The restaurant missed out a few items which I ordered which I found frustrating. Hopefully next time they get my order right

Kenkey was great but the 🍜soup wasn’t good

Honestly, the TikTok (London Hotspots) review is what enticed me to visit. Never again will I be bamboozled! I ordered fufu with goat soup and jellof rice and stew. The soup was very watery and flavourless. The meat had more fat than anything and let’s not mention the slice of furry teddy bear I had floating around in my soup. Sorry shaki is not for me. The fufu on the other hand was actually nice and didn’t have a plastic after taste. The jellof rice was on nothing to sing home about and the stew was just stew. I’m not blown away nor impressed in the slightest. The smell of what I think is a clay pot that the soup came in had a horrid odour which was infecting the soup! Honestly, Ghanaian aunties have better food in their homes. The lady serving us was pleasant but I had more help from customers than I did from people working there. I even got asked if I enjoyed my food to which I responded no, In fact, I told her that the smell of the pot was changing the taste of the soup to making it almost inedible to which she replied, oh I’m so sorry so I said if you’re so sorry you can take something off my bill if you want as a goodwill gesture she said no she can’t and I said okay that’s fine, I didn’t come for a free meal anyway. I’m happy to pay my bill because I wanted to go there and try it, I tried it. I hated it and I won’t return. From a non Ghanian, who love flavoursome food visit Kate cafe instead.

The worse place I had 2 eat I asked the the server to put my food in a takeaway bag and she throw it in the bin she has no english understading what's so ever the menu was rubbish she had to go make my food from scratch the service was rubbish. I can't belive I paid £33. So disappointed

It’s good, but customer service could improve. It feels as if it’s a crime asking for items when you are the one paying. The waakye does taste authentic, very Ghanaian like, but my goodness they are stingy with their portions.

By far the best kenkey in south London. Very friendly service as well.

When food is good, You can feel it wake you up, Your body feels clearer & sharper This place has that food.

Absolutely great place, with delicious food and super friendly service. Highly recommend the kenkey with Ghana fish, red pepper and shito. Great value for money as the portions are quite large 10/10!

The food is very great. I didn’t expect it to be that good. My friend had kenkey and bought some more to take home. I had waakye and I loved it. It's budget friendly and you get large portions of food that takes your palate back to Ghana. I will 10/10 recommend.

Lovely food, authentic and good value for money. The lady who served us was so nice and we felt welcomed. There was even a customer who chatted to us and recommended what we should try on our next visit! I highly recommend 👌

Great food and friendly service

We really enjoyed our food and the staff friendliness and care. I will most likely go again and try the other dishes!
