! If you want a good night out or a pleasant lunch, give the Deli a try, I ate at Benares Michelin star restaurant in London & Signor sassis's in Knightsbridge this weekend, as well as high end establishments in Dubai & the USA on a regular basis, - so I do understand quality service & food ! I wonder if there is a vendetta against the Deli Sabrosa??

It's been a while since I have written a negative review and in fairness ask for an all day breakfast then your not really choosing restaurant standard food. However, I would expect the meal to look and taste freshly cooked. The whole meal looked in fact like it had been cooked by a greasy spoon cafe. Brown edge around the egg, the sausage deep fat fried, the bacon like it had been reheated and the chipped potatoes had been cooked in old oil. Not enjoyable at all and poor value. The only saving grace was the young lady who served us. There are other restaurants in Ormskirk that offer better fair at more palatable prices

Food was nice service a little slow

Ate here with friends last week, service good and staff friendly but the food was just terrible. Nothing Spanish about it all all. Tapas at its worst , it was one of the worst meals I've had in a long while and I would not return for food at all. The paella was just awful and tasteless. Best thing about it was live music !!!

I've eaten here a few times, pretty average Tapas style food but nice layout and quite stylish for Ormskirk.Turned up for dinner recently to be told that our table had been given away (we weren't late) and no alternative options so basically go away - which we did, and we wont be back.

6 of us had a meal here in January, we had a great table and the service was good. Live music made for a good atmosphere BUT the food was very poor. For a tapas restaurant there was nothing Spanish about the food that arrived at the table. Paella that was clearly just some rice cooked separately from the bland chicken with chorizo thrown in. Pizza that was like the frozen pizza's from the 80's with too much tomato purée, hard thick base and loaded with tasteless cheese. Patatas Brava with so much fresh chilli it was all you could taste (menu didn't even mention this as an ingredient!) so disappointed and know that anyone could cook better at home! Won't be going back for food any time soon. (Time to change the chef??)

This place was really busy early December which just added to the buzzing atmosphere. Service was top quality and all in our party of six enjoyed the wide variety of dishes we had between us. Many of them are ideal for sharing as is the norm with Tapas. The timing of delivery of food was good too as we didn't want all tapas arriving together. Well done to the young lady serving our table. Pity they only do bottled beer but that is just personal choice in that I prefer draught beer or even better some real ales.Highly recommended.

Been here 3 times for food, the first time was excellent and the staff where friendly with a good vibe. 2nd and 3rd time the food was garbage.. Apparently the chefs got changed so the food just went down hill not worth the money at all.

The place was heaving, not room to swing a cat. There were far too many people in for the size of the room. There was no space for the amount of food on the table without stacking it up. Not comfortable at all. Food nothing special and very little choice for vegetarians. We were booked in at 9 and was a good 45 minutes before we got any food. Definitely would not recommend this place.

Came for a family celebration very surprised after reading some negative reviews, the service was superb the young waitress was so helpful nothing was too much trouble she even suggested a way of saving the birthday cupcakes I brought with me the food was delicious very authentic tapas we all had a brilliant time the guy with a guitar was a nice touch I would definitely return to Deli Sabrosa

We haven't been to The Deli for a while and thought we might go last Friday with a few friends. It was great! They always do live music on Fridays and Saturdays and we arrived to find it was a "Michael Buble'" tribute act on the night. What a surprise. He was fab and we all ended up dancing! As ever the food was tasty and the service friendly. The Christmas decorations look amazing. It's the best bar/restaurant in the area by far.

I used to go for luch there a couple of years ago and it wasnt bad apart from the horrid attitude from the female owner. So, the reason for this review is because I went back there for the first time in years and its gone more downhill since. My daugther and I went for lunch (not my choice) and although there was only another 5-6 other customers, it took 40 minutes for our meal to arrive. Guess what? Both meals were cold! I politely told the manager (who had only been on his shift for 5 minutes) we had been waiting 40 minutes and his reply was "Well it hasnt been 40 minutes has it"! Which turned into an argument, even tho I'd asked him to check the cash register receipt. Its a shame because its a nice looking restaurant, but wont be going back there again. My advice is go to the Fat Italian or Left Bank. They are aleways very polite and welcoming not to mention HOT food.

Visited a Friday evening ordered 6 taps between 2 people, all food came at once. One dish we ordered was meat balls, they came and were cold and hard, sent them back came back exactly the same. Spoke to the owner, he told us the sauce had been temperature tested not the meat balls!!! He tried to bull s**t us with some talk. Chefs all looked like kids. I defo won't be going back.

