Great atmosphere and memorabilia is amazing Main courses Steak pie and scampi were excellent however steak was not the best quality for the price Desserts were served without cutlery and so we had to ask at bar for spoons The trifle had to be returned as it was too crunchy in the custard These were then not removed from bill until pointed out at payment Having been on several occasions previously was overall disappointing (previously rate a 5* ) Can only presume it was because it is bank holiday weekend and they were busy

Incredible Sunday lunch. Freshly cooked local produce generous portions tender meat. Our table also had sausage & mash, the chilli &rice just when we thought we didn't have room for dessert we saw them come out to another table and was tempted. The biscoff cheesecake was something delicious and different being served with biscuit base on the top. We also had sticky toffee sponge and custard but had to share The decor and artifacts and memorabilia male the dambusters linking this gorgeous village pub to its roots. A must for any foodie and aircraft enthusiast. We'll definitely be back soon

What a wonderful memorial and heritage location, alongside an award winning pub. The food is top quality, and I love the slow roasted pork and the venison burgers. Some of the best food and service I have experienced. The heritage tributes inside the pub give a real look back at RAF Scampton's Dambuster crews. Well done, Steve, for creating a local pub that is historic Haswell as serving local real ales.

Had booked a table for a Saturday night, which is advisable as it was very busy. Had a friendly welcome at the bar on arrival, ordered some drinks and we were then taken through to our table. Much bigger than it looks from the outside. Tastefully decorated and in keeping with the history of Scampton and links to the former RAF Scampton. Ordered our food which came quickly and it was very tasty. I ordered the garlic mushrooms, followed by scampi and chips. Good portions. Not too small and not huge. Just the right size. The food is reasonably priced and of good quality. The only criticism I had was the food service. We were sat on a table for 6 when there were 4 of us. All the food and drinks were delivered to the end of the table and not to the individuals. There was enough space to deliver to the individuals sat at the table. Had to ask for missing cutlery. Only being picky having worked in the industry for 30 years. Didn't ruin the experience and would return. Improved attention to detail would only enhance this already great venue. Would recommend a visit.
