Great place! Pies are spot on and the Pilsner is 1 of the nicest beers and cheapest locally. Great music too 👌🏻

Fabulous bar on the busy Kirkstall Road! It's a small friendly place, with a choice of real ales along with a choice of pies, perfect! Sit in or outside the bar and enjoy a pint with a pie, lovely!!

Just called in this evening. Great little bar, had a very tasty beef and onion pie with mushy peas.

First class conversation of what was a corner shop into a Vaults. Choice of 3 cask ales on - the staff changed the barrel of Blonde quicker than a F1 Team could change a 🛞! Bar snacks are available, toilets down in the cellar. Half a mile away from Burley Park 🚂 station - in the opposite direction to Headingley 🏏 & 🏉

Smashing place. Went in for a pint or 2. Persuaded to try a homemade pork pie and it was delicious. Now we can’t stay away.

The real ales are excellent and the pie was nice but had better. Very nice micro pub well worth a visit

Went for a drink after having a curry restaurant next door. Was with a group of friends. Just the place for a quiet drink after a good meal - cosy, nicely decorated & good service. I was driving so only had a pint of shandy but that was good too. We all liked it :)

A real gem of a pub. A great example of how awesome friendly staff can make a tiny bar on the corner of a busy street an absolutely belting place to go and have a drink. The pork pies are brilliant!

Top place despite its small dimensions! Been here several times now and the small selection of beer never disappoints. No fuss just good beer and chance to chat and enjoy. Had the pies in the past and they are good as well

A quintessential British style pub, which is a great place to chill out, having some pints and pies, and chat to people whom you have not met before. It's a great atmosphere.

First time visiting, very impressed. The Guiness was lovely, and I especially noticed the attention to detail. The toilets are stocked with sanitary products as well as toiletries to freshen yourself up - this should be standard everywhere! Everyone wants to feel good about themselves. The pint was about £5.2, which is a bit steep but given it’s a small place and area, this is fair. Lovely busy outside seating right on Kirkstall road, keep up the good work guys!

Loved this place, good beer and (proper good) pork pies with chutney/mint sauce, pickles and mushy peas as sides - the most excellent small but well crafted menu.

Very nice pub, great beer, just poorly served. Foam spills out and stains the glass. We will definitely be back, it's worth it!

Hidden gem in Kirkstall. I say hidden it’s right on the main road opposite the cinema!! Delicious food and drink. Lovely welcoming atmosphere. X

I was just in Leeds so nipped to this place seems ok, but they only serve pork pies and or Vegan only and Guinness. Well that's what everyone was drinking.

Jade looked after us and the ales are excellent. Great beers and pies! Could do with some grandad chairs.

Always a dark beer on tap, frequently vegan pies, excellent banter and no TVs (hooray!) Only downside is its hard to find out in advance if they will have any vegan pies left and they do run out.

Loved it, very simple though just a couple of choices of pork pies. Great atmosphere.

Popped in while killing some time waiting for the cinema to finish. What a great little pub, really friendly owner and nice atmosphere. Had a bottled Belgium beer and a hand pulled beer and both were really nice. The next time I'm in the area I'll definitely pay another visit.

Great pie and beer, but don't go expecting a fancy pub scenario. This is more like a good old fashioned small pub. Friendly service, a very nice, but smaller, selection of ales and alcoholic drinks and of course Dave's pies, with or without mushy peas, Brill!

Always have an interesting selection of beers on tap, staff are smiley and happy. There's a vegan option which is very nice but do be aware they're cooked to order so allow for around 20 minutes wait if you order this option. Suits smaller groups of visitors due to limited space. Definitely worth visiting.

Cosy little pub with the best pies I have tasted

I’ve passed Dave’s Pies & Ale on a number of occasions and always thought it looked quite inviting. So today 1st October my wife and I made a visit. From the outside and inside a very good and inviting look. Today’s pie offering were different types of pork pie. For £2.50 I personally expected something reasonably substantial and with £1.50 for mushy pies, I thought a decent amount of food coming, yum yum. How utterly disappointing small miserly pie and with portion of peas to match, the pie on the inside was lukewarm and cold in places. Customer service 0/10. Whichever customers have given this shop a good review in the past don’t know what pies should be like.

Great little place for a few pints. Best tasting Guinness I've had in Leeds. It is tiny, but we still fit in as a party of 6.

Sound little boozer jade is very knowledgeable on the beer front.

The cosiness of the seating area is only matched by the friendliness of the staff and the affordability of the menu. Great way to spend a few hours

A wonderful find in Kirkstall Road Leeds. A Fantastic host serving the very best hot pie & peas with mint sauce. There are several options available on pies, I opted for the standard pork pie & peas its was delicious and returned me back to the days when this was very popular in the pubs. Several draught beers available on hand pulled pumps a must. Great find and place to visit for a beer if in this area.

The atmosphere is pretty unbeatable in there if you're looking for a quiet and cheerful spot! Dave is lovely, ales are yummy, and pies & mushy peas are delicious and well priced. Can't wait to go back to this little treasure 😊

Went yesterday afternoon for a quick pint of dalesman blonde before heading to the cinema. Really nice inside.

Visited today from Newcastle. Had a mild and porter on both were excellent and beef and Guinness pie was amazingly good.

My mates and I called in for a drink on our way to Leeds and what a welcome we got.. Alright alright lads welcome what can we get you..... Brilliant little bar definitely will be back here again

Dave's Pies & Ale serves the best porter in Leeds - it's delicious. They serve a great pint of cask lager too. I will make this somewhere I return to regularly. The vegan pie & peas was also superb. Cosy & perfectly formed. We need more bars like this please!

Excellent beer selection and I am told the pies are truly wonderful (we went over the road for a curry). Not over expensive, but don't expect a pint of slop for £3.

Called in when passing as impossible to resist. Fantastic decor, reclaimed wood , a traditional bar , stained glass. The pies were paradise on a plate, also including a very tasty vegan choice. Great atmosphere, great selection of drinks. Bar staff welcoming and knowledgeable. I cannot believe this wonderful place has just opened. It feels comfortable and established. My new favourite place.