Despite booking over a week in advance we were in an uncomfortable corner with noisy speakers and unattentive staff having had to wait at the bar 20 mins after our booking time with no seating available or menu to peruse. Overcooked and cold is also quite an achievement. Expensive for tapas - there are better places on this street neve mind in this town

A very, very busy night at the Deli..... We had a late sitting, by which time they'd ran out of a lot of popular dishes. However, a great atmosphere and fantastic customer service made up for it. All the staff were lovely, but Charlotte went the extra mile to make up for a few disappointments. Overall, a really enjoyable night.... Tasty food, lovely cocktails!

I've been to deli on multiple occasions and never been quite sure about the place however when visited this time my mind was made up. Visiting with a friend on a Monday, 'Tapas night' we double and triple checked with the waitress that everything on the menu was involved in the 3 for 10 offer. Time after time she reassured us that this was correct even when taking our order. Before we'd even finished our food we saw the girl leave. Later after being asked if we were finished several times while clearly still eating (only 9:10pm at this point?!) the what seemed to be manager came over and cleared out plates, informed us that we could only have ice cream or sticky toffee pudding (microwaved) off the dessert menu due to chief leaving early and the kitchen turned off we got the bill.The expected amount of around £30 (two 3 for 10's and two medium wines) came to almost £50.The manager argued and said that half our choices were not in the deal and he wasn't willing to compromise after it was his waitresses mistake?Ruined a perfectly good night by rude, incompetent staff.Be careful!!

This was my first visit to Ormskirk on a date with a lovely young lady, she had been here a couple of times & thought that this would be a perfect place for us to get aquainted. She was absolutely spot on, the exterior was very eye catching , the interior was just right, brilliant ambience . The staff were superb , the menu had great choices & with a little help from the server our choices were enhanced. When the food arrived it was to die for, outstanding taste. This restaurant delivered on every level & it was very reasonable

A real gem of a wine and tapas bar with fabulous food, together with a chic ambience.It has a friendly welcoming atmosphere, without doubt you will have a great night out. We had our sons 21st birthday there in September and Lilly and the team made it such a special day and so many of our guests have returned for another visit as they enjoyed it so much.

Came here last night and was pleasantly surprised , the staff are helpful and friendly and the food really is immense it's not too pricy either , will defiantly come back.

Nice venue but that can't make up for the terrible food and decidedly average service. 2 of the tapas were sent back to the kitchen, the "chef" obviously hadn't tasted the food before sending it out. The drinks order was wrong and after all that not even 50p was knocked off the bill. Avoid at all costs!!

Great tapas with good mid week specials. I'm fussy but this was good. Went on a Tuesday night and practically ordered the whole tapas menu as it was hard to choose.

Booked for Friday 7.30. Shown to table straight way. Good service from waitress taking order for drinks and returning shortly for food order. Starter lovely , had mezze. Had 6 tapas, sardines, mussells, king prawn, spicy chicken, valencian lamb and pork ribs. Plus patatas bravas. Nice touch from waitress asking if we wanted the tomato sauce with the bravas. Some people might not want it. Couple of bottles of house red to go with it. All very tasty and just about enough. Couldn't manage dessert. All in all, really good food and service. Only low point was lack of appreciation from waitress, (not the one who served food) for the tip we gave. Hey ho. Reasonably priced with food £46 plus the wine.

Visited Deli Sabrosa last Thursday for an evening with friends. As usual the food was fantastic and the service 'spot on' Unfortunately the band booked didn't turn up - despite this Karen managed to find a last minute replacement and the evening was a huge success. Well done Karen for turning the evening around and making this another memorable night.

During my first visit to Deli Sabrosa We sat inside which is good that the customer has the option to sit either inside or outside a nice little touch the atmosphere inside was very laid back as it was lunchtime so it was not loud or particularly busy I ordered a soup & sandwich and asked for tomato soup which unfortunately they didn't have but the waiter asked the chef about this and he said he would make some up which I thought was great they really do cater to the customers also I have been for some great tapas here in the summer where I sat outside and it was just lovely fast service and delicious all I will say is its slightly overpriced I ordered a goats cheese and caramelised onion pizza which was around about £5 I thought it would be a decent size but was shocked when it was hamster size but apart from that it is a great place for lunch and tapas haven't had proper dinner yet but will hopefully soon. :)

I have eaten here a couple of times and never been impressed. The food in general is bland and lacks imagination. The staff although pleasant enough don't really seem to know what's going on, and most recently when my partner couldn't make their reservation due to her friend becoming ill received a very rude and aggressive phone call from a lady called Karen. My partner apologised for failing to cancel her reservation but that she had been busy trying to help her friend who was take. Into hospital for an operation that day. We will not be visiting this restaurant again and I for one am delighted.

