Datca in Hammersmith and Fulham

My wife and I eat here last night. I had a Lamb dish the food was delicious lots of flavours, we were given a mixed salad good slice of lemon to add flavour, very tasty bread. I had a Turkish beer that was second to none. Highly recommended.

The restaurant recently opened offering Turkish rather than the former Lebanese restaurant under a different name There is a good choice to satisfy vegetarians and meat lovers and some seafood dishes The decor is nice with muti-coloured chairs The service was a little fussy, in a nice way, they were so keen to have us in for an early supper - I suspect that they are still looking to build up a regular clientelle We ordered a cacik, (a sort of tzatziki) between teh 2 of us - we got a very generous helping accompanied by a basket of warm, soft Turkish bread and a very large salad. The salad was excellent, vibrant with pomegranate molasses, pickled chillies and a fresh mix of vegetables. Quite frankly this was more than enough as a meal in itself For mains we had a haloumi kebab that came with bulgur nad rice and charred pepper, I had the kofte kebab that had similiar trimmings Altogther too much to finish The food was very good and there were bottles of sauce to spice up the food We had a decent bottle of Pinot Grigio to go with it We were given a delicious baklava each and a rose liqueor and a Turkish raki on the house Prices are reasonable and we will return, particularly interested in trying teh breakfast offer
