After nearly 40 years of Madras I've been converted to a Charsi karahi absolutely beautiful

Gorgeous place to visit service was great, always checking to see if we were happy and got a drinks glass was never empty, happy with the service and happy with the food new menu definitely come back.

Why must some things in life be so difficult! Tonight I ordered from Delhi lounge at 5:45 with delivery due 6:25-6:45. At 6:25 my order was off out on its journey to me. At 6:55 I called the shop and asked how long it would be as it seemed to be taking a while and the woman told me it would be with me within 5 minutes. I was happy with this, just wanted to know my food wouldn't be cold. 7:10 I called again to a very rude man who told me 15 minutes. I said the food will be cold and he told me the bag keeps it warm for an hour! Yes so exactly an hour after it left the shop the food is supposed to be lovely and warm still? Unlikely. He was in fact so rude I told him to cancel my order and he laughed and told me to do it via Uber eats. You cannot cancel a live order on Uber eats. 7:30 I call back and speak to a manager who can't cancel the order as he isn't the manager who has the authority to do this but "he would sort it" 7:45 I get a phone call saying my order is outside! I told him to go away😂 worst thing than no food is freezing cold food as then I cannot get my money back. Contacted Uber eats and the bank and this is all cancelled and I have my money in my bank and safe. However I just want to let everyone know to avoid Delhi lounge! You won't receive your food in a sensible time. The length of time it's in some guys car will absolutely guarantee it's so cold you're getting a korma ice cream and the customer service is so horrific that I wouldn't even consider going in to collect an order in future!

Great place for a Birthday Celebration! Food was amazing... portions huge!

Every time we come up north from Bradford we always come to this restaurant and each time we have had a lovely meal. We have the £20.00 menu. We never finish the meal as they are so big portion of the starter course and also after poppadoms too. Doggy bag is needed and meal for the next day. Peshawari nan is to die for. It's honestly the best I have had. There is a lovely young girl who serves and she is so polite and sweet. Everyone who we have come in contact with have been so helpful and polite. Thank you until next time xx

The portion of fish is insufficient, and the masala doesn't taste good. It has too much oil and pepper, overpowering the taste of the fish.

It was absolutely lovely food as usual. The only issue was the cold food, but after reheated it was lovely.

Had a delivery. Food was amazing. I had the new asian butter chicken . Couldn't eat it all. Froze it with the naan and reheated today. Will be back !!!

We usually enjoy Delhi and it’s usually on time . Over an hour late and food wasn’t up to usual quality it’s not a cheap takeaway so it’s a treat usually , don’t know if they were extremely busy or there was issues in kitchen but food wasn’t as good as usually is was cold and curry was watery .

This is the 2nd time am experiencing this issue..The food is too late and it's cold aswell and when I tried calling them the line is always engaged it took a long time to connect the call and after answering they are giving silly reasons.Gonna never do deliveries from them again....

lamb chops were lovely but the curry was extremely disappointing

I order from here often so not sure what’s gone wrong. Chicken was wet not moist, lamb and salmon over cooked. Onion bhaji’s have shrunk.

Avoid this place, bad customer service, they just want your money… waited 55 minutes for take out food, got home to find my order was wrong but decided to eat it anyway because I waited so long then to top the experience off there was a hair in my food, I rang and spoke to the manager to give him a chance and he offered me 20% discount next time I go but I paid £21.70 for food which I didn’t eat, gone down hill recently since management changed and I won’t be going back, bad customer service, long as they get your money they happy but they don’t know how to deal with their mistakes, most of their reviews on here will be from customers who are drunk, to me it came across as a bar what serves Asian food…

first bad experience here usually spot on. food was cold due to issue with delivery time but sometimes that can't be helped. the vegetable samosa were actually meat filled aswell so wrong item.

We read the 4.9 start review having high expectation ,but was served with under cooked puri . We had also order papdam but we had to remind them 3 times for them to bring it and all the food tasted either too sweet or dry

Very quiet when we were in but the food and service were both exceptional! First visit and definitely won't be the last!

The order was over an hour late. When the food arrived it was freezing cold, curry had leaked all over the bag and they had missed the onion bajis. When I rang they offered to send the onion bajis an hour and half later. The excuse was ‘extremely busy’. In that case don’t accept orders if you can’t keep up the quality!!

A brilliant evening with delicious food, great value and wonderful hosts! We celebrated our upcoming wedding and the staff were so lovely congratulating us. The banquet deal is fantastic and we loved the variety of dishes.

The food was delicious and the staff were very nice and welcoming, we went for a staff meal and everyone enjoyed the food and atmosphere I even completed the chef’s special and was awarded with a icecream sundae. We will be attending again in the future.

Decent scran, just make sure you check your bill, charged us £132 at first then we told them we had the special banquet for £20 each had 3 beers each came to around £80

Really disappointed. Will not order from here again. Food arrived an hour later than scheduled and was tepid. Due to the temperature the meat tasted oily and had lost its tenderness. Requested a monetary refund.

Food was gorgeous but was late

We have just enjoyed an absolutely delicious meal at the Delhi Lounge. We took advantage of the 5 course meal deal for £20 a head. The portions were extremely generous and we brought home enough to have for dinner for 2 again tomorrow. The food was extremely tasty, we weren’t rushed, it was a shame that there weren’t more people in the restaurant, however it was midweek. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We will be coming back again. Thank you

just up in middelsboruogh..the Delhi lounge is superb....had the mix grill platter....between 2 of us...still.couldnt finish it....lamb .fish chicken tikka...tandoori....nan...bread...curry sauce... people in middelsboruogh....very luck to have a restaurant like this...

No food was delivered as there was a problem with Uber and when I rang back the next day as a gesture of goodwill they redelivered my whole order. The food was amazing!

Ordered online for collection. Food was ready on time. Excellent friendly customer service. Food was amazing the mixed kebab starter was excellent value and the meat just melted in your mouth. The Korma sauce was the best I have had so creamy. This was our 2nd visit and both times food and service has been amazing. Will be back for more soon.

The king prawn garlic curry was awful the spices have been burnt whilst cooking and this was the most expensive item. The rest of the food was lovely. Some poppadoms were soft from the steam but the others were nice.

Greeted into the lovely authentic surroundings, service was exceptional and the food was simply amazing. We enjoyed the Banquet option with a lovely pint of lager. Overall a very good experience and one I would highly recommend whether living in or visiting Middlesbrough. Ample parking opposite the resteraunt or as luck had it directly outside . Will be making this our regular Indian resteraunt. 🇮🇳