Enjoyed our first visit to the deli. Bar was friendly and we were seated in a nice spot near the artist. Good good but not enough ordered. Will be back.

Visited DS last night and was really impressed. Having never eaten there before I was surprised with the lovely decor and authentic atmosphere. Our party was 8 adults and one child, a rowdy bunch and were looked after very well by the waiter, not rushed at all, and helpful with suggestions for our five year old. The food comes in helpful portions and everything I sampled was very tasty. I had the calamari, garlic prawns and meatballs. All highly recommended. Marked down only for the fact the waiter was running the bar and the restaurant by himself (rushed off his feet) one more front of house staff was needed. Top night was had by all!

Although we have lived in Ormskirk for nearly 4 years and this restaurant has been open for 3 we have never visited before - partly because we haven't really noticed it and partly because the name is misleading - it's not a deli. We had a lovely evening. The room is very smart as were the clientele - most people had made an effort to look good. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and efficient and the food was well cooked. We went on a Saturday night and they had a singer/guitarist on. He played at a level that meant you could enjoy the music but still have a conversation. A very enjoyable evening.

This is a lovely eaterie, the meal was resonable value. Calimari was a little bland but the ribs, the breads (the breads are great!! go for them) and the Spanish omelette was great plenty of veg. The Sardines were big unsurprisingly fishy and tasted gorgeous. The service was friendly, the kids loved it and so did I.

We've been in to eat for the last two Saturday nights and have had a lovely night both times.The food is fantastic and the service is great! We enjoy drinks at the bar before being seated and there is always a great atmosphere. There was entertainment too which was superb!We love it here and highly recommend it.

Went here for works evening meal out ten people,menu was very good and plenty too choose tapas style but also main dishes, I had ribs to start which were so good I asked for bread to dip in the sauce and no trouble providing straight away, then main fish dish special for that evening which was divine no room for desert drinks as normal a bit pricey compared to weather spoons around the corner but weather spoons is always cheap and food very poor, even so the bill was surprisingly good staff were fantastic and service very prompt lovely surround started us on a great night out

Booked for last night because we knew that the band the Green Machine were great and we have seen Asa Murphy and Steve Charles both fab singers.We both had a great night with good food, excellent service by Shelley. We have never been to the Deli Sabrosa at night although we used to go regularly for lunch. We will certainly go again there was a great party atmosphere. Well done to all.

Made a last minute booking, staff were very accommodating of this even for a Saturday night. Shelly served us, she was brilliant, very helpful, but not in your face. Good food, good wine, good live singer, great night!

Went here tonight for early dinner never had tapas before so didn't know what to expect it was nice different, not our usual restraunt food but made a nice change waiter was really helpful and friendly and the place was welcoming would deffo go back agen, maybe not order calamari next time now I know what it is :-S but everything else was really good

Went for a early afternoon meal and we were the only ones in. Really nice stylish place to eat. Waiter was really pleasant and helpful. Tried the three course tapas and had a desert too finish (outstanding warm chocolate fudge cake)Overhaul it was a place I would come and visit again.

Was sitting at the bar having a few drinks before lunch and bartender spilled a drink all over me. I know accidents happen and was cool about it but staff didn't really care, I was handed a tea towel and left to it. I was absolutely soaked but traveled out from Liverpool so decided to stay. Love the food in Deli Sambrosa but think the situation was handled pretty bad by the staff.

What a great night, tapas followed by music from the Other Guys a brilliant Jersey Boys tribute band.Deli Sabrosa is a great venue for food and drink and when you add a group like the Other Guys, well the evening cannot fail.I really enjoyed the Other Guys performance, they can really sing. One small request guys play more Franky Vali, you were good but very good when you sang these songsThanks Deli Sabrosa the food was great and the staff very friendly and helpful.

My sister and I brought our mum for a birthday meal out on saturday night. My sister and mum are both local but I travelled from Yorkshire, none of us had been before and did not know what to expect. The service was friendly and quick with gorgeous and reasonably priced food. We had been told that our table would be needed around 9pm, (we booked for 7pm)but at no time did we feel rushed to move. We were made welcome to sit at the bar after our meal and surprised when we found out there was live music. Marc Kenny was fantastic! Needless to say we did not leave until very late!! Fantastic night, will visit again!!

Been here before but was dubious to return after certain reviews but thought I'd give them the Benefit of the doubt as I know how negative some people can be. Safe to say we were not disappointed. On arrival we were greeted by two friendly smiles and shown to our seats. Charlotte ran through the paella night options on her recommendation we went with the mixed paella and a few tapas. When the paella arrived it looked amazing and we really fancied some red wine to accompany it. Lilly who I am guessing is the manager, due to her attire quickly recommended the Rioja and we ended up having 2 bottles. She was very chatty and made us feel very relaxed. We were informed about a tribute night coming up and are looking to book in with some friends who we know love Spanish tapas and know would love this. My advice to others is don't believe everything you read!

Came for lunch and it was dreadful, not just the food but the service. Two members of staff working and not even acknowledged we are ready to order as they are too busy stood around chatting. A couple arrive the same time as us and had drinks, order and food before we had even had our order was taken. When the food came we were not asked if we would like any condiments or more drinks just simply walked off and carried on talking to other staff members. When food came we had stone cold garlic bread and when asking for no onions in my meal, it came on the sandwich and in my gravy. As we are around the same age as the staff it feels as we were treated differently due to this factor. I come here regularly with my parents and have never had a service like this before and can safely say I will not be returning.

I visited Deli Sabrosa for the first time last week and WOW what a gem of a restaurant. I had a wonderful time. The staff were delightful; very professional and attentive throughout the evening. The decor is elegant, comfortable and made for a very relaxing evening. We ordered a range of tapas and I couldn't fault anything, the paella however was my favourite....scrumptious. It was all very beautifully presented. The owner, Karen, was there on my visit and it was great that I could thank her personally for my wonderful evening. She was a delightful lady called Karen. Thank you to everyone at Deli Sabrosa, I will most definitely be back.

Had a lovely time Thursday evening when there was a live singer, not too loud and very good. We chose paella to share and lots of Tapas which were all very tasty. Service was good and the staff all very friendly and attentive. Good price and will definitely be recommending and returning.

I visited Deli Sabrosa Thursday 18th June 2015. One word to sum up my night.. FUN!I had a table booked for my 4 girl friends, we sat in a very spacious table in the window of the restaurant. We didn't actually know there was going to be any evening entertainment on so we were wild when a lovely man introduced himself as Joe and started to serenade us haha! Of course we joined in with the singing and dancing and tried out 12 different tapas dishes and a chicken and chorizo paella, yum!!! Our waitress was lovely she recommended some nice wine and even got us on the cocktails. Thank you deli for the lovely evening and please let me know when the next singer is in as me and the girls will be back! I hope the waitress managed to get her dream job on the airlines too! THANK YOU!

This was my first visit to Deli Sabrosa and it certainly won't be my last!!We went as a group of girlies for a catch up last Thursday. The staff were fantastic, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was brilliant.There was music with a great vocalist which is a regular event. Check the website out for details. The owner Karen came over and personally introduced herself, she was lovely as were Lilly and our waitress Shelly, thank you!!We will most definitely be returning, can't wait!!!

Well, what can I say apart from rude staff, in particular Lilly who professed to be in a managerial position. The food was nice, but late and we waited a long time past our booking time to be seated. I have read some of the other reviews on here and can understand why people have reviewed this way. Looking at some of the replies from the owner, I can also understand why people would not return. If you consistently feel the need to disrespect the customer reviews then I am really surprised you are still in business. These people are entitled to their own opinion and quite a few of them target rudeness and sloppy service. I look forward to you, yet again defending your rude staff and your lack of chefs, waiting on staff etc. at the end of the day, it is a shame as your food is lovely. I won't be returning anytime in this lifetime and would not promote your restaurant to any of my friends, business associates or family. I would rather visit McDonalds where at least you get service with a smile. P.S. No, I wouldn't like to discuss this over a coffee!!

Walked past deli Sabrosa on my way to wetherspoons I did an about turn as the food being served looked amazing on the tables and the sun was shining on the front perfect.I never booked a good looking waitress called lily welcomed me with a smile and said it was fine for me to take a table outside happy days I had fish and 'REAL CHIPS' and mushy peas at £6.95 it was fab, I had a bottle of real ale Moorhouses blond witch in fact I had two. So glad I never went to Wetherspoons for frozen rubbish food and full of not rights haha sorry ranting thank you and see you again very soon I think Iv Iv got a sun tan bonus.

I was with a group of 12 friends for a hen party and we booked a table for 9pm. We were not seated until 9.40pm and we eventually got our main meals at 10.55! Very late for tea! We had pre booked where we had to pay a £10 deposit per person and we're told this would be knocked off the bill. We booked for 13 so paid £130 deposit. They only knocked £120 off the bill as only 12 of us had turned up. When we queried it the 'assistant manager' Lily came over with an awful attitude & said it was a non refundable deposit & it 'wasn't a waitress problem' later on as we were finishing our drinks I saw Lily mouthe to another member of staff f*** off gesturing to us. I am extremely disappointed with this member of staffs attitude and will not be returning which is a shame as the food was lovely.

Sat night out for 4. Great ambience. Live music which wasn't deafening and good to listen to. Staff attentive but not over bearing. Geat food reasonably priced. Nice wine. Good night out and will def return

Visited with a few friends food was delicious great atmosphere very well looked after whilst we was there, a man was playing live music at the front after a few drinks everyone was singing along! Brilliant will be going back soon! Very reasonably priced with how nice it was I was expecting it to be expensive!

I visited deli sabrosa on monday with a friend about 6pm it was very quiet but was expected being a monday! And yet there was still a good atmosphere with the waitress "shelly?" Being very energetic and full of character! We ordered the 3 plates for £10 deal with 9 dishes between the two of us! And even tho I am not a fan of tapas style I was blown away and extremely enjoyed the king prawns in chilli and coriander sauce and the Spanish sausages! Overall I would certainly visit again and am looking forward to! Well done keep it up!

My first visit, accompanied by my sister and brother in law ,who are regulars! Lovely welcome from staff, extensive menu and great drinks. really enjoyed the evening and thought it was good value for money. Will definitely revisit when next in the area.

Very impressed with this restaurant, I've tried tapas before & always felt either hungry or totally ripped off- this is the place to go for tapas. Monday is 3 dishes for £10- bargin!! Food is fabulous, the menu was so good we struggled to choose 6 dishes between me & my husband. Every dish was really tasty!! Going to leave the car next time so I can try the sangria which looked delicious! Will definitely be back!

Had a great meal at the Deli on Friday 3rd April, the place was heaving but as always great atmosphere. There were 5 of us and we are a bit picky with our food but the food was fabulous again it seems to have got better and better, this is up there with the best in Ormskirk, keep it up please.

We visited the Deli last Thursday for one of their 'music' nights. Wow ! What a great night, and what a singer who was on. I don't know his name, Steve someone, but what a voice. He had us all up dancing and we all left on a high. Can someone please let me know when he is next on? I'll definitely be booking in.

We go regularly to Deli Sabrosa and have always enjoyed the food and great service. We went on Thursday 12 March to sample the new 2 course menu. What an excellent choice the food was excellent and great value. We both started with black pudding and chorizo fritters, delicious. The main course I had the pan fried beef and my husband the belly pork. Both were extremely tasty. We highly recommend the 2 courses for originality and good value. Wish they did this menu every day instead of monday to friday

I've been to Deli Sabrosa twice in the last week and I have thoroughly enjoyed both visits. The first time I had the stuffed squid and the pork belly- both dishes were absolutely fantastic. Then on the return visit I had the garlic and chilli king prawns and the baked goats cheese tortilla, again I found it difficult to fault the dishes. The wines are good, the service is spot on and it's a lovely atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!

I was in Ormskirk with my mum for a university interview and we headed into the town for a bite to eat. I had the baked goats cheese with caramelised onions served with tortillas, and shoestring fries. The goats cheese was absolutely gorgeous, and the perfect sized portion. My mum had the artichokes that came in a herby vinegary sauce, the pork belly, and garlic and rosemary chips. She enjoyed her meal too, particularly the artichokes! The atmosphere here is lovely, with nice relaxed music in the background and friendly attentive staff. I would definitely eat here again. It is great for family's but would also be fun to go with friends for cocktails etc!

After a couple of bad experiences at what used to be a lovely place for lunch I thought I would give it another go as we were passing. As we didn't have much time we thought we would order something quick. Unfortunately things haven't really improved. We ordered a hot roast beef sandwich and fries and a Caesar Salad for myself, simple - well apparently not. My daughters sandwich arrived, (which was very tuff ) and the fries didn't. I thought you can't go wrong with Caesar salad - this 'Caesar salad' was actually just a plate of tasteless iceberg lettuce and not traditional little gem or similar and broken soggy croutons, it look liked a plate of leftover salad. If they had said at the time they only had iceberg I would of ordered something else.There was only one person waiting on and she was busy dealing with other tables so we decided to just pay and leave, the fries were still on bill so we informed them that they didn't actually arrive, the reply was 'well it's a good job you didn't miss them then !! I really regret not complaining at the time but at the end of the day it's not the waitresses fault, you just feel when your in there that the chef is too busy preparing for the evening's menu. It's such a shame it used to be so nice.

Go here quite often and always have a great time. The staff are great, always friendly and have a good knowledge of the menu. Food excellent and music at the weekend just adds to the already great atmosphere. Would highly recommend this amazing little gem.We are going again tonight, so looking forward to it.

After having two very successful Christmas staff nights out at Deli Sabrosa, and numerous delicious meals, we booked our daughters 13th Birthday there. We could not fault anything about the day. The staff were extremely helpful and handled the table of 12 teenage girls with great expertise. The food was delicious, with great portion size & excellent value for money. The atmosphere was fantastic, everyone was very friendly and we were made to feel extremely comfortable. I would definitely recommend The Deli for any special occasion. Thanks to all the staff and management for making our birthday celebrations so easy and enjoyable.

Called in to Deli Sabrosa on Saturday for lunch with my partner and 14 week old twins we were met as usual by a warm friendly welcome from both the girls who were working they were straight over to us as we arrived making sure we were happy with the seating arrangements for us and the twins , are drinks were ordered and delivered straight away , we then had time to feed the children and relax while we ordered are food , we opted for the soup and sandwich lunch which is one my favourite options off the menu and great value at under £5 , children fed and back in there seats are food arrived on cue the cream of mushroom soup was lovely as were both the ham and egg mayo sandwiches ,While we were there a 13 year old girls birthday party were arriving the 12 or so girls looked to be having a great time in the big booth at the back of the restaurantWe hope to be booking an evening weekend visit without the children soonWell done Deli Sabrosa we had another lovely visit

Couldn't fault it. Second time we've been. Staff are very friendly and attentive. The food is lovely. I was extra hungry so we ordered 9 tapas between the two of us. We nearly finished them all! Like I say, lovely food, we couldn't pick a favourite out of the 9 dishes they were all so good! Looking forward to next time

What a coincidence! I have just opened my emails and TripAdvisor have invited us to review the Deli Sabrosa. Guess where we have just had breakfast today?! We occasionally have breakfast at this smart and impeccable Deli. The high standards which the management achieve and consistently maintain, are in all aspects, ranging from their initial greeting through to the whole ordering and eating experience, facilities and charges, very acceptable.Some Deli's can often be pretentious. This one is definitely not; you get what you see and what you see is very nice. Well done to everyone at the Sabrosa!

Have been many times. The food is always fab, service is great & the atmosphere at weekends is great. It is more quiet in the week. Don't like restaurants however that also allow people to have drinks in there too & hang around the bar, they can sometimes be too close to where you are eating

After our first encounter here a few months ago we weren't overly impressed with the service by the time our food arrived we had gone past the hunger stage:.::we thought we'd give it another chance on Valentine's night and to say I was disappointed was an understatement! We paid 70 pound for the meal...the starter arrived an hour after we ordered the main was wrong and when I asked if I could order a side I was told yea by the waiter and that it would be with me shortly...our Bill came ....I didn't recieve the side order I was promised and I was charged for it. W hen I asked the manager I was told that the waiter shouldn't have taken any orders for sides as it was a set menu...fair enough but I was never told about this and then I was charged for it. So much for the customer is always right! The food was cold and on the 2.5 hours we we're there we managed to get 2 drinks!!! Disgraceful!

What can I say about this restaurant... It is mine & my boyfriends favourite place for date night. Thursday & Friday nights are the best as there is entertainment on. The atmosphere is lovely, we always feel welcome and comfortable here. As it is tapas, there is so much to choose from on the menu; the paella being my favourite. The staff are friendly, welcoming and on point for service. I would highly recommend coming here!! Enjoy :-) x

We were here for a meal early on a Saturday night, all was well with the ordering and serving of the food, it was quite quickly served and of good quality.The 'issues' were that where we were seated was adjacent to the entrance/exit to the servery and kitchen therefore there was a constant flow of waiting on staff bringing out meals and returning with plates etc, no problem with that until around 9.00pm when the place got very busy with people coming just in for a drink and some of them were occupying the space between our chairs and the bar itself, they were standing up to two and three deep thus restricting the space available for the waiting on staff to pass.The result of this was that, due to no fault of their own, the staff were having to squeeze past between us and the 'bar flies' and in doing so they were constantly knocking the back of our seats as they passed by, this became somewhat annoying to say the least!The manager or maître d' (a chap in a black suit) was also having to squeeze past so was fully aware of the problem but he made no effort to rectify the situation by asking the drinkers to move away from the area, this would have helped his staff enormously.To overcome this problem many establishments have an area of the bar which is restricted to staff use, therefore it doesn't get crowded and allows full access to and from the kitchens, this may be something that the owner may wish to consider here.

My first ever post on Trip Advisor... We visited on Christmas eve and had a lovely evening. Reading some of the posts on here I'm not sure what some people expect?! I've been here loads of times and will continue to do so. We don't eat out a lot having young children but come here as often as we can - says it all really...Food is always great and the service from the lovely girls makes it even better. Love the decor, toilets are always clean - what more do you want?! See you all soon!

It was not my choice to go to Deli Sabrosa, We had a booth table which i thought was better than the normal tables. I ordered a cocktail and the others had beer and wine. We ordered some sharers for starters which were delicious and we ordered 3 of the Tapas each. I honestly thought I would not like anything and leave hungry, how wrong was I! The food was excellent and fresh, and also filling. There was a wait for the food but I prefer that to being rushed. We also had a dessert and a liquor coffee each. The overall experience was excellent and I will be going back. I thought the staff were very friendly and professional. I cannot fault anything about the evening.

I visited Deli Sabrosa 3 times within three months for different occasions the end of last year. The first was just a casual mid-week evening meal, which was the usual menu, we picked several tapas options, all were very nice. The second time was for a friends 30th, which was a set menu, which I was not overly fussed about. The third time was for a works Xmas night out. It was extremely busy so we had to wait a while for our food but that was understandable but the only annoying thing was we had to be off our table at 9pm for the next sitting and there was no room for us to stand at the bar, so we had to leave. Overall the food isn't out of this world but it's fairly priced and there are a few nice things to choose from. The atmosphere and decor is lovely, which is why I think I like it in there. They also have great singers on certain week nights. It's nice to be able to eat a meal and stay in your seat after to relax enjoy a drink and be entertained, something which is not available in many eating establishments.

First time at Deli Sabrosa, dined here on 10/01/15 comfortable surroundings, bar was a nightmare waited for ages, bar girls were standing around talking one snotty girl from Leeds I think totally ignored my friends and I, ordered selection of tapas good fresh quality, properly cooked, arrived quickly served by Rosie, we added to our choice last minute and it arrived in good time, a little bit pricer then I imagined but well worth it. will come back.

Wow, what a fantastic evening we had at Deli Sabrosa celebrating the New Year. On walking through the doors we where greeted with a glass of champagne from the polite waitress. Tables where decorated with various hats, streamers and blowers. The food arrived piping hot and plenty of it, my scallops and black pudding was delicious and the lamb is definitely worth trying. The entertainment was fantastic and the musician had everyone up on their feet dancing. We had a great evening and will definitely be returning here. Happy New Year to all of the staff at the Deli and thank you for making our evening so special.

We went to The Deli just before Christmas. It's one of our favourite restaurants in the area, and we are very rarely disappointed. This particular night it was packed, but as ever, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere great. We had to wait a little while before our food came, but the staff explained that they were very busy, and we didn't mind. When it did come, it was perfect ! They had a singer on that night, and he was that good, one of our party booked him for her Daughter's 21st next year. All round a great night. We can't wait to come back !

We come to Deli Sabrosa on a regular basis and can't speak highly enough of the place. Great relaxed atmosphere, staff and owner who are very attentive to every detail and the food is awesome! My wife and I are quite picky where we go out to eat and drink, so this review isn't written on a whim. I am a vegetarian and feel the menu is more than suited to my needs and the chef has even tweaked the meal to my requirements. Not all places would. The atmosphere is great, day and night. Chilled, friendly, classy. Go and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

I met my friends for a fairly quiet lunch to be treated like children by the extremely rude woman who was working and it was evident that she didn't have time for us. I know that people have prejudices towards students but we were perfectly polite and were just catching up with each other and she couldn't wait to get rid of us! Not student or young person friendly!

We booked a table for 8, then as I went to pay a deposit was told we couldn't go as we had a child in the party. I am outraged and will not be returning. Disgusting.

Booked a table for 4, at 8.45pm for a small birthday celebration. We arrived at 8.40pm and were told that our table was not quite ready, so we had a drink at the bar. When at 9.15 I inquired at the front of house, when we would be seated, I was told that we were late being seated because customers had arrived late and were in no hurry to leave !! We were eventually seated at 9.25pm and ordered our meal of 12 various tapas. It arrived in good time but was more or less thrown on the table without any explanation as to what each dish was. The waitress came back to clear some dishes and took our wine bottle still containing wine. Half way through and two dishes had still not arrived.......they had been forgotten. The noise level is always high in this restaurant and it is sometimes difficult to hold a conversation, but when at 10 o'clock a singer started with his amp on full volume, it was impossible.When I complained I was told that it was nearly Christmas and what could they if it was so busy ! I have dined at this restaurant before, but am unlikely to again. It was obvious that they had overbooked and seemed intent only in taking in as much money as possible without any thought given to customer service, or satisfaction. One of the worse dining out experience I've had in a long time.

I get that berries are seasonal but not defrosting them first is pretty bad. Just a very average meal all round. Service was pretty good but the food was pretty forgettable. The atmosphere for a large party was good with a singer on but for couples I would check if that's what you want. Won't be rushing back.

Ate in this restaurant for the first time on 14/12/14. Place looks lovely, but sadly the staff and the service are not. On arrival it took me 15 mins to get anyone's attention to order a glass of wine and another 15 for them to bring it. I'm a Coeliac and they were informed of this ahead of our arrival, however my Prawn Cocktail turned up with bread on the plate. I didn't complain given the chaos, I just removed it from my plate, but this did make me wary! My mains of steak arrived with peppercorn sauce on, this I did have to query and was assured it had no flour in. However as I was about to start the plate was whisked from under my nose with some mutterings about checking it! I got another plate with the peppercorn sauce underneath the steak this time?!? I was assured it was GF though. My pudding was never brought despite being ordered. Women on the door who appeared to be in charge was extremely rude, we had to wave and shout to get staffs attention to order more drinks and then we were asked to vacate the table as they had other diners waiting, however it took them a further 30 mins to bring the bill and take our payment so we could have had the other drink we wanted. Wouldn't eat there again after this experience and would recommend to my fellow Coeliacs to approach with caution.

Booked a table last night 13/12/15 for my sisters birthday. Arrived to be told there's someone sat on your table so you'll have to wait till they go. 30 mins later we were seated - ordered food which never arrived - asked staff still never arrived so we left. Never again! Ruined someone's birthday meal - horrendous service.

the plan was to go for lunch but we didn't get there until 3pm. Although and odd time we were made very welcome and the full lunch menu was still available. They have a good sandwich selection for lunch but also have larger bites. We went for the steak which was one of the best I have ever tasted. Besides tapas the restaurant provides a whole array of dishes and covers most requirements during the day from an early morning coffee through to a late night party. It's a place that anybody would feel welcome at any time of the day. It makes a nice change. Rather than turning people away because it's the wrong time this place has seized the opportunity to provide different things to different clientele throughout the day. Well done for that and well done for having such a pleasant waitress who served us.

We've dined at Deli Sabrosa a number of times... the food has always been very good & although it's not cheap, it isn't overpriced... there's a nice atmosphere in the evenings & the service has been excellent every time... our only criticism is that the number of tortillas provided with the mixed houmous appetiser is extremely variable; sometimes we get plenty, other times we don't get nearly enough, then when we ask for more we're charged extra; please try to be consistent & give a decent bowlful of tortillas... overall though, in our experience, there aren't many better places in Ormskirk.

Eaten here twice in a few days. Tapas for lunch on Saturday was extremely tasty and just right for our appetites and then steak night Tuesday is exceptional value and seriously lovely. Great staff - attentive without being fussy. Highly recommended.

We went the Deli Sabrosa last night and it was really buzzy! A great singer and guitarist was on who we had never seen before. We had a fab night!
